Chapter 3: Mysterious Duelist!

dragon rose 11: Glad you like it! and I will just use Envoy of the End, not the Armageddon. I'm not use BLS: Envoy of the Beginning but for Tachyon and Five Headed Dragon I'll use it in future chapter.

I woke up from a good night sleep as I looked around and found myself in Yuya's room and I wears an yellow pajamas.
'So this is not dream..' I muttered before I look at the clock and it show 6 AM.
'Better I do something for them..' After that, I got off from the bed and went to the bathroom to wash my face, brushed my teeth and then wears my usual outfit and go to the kitchen to make a breakfast.
Yuya's Room
In 8:00 AM, Yuya opened his sleepy eyes after his alarm went off as the sunlight shone brightly.
"Hey Kalin.." Yuya called weakly, rubbing his eyes. He turned around and realize that I has already gone.
"Kalin ?" Yuya called again before he whiff a delicious smell.
"Mom must be making breakfast rightnow! And I bet Kalin already on the kitchen!" Yuya said before he went to the bathroom, brushed his teeth and wash his face and change his pajamas and wear his usual clothes and go to the kitchen by sliding down the stairs pole.
"Good morning mom! Kal-" Yuya stopped his greeting as he saw his mom sitting on the table when I cooking with his mom's apron on me.
"Morning Yuya." I greeted him.
"Kalin, what's going on ?" Yuya asked.
"Kalin decided to prepare a breakfast for us!" His mom said happily.
"You can cook Kalin ?" Yuya asked me.
"Why of course. I'm a traveller after all." I said while cooking a pancake. "I must be able to cooking or I'll starve to death."
"Fair point. But you don't have to do this Kalin." Yuya told me.
I shook my head. "I don't want to be allowed to stay here and do nothing."
"You really are gentleman Kalin-kun! You will be an wonderful husband if you get married!" Yoko praised me.
I blushed slighty at her comment. "You're flatter me Yoko-san."
"It's truth!" She said passionately.
I then approached the table with three dishes and three glass of orange juice. One is a three stack pancake with a maple syrup and a butter, one is a french toast with boiled egg and hash brown and the last is a red bean, fried egg, hash brown, bacon, toasted mushroom and toasted tomato.
"Itadakimasu." I wishes before eat.
After Breakfast
"I'm going to hangout with Yuzu and the kids. You come Kalin ?" Yuya asked.
"Maybe later Yuya. I want to explore the city since I'm new in town." I answered.
"Okay then." Yuya said as he go out from his house.
"Alright, I'm out too." I said before leaving the house.
"Careful you guys!" Yoko said.
Later that day
I walked down at the city and saw many kids Dueling, playing at the park or simply just sat at the park chair and talk to their friends. Rightnow, I'm in a Card Shop called Satellite Shop to buy some cards.
"Hmm.. I should edit my Deck a bit.." I muttered as I check the pack one by one before I found the pack that interest me and buy it. I removed some of my cards and replace them with a new cards.
After that, I leave the shop and just walking aimlessly until I saw Sawatari's goons was running as they carried a bags full of food and went to their destination.
'If I remember correctly, this was the episode when Yuto confronts Sawatari.' I thought before smirk. 'Alright, need some action today.'
With that, I follow them as quiet as possible. They entered some kind of warehouse. I was about to do the same until I heard a familiar voice from my back.
"Kalin!" I turned around and see Yuzu and Ayu. They seems surprise to see me here.
"Yuzu ? Ayu ? What are you doing here ?" I asked.
"When I and Ayu buy Ice cream, I saw those jerks running to this place. I think they preparing a revenge on Yuya again so I came here to put them in their place." Yuzu told me.
"Same here." I responded before turned to Ayu. "Ayu, you better go back to You Show and get Yuya. Don't worry, Yuzu and I can handle them." Ayu nodded as she ran back to You Show.
Yuzu and I then open the doors and get in to the building.
"SAWATARI!" I yelled as Sawatari almost chocked on his food out of his surprise.
"Hiragi Yuzu ?! Kalin Fredrick ?! How did you get here ?!"
"You can thanks to your underlings." I simply said as Sawatari gave them a death glare.
"Seriously, what's your problem with Yuya ? Can you just let him live without annoying him ? Why don't you just accept that you're a third rate Duelist ? Look at Yuzu, she's so worried her boyfriend was hurt because of you." I said as Yuzu blushed furiously.
"Yuya's not my boyfriend!" Yuzu yelled.
"Whatever you say Yuzu." I replied.
"What do you say ? You dare to mock the Neo New Sawatari ? The best Duelist in the city ?" Sawatari said.
"Idiot. Neo means new New. So that means your name is New New Sawatari which sound stupid. And second, a best Duelist in the city ? Don't make me laugh. Your moves are so predictable that even Ayu, Tatsuya and Futoshi can beat you in one turn. You clearly give Monarch a bad name." I replied as Sawatari and his goons was growling in anger. Sawatari command one of his underlings to locks the door.
"That's it Fredrick! Let's settle this once and for all!" Sawatari activated his Duel Disk.
"You wan't to lose so badly huh ? Well I gladly accept your wish!" I want to activate my Duel Disk before Sawatari goons who close the gateaway screaming in pain as he was sent to the floor. Everyone turned to the gateaway and found a mysterious person. The new arrival was a masked Duelist with a punk-style outfit. It was our Phantom Knights Duelist Yuto.
'There you are..' I thought.
"Let me do this." Yuto said calmly as I nodded and lowered my arms.
"Fine. Just please don't beat him so badly." I said.
"Hey!"
"Thank you.." With that, I led Yuzu to stepped back away as Yuzu tilted her head in confusion.
"Don't worry Yuzu. He can beat him." I assure her.
"And who are you, Mr. Knight ?" Sawatari asked Yuto. Yuto didn't answer as he activated his Duel Disk while his eyes are focused on LDS badge on Sawatari's collar.
"Strange Duel Disk. So you're don't want to talk. It's fine, but if I win, you must take off your mask." Sawatari said as he activated his own Duel Disk and the Duel was start.
Yuto sets 5 cards on his hand. Sawatari and his goons underestimate his startegy and destroy his set cards with his Mobius and try to attack him directly. But, Yuto protected himself using his three Phantom Knights of Shadow Veil from his Graveyard. Sawatari managed to destroy one of his Shadow Veil with his Mobius.
"You're just using that Monster as wall. I set one card facedown and end my turn. Make it quick so I can destroy you on my next turn." Sawatari snorted.
At his declaration, I couldn't help but cuckled, this make everyone looked at me in curious.
"What's so funny Fredrick ?" Sawatari asked in annoyance.
"You better surrender Sawatari. You already lose againts him." I told him as everyone shocked at my explanation except Yuto.
"He's right you know." Yuto added. "Your tactic are so transparent. There's a originality in it."
"Hey!"
Then Yuto draws a card. "After all, the conditions are perfect since I have 2 monsters with the same level."
"What does he means ?" Yuzu asked in confusion.
"Please Yuzu, it's obvious what he can do with two Monsters who have the same Level." I told her.
Yuzu seemed confused at first, before suddenly realized what I meant. "Don't tell me he can.."
"I Overlay my two level 4 Shadow Veil!" Yuto declared, much to their shock.
"It can't be..!" Sawatari said in disbelief.
"Formed a pitch black darkness, to fight those foolish enough to opposite it's treacherous fangs! Now Descent! Xyz Summon! Appear, Rank 4! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!"

"Xyz Summon.." Yuzu murmured, looked amaze at the dragon.
"Xyz Summon ?!" Underling 1 said in disbelief.
"Only LDS elite that choose that course!" Underling 2 added.
"Oh please! It's not that hard! Anyone can do it without a course. More prove that you just a third rate Duelist!" I yelled in disbelief at their stupidity, which make them growled.
And then Sawatari began clapping, totally not learn from his defeat before.
"I'm admitted you can Xyz summon, but your dragon attack only 2500. It can't defeated my Mobius." Sawatari snorted.
"You never learn do you ? That just more prove that you are just a third rate Duelist." I said as he getting attention from everyone except the masked Duelist who remained silent.
"What was that!" Sawatari growled in anger.
"Nevermind." I sighed, I can't believe he's completely clueless. I turned to Yuto. "This guy is completely hopeless. How about you show them the power of Xyz Monster ?"
Yuto nodded before turning into Sawatari. "I think you should see the power of Xyz Monster. I activated Dark Rebellion effect! By detaching one overlay unit, I can halve one level 5 or higher Monster on opponents field until End Phase and Dark Rebellion gains the lost amount. Treason Discharge!"
Dark rebellion wings opened and released a purple electric discharged who bind Mobius, absorb it's power.

"3900 ATK ?!" Sawatari yelled in shocked.
"I don't think our guest mentioned his dragon effect being an Once per Turn." I mentioned, much to everyone surprise except dark Duelist.
"Once again, I activated Dark Rebellion's effect. Treason Discharge!" Once again, Mobius ATK getting absorb by Dark Rebellion.

"4600 ATK!" Yuzu exclaimed.
"No way!" Sawatari said in fear.
"Just like I said." I said.
"Battle! Dark Rebellion attack Mobius! Revolt of lightning disobey!" The black dragon stabbed Mobius, making Sawatari flying to the ground while the building was shattering. Yuto protect Yuzu from the shockwave while I shielded my eyes from shockwave until it calm down.

"It was a real impact ?!" Underlings 2 asked in fear.
"And this isn't an Action Field!" Underlings 1 added.
Yuto approaching Sawatari and grabbed his LDS badge.
"You're with LDS right ? Then what your connection to Academia ?"
Sawatari didn't know what Yuto meant. "Academia ? What are you talking about ?"
"Don't play dumb with me!" Yuto demanded angrily, making Sawatari flinch.
"It's true! I really don't know anything about this Academia! Believe me!" Sawatari protested.
"I see.." Yuto sighed. "Then, we're done here.." As Yuto wants to leave the warehouse..
"The Duel isn't over yet! I activated a trap, Ice rage shot! If Aqua monster I control is destroyed by battle, I can destroy one monster on opponent field and then you take equal damage to its ATK! I destroy Your Dark Rebellion who have 4600 ATK! Take that 4600 damage and I will win!" Sawatari stated as he laughed maniacly.
"Just give up Sawatari. As I said, you already lose." I said to him.
"What are you talking about ? Sawatari is going to win!" Underling 1 said.
"Yeah I believe that." I said mockingly before turned into the masked Duelist. "How about you show your last trick to them ?"
"This guy is keep impressing me. Such a cheap trick won't work on me." He said.
"What ?!" Sawatari yelled comically.
"I activate a Continuous Spell Phantom Knight's Spear! By banishing this card, I negate your trap card and destroy it! And you take 100 damage! Now experience the pain and sorrow of the battlefield!" The masked Duelist declared as Sawatari looked in fear.
"Wait.. Wait.. Wait.. wait.. WAIT! Sawatari screamed as the spear pierced his jacket.

Once the duel finished, the masked Duelist took off his mask and it revealed a familiar face. He's has the same face as Yuya Sakaki.
"Yuya!" Yuzu exclaimed in shocked.
"It's you.." Sawatari muttered before passing out. His underlings quickly carrying him and ran away from the warehouse as fast as possible.
"Yuya.. why are you here ? And why you dressed like that ?" Yuzu wondered as she approached Yuto.
"Yuzu, that person isn't Yuya." I said to Yuzu.
"What do you mean ? He clearly looks like.." Yuzu began to protest as I interupped her.
"Seriously Yuzu ? I don't remember Yuya has a black and purple hair, have a grey colored eyes and can use Xyz summon." I said. How can everyone in this show can't see this detail ?!
Yuzu looked at the mysterious boy, who narrowed his eyes at me suspiciously as he approached me.
"Your knowledge on dueling skills and Extra Deck Summoning is far too high for people in this Dimension. You're not from Xyz dimension as I never seen you before, which means either you're from Fusion or Synchro Dimension. I will Duel you to find out." The mysterious boy stated as he activated his duel disk once again.
'Great.. Now he's suspicious on me.. but, it's a great opportunity to show Yuzu this person isn't Yuya.' I thought.
"Very well, I accept your challenge." I declared.
"Kalin! You sure ?" Yuzu said worriedly.
"Listen Yuzu! Go find Yuya, he might got lost when I told Ayu to come here. I will duel our guest here." I demanded.
"But-" Yuzu want protest again.
"There's no time for argument! Just go!" Then Yuzu nodded and started ran out to search Yuya, much to Yuto surprised.
'She's not reconignize me, that means she's not Ruri.' Yuto thought.
Before we duel, I have a question to you. Who are you ? And what are you doing here ?" I demanded.
"I'm Yuto." Yuto answered. "But, I don't tell you anything."
"Then, why did you attacking Sawatari ?" I asked sharply.
"I just mistook that girl was my comrade Ruri. And that guy Sawatari wants to hurt her." Yuto answered.
"You mean Yuzu ? So I take it that Ruri looks like her ?"
"Yes.."
"Then how about this ? If I win you must tell me everything happened between you and Academia and if I lose I'll forget what happened in here." I offered as I activated my Duel Disk.
"Fine." Yuto accept the offer.
The two duelist shout at the same time.

"I Summon Phantom Knights of Ancient Cloak!" A blue shadow warrior with a black cloak appeared on the field.

"When I have "Phantom Knights" monster on my field, I can Special Summon Phantom Knights of Silent Boots from my hand in defense position!" A blue shadow warrior with brown clothes and wears an skull neclace appeared on the field.

"And I Overlay my Level 3 Ancient Cloak and Silent Boots! Souls of warriors fallen on battlefield, revive again and be the light to rend the darkness! Xyz Summon! Rank 3! Phantom Knights of Break Sword!" A headless shadow warrior who holding a big sword and ride a horse appeared on the field.

"Xyz Summon already huh ?" I asked him.
"I set 3 cards facedown and end my turn." Yuto stated.

"My turn! Draw!" I declared as I draw my card.
"I Summon Decoy Dragon!" A small green and white dragon appeared on the field.
Decoy Dragon ( ATK 300/DEF 200/Dragon/Fire/LV 2 )
"Then I activate Polymerization! I fuse my Normal Monster Flamvell Guard and Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my hand!" I declared while Yuto widened his eyes in shock.
"Polymerization ?! Is he from Academia ?!" Yuto said loudly.
"Guardian of the volcano and the legendary dragon! Become one and awaken the ancient dragon that sleeping in the abyss! Fusion Summon! Rise! First of the Dragons!"
First of the Dragons ( ATK 2700/DEF 2000/Dragon/Dark/Fusion/LV 9 )
"Fusion user.." Yuto said in a bit disgust tone.
"You hate Fusion Summon, do you ?" I asked him as Yuto became shocked on how I figured that out.
"How.. ?" He asked.
"Simple actually. I can tell from your voice and the way how you Duel. It fill with pain and sorrow." I replied as he became more shocked on how I figure that out from just listening his voice and the way he's Dueling.
"Listen Yuto, it's not a gun that kills people, but the person that pulled the trigger." I said, make him tilted his head in confusion.
'What does he meant by that ?' Yuto thought.
"Now let's back to the Duel. Battle! First of the Dragons attack Break Sword!" First of the Dragons unleashed it's flame breath at Break Sword.
"Continuous Trap open! Phantom Knights Fog Blade! As long as this card is on the field, your Monster can't attack also it's effect are negate!" A thick fog surrounded my Monsters.
"In Main Phase 2, I activate a Spell Card of Demise! I draw until I had 5 cards on my hand but in my 5th Standby Phase I must sent all my cards on my hand to the Graveyard! And then I set two cards facedown and end my turn." I concluded.

"My turn! Draw!" Yuto said as he draw.
"I activate Phantom Knights of Break Sword Monster effect! By detaching one overlay unit, I can destroy one card from my field to destroy one card your controls! I destroy my Fog Blade and destroy your First of the Dragons!" Yuto declared as Break Sword took one of it's Overlay unit and then charge at First of the Dragons.
Phantom Knights of Break Sword ( OVU: 2 - 1 )
"I activate Dragonic Knight's effect from my hand! When a Monster effect is activate that target and destroy a my cards I control, I can send that targeted cards to the Graveyard and then Special Summon Dragonic Knight from my hand!" Then a green dragon with white armor and holding a sword and shield appeared on the field.
Dragonic Knight ( ATK 2800/DEF 2300/Dragon/Fire/LV 7 )
"Battle! Break Sword attack Decoy Dragon!" Break Sword charge at Decoy Dragon, ready to destroy it.
"Decoy Dragon's effect activates! If Decoy Dragon was targeted for attack, I can Special Summon one Level 7 or higher Dragon type Monster on my Graveyard! And then the attack target change to that Monster and you must attack that Monster! Behold! The true engine of destruction! Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" I said as Blue-Eyes appeared on the field and roared loudly.

"What ?" Yuto said in little surprise before his Break Sword is destroyed because it's ATK lower than Blue-Eyes.

"Break Sword effect! When Break Sword leave the field, I can Special Summon all materials used to Xyz Summon it from my graveyard as level 4 monster in defense position!" Then Ancient Cloak and Silent Boots appeared on the field once again.

"With that I end my turn." Yuto concluded.

"My turn! Draw!" I said as I draw my cards.
"I Summon Dragon Knight of Creation!" Dragon Knight of Creation appeared on the field.
Dragon Knight of Creation ( ATK 1800/DEF 600/Warrior/Light/LV 4 )
"Battle! Dragon Knight of Destruction attack Ancient Cloak!" Dragon Knight swung it's sword at Ancient Cloak, destroying it.
"When "Phantom Knights" Monster I control is destroyed by battle or card effect, I can Special Summon Phantom Knights of Fragile Armor from my hand!" A headless black armor with black cape appeared on the field.
Phantom Knights of Fragile Armor ( ATK 1000/DEF 2000/Warrior/Dark/LV 4 )
"And when Dragon Knight of Creation destroyed a Monster by battle, I can send one Level 7 or 8 Dragon type Monster from my Deck to the Graveyard. I send my Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand!" I send my Ace Monster to Graveyard.
"And then Blue-Eyes attack Silent Boots!" Now Blue-Eyes shot it's famous white lightning at Silent Boots, completely destroying it.
"Trap card open! Phantom Knights of Shade Brigadine! I can Special Summon this card in defense position as Level 4 Normal Monster!" A ancient mask appeared on the field.

'So he gonna Summon Dark Rebellion on his next turn..' I thought. "I set one card facedown and end my turn." I concluded.
"My turn! Draw!" Yuto said as he draw his cards.
"I Overlay my Level 4 Fragile Armor and Shade Brigadine! Formed a pitch black darkness, to fight those foolish enough to opposite it's treacherous fangs! Now Descent! Xyz Summon! Appear, Rank 4! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!"

A black and purple dragon with claws on it's chin, hands and wings appeared on Yuto's field as it roared.
"I activated Dark Rebellion's effect! By detaching one overlay unit, it can halve one level 5 or higher monster on opponents field until End Phase and Dark Rebellion gains the lost amount. Treason Discharge!" Dark Rebellion opened it's wings and released a purple lightning at Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

"Then I'm using Dark Rebellion's once again to your Dragonic Knight! Treason Discharge!" Dark Rebellion released it's lightning again at Dragonic Knight.

"Then I activate a Equip Spell Phantom Knights of Hunter Strike on my hand! I equip it to my Dark Rebellion! With this, Dark Rebellion can't be targeted by card effects and also it can attack three times!" Dark Rebellion's claw shone in purple light.
"Battle! Dark Rebellion attack Dragon Knight of Creation! Revolt of Lightning Disobey!" Dark Rebellion roared before flew straight towards Dragonic Knight.
"Continuous card open! Castle of Dragon Souls! By banishing First of the Dragons from my Graveyard, Dragon Knight of Creation gains 700 ATK until the end of this turn!" Dragon Knight of Creation surrounded by blue aura.

"Ugh!" I grunted in pain as Dragonic Knignt destroyed.

"Dark Rebellion attack Dragonic Knight! Revolt of Lightning Disobey!" Dark Rebellion charge at Dragonic Knight.
"Trap card open! Counter Gate! Your attack is negate and then I draw a card." I said as a barrier protect Dragonic Knight from Dark Rebellion's attack and then I draw a card. "However, if the card I drew is a Monster, I can Summon it immediately." I said as I look at the card I drew, it was a Spell Card but that's the Spell Card I needed.
"Now Dark Rebellion attack Blue-Eyes! Revolt of Lightning Disobey!" Dark Rebellion charged at Blue-Eyes.
"Quick-Play Magic open! Command Silencer! When you declares an attack, I can negate the attack!"
The totem appeared and make a loud sound which make Yuto covered his ears.
"And then I can draw a card." I said as I draw a card.
"I end my turn." Yuto concluded.

"I activate a Spell Return of the Dragon Lords! I can Special Summon one Level 7 or 8 Dragon type Monster from my Graveyard! The mighty dragon who rules all the dragons! Spread your wings and illuminate this world with your holy light! Manifest before us! Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand!"
Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand ( ATK 2800/DEF 2800/Dragon/Light/LV 8 )
Yuto was amazed to see Felgrand. But then just like with Odd-Eyes, Felgrand and Dark Rebellion roared at each other.
"Are you get an answer, Felgrand ?" I asked Felgrand Dragon.
'Odd-Eyes and Dark Rebellion have a same answer. But help for what ? It still a mistery for me.'
'It's like my dragon roared to Pawn of Fusion's dragon. Still mistery to me.' Yuto thought to himself.

I banish your Level 4 Phantom Knights of Fragile Armor on your Graveyard! Shining banishment!" Felrand roar as it's body started to glow before Fragile Armor vanished from the Graveyard.

"It's not over Kalin! Even you attack with Felgrand, I still have an LP!" Yuto said in confident tone. But, to his surprise, I smirk.
"You sure ?" I asked.
"What do you mean ?" Yuto said in confusion.
"You forgot I still have Castle of Dragon Souls! By banishing Flamvell Guard, Blue-Eyes gains 700 ATK!"

"What ?! No.." Yuto said in disbelief as he realize that I has enough Monsters to defeated him.
"Blue-Eyes continued your attack!" Blue-Eyes shot it's white lightning at Dark Rebellion, who blocked it using Phantom Knights Wing and the wing is vanished.

"Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand attack Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon! Shining Burst!" Felgrand back off it's head before shot it's golden beam at Dark Rebellion, completely destroyed it.

"It's over now! Dragonic Knight attack Yuto Directly!" Dragonic Knight swung it's sword at Yuto. Yuto was sent flying to the entrance of the warehouse due the impact of the attack.
"Ahhhhh!" Yuto yelled in pain as his body hit the ground.

The Duel is over as the hologram is vanished.
"I lost.." Yuto muttered as he looking to the ground as I deactived my Duel Disk and then approached him.
Yuto thought what I was going to do to him. Card him ? Kidnapped him ? He didn't know. He surprise when I stretched my hand to help him.
He hesitated but he accepted it and slowly getting up with my help.
"You're a great Duelist. Despite you using Fusion, I can tell you're not from Academia." Yuto told me.
"Thank you. I always believe that the Dueling is for fun and not for hurt others." I said.
At my words, Yuto remember what the Dueling must be before the war change his philosophy. But he had one more question.
"But if you're not from Academia, then where are you from ? Can you tell me ?" He asked me.
"I will tell you after you tell me everything." I demanded.
Yuto sighed. He lost the Duel, so he will tell me everything. About dimension, Academia and Dimensional War even I already know. But, suddenly a bright pink light glowed in brightness appeared out nowhere making us covered our eyes. As the light faded away, Yuto was already gone.
"He's dissapeared ? That means.." I wondered before I heard a familiar voice.
"Kalin!" Yuya and Yuzu finally arrived from the door. Yuya was recovering his stamina from his running.
"Are you alright ?" Yuya asked in worried tone.
"I'm good." I answered.
"Where is he ? Is he still here ?" Yuzu asked as her eyes checked around the warehouse.
"No. I dueled him and I win. But he suddenly dissapeared." I answered before I explained everything.
"You beat him ?!" Yuzu asked in surprise.
"Yeah. He's strong, but I managed to beat him." I answered.
"What's all the smoke here ?" Yuya asked as he pinched his nose. "Let's go back to You Show, everyone is worried about you and Yuzu. Anyway, why are you here Kalin ?"
"Yuzu didn't tell you ?" I asked Yuya as they turned to Yuzu.
"I'm sorry. I was in hurry and didn't have time to explain." Yuzu apologized.
"It's fine. I explained in You Show later. Now let's go." I said as they leaving back to You Show.
