A quick update
Hello everyone, I just want to make a quick announcement concerning chapters 39 and the upcoming chapter 40. I've been thinking about the ending to the latest chapter since I published it, and how it would affect the rest of the story. I had this plot basically worked out in my head, but now that I'm actually coming towards it, I find myself trying to justify Ben's actions in his own eyes and the eyes of those dear to him, especially characters such as Ellie and Emily, to justify some of the actions of certain characters and so on and so off.
Now, some of you have addressed it, both in PMs and the reviews and I'm very grateful for that, since it has brought me to the attention of the flawed plotline. I don't consider myself the type of writer that is going to change the story according to reader's liking, I write what I want to write and what I consider good enough. And though this (heart eating) seemed as a good idea at the beginning, I'm starting to see its flaws in terms of storytelling. As such, I've decided to scrap the ending and rewrite it, according to what I consider better for the overall story and character development.
I apologize if some of you thought this was a chapter update, but I felt the need to address this issue and fix it asap. You can expect the rewritten update to be published alongside chapter 40, which I believe will be here somewhere in the next week. Once again, I want to thank everyone for the patience that you've shown with me, especially in times when I couldn't update regularly because of, well, life… and to thank you for the continuous support you've shown me since I started writing this piece of work last year. Some of you guys have been here since the start, and I have to admit that almost nothing brings me as much happiness as when I tell a story that other people like. I won't go too much into gratitudes and such, I'll save it for the final chapter once I publish it someday. :)
