AN: This chapter Galahad will actually be in the HP universe. Hope you all enjoy it.
Welcome to your new home.
I look around to see a nicely decorated minimalistic style grey bedroom with a double bed and an ensuite bathroom. Nothing too fancy but not the kind of place I'm embarrassed to own. The living room is quite spacious with a view out over Hyde Park and a sofa that makes sitting down feel like sinking into heaven. But the house isn't what I really care about. I need to figure out what the date is and whether I've just been dumped here or if people at Hogwarts will remember me. I quickly search my house for the keys and any kind of wand I may have already purchased, finding the former but the latter being completely missing from the house. I guess I don't have a wand yet, then.
Before I leave I decide to check my stats. I don't remember being told about any abilities I might have been given by the game.

Abilities:
Observe (Max)
This ability lets you view the stats of anybody you look at.
ID Create/Destroy (Max)
The ability to enter and exit training dungeons.
Gamer's Body (Max)
Your body has an infinite potential for growth as well as the ability to remain alive while ignoring debilitating wounds until you reach zero HP.
Stealth (1)
Your ability to avoid detection.
Sleight of Hand (1)
Your ability to move objects around without bystanders realizing or seeing where the objects went.
Okay so I do have skills as well as Gamer's Body so I should be able to get away with some simple pickpocketing. Do I have an inventory?
I take my house keys into my hand and picture them still being in my grip but not physically being there. Suddenly I feel my hand snap shut as the keys disappear into what must be my inventory. I try to take the keys out and they fall on the floor in front of my hand. Right, I should probably have my hand in a position where I can catch the object coming out of my inventory. I pick the keys up and repeat the process. I now have the keys in my hand straight out of my inventory.
Now that I'm done playing around with my inventory, I begin the trek outside my flat. Finding that yes, I do in fact actually own the property and it's not some wizard magic hiding a house between two buildings like grimmauld place.
I walk down the street until I find a pile of newspapers outside of the news agent's. I begin to look through the pile before activating sleight of hand and pulling a newspaper into my inventory. Not that I need it of course. I only wanted to check the date and as it happens, it's July the 1st, 2017. This means that I have just over eight weeks to level up before I have to go off to Hogwarts.
Sleight of Hand level up (2)
Well if it's that easy to level up then I'd better get to stealing some money from rich people who definitely don't need it. While I'm at it I should probably invest that spare point into Dexterity to make my daylight robbery a little easier.
I wander through the park for a bit before coming across a pile of clothes by the side of the lake. I activate my stealth skill to make it harder for anybody to spot me and quickly start rummaging through the pockets of the clothes. Inside I find about £25 in cash as well as a card that I decide to leave behind in case it can be tracked. I also grab the penknife that was in the back pocket of the trousers and head onwards.

As I'm admiring my new skill levels a man comes running out of the water towards me, screaming as he runs. "Hey, thief! Give me back my stuff!" I bolt, activating stealth while I'm on the move to try to make it as easy as possible for me to escape. Thankfully leveling up twice must have increased my dexterity, since I can slightly outpace him in my mad dash towards the edge of the park.
Realizing that I haven't used this skill at all, I quickly glance around and use Observe on the man.

Okay this is fine. I can escape this. I continue to sprint towards the edge of the park until suddenly he gives up the chase and returns to gather his clothes. Now that I'm out of danger I allocate my two stat points into Dexterity and return home.
Once I'm back home I take a quick sit down and about a minute later my stamina has fully recovered. Once this has happened I activate my dungeon skill and enter a new dimension.
Quest started: First Blood
Objective: Kill your first enemy
Bonus objective: Don't take any damage

Bonus rewards: 20 Exp Gacha token
I'm still in my flat but it's completely run down and is falling apart. This must be a zombie dungeon I think to myself as I leave the building, penknife in hand. It isn't long before I find some zombies. I smell them before I see them, the stench of their flesh rotting away from their bones is rough to make a grown man cry, but i continue to get closer and closer while hiding with my stealth ability, until suddenly i'm a coiled spring flying into the zombie, who has no time to react or try to stop my penknife from making contact with his head.
As I stab the zombie in the head I realise my mistake. I have no idea what it takes to kill these things. The now injured zombie reaches out to grab me and succeeds. I desperately struggle to get free but the zombie is just too strong. I give up on trying to brute force my way out and simply begin stabbing the zombie in the neck over and over again, while the zombie holds me in a bear hug and rips chunks out of my flesh with it's disgusting rotten teeth. This just makes me more determined to kill it. I continue stabbing at its neck until I feel its grip start to weaken. With a twist and a hard shoulder into the zombie's chest I'm free. The zombie stumbles backwards as I take the opportunity and impale my knife in its forehead once more and ride it down to the ground, causing it's disfigured head to collapse in on itself.

I quickly leave the dungeon and flop down onto my bed. That was a close one. While I'm recovering, I check my new stats.

I start by allocating two points to strength. I really don't want to be stuck in a situation where I can't break out of a grapple like that again. My final point I decide to put into Constitution. Having a lot of Hp could be really useful and I'd assume con also covers things like disease and poison resistances so that's always going to be worth investing points into. Now time to open up the gacha token I got.
Shadow Hand of Code (1)
Skill that summons multiple reaching hands created from shadows. Hands have great physical strength.
That's a pretty useful skill. Maybe it'll make fighting those zombies a lot easier. Oh I'm so stupid. I was using this little penknife when I could have been using a chef's knife this entire time. That would have made that fight easy. With that and my new shadow hand ability going back there would be a breeze. I guess I'll just wait until my health is regenerated and go back for another go.
After about an hour of waiting my health is finally back to full. Time to slaughter some zombies.
Quest started: Back for more
Objective: kill another 50 zombies
Bonus Objective: Don't get hurt
Rewards: 500 Exp, ?
Bonus rewards: 500 Exp, Gacha token, ?
Unknown rewards. Interesting. I'll have to make sure I clear all of these zombies out now without getting hurt.
I activate stealth and approach the nearest zombie, 15 inch chef's knife in hand. Before I arrive behind it I use my shadow hand ability to hold the zombie in place while I swing at the back of its neck, chopping it half way off and spraying rancid blood everywhere. It tries to break free but finds itself unable to escape my shadow hand as my knife comes down for a second swing. With the zombie now decapitated I move onto my next foe, careful to remain in stealth.
Shadow Hand of Code level up (2)
I anchor the next zombie with my shadow hand before stabbing straight through the zombie's spine, causing it to twitch before falling to the ground dead. I continue this pattern, killing methodically but indiscriminately until there appear to be no zombies left.

I search the abandoned city for hours, having only killed 10 zombies in total so far with no more zombies in sight. Abruptly, a huge zombie a good foot taller than me comes crashing through the wall of a nearby building, headed straight towards me. I dive to the side, narrowly dodging his attempt at a tackle. I quickly regained my footing, noting the trees to my left. I wait for him to charge, matador style, before dodging out of the way into a previously unseen tree behind me. I'm on his back in a heartbeat with my shadow hand forcing his grotesque figure up against the tree while I repeatedly hack at his neck, eventually lopping it off.
Mini Boss killed
Minor health potion gained
Level up (7)
Shadow Hand of Code level up (5)
So he was a mini boss. I wonder what the boss of this dungeon looks like. I do not want to meet him until I've levelled up a lot more. But I do want to try to kill him soon because if I get a health potion for killing this little guy I must get some pretty good rewards for killing the boss.
Now that I've cleared the mini boss I decide to keep roaming the city looking for more enemies to slaughter, while also thinking that I need a new weapon. The chef's knife is great and all, but it lacks damage, and it took half a dozen swings to take off that mini boss's unprotected neck. That won't do when I come up against whoever the boss of this place is. While pondering my weapon options, I finally come across an area that has some zombies in it. I sneak up on them and begin my slaughter. 47. 48. This can't be right. 49. There aren't any left. All that's here is a tower that I didn't notice before, stretching way up into the sky past what any normal building should be capable of. This must be the Boss fight.
Before I decide whether or not to enter the tower yet, I check my notifications to see how much I've leveled up.

Stealth level up (7)
Shadow Hand of Code level up (8)
After allocating three of my free stat points into End and two into Con in the hope that it'll let me keep fighting for a while and take a hit without ending it all as well as another point in strength to help the dulling blade of my knife penetrate anything I attack with it I feel ready to take on the boss.

I slowly push the tower's behemoth doors wide open, struggling to move them at first but then getting some momentum I manage to throw the doors open, only to come face to face with it. It's legs were rotting and seeping pus out of open wounds, yet clearly powerful muscles bugged under the surface. It's arms the size of my torso, dripping with blood, it's teeth grinding together in anticipation for it's perceived next meal.
I quickly attempt to restrain it with my shadow hand, but it's no good. This zombie is way too fast. It dashes towards me with unnatural speed. I was expecting a strength type boss. If I'd picked Fighter I'd already be dead in here. Only my 21 Dexterity was keeping me alive. I managed to duck under the swipe it threw at me,then I tried to counterattack with my knife to no avail. Completely useless. The knife couldn't cut the skin. Now in a precarious situation I leapt back out of the way of the next swipe and caught my breath for a second. But it's a second I don't have right now as he swings his grotesque hand at me once more. I block it with my knife and use the element of surprise to catch him with my shadow hand. He can still move though.
Dragging the shadow hand across the ground, he came at me was noticeably slower this time though. I manage to lean back and avoid the swing before darting around the side of the big ugly bastard and kick his knee in. I feel a crunch as my food connects with his knee, bone splinters sticking through his leg. With my target now lowered down a bit I can finally attack his head which I do with a ferocity I didn't know I had in me. Using my knife I find a patch of missing flesh on the neck of the zombie and stab as hard as I can, watching splinters of bone fly out across the room as he grunts in pain. As he begins to collapse I don't let my guard down for one second. Pushing him the rest of the way to the floor before kicking his head in from above.
For the brutality of your kill your sponsor has awarded you a gift.
Bone-Shatterer (epic)
This mace was designed not to kill it's enemies but to cause them immense suffering by shattering the bones in their body sending splinters into the surrounding tissue.
Level up (13)
New ability unlocked:
Critical Strike (1)
You can spot weak spots on the body of your enemy and have the precision to target them with pinpoint accuracy.
Shadow Hand of Code level up (10)
You can now manipulate the hands individually rather than simply restraining a target.
Quest complete:
Rewards: 1000 Exp, 1 gacha token, zombie dagger (upgraded to Fleshrender) (epic)
Level up (14)
I take a second to sit down before returning to my apartment, feeling ready to take on the world, but knowing that I'd need to continue to level up if I was truly going to. The new mace sounded cool, if a bit barbaric, but the new dagger I got, Fleshrender. Now that's my style. Like it's name suggests it's clearly designed to cut through the flesh of its foes like they're thin air, ignoring any kind of light armour.
I return to my apartment and ponder my next move. I think it's time to learn about magic.
AN: The boss fight took a few tries to get it somewhere I like it, but I felt that Galahad needed to power up a bit before being introduced to magical Britain. Hope you all enjoyed it and I hope you all have a great day.
