Anyway, See y'all at the end.

The moments after Aizawa's closing words regarding Bakugo's pitch were silent, the world seemingly defended by the blast but the silence was only momentary, as when the dust settled the class exploded in whispers and cheers, chatting about how cool the event before them was.

Vali narrowed his eyes at his teacher.

For a guy who preaches rationality, he's annoyingly silent regarding the kid's noise level. If he'd committed a blast like that in any urban area He'd have shattered the windows of dozens of buildings and cars and popped the eardrums of hundreds.

He sighed, moving his head from their teacher to the closest student next to him, a purple-haired girl who'd introduced herself to him as Kyoka Jirou. The poor girl was covering her ears, a pain-filled look on her face as her head no doubt rattled from the explosion

Rational his ass, the fucker's just trying to justify his own actions.

"Are you alright?" He whispered, placing a hand on the girl's ears and cursing the fact Wendy or Sherria weren't him, he also cursed himself for his lack of knowledge in sign language

'Note to self: get myself and the class to learn hand signs to communicate' He etched the thought into his skull, a silent promise to ask Sorahiko of the Government had any official Hero Sign Language book and, if not, find a book to learn Japanese Sign Language

The Girl looked uncomfortable but nodded her head anyways and Vali briefly debated if it'd be worth it to make a pair of earmuffs from water for her but decided against it. Best not make assumptions just yet.

"It looks… fun, you say?" He turned back to the teacher, raising an unimpressed eyebrow at the man "So you're planning on spending your next three years here playing around and having a good ol' time? What happened to becoming Heroes?"

The crowd silenced down but Vali just stared into the man's eyes. They were glowing red, and while his classmates were definitely uncomfortable under their glare, Vali had stared a Pissed off, God of Carnage, in the eyes and not backed down.

A pathetic, tired man with glowing red eyes is nothing compared to the hell he'd witnessed in Sagemaths gaze.

"All right then." The man agreed, his voice anything but happy "I,n that case, new rule: The student who ranks last in total points will be judged 'hopeless'. And will be expelled."

The group gasped and faded into silence.

Vali rolled his eyes.

He didn't have to worry, He'd pass this as easily as he passed the entrance exam, however, this guy was starting, to genuinely piss him off. Honestly, he can't decide who's annoying him more right now, Aizawa or Iida.

"Our 'Freedom' means we can dispense students as we please." The man pulled his hair back, releasing those glowing red eyes even clearer to his students "Welcome to the Department of Heroics, kiddos."

Vali sighed as Uraraka started talking about how unfair it was but stopped paying attention nonetheless. Instead, he recalled the different 'exams' their teacher was putting them through.

50 Meter Dash, Softball Toss, Seated Toe-touch, Standing Long Jump, Endurance Running, Grip Strength Test, Sustained Side Jumping and Upper Body Exercises.

All of these… He'd done all of these as warm-ups in Earthland.

For a bunch of school kids with minimal tough exercise to do all of these consecutively while using their quirks - something they've never done before - is probably gonna be taxing, but Vali had experience doing all of these-

He'd done all of these things basically every day for the better part of 13 years as a warm-up, this… this was nothing.

He sighed, ignoring how annoying this opening ceremony was turning out to be and focusing back on the lecture

-/-

The 50 Meter Dash was the first test on their plate and Vali watched his different classmates with intrigue. It was the first time He'd seen their quirks in use after all and he was mentally collecting as much data on his fellow students as possible, making notes on how people use their quirks, questions on how they use it and what they can do with their quirks and a plethora of other things in relation to the Superpowers they can use.

It was… fun, almost.

It reminded him of his days when He'd first rejoined Fairy Tail after his decade quest was over, of when he had to pull his falling guild from their rut and build them back up again as the only S-Class available.

It was fun, listing out people's abilities and trying to figure out how best to improve on them or make them more efficient

Take Iida for example, as annoying as the kid is, his quirk is super interesting and Vali had a load of questions about it.

How does it work? What's his fuel source? Does eating or drinking different chemicals influence his speed or longevity? Does he have to refuel himself with food to keep going or does his Quirk run indefinitely? Can his engines overheat? Does he produce Engine smoke? Can he produce Engine Smoke at will? Can he change how fast he runs like a car can?

Dozens of thoughts crowded his mind with every student he saw move, watching with interest to how people use their quirks to move through the dash before eventually-

"Mizushima, Yaoyorozu, you're up." Their teacher called up as Midoriya and Mineta finished their sprint

Out of everyone in the class, Vali was looking forward to seeing Yaoyorozu's quirk. She'd been muttering to herself about fat lipids while waiting so he was excited to see both her quirk and her strategy.

"Ready?" The two nodded their heads and the robot beside them started counting.

"3…" He pushed his magic to his feet, a grin lighting up his face at the familiar spell.

"2…" He sighed, calming himself down and steadying his pulse as he felt his magic start forming below his shoe.

"1…" He forced the typhoon to stay still, the pressure building against his muscles, raging to be released- to destroy everything below and to propel him forwards.

"GO!"

He exploded forward, blitzing the course in milliseconds even as the ground below his feet exploded.

"2.11 seconds" He tsked, it's… acceptable. 50 meters in that few seconds after a year outta practice? It was good enough.

"5.01 seconds" He turned to Yaoyorozu, ignoring the wide-eyed looks from the rest of his classmates - as well as the glare he got from Bakugou, who'd finally worked out who first place was.

"A scooter huh?" He muttered, eyebrow raised. He was curious if that was her quirk, if she could summon things or if she could just make a scooter. Probably not, but he had nothing else to go off of.

Apparently, the Yaoyorozu girl heard him and deemed him with a smile and explanation.

"My Quirk is called Creation, it lets me create anything I know the chemical formula of the fat lipids in my body. That said, your quirk's amazing Valentine, can you explain it to me?" The kind smile sent an arrow through his heart, this girl reminded him soo much of Wendy it hurt. Oh his poor little sister he hopes she's doing okay right now

(She is not doing okay right now, oh why had she trusted Sherria to pick the quest she's as much a sadist as their shared older sibling! Who thought it was a good idea to fight giant spiders in the dead of night other than those two crazy people. Poor Wendy, she's scared out of her mind.)

Yeah, he's sure she's fine.

At least she still has Sherria and Mira to look after her in his absence, those two are better role models than team Natsu at least. He shivers to think what chaos Natsu would've dragged her into if he'd left her in the Dragon Slayers clutches

Bringing his mind back to reality he offered the girl a smile back

"My Quirk is called Thalassia, it allows me to create and manipulate pitch-black water in any way I desire." He casually omitted the other factors of his Magic, and as much as it pained him when the girl offered him that bright, pure smile of hers he didn't regret omitting it.

It would be his trump card at some point, better to keep it a surprise than let everyone know about it.

"I see, I take it you used a form of jet propulsion to move so quickly then?" He smiled back teasingly

"My, Yaoyorozu, trying to figure out all of my secrets are you now?" He chuckled at the small blush "But yes, I created two small spinning blasts of water beneath my feet and kept them contained and pressurised it into the sole of my shoes until the 'Go' was signalled and then let it blast me forwards"

The Girl nodded, understanding what he had done to move as fast as he had.

"If you two are done, we can move on." Their teacher interjected, moving the group to the next event. Grip Strength.

The man pulled a box out from the gym building they'd gathered around

"These are Grip Machines, you have to hold them in your dominant hand and squeeze the trigger as hard as possible. It'll then read out how many KGW you managed to grip." The man motioned to the box "Come and get one then."

Vali hummed as he held the machine, he would've preferred to test it out first but they were just taking the first score they got and not their highest. He hummed once again, eh he didn't need his God Slayer Magic for this but...

A grin crossed his face as he wrapped his fist around the machine, with a quick and quiet glance he made sure nobody was watching and slowed his heart, it took mere seconds to attain perfect stillness and-

A small flash flushed over him and if anybody could see the brief moments of the flash, they'd see a golden crown appear above Vali's head, glowing gold tattoos flood up his body and his eyes glowing a luminous gold.

However nobody could, and while they did see a quick brief flash, everyone's attention was more focused on the now destroyed machine on the floor.

Did he have to use Awakening to do the test? No, not at all. He could've crushed the machine normally buuuut he was finally able to use his magic again and for god's sake be was gonna use his damn heritage dammit! He deserves to! Especially after not using it for so long.

"Mizushima" He rolled his eyes at his teacher called him, looking dryly at the crushed machine next to his foot

"Teach." He greeted back, fighting to keep the smirk off his face

"...We'll put this down as Incalculable." Their teacher sighed, adding it to the chart.

Heh.

Nice

-/-

The events after the first two were pretty boring, the seated toe touch was as simple as it sounded. Being flexible was something Vali considered important to any half-decent Wizard and had been making sure his body was as flexible as it could possibly be for decades. Not only had it Increased the number of attacks he could do but it also just made him feel better in general.

So yeah, the seated toe touch was simple and easy.

The Upper Body Excorsie was similarly easy and was just a test to see how many pull-ups you could do.

Now for Vali, he could've easily just created a platform and lifted himself up and down that way indefinitely as Todoroki had. Vali, obviously, didn't. He decided to just do normal pull-ups.

They weren't his favourite exorcise, but they were fun.

Plus he can do a lot of pull-ups.

He, Todoroki, Bakugou, Shoji and Kirishika ended up drawing for first place because they'd gone for so long and they didn't have the time to see how long they could go.

The sideway jumping was annoying and was the only exam so far he had 'trouble' with. His Magic didn't have a great application to help his sideway jumping so he just did it normally like the other two exams. He didn't get first but he did get second.

It's the first second he's gotten all day.

The standing long jump was easy as well, he jumped, he created wings of water, he flew until He'd surpassed everyone else and then some more for good measure, he landed.

Simples.

This finally dragged him to the second last event of the day, the Softball Toss.

And by God was it interesting to see. For most of the class, their tosses were normal due to their quirks but it was fun watching them debate different strategies to themselves, it was also fun comparing the strategy they took to the one he had formulated himself

Like why had Iida thrown the ball and not kicked it at high speed? Did he just not have that great leg-eye coordination to pull that off? Could he not calculate the speed he needed to hit the ball at the time at the right speed? Or was that simply just not an option because it took his leg a moment to warm up before being used

Why didn't everybody kick the ball? Surely they can all kick harder than they can throw?

Eh, doesn't matter. It was still interesting nonetheless, especially Uraraka and Yaoyorozu.

Ururaka's quirk, from what he could tell, was the ability to put objects in a form of pseudo-Zero Gravity or something along those lines anyways, he had a lot of questions and suggestions on how she could make her quirk better but he held off for the time being. No, what was interesting was how she stole first place for this exam by putting the ball in orbit.

He'd heard the girl mention she had a weight limit but apparently not a time limit, which was interesting. It meant that, so long as she was fine being momentarily sick, she could put an object way above her weight class in Zero Gravity, wait a while for it to get high enough and then release it

Unless it out physical strain km her body to keep an object on Zero Gravity because of that was so that'd render that option useless. If not though… well the possibilities are endless.

And if he doesn't see even one propulsion device on her hero costume he's gonna complain about it because seriously that is the first thing she should've thought of.

Hmm, maybe he should ask what her quirk is, it'd be interesting to work on it with her.

She's the first person with a form of gravity manipulation who hasn't been a dark wizard, after all, so He's excited to experiment.

Ahh he can just think of it now- oh, he needs a notebook to write this all down, he won't forget it but it's better than having scrambled thoughts

"You alright there Pop Star?" He raised an eyebrow at the Nickname but answered anyway.

"Yeah, just thinking." He hummed, watching as Izuku Midoriya walked up the circle "He hasn't used his Quirk once during the entire exam period, I'm interested in seeing what it is."

"Been keeping an eye on all our quirks have you?" He smirked at the punk girl

"Obviously. Studying and pulling apart quirks is a sort of passion of mine, it's a shame I was only born with one quirk, I'd love to be able to experiment with whatever quirk I could."

The Girl chuckled

"Well, If you have any ideas on my Quirk I'll happily accept them." He gave him a sidelong look, taking in her appearance and casting it into his memory.

"I'll be sure to ask you all my questions when I get the chance, your quirk's one of the more interesting ones in the class after all." That made the girl raise her eyebrow, a finger coming up to start messing around the earphone jack dangling from her ear.

Definitely one of the more interesting quirks in the class.

He wants to know everything he can about it and see how he can improve it. How fun. He now has a whole class of lab rats to play with and experiment on.

Heh, Romeo finally got his wish! He has new test subjects to torture- train. Definitely not torture.

(Somewhere across the vast multiverse a teenage boy with dark purple hair, a woman with dark green hair and a man with plain brown hair got together and cried tears of joy. They didn't know the full reasoning, but it felt like their crazed torturer finally found new victims and would finally leave them alone to rest in Peace.)

Heh, those were the good old days.

'...I hope those lot have kept their training up to check, otherwise, there'll be hell to pay'

(The three souls who finally finished crying felt a chill go down their spine, and after a moment shared a look and started going through their now self-inflicted torture once more. They had a feeling if they didn't continue their training the pain they'd face when their torturer came back would be much, much worse than before.)

Eh, he's sure they're keeping their word. Why wouldn't they! He spent so much time and effort putting together their training schedules specifically designed for them.

If they aren't, well they better hope they are.

So caught up in his own thoughts as he was, he hadn't even noticed Midoriya had taken his throw until a shock wave of wind burst from where the ball had been launched. The throw was quite similar to Bakugou's throw earlier in that regard, though he'd been expecting the blondes blow the moment Aizawa mentioned the kid's placement second to his own.

He hadn't expected this from Midoriya however, the kid echoed hidden his power the entire time had finally shown his might and boy was it mighty, however…

The boy clutched his finger as he turned to their grinning teacher.

It seems his body physically can't handle the strength he's generating. Vali raised an eyebrow and squinted, cursing himself for not paying attention to the throw so he could pick it apart and analyse it when he got home. He sighed, a missed opportunity but he'd be able to see it tomorrow if his idea about All Might's lesson proved accurate.

Slowly Midoriya left the circle, being told something by Aizawa before the penultimate student went forwards, Mineta Minoru's own throw proved lacking in regards to the explosion which had just happened. Finally-

"Mizushima, you're up." He caught the ball thrown at him, tossing it up and down in his hand as he walked to the circle. Once there he took a moment to debate his options.

The obvious thing to do would be to shoot the ball with his typhoon like he did to blast himself forwards earlier but that wouldn't take it far enough for second place, Yaoyorozu had taken second place and blasted the ball around 1.5 miles away after shooting it out of a Canon.

He couldn't get first place- wait, no, scratch that. He could get first place but that would mean making a platform and moving himself up 50km and then lightly tossing the ball into space and he couldn't be bothered to do that.

So he was simply shouting for second place. Which meant getting the ball 1.5 miles away, easy right?

Yeah, there's no way he's settling for bronze.

So he had to think up something and an answer came to him quickly. He smirked before gently throwing the ball underarm and forwards. The ball moved through the air as if in slow motion, slowly moving to the ground making everyone think their star student wasn't shining when-

*Boom*

A massive pillar of water appeared from under the ball, launching it high into the sky, now that's all well and good, the balls went high. Except that isn't the objective of this test so what's the point of that? Well a lot of students were thinking that and their answer came when Vali drew his arms back, a bow of pitch-black water manifesting in his hands, a singular, swirling black arrow forming and when the ball came shooting back down to the earth Vali started tracking it, waiting for the perfect angle until-

*Twhip-*

He let the bow loose, the watery arrow not quite piercing but capturing the ball and grabbing it into the distance. Now the class lost sight of his ball and arrow as quickly as they lost Bakugous, Midoriyas, Yaoyorozu and Uraraka but everyone saw the sudden whole in the clouds so far above them to know his arrow had penetrated the sky itself.

Now, if Vali's quirk was normal then this kind of move wouldn't have done much. However Vali is a Wizard, an extremely powerful one at that, so when he commanded his magic to keep flying in its arch until it had doubled Yaoyorozu's own score it listened, and it flew. Shooting through the air, curving in an almost impossible way until Aizawa's phone buzzed, revealing a score of 3.1 miles on it

.1 miles extra because his magic likes to show off sometimes and who's he to complain about that.

He smiled at the score, accepting it easily as he moved away from the circle.

After he finished his throw and Aizawa marked down the scores they started the final test which was Endurance Running, a test Vali had blown out of the water even with Yaoyorozu using a bike she'd created.

What? He was a stamina monster even without his Demigod Physiology, his mother's adoption just made his already huge stamina bigger. As it were he could fight an intense hand to hand battle for hours on end before collapsing, doing some running wasn't that bad especially since he controlled the pace he ran at.

Sadly he just proved to have a lot more stamina than Yaoyorozu, which was fair considering how many fat lipids she'd used during the test to keep up with him, honestly, it was pretty respectable that she was even able to keep up with him, even if it were just due to her quirk in a high school exam.

"Alright everyone, it's time for the results." The group gathered around and Vali could feel the tension in the air, honestly, He'd completely forgotten about the whole expulsion thing, too busy commuting everyone else's quirks to memory to remember, not that he was scared, to begin with.

Still, the rest of the class were a mix of nervousness and confidence as Aizawa gathered them, the one looking the most worried, however, was Midoriya. The boy was good, sure, but compared to everyone else he was lacking. The only people to have done nearly as badly were Mineta Minoru and Toru Hagakure, and even then they'd excelled in one or two events which definitely boosted their scores

Finally, the tension came to an end as their homeroom teacher finally revealed the scores

Vali narrowed his eyes despite his placement, he hadn't doubted for a second where he'd score amongst his fellow classmates but he was also waiting to see what Aizawa would do. Vali's no fool, He'd lived a life where being foolish was a trait that left people dead and he knew that Aizawa was serious in regards to expelling a student at the start of the day

However the mood had shifted, He'd picked up on it instantly.

The moment their teacher grinned at the student who appeared last on their list during the Softball tournament the mood surrounding the man had shifted, no longer did he hold the serious, deadly aura he was projecting but a calmer, more observatory one.

He was studying them after that moment and Vali knew whatever test he was actually searching them for had been one they passed. Still, Vali couldn't help but not fully like Aizawa, the man's man's impression was a bad one and if said impression didn't change, then He'd be requesting a meeting with their principal soon enough.

Vali can't stand to learn under a man too scared to do his job properly.

This first day, this test? He'd stand it, for now, it was as simple as letting the man know their capabilities but if the man whose support to support and nurture their hero careers for the next three years can only resort to expulsion to get his point across then he's not worthy of the position of teacher.

The sink or swim tactic works when used in moderation, being told you step out of line once and you're done isn't sink or swim, it's tyranny.

And if the man before him believes for even a moment that Vali will suffer under a pathetic man's fragile ego, well, He'd have another thing coming.

Vali had gained a reputation for taking down tyrants after all.

"I was only kidding about the expulsion thing by the way." The man's words broke Vali's thoughts and he relaxed at them. Good, he didn't have to rip the man in front of them apart just yet.

"Yup, it was all a logical ruse to make you perform to your fullest" The man's smile was smug and while Vali definitely had a problem with the man, he had to admit that his acting was amazing to be able to make everyone think he was lying like that.

Sadly Vali had been betrayed by far better actors to fall for an act like that.

He sighed as Yaoyorozu started explaining how she'd known the entire time and as much as he wanted to burst her bubble he strained himself, He'd let the class believe their teacher for now but He'd call him out if he continues to jeopardize their education because of his own personal issues.

"Oh, Midoriya, go and see recovery girl before heading home to get that finger of yours healed." The boy looked ready to collapse then and there and he couldn't blame the kid, he must've been so worried about the expulsion thing to find out it was 'a ruse' must've taken all his energy.

He sighed, he hopes the rest of his school year doesn't copy this trend of annoyance.

Ugh and he has to go and meet up with his producer at the studio later as well, why did he think being a student and pop artist was a good idea again?

"You alright bro?" He sighed at Kirishima's question, the words dragging some eyes to them as he re-entered the building where the lockers were

"Yeah, today has just been more annoying than I hoped it'd be." He blew air from his nose, dragging the shirt from his torso the moment he crossed the door to the locker room. "I seriously do not like that guy, who is he anyways"

He twisted his head to his fellow boys but paused at their shocked look

'Oh' be thought 'Yeah they didn't see the tattoo or scars earlier did they? Haa, how annoying'

"What?" He rolled his eyes

"Dude you have a tattoo?! That's sick!" Luckily Kaminari was the first to answer and he did so excitedly

"Oh, this thing?" He shrugged his right arm, the tattoo that spanned his right bicep flexing as he did. "It's a family thing, everyone who had the Mizushima name got a tattoo when they turned 15."

Some of the kids who were more open to that stuff gathered around him as they changed.

"Seriously? So it's like a family tradition or something?" He nodded, dumping the people's shirt into his locker.

"Yup, I was the last person to ever have it done though so unless I have kids the tradition will die out." Some of those around him understood the hint and gave him a sad look but most didn't.

"What about all those scars then? How'd you get those?" He chuckled at the sharp looks people sent Kaminari but he couldn't deny that He'd be interested too

The group of boys continued to talk the entire time they changed and continued to do so as they return to the classroom, the girls meeting up with them outside the changing rooms.

It was… nice. Strange, but nice.

Eventually, however, they all left for the day, with a lot of people swapping phone numbers with Vali as they did.

'I forgot how boring school actually is.' Vali couldn't help the sigh that escaped him at the thought. He'd been excited to finally re-start school because it'd keep him occupied and busy during the day, however, reality is often disappointing because Vali was quickly realising how boring school was.

Oh sure, if he was any other student He'd probably be having a worse time right now. He hadn't done any serious study in nearly 30 years so suddenly being forced to study at the top school in the country would be hellish, but Vali's eidetic memory was practically a cheat code for this kinda stuff

He could recall, even now so many years past his first life, the smallest details of the school books He'd read through to pass his GCSE's. Back then studying for exams and school, in general, was hellish, he had a hard time memorising anything and studying sapped his energy dry because he forgot his work so quickly, however now he didn't have that problem

No, he had the opposite, he could remember everything which made all of this stuff so much easier.

Back in his first life, He'd often forget different equations and how to figure different things out, here it took just a thought to remember the equation and only a couple of moments of thinking to figure out the answer.

It made life easy… and boring.

So, instead of focusing during his lesson - English, with Present Mic - he instead cast his thoughts back to the previous night at home with Sorahiko.

He'd kept his self promise and asked the man if the Hero Commission or UN had created a Sign Language for heroes or even a universal sign language and the response was a surprising 'Yes'

The UN hadn't made a Univeral Sign Language, mainly because it would be too hard to implement thanks to the thousands of different languages and alphabets around the world but the Japanese Hero Commission did have something similar to sign language, it just wasn't used as much any more.

It had originally been made two centuries ago but it took too much time to sign instructions to somebody, so while it was safer to use it, the length of time it took to sign made using the sign language impractical since the Villains would be attacking halfway through a word was signed

It was disappointing to learn but he decided it may be for the best anyways, while using the sign language on a mission or while fighting was a no go, being able to communicate with one another without talking would be decent for now.

Unfortunately, the Internet didn't house any public data on the language thanks to it being privately used by heroes and it had been out of style way before Sorahikos time for him to have any books on it, so He'd had to ask the man to see if he could get him a copy of the book to study

It was either that or make up his own sign language and he did not want to do that.

That or try teach these kids Earthlandian - that being the official name of the Universal Language Earthland had employed - or Thalassian and he'd rather not do that again.

"Valentine, can you correct this statement?" He sighed as looked at the board, English was a subject he was basically cheating at since he was, y'know, English

"The Capital letters are in the wrong place, they go at the start of a sentence, not the second word in. You also forgot a period at the end of the sentence." He flopped his head back onto the desk, ignoring the loud teacher's praise.

Yeah, school's boring.

-/-

"I knew you were good at English because of your music Vali, but damn, not that good" He smiled at Kaminaris praise. The two of them had gotten close The last day, as he had with most of his classmates as shown by the group he now sat with at lunch.

Honestly, He'd been kinda worried about the school lunches, He'd never had a Japanese school lunch and didn't know what the cafeteria would be selling, luckily Lunch Rush seemed to have a whole continental spread out for the students since a lot of people came from around the world.

It was nice since it meant he could just grab a ham and cheese panini and be done with it.

Helps that the Panini He'd been giving was the second-best Panini He'd ever eaten.

"Ah, my Dad was English so I'm practically fluent in it." He gave the cover story, smiling at the blonde.

They'd taken a table near one of the many windows in the cafeteria with the table being separated with boys on one side and the girls on the other. Right now he was sitting jammed next to the window with Kirishima next to him and Kaminari next to him, with Jirou opposite him, Ashido opposite Kirishima and Yaoyorozu opposite Kaminari.

"Really? So you're only half-Japanese then Valentine?" It was Yaoyorozu who spoke, curiosity in her pitch-black eyes.

"Kinda." He admitted, putting down the food. "My Dad was Half Japanese, Half English and my Mom was from an island somewhere in the Pacific, so I'm technical only, a quarter English and a quarter Japanese."

He chuckled at their lost looks

"Yeah, it's confusing I know." He smiled "Anyways, are you ready for this afternoon's lesson?"

"Yeah! All Might is teaching us, I can't wait!" He smiled, remembering how shit a teacher All Might really is.

"Yes, It'll be interesting to learn under the Number 1 Hero, I'm sure he'll have a lot of knowledge to impart to us." Ahh Yaoyorozu, how disappointed you'll truly be

All that man knows is to hit things really hard, he barely has more brain cells than Kaminari does.

"I wonder when we'll get to wear our Hero costumes!" Ashido exclaimed, smiling.

He hummed with a smile, tuning out their conversation as he bit into the delicious panini before him, slowly tearing it apart with his teeth until I was nothing but crumbs.

Shame… He might go and buy another one-

"So Vali." He sighed sadly, nevermore. "What is your Quirk anyways? You can create water or something, yeah?"

It was Kaminari's question as he and Jirou were the only ones on the table without a description of his quirk.

"Basically? Yeah. My Quirk allows me to create, control and manipulate water as much as I like, however, you can't ingest it since the water is extremely toxic to humans and animals."

He once again left out the part where he could consume water, something both Ashido and Kaminari picked up on though didn't question. He also left out the more violent uses the latter aspect of his quirk let him employ

"What about you guys, I already know Ashido, Kirishima and Yaoyorozu's quirks but not yours." He questioned the two students, with Kaminari answering first

"Cool, my quirk's called Electrification." He'd guessed that after seeing the boys lightning covered body yesterday "It allows me to generate electricity buuuut overusing it makes me short circuit."

He raised an eyebrow at that but didn't question it, simply looking over to the punk girl opposite him.

"Hm, my quirk's called Earphone Jacks, I can plug them into things and channel my heartbeat into it like a speaker." He hummed again

Interesting.

He looked her over, biting his lip as he took notes in his head. He wonders how she'd use her quirk, he didn't really pay that much attention to it yesterday since he was focusing more on Aizawa but he wanted to know how she used it.

...he hopes she has speaker gloves-

Oh my God, he can recreate his training with Erik! Erik's hearing sound magic was kinda similar to what Jirou can do- oh god he's gonna have so much fun tort-training the girl

(Across the vast multiverse, a certain Poison Dragon Slayer paused in his training, shivering as he remember the downright brutal torture the monster known as Valentine Mizushima put him through, God that monster had made Brain look tame. Seriously, who throws a guy into a soundless room to mess with his sense of hearing before creating loud explosions as a way to train his hearing! Fucking sadistic God Slayer)

Ahh good times, good times.

Shame Erik ran away before he could get started building up his motion sickness resistance.

He shouldn't have mentioned the boat, he gave Erik too much time to get away and forgot that Dragon Slayers tend to flee at the slightest mention of vehicular transport.

"Daaamn." He whistled slightly, closing his eyes as he did.

"Got ideas about my Quirk already huh, Pop Star?" He smirked at the girl, opening his eyes and locking them onto hers.

"I've got questions about everyone's quirk Beats." Not his best Nickname, but he couldn't think of a better one at the moment, so Beats by Dre just had to do

"Well, shoot." He quirked an eyebrow at the prompt, wondering if she was ready for all his questions but decided to say 'fuck it's seeing the teasing smile on her face.

"When you plug your jacks into something, can you control the frequency you project your heartbeat? Can you limit the area you project it? How do you take your quirk into consideration when you fight, because there are so many different ways you can do that, how hard are your jacks? Are they steel? How hard can you thrust them to penetrate an object? How far can you extend them from your body? Can you feel out of them? What's the lowest and highest frequency you can hear? How far away can you hear naturally? Can you plug your jacks into objects to amplify your own hearing? How? Can you project anything other than your heartbeat? Do you think you'd be able to project the sound of the blood rushing in your veins? Your thoughts? If you stabbed them into a human or animal could you hear their heartbeat? What does your anatomy look like? Do you have blood vessels that connect to the jacks that allow the sound to travel-?" He asked one after the other, eyes blurring as he lost focus of everything but the questions on his mind

"Woah, hold up there Pop Star, you lost me after the second question." The girl opposite groaned, her eyes, as well as the rest of the tables, were wide at his question spree

He smirked.

"I have a passion for quirk analysis."

"Yeah, I can tell. Jeez, remind me to not challenge you again." The complaints were lighthearted and Vali smiled at that, He'd been complained at a lot because of his question in Earthland but nobody denied that his theories and questions weren't helpful.

Nor did they deny how helpful his training was, as much as they groaned about it.

"I'd still like to know all the answers to those questions but I'll ask them slower next time." He sent her a teasing smile, snickering at the rolled eyes he received. He scanned his eyes over the rest of his shocked group

"That goes for you guys as well, your quirks are all super interesting and I'd love to question you all about them whenever we're given the chance. Maybe some of our Hero lessons will be free sessions where we can focus on self-improvement and we can go through it then?" He only received two nods of acceptance, one from Yaoyorozu who, while shocked, recovered very quickly and smiled brightly at Vali.

The other came from Jirou, who looked interested in what he could think up for her quirk after his little rant of questions.

The others were still lost in confused awe to answer so he took that as a yes.

"Now, If you'll excuse me, there's a panini over there with my name on it and I can't just let perfectly good food go to waste." He gave a small smile as he stood

"I AM HERE!" Vali groaned at the voice. Did his 'uncle' really need to be so annoying when entering the room? "COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!"

The man he'd come to call uncle burst through the door in an outfit Vali recognised as his Silver Age Costume, a costume made and designed by one David Shield, his 'uncles' friend from the States who'd moved to I-Island some decades ago.

Around him, his classmates burst into chatter as the Number 1 Hero strolled up to the central podium their teachers gave presentations from.

"BASIC HERO TRAINING! THE CLASS THAT'LL PUT YOU ALL THROUGH SPECIAL TRAINING TO MOLD YOU INTO HEROES!" The Number 1 Proclaimed, striking various poses throughout his short speech

"NOW LET'S JUMP RIGHT INTO THIS, TODAY'S ACTIVITY IS THIS: BATTLE TRAINING!" The man whipped out a card that had 'Battle' printed in it in bold from… somewhere on his person.

The room exploded with activity once more, everyone's reactions different at the reveal of today's lesson. Vali himself was pretty excited, it was pretty obvious that they'd be fighting something during their lesson and he was excited to find out what or who He'd be battling.

Hopefully Bakugou, so he can beat that shitty attitude of his out of him.

"THAT'S NOT ALL!." All Might's sudden declaration silenced the room, and from a button he pulled out of nowhere the wall to the left of him slowly slid open, revealing 4 rows of 5 metal briefcases, each layered with a number on it

"TO GO WITH YOUR FIRST BATTLE, THE HERO COSTUMES WE ASKED YOU TO DESIGN BEFORE SCHOOL STARTED HAVE BEEN CREATED AND PREPARED FOR YOU!"

The class erupted again, everyone was rather excited to wear their super special berk costumes.

Vali was happy He'd get to wear a Hoodie again.

"NOW, GRAB YOUR CASES AND GET CHANGED, BOYS AND GIRLS. WE'LL BE MEETING UP AT BATTLE GROUND B FOR TODAY'S TRIAL." The Man announced and as he turned to the door he hesitated. "VALENTINE, A WORD OUTSIDE"

He groaned rolling his eyes as he left his seat, the moment the door closed the room exploded into action with people grabbing their cases and discussing the upcoming trial

"'Uncle'" He smiled at the older man's uncomfortable look, clearly still not used to the title Sorahiko had given him and Vali referred to him as

"Vali." The man greeted back "As you might've guessed you're prohibited from using Ascalon in the class trials unless given explicit-"

"Yeah, yeah, I know I read the letter Principle Nezu sent me after I sent in my Weapon Handling Documents." He smiled at the man, who rubbed his head awkwardly. "Now, If you'll excuse me 'Uncle', I need to get my gear and you need to move before you deflate. You've been pushing your limit a lot lately, so get to safety as quickly as possible and deflate. I don't think you want your secret out just yet."

The man clearly agreed as he sped off, Vali entering the class and grabbing his case before leading the class away.

God, he was becoming a mother goose to these guys, wasn't he?

He hopes they learn their way around soon.

"Is that your costume Vali?" He smiled at the redhead as he rolled the shelves of his Hoodie up his arm. Compared to everyone else in the boy's locker room he was definitely the odd one out and that was no one's fault but his own.

Not that he believed there was anything wrong with his hero costume, he just knew you didn't always have the time to throw on a costume to fight crime, this costume He'd made himself was supposed to replicate that.

...plus he spent so much time fighting in casual clothing that fighting in a specific outfit every day would be strange.

Luckily He had his Fairy Tail logo embroidered onto his Hoodie so people could recognise that as his Hero mark or something.

"Yup, I don't really have a need for support equipment so I decided to just keep my gear as comfy as possible." He received a high five from Kaminari, whose own costume was similar to his own in that way.

...if what He'd said about his Quirk earlier was true then Vali would have to talk to the boy about support gear since he's dangerously lacking any to help his control issue

"Eh, ignore that I wanna know why All Might called you outside before everyone else?" Kaminari butted in after his high five, a curious smirk on the boy's face

He gave the two kids a conspicuous smile, the grin spreading across his face nicely

"That's a secret Kaminari, I'm sure you'll find out eventually." He ignored the burning heat that emanated from Ascalon, only smirking at the teens next to him.

Ascalon is a special kind of blade, one not fully Divine but not completely mortal either.

When He'd received Gungnir, He'd been told the metal was made from a special divine Alloy, named Thounyx, that made the weapon practically unbreakable against mortal blades, however, in his fight against Sagemath, his precious Glaive had been destroyed when the God smaller the blade of his Zweihander through the pole.

He was distraught about the destruction of his weapon at the time, it was one of the first things He'd received from Iva and had been the most reliable things He'd ever had in his life by that point, no matter the situation, no matter what time, what area or whatever, Gungnir had never let him down, had always been there for him and then it just… died

It had been one of the contributing factors to Sagemaths defeat, it had been one of the factors that had pushed him into Sea Desolations alongside several other reveals the God of Carnage had told him.

Of course, he emerged Victorious after that fight and returned to the Gods with Sagemaths head in his hand, a broken bracelet in his pocket and a large, bloody Zweihander over his shoulder.

The Gods felt shitty at the reveal of Gungnir's destruction, knowing how much the weapon meant to him and Wayland, the God of Blacksmithing and Forging, had taken the remnants of Gungnir and the blade of the Zweihander and melted them together.

That was how Ascalon was born

As he mentioned, Gungnir was made of a special divine Alloy, not the Divine Alloy. The weapons of the Gods were made of a separate metal and the magical power even a single ingot of it held was near double the magic power Zeref had in his body after turning into a Pseudo-Time God.

The metal, named Thiorhil, was special because of the properties it held, not only was the metal the most magically powerful in existence but, when forged into a weapon, would gain a form of Semi-Sentience. The weapon didn't have full consciousness but they did react and know some things, the weapons personalities usually coinciding with the user they're intended for.

For example, his mother's Chalice knew exactly what drink to fill itself with, responding to his mother's mood with its own caring personality.

His Uncle's Spear would vibrate with the force of a thousand earthquakes when he was angry and could smite the earth like a falling meteorite if he called upon it when in a fierce mood.

His Aunts bow would strike the earth more powerful than any lightning bolt ever could, if her mood was foil a single arrow could destroy an entire city.

An Ascalon was no different… for the most part.

Ascalon wasn't a pure Thiorhil blade but a mix of a pure Thiorhil blade who'd spent millennia in the hands of a God of Carnage and a pure Thounyx blade that had spent the better part of a decade with a Sea God Slayer.

When the two were melted down, Sagemaths Carnage Zweihander was purified, it still held the memories it had gained as Sagemaths sword but it was as if looking into a past life and scoffing at what they had managed to accomplish while living it, as such when the memories of the sentient Zweihander melded with the silent remnants of Gungnir it assimilated his old blades memories as well and created a third personality, a unique one that held both the memories if a multi-millennia old God and near 2 decades old reincarnate Demigod.

Thus, Ascalon was born. A blade happy and content to spend its days soaked in blood, excited for every battle it was in but calm and ready to defend its host at any moment.

A perfect blend of the offensive Zweihander and defensive Gungnir.

Ascalon, obviously, joined Vali on many occasions, however, the blade earned its name in the most literal sense 5 years after its creation, during the Dragon King Festival of X791, when Vali used the blade to pierce the heart of the Dragon that desolate his home.

It was also the day the two beings became more than they were, with both being tasting the blood of a true dragon in the most literal sense.

He hid a cringe at the memories, so many ripping the dragon's heart from its chest and eating it then and there on the battlefield wasn't the smartest decision He'd ever made but by God He'd never seen so many dragon steps away from a human in absolute fear than he had that day.

He had to fight the urge to grin, the heart of the Ash Dragon was disgusting, the foulest thing He'd ever tasted but by God would he do it again if given the chance.

The Dragon Steak he had after the fight was over was alright, he guesses.

Anyways, his newest Glaive was interesting and special, in this world, they'd never be able to ever recreate what they can from his spear. No matter how smart or amazing the scientist, no matter how advanced the technology they'd never be able to remake another Ascalon

He smiled, feeling the humming burn on his arm, it seemed no matter what Universe they're in, Ascalon will forever be completely unique.

Anyways, the best part about Ascalon or any blade made of Thiorhil wasn't just its sentience but how it uses its sentience! As he said, the blade isn't just sentient but also houses its own Magic Power, which is how the Gods and himself channel their magic through the blades when fighting

The interesting thing about this though, is that the weapons gain a taste for their magic. Think Samehada from Naruto, but instead of eating magic, it starts to replicate it. This is where the best feature of Ascalon comes in.

She can use his Sea God Slayer Magic.

Kinda.

The weapons, while powerful, cannot physically copy divine magic. It's simply not possible for anything unless they have a divine lineage, something only God Slayers have, the only other being that was able to replicate a God Slayers adoption and apotheosis was Zeref!

Anyways, the blades cannot physically utilise divine magic, but they can copy a lesser form of it, as such Ascalon is a proficient wielder of Water Magic, water magic it wields similarly to himself.

The tricky little thing about Ascalon though is its previous life before it took its current form.

His blade had been cleansed in the flames of his cousins forge, however, the remnants of Sagemaths power was still there, which led to something interesting.

Ascalon possessed not one, but two Divine Copied Magics.

Now for War God's, their weapons are typically imbued with Magics that make them exceptionally powerful, as Natsu can attest to when he and Team Natsu watched Ikusa-Tsunagi casually Slash his sword through a mountain range, creating a gorge in the Earth.

This meant, not only was Ascalon able to use water magic in light amounts, it was possibly one of the sharpest, strongest weapons this planet would ever see.

"Vali?" He blinked back to reality. Ah, He'd been trapped in thought, accidentally spending the last 5 minutes looking down at his bracelet.

"Sorry about that, I was just lost in thought." They chuckled at him, something he copied as they finally reached the training ground. The ground itself was mostly full, he could see that all of the girls had already left and the only boys currently missing were Midoriya and Iida

The matter made sense since he was having to our on a full metal plated costume that he insisted to Midoriya was made to reduce wind resistance but Vali highly doubted that.

Speaking of Midoriya, Vaki had no clue how putting on a simple jumpsuit took so much time but who was he to judge, he was just wearing-

"A Hoodie?" He chuckled at Jirous' question. Looking her over he raised an amused eyebrow at her own costume

"Yup." He felt a grin spread across his face as he looked over her boots "Speaker boots huh?"

The girl looked away with a blush

"Yeah, so what?" He laughed at the embarrassed mumble

"It's smart, they must be heavy though. And the devices on your arms, they're probably mini speakers right?" He hummed at the girls nod "I'm surprised you don't have gloves with speakers on the knuckles to complete the look, though you'd have to get the timing between your Quirk and punch as accurate as possible for it to be at its optimal effectiveness."

The Girl twisted back to face him with a raised eyebrow and he shrugged

"What? I told ya I like analysing quirks and stuff, this is no different. I'm gonna have to try and convince Kaminari to get some support gear though, can you believe that he can't even control his output and didn't think to put a single support item down to help with that?" He chuckled, something Jirou joined him with.

"What about you? No support items Vali?" He shrugged once again, Twisting his head to the entrench when footsteps started echoing out if it

"Nah, I don't need them so I'm just wearing this." He admitted with a smile and before their conversation could continue their final classmate arrived and the lesson began.

Well Guys, It seems this is where you get your first peek at Vali the analysis! This is a role that Vali will eventually take up in Fairy Tail but it's being used here for the first time so I can get used to writing scenes and stuff like that, This'll probably be a common theme, I'll test something out in this fanfiction and use it as a training group of sorts for The Slayer of Gods.

So, this marks the beginning of All Might's first lesson and you bet your asses Vali's gonna have a problem with what his 'Uncle' does during the Midoriya/Bakugo fight. Also, I can't wait to write I-Island and just have Vali and Melissa complain to each other about how annoying their Uncle is. Also, that'll be an interesting thing to write since Vali doesn't know about Melissa and Melissa and David don't know about Vali.

Okay, the question of the day. Should this story have a pairing? I'm kinda split because I'm not writing this with a pairing in mind but I also ship Vali and Jirou in this so far, however then I remember that Vali's also nearly 50 years old if you add his first life on earth and his age in Earthland together, though I did make it so he's basically forever stuck at the mental age of a 19-year-old so despite his maturity he doesn't really see himself as any older than 19. Plus he'll eventually have to reveal his past life, probably in some huge fight scene that may or may not happen in this story eventually.

Also, I have a very funny scene in my mind right now for a certain event that'll be revealed next chapter and while I hope it comes across as funny as it appears in my head when I do write it down, I can't help but worry that It won't be.

Anyways peace

Khaos

P.S. I just got my first review on this series as I write this so shout out to you Trueopulence!
