Chapter 10
A Fashion Situation
One of an assassin's key objectives is reconnaissance, to observe regions, locate an enemy and or targets and ascertain strategic features such as areas of interest, point of entry, exits, and emergency escape routes and areas. What made Lincoln and Caroline dangerous was their planning and reconnaissance. Once a target was in their sights they would go out of their way to learn everything about the unlucky soul. From social media to the place they would go, hidden from the world or out in public.
Caroline was on a mission.
A mission of grave importance.
"Her name is Leni Loud, and she has been acting strangely the past couple of months. Whenever I see her, she would have her shades down or wear something that she would never wear out of season. When I try to talk to her she just says she's cold or makes excuses."
"Can you tell me anything else?"
"Sorry, you have to ask my prima Carlota Casagrande or her sister Lori."
"Are they here? Do you have their phone numbers by any chance?"
"I have Carlota's phone number, but you have to ask Lori's husband Bobby who is downstairs at the Mercado."
"Are they living in the same apartment building?"
"Me, Lori, Bobby, and Carlota are, Leni lives someplace else." Caroline nodded and took out her phone. Ronnie Anne gave her the number, and with that, her investigation began. After a quick goodbye, she told Ronnie Anne that she would let her know if she finds anything.
Caroline and Noah exit the apartment and head downstairs.
"Also, do you have Ronnie Anne's number by any chance?" Noah asked.
"Hmm, I forgot. Don't worry, I'll get her number sooner or later. Right now, I want more info on Leni before I call some friends to help me."
Noah nodded as the two exited the building and made their way into the Mercado, a convenience store on the corner owned by Bobby since his grandfather passed away. He was behind the counter waiting for customers to show up.
Roberto had changed in the last ten years, he is now the owner of the Casagrande Market, he's married to the girl of his dreams, Lori Marie Loud Santiago.
The relationship between Bobby and Lori was at best a cheesy romantic movie. They would text each other 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, even during classes. And the calls the two make last for hours. Whenever she visited him, she would often bring her younger brother so his sister Ronnie Anne could spend time with him.
Often time when no one was around, and they were free ( when Bobby was on his lunch break) the two would sneak into the office or the secret spot in the laundry room of the building and have sex. Fortunately for them, nobody would hear their moans or screams of pleasure.
In the past 10 years, things had changed when Lincoln was sent away. Ronnie Anne accepted the excuse that Lincoln had done something bad, and was sent around as punishment. When Lori came back without seeing her friend, she asked and her response was that he was going to stay there for a year.
Another Year, another lie. Ronnie Anne had a video chat with Clyde, Liam, Rusty, Zach, and Stella to see what was going on and if they heard from Lincoln. Sadly, they were told the same story. Not knowing what to do, she did research and found out that the boot camps in Michigan can range from six weeks or longer. Finally, she confronted Lori as to what was going on, and the eldest Loud proceeded to tell them everything, even their parent's divorce because of Lincoln.
Both Bobby and Ronnie Anne were shocked, especially when Lori said that it was Lincoln's fault that their family had broken up the family. This riled up the 11-year-old girl, attacking Lori and Bobby had to restrain her and put her somewhere for her to cool off.
After getting his little sister out of sight, Bobby decided to confront Lori himself about the situation. It was pretty much the same situation only by the end of this Lori left in tears as Bobby broke up with her.
And throughout the year Bobby had cut all contact with her. Refusing to text or call her.
After their breakup, Lori went through a deep depression refusing to eat, sleep which affected her studies, she barely talked to her siblings including Leni.
Lori became a mess, but to make it worse, she would stare at the photo of herself and Bobby
During all that time, Lori was seriously thinking about the way she treated her only brother Lincoln and started thinking about what Bobby, her mother, and her other sisters all said to her.
When Lori left for college, she wanted to tell Bobby how truly wrong she was treating and blaming Lincoln for everything that happened in her family. And she got her chance when she and Bobby met once more during a pop concert on spring break.
Sadly he didn't forgive her after what she did, so Lori had to work her way to earn Bobby's forgiveness. They started out as friends. They talked and on occasion, texted each other, asking how their day was? Next was the meeting, the two hung out for a while, talking about random things and upcoming shows that piqued their interest.
As time went on, Bobby and Lori decided to go out on a date for the first time in over a year and their love once again blossomed. Lori had visited Bobby on the weekends, despite that his family was glad to see Bobby was dating again. All but his young sister Ronnie Anne who watched them like a hawk every time Lori showed up. The latina still hated Lori, her father and her sisters especially Lynn and Lola for Lincoln being sent away and blaming him for their family falling apart. Even though Lori had seen the error of her ways and really wished that she would one day see Lincoln again, Ronnie Anne couldn't bring herself to trust or even forgive her.
Three years after getting back together, Bobby popped the question and Lori said yes.
The week of Bobby and Lori's wedding, most of the Loud Family traveled down to Great Lake City to attend the wedding. This includes Rita, Leni, Luan, Lynn, Lucy, Lana, Lisa, and Lily.
The wedding itself was beautiful.
The only people who didn't attend the wedding were Ronnie Anne (We already know why), Lincoln since he was in Boot Camp, Luna since she was overseas, Lola because she was living with her father and his girlfriend, Lynn didn't want to go, and both Lynn Sr. and Olivia since Lori was mad at her father and didn't want either one of them to show up and ruin her and Bobby's special day. The Casagrande's made sure of it by having the Great Lake City Police Department watch outside the church, and they would be on the lookout if either Lynn Sr. or Olivia Cook showed up at all. If they did show up, the police would ask them to leave the premises or they would be arrested for trespassing. Fortunately, they didn't show up at all.
While back at the apartment building, Lynn was watching a lucha libre match between Monstruo enmascarado and el huracán when somebody knocked on the door, revealing to be a pissed-off Ronnie Anne and she was not happy to see her either. The day after The Loud Family arrived in Great Lake City, there was a bitter confrontation between the two Tomboys. It started an argument about how Lynn treated her brother and friends. Things were about to turn physical until they saw there were a lot of witnesses, including both of their families. So since neither Lynn nor Ronnie Anne wanted to attend the wedding, they decided to wait until everybody was gone that very day for the two teenagers to head down into the basement and fight it out.
The two families would be at the wedding until 8-9 pm and Ronnie Anne knew that she would face hell if they fought in the house. The two went downstairs, into the laundry room, and the secret room to duke it out.
Ronnie Anne was dressed in a white tank top with purple short sweatpants that went down and stopped at her thighs, with a shirt strip on both leggings, and black wrist tape for her hands.
Lynn was dressed in a white tank top with red short sweatpants that went down and stopped at her thighs, a red headband, and white wrist tape for her hands.
And the two fought. Kicks and punches as thrown. Both girls left with scratch marks and bruises, and on one occasion a busted lip. They rolled around on the floor a lot, both of them trying to get the advantage on one another. They ripped each other's clothes off one another. They fought dirty, doing stuff like scratching, biting, hair pulling and several other dirty tricks. They locked each other in a number of submissions holds, with many of them being chokeholds.
Lynn and Ronnie Anne went at it all day, not stopping, not resting. That was until both mothers of the two found them, and proceeded to break the two apart. They would try to get to one another, only for Rita Loud and Maria Santiago to keep them apart.
Because of this, The Loud family left that night, with Luan driving since Rita had too much since she needed something to relieve herself from the stress.
Both Lynn and Ronnie Anne were grounded for a month.
The two vowed that they will have a rematch with nobody knowing where they are, and only one of them walking out on their two feet.
Bobby watched as Noah and Caroline entered the door. "Hey Noah." Bobby said cheerfully as ever.
"Hey Bobby, how's the business going?"
"It comes and goes, who is the lovely lady beside you?"
"Dude, this happens to be my sister Caroline." Bobby was stunned
"Woah...didn't know you had another sister."
"Well… A lot of bad shit has happened throughout the years."
"Also do you know where your wife is?"
"She's at work, she won't be home until 6...wait how do you know I'm married? Um?"
"One of the photos of you and your wife behind you, not to mention the wedding ring indicated that, and two, your sister told me." Caroline spoke looking around at the walls behind the counter.
"Oh… Right!
"Look, there's something I need to ask her."
"You can ask me, I'll be sure to pass it along."
"It's about Leni."
Lori walked back from her place of employment which was a secretary for a big company. She wore a grey business dress with a sky blue dress shirt, she also wore a blue short dress skirt that went almost to her knees and showed off her surprisingly well-toned legs.
Underneath the dress that she's usually in, Lori has an incredibly hot body and it showed. Whenever she wasn't wearing her work clothes, Men would oftentimes stare at the married woman, some would even walk into the wall or a pole while their eyes were glued to her. It would even make other women jealous, especially when they catch their man ogling the 27-year-old. They were also jealous at how incredibly hot Lori's body was, many of them couldn't even come close to competing with her.
She has long beautiful blonde hair that was normally tied in a bun but flowed down towards her upper back when she let it out, DD-Cup breast, nicely toned abdomen, and nice big round booty. It wasn't as big as her mother when she was her age but it was noticeable.
Some even came up to her and asked her out, only to disappoint them by stating that she was married.
Opening the door to her apartment, the woman sighs. "I'm back!" She said, closing the door, taking a seat on the sofa where her husband Bobby was with Noah and another girl who was sitting on the chair.
"Hey babe."
"Hey Bobby, Noah...and?" Lori asked in a bit of confusion.
"Caroline, Noah's younger sister." Caroline answered calmly. "I'll get straight to the point. Ronnie Anne tells me that your sister Leni had been acting strangely."
"Yes...I have noticed Leni has been doing...some things that are out of the ordinary."
"Tell me more?" Caroline asked, leaning forward.
"Well from the last time I saw Leni, she was with a guy."
"Do you know what this guy looks like?"
"He's caucasian with light blond hair, with a tattoo on his neck. He also wears a Dallas Cowboys cap." Caroline nodded to Lori's description.
"Has she been on any social media recently?"
"No, she hasn't updated her profile recently. Her last update was several months ago stating she was in a relationship." Caroline nodded again.
"And do you know where she or Carlota lives?"
"Sorry, Leni didn't tell me where she was moving to, and Calota should be home."
"Did she act strange when you asked her about the person she was with, or any abnormal behavior?"
"Yes, As long as I knew Leni, she had never taken off, or wore her glasses unless she was on the beach or someplace to sunbathe. The last time I saw her was last week where she wore her shades indoors, a green sweater, and blue jeans. On a hot day!." Lori finished. Caroline remained silent, her mind calculating all the information she had received, and formulated one concussion.
Leni was being abused physically.
There was a high percentage chance that Leni was being abused, but Caroline couldn't rule out that she might be punishing her for what she had done to Lincoln.
"Hmm….. Do you think this new guy she's with might be beating her?" Lori asked, a bit worried about her sister being hurt.
"Honestly….. It is a possibility, but I can't rule out that she's punishing herself for some reason."
"If that's the case, we need to get Leni away from that guy."
"I know, but Leni is too scared and might be fearing for her life as well as for the family."
"Babe I'm sure we can get her away from that guy. Even if I have to go there and take her myself."
"I really appreciate your help sweetie, but you and I have our son to take care of, and I really don't wanna lose you." Lori said with concern for her husband.
"You guys don't need to worry, I'll find out what's going on and if Leni is being abused." Caroline said while getting up and pulling out her phone, and began to scroll down her contacts.
"But how can you do that without knowing where Leni lives?"
"Let's just say that I've got some old friends that happen to be trained professionals." Caroline smiled.
Bobby and Lori looked at each other, wondering what Caroline had on her mind. That was when they both noticed the time.
"Alright sweetie, I'm gonna head out and pick up Hector from after school." Bobby said, as he got off the couch and headed to the door. Caroline had opened her browser and checked social media sites to search for Leni Loud which wasn't hard to find. She had several profiles ranging from Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.
"Jackpot!" Caroline muttered to herself. Going on her Facebook account and saw that she was posing with what looked like her friends. It also said her last post was on January 10, 2026.
It was already the middle of May.
The story checked up.
She then tapped on her friend's list, and there at the top, she saw the man who was dating Leni.
His name was Duncan Farnsworth.
Caroline decided to look him up for any information.
What she found was nothing special. He was the same age as Leni, only a couple of weeks older than her, went to school at Cesar Chavez High school, went to Indiana University Bloomington, and was in a relationship with said subject. Upon looking at the photos Caroline just saw a happy couple with nothing out of the ordinary. But she knew from experience that looks can be deceiving.
'Ok, This is getting me nowhere.' Exiting out of her browser, she went into her contacts and called someone who can get her some extra information.
"Oh, hey Sand Cobra. Not even a week and you're already looking for contracts huh?"
"Not really Cyberwall. I need some information."
"Oh, alright, who am I searching?"
"Duncan Farnsworth."
"Duncan Farnsworth." There was some typing on the other end. "Ok, Duncan Farnsworth...age 26, in a relationship with Leni Loud...hey isn't that one of Snow Bunny's sisters?"
"Yes, she from what I gather is being abused by him."
"Hold on." There was more typing in the background. "Well, Looks like this Duncan is more than he appears."
Leni was a sweet and kind girl, a bit dim-witted but kind. She would often do dumb things like accidentally runs into the bathroom door, sticking paper on her computer and calling it a post, or mistaken soap for soup on a number of occasions, while the siblings are trying to decide who gets the last slice of pizza, when Lisa suggests using her calipers to equally measure out a piece, Leni mistakes "calipers" for "caterpillars" and says that they should split it evenly 40/40, you know where we're going with it.
After the incident with Lincoln breaking a very expensive and valuable cup, she was angry with her little brother. With the money, she 'believes' that her family could own the Royal Woods Mall and she would be allowed to stay there all throughout the day and night.
However, that dream soon turned into a nightmare after her little brother was sent away. She had still made clothes but lost that flare that Luna had when it came to music and that same plate Luan had when it came to comedy.
Leni (after realizing Lola had lied to everyone) really missed her little brother, she really wished that she wasn't angry about losing out on what would have changed her and the family as a whole. She would live to regret that decision for a very long time. She for the longest time, wanted to say sorry to him for siding with her father.
As weeks turn to months and months turn to years, she has grown somewhat bitter towards her father, and whom she dubs as stepmother Olivia. Her father's girlfriend would belittle her from the smallest of things and when she tries to explain herself, Olivia just dismisses it.
Leni even grew bitter and angrier towards her younger sisters Lynn and Lola and would snap at them from time to time. Lynn, it was obvious, but for Lola, it wasn't since she would often come up to her, asking her for advice only to be pushed away.
As time went on, she was starting to act more like Lori since she was the eldest sister in that house.
After Luna had moved out to get away from her father and his girlfriend, Leni was stuck watching Lynn and Lola. Slowly Leni was turning into a bitch, she still stayed with them until she left for college, something that shocked everybody.
She hadn't spoken to her father, Luna, Lynn, Lola or anybody since she left as far as others would think.
Leni's friends Mandee, Jackie, Fiona, Miguel, and even Ms. Carmichael were all getting worried about the change in behavior, Leni had turned into a different person.
Even when she was helping customers they noticed the mask she wore and sighed wishing she was anywhere else but here. They also noticed that she was sad, and it showed in her performance when she would oftentimes give less advice about styles.
After work Fiona, Miguel, and Ms. Carmichael had a meeting and asked Leni about the change in behavior. She confesses that their parents got a divorce, their family had split up, her brother was sent to boot camp and won't return for another 9 years. She wasn't on speaking terms with her younger siblings nor her father and his new girlfriend. They gave her some advice and sent her off with Ms. Carmichael telling her she can take a few days off and to have a spa day.
Whenever Leni would get home from work, she would often go to her room, lay down on her bed and cry to herself. She would stay in her room for hours, oftentimes taking her dinner into her room so she wouldn't confront her father or sisters.
After graduation, she stayed with her father for another year, and sisters to save up money, and when she had enough, she left, moving in with her sister Lori and Bobby. There she went to school with Carlota for fashion and design.
Carlota and Leni would get along just good like they became best friends, even sisters sometimes. But every now and then, Carlota and Leni would compete with one another, they would even hold makeup competitions with Leni losing due to the lack of experience. But win if it comes for clothing.
Both she and Carlota agreed to open a shop together. A store that would sell Leni's designer clothes while Carlota with the help of her younger brother C.J would run a salon in conjunction with the building. The two would call it 'Dress to Impress', however, they didn't have enough money to start.
One day while drinking kelp juice, she met a guy who happened to be an investor that goes by the name Shane Schwartz. He was about to leave until he heard those magical words. The words that would trigger any mind to turn their sinful fantasy into reality.
'I'll do anything.'
Shane took Leni into the alleyway, unzipped his pants, and told her to get on her knees, which she did, and start sucking. She refused at first thinking it was gross, but then Shane brought up how she might ruin her dream to open a business with her friend, and that he knew some people who would help. She nodded and started to suck.
And she was bad at it.
Granted this would be her first time performing fellatio.
Shane rolls his eyes and begins to push his cock down her throat without warning, causing her to gag. He continued this for a minute before cumming in Leni's throat. Something Leni was sure she would never do again since it tasted very salty. Sighing He zips up his pants, reaches into his pocket, and produces a check, and pen, he writes on it and hands it to her.
The check read 60,000 dollars.
She was going to question this but Shane assured her that it wouldn't bounce, confusing her even more. Shane just facepalm and left the dim-witted woman there. Later Leni went to Carlota and Lori, showed them the check, and told her what she had done in order to get it.
Both Lori and Carlota were shocked, disgusted, and horrified with what Leni had to do in order to get the money, and Carlota made sure that any decision Leni makes the latina would be there with her so something like this won't happen again.
After the incident, the two rented space large enough for their idea, and the name is 'Dress to Impress Salon&Clothes'. One half a salon where Carlota and C.J worked and the other half was made to house clothes of Leni's design, with the offer to modify costumes specification mostly for size.
The store got a lot more customers than they would expect in their first year, the costumers base were girls, mostly because they wanted to look good for their dates, weddings, and parties. There were also men who wanted to look good as well, but most of them wanted to see Carlota and Leni, mostly Carlota since she had the body of a supermodel, with her thicc thighs to show.
Leni had a hot model body as well, but she couldn't compete with Carlota.
Carlota has had 7 boyfriends, and she's slept with 5 of them since she turned 18. Throughout the years, she would have a lot of guys come up to her and would ask her out. Most of them would be shot down with only a few guys being lucky enough for Carlota to give them her phone number, and maybe have a one-shot special night with her. Sadly most of her relationships ended with the man cheating on her or mostly because they didn't have good chemistry.
Leni, not wanting to be outdone by her friend/rival, had 4 boyfriends, with her sleeping with 2 of them. Sadly due to her kind, gentle and dim-witted nature most of her relationships lasted around at best three weeks since most of the men wanted her for her body and nothing else.
All that changed when she met Duncan.
Duncan was handsome, charming, a thinker, and more,
He looked like her brother.
Save for the hair.
And the teeth which weren't chipped or bucked.
What drew her towards him were his chams and promises to be together forever.
But that was only a mere fantasy.
Duncan had met her elder sister Lori and her husband Bobby, her business partner Carlota, her little brothers C.J and Carl, and Ronnie Anne. They all approve of the relationship since Duncan was like most men Leni or Carlota dated, with Carlota commenting to be careful or else she might snatch him up.
Duncan commented that he wouldn't mind taking both girls on at once, however, his heart belongs to Leni.
All that changed after New Year's Day. Leni would come to the shop wearing her sunglasses all throughout the day. When she was indoors, she insisted on wearing her coat, but the biggest red flag was the length in time she stood with her family and friends when they weren't at work.
20 minutes til half an hour.
Another was when she had moved out to live with Duncan.
Lori, Carlota, and all of Leni's friends were worried about her.
After her move, they barely saw Leni. And when they did she was wearing heavy set clothing.
They all tried to talk to Leni about this, but she wouldn't tell them anything out of fear.
Every time any of them would even try to talk to Leni about this or even ask her a question, she would respond either by changing the topic, saying she doesn't know or she would just snap at them and tell them to leave it alone.
They were fearing that Duncan was doing horrible things to Leni.
It was clear that Leni's life was in danger.
Lori, Carlota, Mandee, Jackie, Fiona, and Miguel all wanted to get her away from Duncan or even try to report him to the police, but there was nothing they could do to help them out without any evidence let alone knowing where Duncan lives.
Caroline's investigation led her to a house that was a 30-minute drive from the city. The house was two stories tall with a metal fence. She also saw a Chevrolet Malibu in the driveway. Indicating that someone was getting a good income. Parking her car a few blocks away, the camel-skinned woman got out of her car, along with a small cardboard box she had gotten from the store. She opened the gate, and closed it behind her walking up toward the white door, she hit the doorbell and waited for someone to answer.
"I'll get it." A female voice spoke and after a minute, opened the door. Leni wore a seafoam green sweater and matching jeans, and white sneakers. She had on her shades and was also wearing a scarf around her neck. Caroline just blinks at this. Since it was warm outside about 75 degrees and considered the stories she heard about the second daughter of the Loud Family getting abused were becoming more accurate. She of course was much taller than Caroline by a couple of inches.
"Can I help you?"
"Yes, I'm looking for Miss Leni Loud. Are you her?"
"That would totes be me, may I ask who you are?"
"My name is Caroline, I'm a friend of Lincoln."
"Wait, he's alive? Lincoln isn't dead? Where is he?"
"No ma'am, Lincoln Loud is still alive. And from the last time I spoke to him, he's back in his hometown of Royal Woods."
"Wait, like how do you know about my little brother?"
"We were both parts of the same boot camp." Caroline shrugged.
"Leni." Came the voice of a male. "Who's at the door?" At the door stood a 5 foot 11 inches caucasian male in his late 20s who wore a short-sleeve white shirt, brown cargo pants, and matching shoes. "Can we help you?"
"Yes, I'm here to deliver this." She presented a box. "Lincoln sends his regards and that he truly misses you. And hope to see you soon."
Taking the box Caroline waved them goodbye before turning around and walked off. Leni was about to stop her but Duncan placed a hand on her shoulder before closing the door.
"So who's Lincoln?" Duncan asked, confused by the name.
"Oh, he's my younger brother." Leni said this only for the man to nod and walk off. Leni opened the box to see what was inside. Inside were three dolls, one bear, one cat, and one white bunny. There was also a note saying 'I will see you soon Leni.'
Caroline had walked back to her car, got in, and dove off.
She drove to a nearby parking lot, pulled out her laptop, and opened it. Once on she enters her password and taps the app with a camera on it. When the window popped up, she was amazed that three dolls were quickly placed in the position they were in.
The bear was placed on top of a fireplace, facing the living room, and open consent kitchen. The bunny was placed on a dresser in one of the three bedrooms, and the cat was placed in a room filled with fabric.
'Alright time to see if the rumors about Leni Loud being abused by her boyfriend are true or not.'
Nothing had happened for a few hours. As night set and everyone was ready to go to bed she saw Leni in front of the vanity mirror getting ready to turn in for the night. When she removed her glasses shirt and pants, Caroline wasn't shocked to see her target sporting b marks on her arms, and legs, as well as a black eye on the left eye.
The emotional part of her head wanted to sneak in, put a bullet between Leni's boyfriend's eyes and take her back to her sister and tell her the whole story, but the logical side contested. What if Lori, Bobby, and Ronnie Anne were making all of this up, and Leni had been getting into fights? Who could say Duncan is an actual good boyfriend and agrees to keep Leni away from others for sanity's sake, and then worrying about her.
She watched for another hour. Both Duncan gave Leni a kiss on the cheek, and headed to bed with her following minutes later. With nothing else, Caroline drove back to the apartment.
The next day was the same. Nothing really happened. Duncan left early, followed by Leni who left soon after. Thinking this would be a perfect time to speak to her business partner Caroline drove to Dress to Impress Salon. As she entered, she was met with a slightly buff and slightly chubby latino male in his early 20's He wore a yellow collar shirt, blue jeans, and a bow tie?
"Hello there, welcome to Dress to Impress Salon. How may I help you?" The man said in a childlike manner.
"Is Carlota Casagrande in um…"
"C.J...and she isn't in trouble is she?"
"No...I want to ask her a few questions."
"It's about Leni, isn't it?"
"How did you know?"
"Carlota and Ronnie Anne told last night." C.J said remembering what his prima and older sister told him. "Carlota is in the back."
"Can you please take me to her or get her for me?" Caroline asked to which C.J nodded.
"Sure!" C.J walked through the employee's only doors to the back to get his sister. After a minute, a tall latina came out. She wore black jeans, a pair of black boots, and a shoulderless green top.
"Hello." the latina said.
"Hello, are you Carlota Casagrande?"
"That would be me."
"My name is Caroline. I like to ask you about Duncan Farnsworth."
"Leni's boyfriend...Other than him looking multa. I don't know much. He often comes around from time to time getting a haircut from C.J."
"I see...and have you seen anything strange about Leni?"
"Other than her wearing out-of-season clothes. Do you think that she's being abused?" Carlota askes.
"Has she been in fights lately?"
"Oh no no no no no...Leni is too sweet to get into a fight." Carlota said quickly, making the camel-skinned woman to nod.
After a small chat. Caroline waves them goodbye and wishes them a good day. Caroline left and got into her car, and drove off.
As the week went by, nothing special happened, other than Duncan kissing her cheek and lips with Leni returning the affection.
However, all that changed one Thursday afternoon.
"What have I told you about talking to other people?" Yell a piss off Duncan.
"I-I-I-I-I didn't mean to...I just said hell-" She was soon cut off by the sound of a hand coming across her face.
"You dim-witted slut, I told you time and time again not to talk to anyone!" What followed next was a savage beating leaving Leni even more bruised with a busted lip, and a broken nose with blood slowly pouring from said nose and lip. After the beating, Duncan spit at her. "Useless skank." and walked off, leaving a beaten Leni on the ground, sniffing and crying.
Watching this, Caroline was shocked. She didn't want to believe that Duncan was abusing her, considering what she saw in the past couple of days was a loving and supporting boyfriend, and that Leni was getting into fights, most likely to cope with the loss of her brother for 10 years "I've gotta tell Lincoln and tell him about this." Caroline then grabbed her phone and called her partner.
"Hey Caroline, what's up?"
"Lincoln, you have to come down to Great Lake City asap." Caroline said, sounding a bit worried.
"Why, that's the matter?"
"It's your older sister Leni. I'll give you the details once you're here."
"Alright, I'll pack come down there asap."
"See you soon Snowbunny." Caroline hung up the phone and looked back at the laptop. "Don't worry Leni...your brother is coming."
