"WOOOH! Sokka was shouting from his seat. "Let's get ready to rumble! TAKE THEM DOOOOWN!" he shouted.
Around Sokka there was a bunch of people making the same amount of noise as they were all facing the same fighting ring. An earth rumble ring!
On Sokkas left was Suki who looked pretty amused by the spectacle.
And on Sokkas right… Lao Beifong was on his way chewing off all of his nails. At this rate he wouldn't even have a hand left when this tournament was over.
Poppy Beifong looked a little better, but still rather nervous.
"HAHAHAHA! I'm going to be rich! WOOOH!" Sokka held up his arms.
"Did you bet all your money on Toph?" Suki asked.
"Down to the last little copper. Trust me. It's a safe bet! Tonight we'll go out and have the finest dinner. And it'll be on me!" Sokka stated as he leaned back with a grin on his face. "It's almost too easy." he grinned. "Almost." he smirked.
Indeed. They were all seated to watch a great official earth rumble! A match between earth benders. With audiences shouting and screaming. And Toph of course… had signed up to fight.
Lao looked white as a sheet, sweat dripping from his face as his hands almost went all the way into his mouth.
Suki leaned over to look at the older man. "Do you…. Need a bag?" she asked.
"I… I'm fine." Lao stammered. "I'm just supporting my girl pursuing her passions! Yes. That's it… Oma and Shu she's going to die!" he cried. "Poppy what do we do?!" he asked.
"LAO!" Poppy grabbed his shoulders. "We can do this! We can be here for our little girl! She's the avatars earth bending master! She's stronger than we thought she were."
"But… She's our little girl!" Lao exclaimed and Poppy cried.
"I knooooow! What do we dooo?!" She asked as she grabbed Lao and they both clutched each other.
"SMASH THEIR FACES IN TOPH!" Sokka screamed down at the stage. "Kick their butts! Twist their spines! EARN ME THAT CASH!"
Then finally the announcer stepped out on stage and the audience screamed as the big muscle bound man shouted. "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!" he shouted. "Welcome to our 43th annual Kaldrum city EAAAARTH RUMBLE!"
"Yeaaah! WOOOOH!" Sokka shouted.
"The rules are simple!" The announcer stated. "Our fighters will meet in two on two matches! The first one to either being cast outside of the ring or lay on the ground long enough for our judge to count to five is out!" he shouted. "The winner advances to the next round! And finally the two strongest will meet in a match for our 100.000 gold coin price and the title of champion! Which they can forever proof with our priced champion belt!" he exclaimed as a woman walked in, basically only clothed in a tiny bikini barely covering up her massive breasts as she held up the belt. Glittering with untold amounts of shiny stones. Shining in pure gold.
"Woooooow!" Sokka gasped only for Suki to cover his eyes.
"Hey! I was looking at the belt! The belt!" Sokka exclaimed.
"Sure you were." Suki smirked.
"Now for our first match!" The announcer shouted. "The great landslide vs… MR DRILLLLLL!"
And Sokka screamed as two incredible large burly guys stepped on step, playing with their muscles and people cheered.
"To-Toph is going to face those kind of guys?" Lao asked in a stammer.
"Yeah I know. They wont even know what hit them!" Sokka laughed.
"CRUSH THEM! LET ME SEE SOME ROCKS! BREAK HIS BONES!" Suki screamed and Sokka turned to her as he blinked.
"What? I'm a martial artist. I like fighting." Suki grinned.
And then Sokka grinned. "You're the best!" he stated as the gong rang and the fight started.
And then the match started and big rocks were flung across the stage as the two huge guys started to sweat and wrestle while the crowd went wild and finally 'The great land' was flung off the stage giving Mr Drill the win.
Only for the two men to be replaced by the next two who somehow seemed to be even bigger! And the next two coming out after that also two big mountains of pure muscle and meat.
And then finally… Finally.
"Next up we have! Rocky the mountain AND the blind bandit!" The announcer shouting as the biggest guy yet stepped on step, towering every everyone and then… A little girl stepped up making everyone quiet.
"Oh no… She's going to die. She'll die!" Lao cried.
"GO GET HIM TOPH!" Sokka screamed, with the big silence his voice being the only thing echoing through the halls. "CRUSH HIM!"
The Rocky the mountain blinked as he looked down, he had to really bow down to see the little thing standing in his own shadow. "Eerhh." he hesitated in a deep voice. "I don't know how comfortable I am with this."
"You scared?" Toph asked as she pointed up. "I'm the worlds greatest earth bender you ignorant inbreed!"
And then Lao just slumped down having lost conscious.
"HEY! Get back up!" Sokka pulled Lao back up and slapped him awake. "Blink and you'll miss it dude!"
"Girl you should really learn how to watch your language." Rocky the mountain said dryly. "That's not a nice thing to say!"
"FIGHT ME LIKE A MAN!" Toph shouted. "Or maybe you are just a big chicken!"
Rocky the mountain sighed deeply. "All right. I just need to get her off the ring right?" he asked. "Come here little girl." he reached a big hand for Toph looking like he intended to pick her up.
Only for Toph to deftly avoid the hand.
Rocky the mountain frowned as he turned around making another grab for her and Toph moved again.
"Come on." Rocky the mountain sighed. "Just get off the stage so I can fight a real fight." he asked.
"All right fine then." Toph smirked, she moved her hands, stamped on the ground and suddenly the ground sprung from the ground sending rocky the mountain up in the air. And then another boulder lifted and smacked him sending Rocky the mountain literately flying over the heads of the entire audience and then directly into the back wall where he slid down.
There was silence… Stunned silence as all looked at the girl standing on stage.
"ALL RIGHT WHO'S NEXT!" Toph screamed. "I'll take you all at ones! It'll safe us all some time! I am the one who is going to win this thing after all! None of you stand a chance!"
There was stunned silence.
"So erhm… I guess. The blind bandit won." The announcer said.
"YAHAAAA!" Sokka shouted. "I told you! I told you all!" he shouted and then finally, people started to get it as they caught on and started to cheer as they grinned.
"Oh my." Poppy blinked. "She's not bad at all is she?" she asked.
"Well… I suppose it isn't to bad." Lao swallowed.
And then suddenly. Each time Toph came on stage she swiftly dealt with her opponents and the further she got into it…. The more Poppy got into.
"YOU CAN TAKE THEM SWEETHEART!" Poppy screamed. "SQUASH THEM! TEAR THEIR LIMPS APART! GO GET THEM SWEETHEART!"
"YOU HEARD YOUR MOTHER! BRING HOME THAT BELT! DESTROY THEM ALL HONEY!" Lao screamed.
"YEAAAAAAAH!" Sokka screamed.
"I WANT TO SEE BLOOD!" Suki shouted. "SHOW ME SOME BLOOD TOPH!"
And then finally…. The two finalist stood in front of each other. It should have been exciting but it really wasn't. And everyone pretty much knew it.
Toph was smirking. Her poor opponent who had fought his way all the way up to the top looked outright resigned.
Then Toph cracked her knuckles and her neck. "So we're doing this?"
Her opponent sighed as he took a stands. Barely did he manage to throw a rock before the rock was send right back at him and he flew off the stage while people screamed.
"WE HAVE A WINNEEEEEER!" The announcer shouted.
"Was that it?!" Toph asked. "Seriously?! Come on! Isn't there anyone here able to give me a decent match?!" she asked. "FIGHT ME YOU FOOLS! I'll take you all at ones! I was being serious."
"Ooooh! Our champion is on for another match. What is the audience say?"
And there was a roaring yes. Which Sokka, Suki, Lao and Puppy was a part of.
"I never thought you asked." a new voice sounded room and Sokka gasped.
"Oh my Tui and La" Sokka gasped. "Can't it be!"
"So you came." Toph smirked. "Good! I hoped you would."
"HAHAHAHAHA!" Sounded the laughter. "You got guts. Little girl! But can you take the heat!" And then from somewhere from above a figure plummeted down and landed right on the stage as he stood up and flung away his robe revealing an old man with crazy hair and odd eyes. "Meet your doom blind bandit! FOR THE KING OF OMASHU SHALL DESTROY YOU!" Bumi shouted loudly and Sokka lost it.
"AAAAHHHHHH!" Sokka screamed. "Toph! King Bumi! This shit is crazy! WOOOOH!"
"Awww. So they let you out of the nursing home." Toph smirked. "Come and get it old man!"
"Who are you calling old?!" Bumi asked. "I'm 113 years young!" then he smirked. "Perhaps the little girl needs to run back to her baby sitters. I hear it's past her feeding time and she needs her baby bottle."
"All right you asked for it!" Toph exclaimed. "You're on!"
And Bumi grinned.
"Well all right." The announcer blinked. "The Blind Bandit against the King of Omashu!" he stated as he stepped back. "Same rules as always! Are you thrown off the ring or spend five seconds on the ground! LETS RUMBLEEEEE!" he shouted and the big gong rang.
Toph and Bumi both took a stands and then…. Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Sokka blinked. "Erh what is going on?" he asked.
And there kept being silence as both fighters were just standing there.
Bumi tilted his head. "Ladies first." he encouraged.
"No no. the old should always have the first move." Toph encouraged.
"Oh no I couldn't possible do that." Bumi said. "After you. I insist."
"You are just being a big chicken aren't you?" Toph said. "Hit me old man."
"I am not old." Bumi said. "And I am only part chicken thank you very much. On my mothers side." he grinned.
And then they just stood there again and Suki frowned.
"They are both users of Jia Sense aren't they?" Suki asked.
"What now?" Sokka asked.
"Wait for the right time." Suki said. "Like I taught you to remember? Wait for the opponent to come to you and then use their own attack against them."
"So… They are both waiting for the other one to attack?" Sokka asked in a blink. "BOOOOH!" he shouted down. "Stop standing around! One of you just throw a rock all ready!"
Finally Toph and Bumi both sighed.
"You know the lad is right." Bumi commented.
"So on three?" Toph asked and Bumi smirked.
"Fine! One." Bumi began.
"Two." Toph exclaimed and then they both shouted.
"THREE!" And two massive pillars of rock rose from the stage. Bumi was send up into the air but then summersaulted and directed himself down on the ground again where he landed in a giant crash sending waves of earth towards Toph that swirled and re-directed the earth back only for Bumi to block it all and then kicked a small rock in the air Toph barely managed to dodge.
"Now this is what I am talking about!" Sokka exclaimed. "Now finally. A decent fight?"
Lao swallowed. "Will this… Be all right?" she asked.
"Of course!" Sokka asked. "What could go wrong." then suddenly the seats made of stone shifted under Sokka and he blinked as they all seemed to glide down. He looked up to see Toph bring down the walls making them an avalanche to burrie Bumi only for Bumi to protect himself in a earth cocoon and all the seats and falls started to move and crack.
"Erh Toph…" Sokka halted. "TOPH! YOU NEED TO STOP!" he shouted but his voice could barely be heard over the loud crashes and the boulders. "BUMIIII! TIME OUT! YOU NEED A TIME OUT!" he shouted as the ceiling above them started to crack to and he looked up. "Oh no." he whispered.
"EVERY BODY OOOOOOOOUT!" Suki screamed as she stood up.
"But! My little girl!" Lao cried.
"Yeah sir. If you get close to her now you die. Excuse me." Suki exclaimed as she picked up Lao. Threw him over her shoulder and then just ran out closely followed by Sokka who grabbed Poppys hand to pull her out and everyone screamed as a flood of people all screamed and ran out.
Screaming did Sokka burst out of the building with his group and wide-eyed looked behind himself just in time to see the building collapse and everything was complete rubble. EVERYTHING…. Except the stage with two figures standing on it who had grabbed each others hands and tried to push the other back.
"Given up yet girl?" Bumi asked in a smirk.
"Never old man!" Toph beamed.
"STOOOOOOP!" Suddenly the announcer jumped in. "Stop! Both stop! Now!"
Wide-eyed did Bumi and Toph step back as they blinked.
"We're on a timeout?" Toph asked.
"No." The announcer said in a calm voice before screaming. "YOU ARE BOTH DISQUALIFIED!" he shouted. "Destroying the entire building is not allowed!"
"Oh." Bumi looked around. Seemingly first now realizing what they had done. "Hah sorry about that. I get carried away." he laughed and snorted.
"It was a great match though." Toph smirked.
"NO!" The announcer shouted. "It was terrible! You are both terrible and you are banned from this tournament and any other tournament in the future you hear me! GET OUT OF HERE! And let me never see either of you again! Or I will have you arrested."
"Awww." Both Toph and Bumi pouted but finally jumped off the stage and waddled towards Sokka and his group.
"TOPH!" Poppy ran for Toph and then hugged her. "You were amazing!"
And Toph grinned. "You really think so!"
"My girl! Owning the ring!" Lao grinned.
"Dad." Toph beamed all over her face. Then sniffed. "I'm so glad you came!"
"Anything for my girl." Lao swallowed. "Now. Let's find a place to eat. It's on me. We need to celebrate my girls victory."
"Well technically." Sokka said. "No one was declared a winner so…"
They all silenced.
"Who won?" Suki asked.
They all looked at each other and then shrugged.
"You know I think we need to call this a draw." Sokka said.
"Yeah that's fair." Toph shrugged. "I guess we have to settle this another time:"
"Oh absolutely." Bumi nodded.
Sokka was quiet. "If you ever do decide to settle it for good. May I suggest to go somewhere else?" he asked. "Like a desolate wasteland where there is no civilization at at least a 100 kilometers radius?"
"You got it!" Toph grinned. "Right Bumi!"
"Absolutely." Bumi grinned. "Do you want to be our referee Sokka?"
"Eeerh… yeah I'll pass." Sokka finally stated.
