A/N: This chapter is mainly fluff with some plot development squished in between. I just wanted that last night of summer feel.

Jake swears they had bought the whole store. His mom had already cleared out the shoe room and the closet in there. There was also an empty dresser Susan gave them. Rose was folding baby clothes and talking to Jake.

"Does it bother you what Rotwood said?" Rose asked, smiling as she pulled two stuffed dragons from the bag. Pink and blue.

"On a scale of one to ten? About a five." Jake said. He'd dealt with Rotwood before.

"He doesn't even know they're twins." Rose said.

"And we're going to keep it that way." Jake said.

"Agreed...so are you excited about your first day of work tomorrow?" Rose asked.

"No. I'm excited for the first day of homeschool and the dragon mission I'm doing. I just don't see how I can fit work into my schedule." Jake said.

"Well...I talked to your grandpa about it. Everyone is finished with school at three. Us probably earlier than Nigel, Trixie, and Kyle...so we meet right after school moving it to the afternoon instead of the evening when you have work." Rose said.

"We? I said I didn't want you involved." Jake said.

"I just want to help a tad. Do some research. Spend time with you. I can't stay in the house all alone watching Haley tap everyday while you go out on dragon duty." Rose said.

"I have the most stubborn girlfriend in the world." Jake laughed.

"Is that a yes?" Rose asked.

"Yes." Jake said.

Rose smiled and continued folding clothes. Jake couldn't help but smile at the small clothes. They heard a knock on the door.

"ROSE! I MISSED YOU!" Jake didn't need to look to know it was Sam.

"Hi Sam...you brought Nigel." Rose said.

"Is that alright? I caught her on the way out and she asked me to come." Nigel asked.

"Yeah! I'm just looking at some of the clothes and toys we bought today! Sam, you'll love this!" Rose said dragging Sam into Jake's room. Sam squealed at a onesie that said "Princess."

"So cute! Nigel, don't you think it's precious?" Sam asked.

"I suppose." Nigel said.

"Look at the pink and blue dragons!" Sam said.

"I know, I love them!" Rose said.

"Hey, why don't you two go through all of this? I'm going outside with Nigel." Jake said.

"Oh thank god." Nigel said.

Jake laughed and went downstairs with Nigel. "Hey mom, the girls are upstairs we're stepping out." He said.

"Okay honey." His mom said.

They stepped outside and Jake leaned against the door.

"If I heard the word 'cute' one more time-" Nigel started.

"I know. You don't have to live with it." Jake said.

"Trouble in paradise?" Nigel asked.

"No. It's not like that. I just...I'm tired of hearing about my job, and the baby, and how rare they are. I just want things to go back to normal sometimes. Just me and Rose. Do you really think I'm ready to be someone's dad?" Jake asked.

He felt better once he told Nigel about this. Finally saying everything that's been on his mind. Especially since the fight they had this morning. Then he realized...he told Nigel. Nigel was dating Sam. Sam was Rose's twin sister.

"Not a word of that to Sam." He said.

"You have my word. It won't leave this porch." Nigel promised.

"I do love her. I know I'll love the babies too. I just wish we were older and more prepared." Jake said.

"I understand where you are coming from. My parents weren't prepared so they passed the responsibility of me onto my grandmother. At least you are trying. As for the job, you're a good dancer Long, own it. It's cool. Everyone is jealous. Rose is truly a lucky girl." Nigel said.

"So is Sam. I know you'll take care of her." Jake said.

Rose opened the door, wearing a new sundress she bought.

"Isn't this cute?" She asked.

Jake looked at Nigel. He laughed .

"It's not cute?" Rose asked.

Jake smiled. "It's adorable babe."

"So what were you guys talking about?" Rose asked.

"Just the mission." Jake said.

"Oh. Well come back in. Sam wants to play truth or dare." Rose said.

"What is truth or dare?" Nigel asked.

"You've never played...okay. We'll explain the rules. It's simple really. Jake, you're playing right?" Rose asked.

"Can I invite Spud and Trixie?" Jake asked.

"Sure! The bigger the group the better the game!" Rose said.

"I'm curious as to why this game is such a big deal." Nigel said, following Rose upstairs while Jake called Trixie and Spud in a group call.

"Hey Jakey, what's up?" Trixie asked.

"Yo, Trix. How are you on this call too?" Spud asked.

"I merged the calls so I could talk to you both at once." Jake explained.

"Oh...what's up bro?" Spud asked.

"I want you guys to come over. Sam, and Nigel are here. We're playing truth or dare." Jake said.

"I'm in." Spud said.

"I don't know...Kyle is busy and I don't want to be a third wheel." Trixie said.

"Pretend Spud is your date. He's single." Jake said.

"I'll come with him, but he is NOT my date. See you in a few Jake." Trixie said.

"Yeah, be there in a sec." Spud said.

Jake hungup and walked back upstairs. Rose was on his bed, the baby clothes had been put away. The dragons left out. He had to admit they were growing on him. He walked over to her and kissed her forehead.

"They'll be here in a minute." Jake said.

"Awesome. Sam you explained everything to Nigel right?" Rose asked.

"Oh. I forgot." Sam giggled.

Jake rolled his eyes and looked at Rose. She didn't look amused, he knew how protectivie she could be so he decided to explain.

"So here's how it goes Nigel, you pick a truth or a dare. If you pick truth you have to answer any question one hundred percent truthfully. If you pick dare, you have to complete a dare. If you refuse to do either-you forfeit. What's the forfeit Sam?" Jake asked.

"Well Rose is pregnant, so a shot is out of the question-which is the usual forfeit. So twenty dollars? Each forfeit." Sam said.

"What does she mean each forfeit?" Jake asked Rose.

"Sam plays this game...kind of dirty. But who in this room doesn't already know everything about us?" Rose whispered.

"True." He said. The door opened.

"Yo, are we playin' or what?" Trixie asked.

"Yup. The forfeit is twenty dollars- Rose can't do shots." Sam said.

"That doesn't mean we can't." Trixie said, pulling out a bottle of tequila. Spud had the glasses.

"YOU GUYS ROCK!" Jake said. Then looked at Rose.

"If it's okay with you." he said.

"I'll do the twenty dollar forfeit, you guys can drink. It's the last day of summer." Rose said.

"I don't condone underage drinking. So I'll be doing the money as well." Nigel said.

"Sorry hun, I don't share your opinions on that." Sam said.

Rose put her hand on his shoulder. "It's okay, she'll probably need someone to walk her home anyways. Sneak her in through the window if she's too drunk." Rose laughed.

"Aren't you worried about your parent's finding out Long?" Nigel asked.

"My mom took my sister to dance, and my dad works late on Sundays." Jake said locking his door just in case.

They all took a seat in Jake's room. Rose sat by Jake on his bed. Sam and Nigel sat on Rose's bed, Trixie grabbed the chair by the desk leaving spud with a small ottoman. Besides Rose and Nigel they each had a shotglass and the tequila bottle was set on the desk.

"Who goes first?" Trixie asked.

"It was my idea. So me." Sam said.

"Okay." Trixie said.

"Jake, truth or dare?" Sam asked.

"I knew you'd pick Jake." Rose said.

"I know you're picking Nigel." Sam said.

"You are correct." Rose laughed.

"Truth." Jake said.

"Really Jake?" Rose laughed.

"What's your favorite sex position?" Sam asked.

Nigel and Spud laughed. Trixie rolled her eyes. Rose gave Jake a look that said you better take the shot.

"You set me up for failure you know your sister will kill me if I answer that." Jake said although he was laughing.

"Here ya' go." Trixie said, sliding Jake the bottle. He poured a shot and drank it.

"Your turn Sam." Jake said.

"Let me guess, you pick me." Sam said.

Jake poured another shot. Giving it to Sam.

"You'll need this." He said.

"Dare." Sam said.

"Good. I want you and Trix to kiss." Jake laughed.

Nigel looked shocked. "You seriously aren't going to humor him are you Sam?"

"I'm not scared." She said.

"Really? Awesome!" Spud said.

"A quick peck. That's it." Trixie said.

She leaned in to kiss Sam. It wasn't either of theirs first kiss, but it was both of of their first kiss with a girl. What was supposed to be a quick peck, turned into a make-out session between the two. The boys, including Nigel now, were watching intently cheering them on. Rose was laughing at her sisters antics. She'd rather her kiss Trixie than her or Jake...plus if circumstances were different, they'd make a cute couple. She thought.

The two pulled away, smiling.

"That was the best quick peck I've ever had." Sam whispered.

She gave Jake a smirk and gave the shot back to Jake.

"Drink up Jakey, can't have good alcohol going to waste." Trixie laughed.

"No. No we can't." Jake said shrugging.

Nigel, you're up. Who do you pick?" Sam asked.

"I guess Spud." Nigel said.

"AWESOME!" Spud yelled.

"And you're excited about this because?" Nigel asked.

"I'm not picked last!" Spud said, like it was obvious.

"Ah...I see. Anyways, I guess I should say truth or dare now correct?" Nigel asked.

"Correct. And how about a truth?" Spud asked.

"Uh...Sam?" Nigel asked.

She whispered something into his ear. He chuckled and shook his head.

"Yes! It's a good truth." Sam said.

"It's an embarrassing truth." Nigel said.

"That's the point of this game." Rose said laughing.

"Fine, Spud are you a virgin?" Nigel asked.

"NO! I do NOT want to know that!" Trixie said.

Spud sighed. "Alas, Trixie. Fear not. For I Spud am a virgin. I know it's hard to believe-but it's true." Spud said.

"It's honestly not that hard to believe." Jake said.

"You don't date much." Trixie said.

"Nigel's right. This was embarrassing." Spud said.

"If it helps Nigel's a virgin too." Sam said.

"SAMANTHA!" Nigel yelled, using her full name.

"Oh my god. Sorry! Sorry! I didn't mean to tell everyone." She said.

"You are too lovely. The only people in this room who aren't virgins are Jake and Rose...unless Trixie has done something with Kyle." Nigel said.

"This isn't my turn, but no. We haven't. We're only thirteen. No one does it at thirteen." Trixie said.

"Jake and Rose do." Sam said.

"OKAY! Next?" Rose asked, ending that conversation.

"That would be you." Sam said.

"I call Rose! Truth or dare?" Trixie asked.

"Truth. I don't feel like doing a dare right now." Rose said.

"Do you want the babies to look more like you or like Jake?" Trixie asked.

"Well, Iwant them to have features from both of us. I want them to have Jake's nose. I want them to have mine and Sam's blue eyes. I'll love them no matter what they look like!" Rose said excitedly.

"I want them to have your eyes too. What's up with the nose though?" Jake asked.

"You have a cute nose, it's not too big not too small. Mine is too narrow." Rose said.

"You're perfect." Jake said, kissing her cheek.

"I need a shot to drown out all this pillowtalk." Spud said.

"Same." Sam said.

"I think it's sweet." Nigel said.

"You know what, on second thought it's really sweet." Sam said. Rose rolled her eyes.

"I still want a shot...or two." Spud said.

He took the bottle and downed two shots.

"Spud be careful. You're a lightweight." Jake said.

"So is Sam." Rose laughed.

"Whose turn is it?" Spud asked.

"Yours." Trixie said.

"Nigel! Truth or dare?" He asked.

"Dare. I guess...and don't dare me to kiss anyone." Nigel said.

"I dare you to... act out your last hookup." Spud said.

"May I use Sam as my partner?" He asked.

"You may."

"Sam?" He asked.

"Hallway, today." She smiled.

"You two hooked up in the hallway of our house and dad didn't see you?" Rose said.

"He was out. Nigel just appeared, and we just kissed...for a really long time. However, for game purposes we'll make it about a minute." Sam said.

"You kissed Trixie longer than a minute." Nigel said.

"True. You did."

"Fine. Two. No way I kissed her longer than two minutes." Sam said.

"Actually you two made out for like five minutes." Jake said. His words were slurred. He had been drinking more. Trixie slid the bottle away from him.

"Do my dare!" Spud said.

"Lovely?" Nigel asked.

"Yes." She said, and kissed Nigel.

Jake looked at Rose. She looked slightly amused, but wasn't surprised when the two minute mark hit and Rose stopped them.

"I think it's Trixie's turn. Trixie, truth or dare?" She asked.

"Truth."

Jake whispered a vulgar truth in her ear and she shook her head. Unlike Nigel she knew how to say no.

"Trixie, do you like me better now or before I moved to Japan?" Rose asked.

"I like you better now. I didn't know you very well before you moved. You were just Jake's girlfriend who was also the huntsgirl. Now you're someone I can call a friend. I like that." Trixie said.

"I like it too." Rose said.

"Back to Sam." Jake said.

"This time I take truth." Sam said.

"What do you find most attractive about me. What do you find the least bit attractive about me?" Jake asked.

"Most attractive, the way you move. You're an amazing dancer, and when you walk you have this confidence I find really attractive in guys. Unnatractive-nothing really. If I had to pick something it would be how busy you are." Sam said.

"Do you like the way Nigel moves?" Jake asked.

"I'm with him aren't I?" Sam laughed. She shook her head and took a shot.

Truth be told she was a little jealous of her sister. Nigel was great, but he had more in common with her sister than her. She was attracted to him sure, but he was cellabate and he was very proper. It's really no wonder her dad liked him. He was the perfect gentleman. He was perfect.

And that's what got on Sam's nerves. She should be happy right? She had the perfect boyfriend, and a fairytale relationship. She is happy. She decided. She smiled, kissed Nigel's cheek and took another shot.

The kiss with Trixie was nothing short of amazing. If this wasn't a game, she'd think Trixie had real feelings for her. It was probably the best kiss she's ever had...a threesome with Trixie and Nigel. That would be perfect. She'd never go near Jake. He was her sisters boyfriend and the father of her future niece and nephew.

"Truth or dare Jake?" She asked.

"Dare." Jake said.

"I dare you to take five more shots."

"Sam, he's already been drinking a lot." Rose said.

"He can handle it. Can't you Jake?" Sam asked.

"You know I can!" Jake said. Trixie poured the shots for him.

"One." Everyone counted as Jake downed the first shot.

"Two."

"Three."

"Four."

"FIVE!" They all cheered.

Jake laughed. He looked around the room, it was starting to become blurry.

One more round through and Sam had to drink, Rose paid Trixie twenty dollars, and Spud was finishing the game with his shirt off.

Two more rounds through, and Sam and Jake were so far gone that they had to call the game quits. Spud was buzzed. Trixie, Nigel, and Rose were the only coherent ones. The room smelled like alcohol.

"Jake you're about to pass out. Lay down." Rose said., "Nigel, get Sam home. I texted my mom to tell her Sam would be late since she was with me, so no one will be waiting up when you get there. If you get caught bringing her home drunk, you're never going to be able to see her again. So be careful and quiet. Sam keeps her key in her purse." Rose said.

Nigel nodded. "No problem. I don't need a key. I can get us there by magic." Nigel said.

"Any chance you could use some of that magic to get us home too?" Trixie asked, about her and Spud.

"Yes. Just be quiet. I'm dropping sleeping beauty off first." Nigel said, about Sam. He was holding her in his arms and she was holding onto him in her sleep.

"You got it." Trixie said.

"Sure thing bro." Spud said.

"Bye guys." Jake mumbled. Barely awake.

They said their goodbye's- except for Sam who was asleep and left.

Rose sat beside Jake. "I'm going to go take a shower. Goodnight." She said, kissing Jake lightly before going to shower.

Tomorrow morning is going to be fun. She thought.
