"Well, this isn't quite what I expected?" Tony muttered.

"Hello Jenny, it's been a long time," Rene smirked at her.

"You did this," Tim accused Tony.

"Kind of… You're awful at undercover McGee."

"You really are," Rene added. "I could tell the instant I met you." He looked at Tony. "You, on the other hand, a very interesting."

"Not interested. I was worried about you, Tim. The whole dentist thing, I knew you and the director were lying. It concerned me that this basic bit of information wasn't sorted out between the two of you. When I realised you had no back-up, it became serious and dangerous."

"Why would someone undercover need to get to know me?" Jeanne asked.

"It didn't occur to ask your father why he knew about NCIS and how he knew someone was undercover?" Tony knew how hard it was to see a parent in a negative light. Well, not him. He knew how crappy senior was. Some parents and their children had a close relationship.

"Father?"

"My darling daughter, I had to show you that people would use you. I don't know if this is the first one to try. I just wanted you aware of new people you meet," Rene reached out a hand to her.

She took a step back. "What do you do? Wait. I don't want to know." Jeanne ran over to the elevator and jabbed at the button.

Her father followed at a leisurely pace. Not worried that she had learnt he wasn't into legal things.

"You're jealous," McGee yelled.

Tony signed. "You sound like a broken record. You're not good at everything. No one is. Learn how to take constructive criticisms and improve. Don't blame others for your mistakes."

"Agent DiNozzo, I'm going to get you fired for this," Jenny asserted.

"No, you won't." Leon stepped forward.

"I'm interested in how you'd fire me for telling about an unsanctioned op?"

"Unsanctioned?" McGee repeated.

McKay sighed. "Yes, that's what Tony was saying and why he was worried about your safety."

"I thought the director trusted me enough to do it alone." McGee looked around, confused.

"You're do understand the reason for back-up, right?"

"Look, Tony, Ziva and I were tired of your voice. We knew that you'd be safe. I don't know why you had to tell people and keep on," McGee snapped.

"Agent DiNozzo didn't tell anyone. He should've reported it, though," Leon added.

"You didn't?"

"No, Tim and my point is back up is there in case something happens. We never know what's going to go on when we get out there. Any mission you should have back-up. You have no experience in undercover, and you were lucky that he didn't think you were a danger," Tony glanced over to the elevators, but the Benoit's had left. "If he thought you were a danger, you could be dead, and no one would've known."

"Well said, Agent DiNozzo. I've looked at your file. Well, the part I have clearance to see. We're fortunate Gibbs found you, and it seems the two of you and Ms Sciuto are missed."

"We're doing fine without them," Jenny snapped.

"You're MCRT needs work. One of two things needs to happen. The first find someone who has a more direct personality than Burley, also let consequences stand. It seems as Ziva and McGee get away with things they shouldn't. The second is you keep Burley and get him, agents who know and follow things like the chain of command," Gibbs clarified.

"It's good to see you, Gibbs."

"You too, Leon."

"You are correct, Gibbs. Ms Shepard is no longer director and will no longer be a part of NCIS. We just have to find out if she's going to be arrested or retired," Leon started to explain. He usually wouldn't do this in public. But he needed to make things clear that the things people had been getting away with no longer would.

"You can't do this." Jenny screeched.

"Yes, I can, and I am. We have also decided to end the liaison position. We've noticed since Gibbs and DiNozzo left confidential information has been sent to Mossad."

Two officers had arrived to take Ziva into custody. Before they got to her, she pulled out her gun and fired at Tony. But in the panic, her aim was off and hit him in the shoulder. Ronon was on her in an instant and took her down.

"McGee, I told you to make sure Ziva was unarmed. You'd said you'd done it," Tony groaned.

Gibbs had knelt next to him and put pressure on the wound.

"I was busy. I was going to do it," McGee whined.

"An ambulance is on its way," Leon looked at McGee. "Agent McGee, with this and the turning off the radio, IA are going to have to look into you. They'll want to know if you have done this before and ignore any other rules we have here at NCIS. IF, that's a big IF, you get to come back you'll be back in cyber-crimes."

"But why?"

"Because you don't back-up other agents. You're reasons why their voice annoyed you, and you were too busy, "Leon wasn't sure why McGee wasn't getting this.

"I would be there for other people. This," He waved his hand at Tony on the ground. "It's just Tony."

"Excuse me?" Leon couldn't believe it. How dare he choose who he backs up and who he doesn't?

"That is not a choice you make. You back up anyone you're told to and to the best of your ability." Leon was livid. What the hell had Shepard let go on around here while she worked on her revenge. Things were a lot worse than he thought. He was glad DiNozzo had brought things to light. "Agent McGee, please leave your badge and gun. You're under IA investigation."

"You can't do this. You're not the director." Tim argued.

"I am the temporary director until further notice."

"I can leave. I'm fine," Tony complained.

"Stay there. We can't do anything at the moment anyway,"' Gibbs kissed him on the lips. "You'll always have someone with you until you can get out. We don't know what Ziva has told anyone. John and Ronon are getting some rest as they'll take over from me."

"I'm glad you're here."

"I love you, Tony. There's nowhere else I would be."

"I love you too. Hell of a day," Tony laughed and then winced as his shoulder moved.

"Take it easy." Gibbs ran his fingers through his lover's hair. "I bet you never expected any of this to happen?"

"The jenny bit, of course. There was no way they could wait on that. McGee's blaming me, yep knew that was coming. I should've never trusted him to disarm Ziva."

"You wanted to give him a chance, and you had limited choices. Ziva wouldn't have let that many people close enough to be able to disarm her."

"I know, but, well, it's all done. I never expected the Benoit's or for Ziva to snap. This would make a great soap opera episode."

Rene watched as his daughter closed her door on him. He loved her but not knowing she'd become a liability. One day Jeanne might come back into his life. But at least he was safe from people using her to get to him. He turned away and smiled. It was time he left. He had business contracts to fulfil.

Kort watched as Benoit left. He'd found all about Anthony DiNozzo Junior. He would' we definitely had skills at undercover. He answered his cell as soon as it rang.

"No, it's a failure. You can blame former Director Jenny Shepard. She had an unsanctioned op with an agent who had no experience undercover. Benoit became paranoid. We're going to have to wait. Yeah, I know this had been years in the making. We could've taken him down."

As soon as the call had finished, he put his cell in his pocket. It was time to rest and then onto his next mission.

Leon rubbed his head. It was starting to pound. Shepard had let things go, really go. It looked like that she was doing the absolute minimum. This Benoit thing had been planned for a long time. Tony had been her first choice. She'd written a diary on her computer. It was mostly about her revenge and her obsession with Gibbs.

All these complaints, things that agents had gotten away with. This was going to take time to sort out. His first job was to get new agents for the MCRT. He could also judge if Burley was suitable for the position. Leon started going through files of agents that could possibly work.

Ziva, McGee and Jenny looked at each other.

"What's going on?" Jenny demanded.

"You'll see," Rivkin walked forward, a smirk on his face.

"Michael?" Ziva asked.

Three other people walked over to them. Their eyes flasher briefly and they fell to the ground.

Ziva, McGee and Jenny's eyes flashed. The alien entities had found some new homes.
