With talks having broken down between them the forces of Robotnik and the forces of Mega Central were now at odds with each other. Colin Kintobor was known as being part of the house of Ivo along with being a high ranking general of the Overlander army during the Great War. However, he was not remembered as great nor as fondly by all Overlander as one might think though. His younger brother might be infamous and even considered a traitor to his own kind for his actions against them. Those were during the Great War and afterward but in reality, Colin was not viewed that much different either in the opinions of many.

Both brothers were viewed as those that ran after all. They both did run it just where they ran to that differ though. Robotnik ran to the mobians and then betrayed them becoming the tyrant he was today. While Colin ran from them to space and seemingly returned with his tail between his leg having nowhere to go. Though why was he viewed negatively amongst the Overlander of Mega Central it was mostly because he ran away with his people and those that he let come with him after all. Was this his intent to save just those directly around him was unknown but this was a major factor in why they were fighting against Colin that came back and joined his younger brother? He and his group left the planet without at least trying to make it so all Overlanders could come with them so why expect all Overlanders to side with him now that he was working with the tyrant that trying to fully conquer Mobius.

Though the battle was drawn out seeing despite the bulk of Colin's forces being robots. Their numbers were seemingly endless as they just kept coming and coming with the robians being held back to a place where there were no techomages thus normal fodder bots were being used to keep them pinned down where they could. Creating a stalemate where neither side was able to overcome the other since they were both being kept in check this way after all.

There was a member of the defense group for controlling robots and machines from afar. Attacking the enemy or using them to destroy supplies or take out various things behind enemy lines. This was a young acolyte named Regina Ferrum who was possibly the youngest member of this group at around ten to fourteen(her parents being on the frontline to prevent their craft had been outlawed thus her birth was delayed. They were too busy with that at the time). Her skills as magitek were slightly above others her age and rather than doing what they were in this fight. Even though magitek had been openly studied by those interested know in Mega Central.

This Regina just met the cutoff point for those that were allowed on the battlefront. She was not allowed to fight on the frontlines per se but she did take part in various dangerous missions though rarely. One where she would rarely run into anyone organic during them. Those types of missions were given to those older and more experienced than her. She could handle herself against seemingly any non-organic foe but that was not the case otherwise. While she was a genius but amongst other geniuses in general she was merely level one. She had the skills but not the experience nor the knowledge to handle true magitek combat against Overlander or Mobian.

However, some thought Regina should be doing more than she was for someone as talented as her despite her age. Though those voices were silenced most time by the ones leading the squad she was currently a part of.

"Ummm...greeting commander are you okay," Regina asked as she had just come back from recon mission they had given her

Her superior looked troubled as they were reading before him.

"Ms. Ferrum is that how you are supposed to greet your superior officer," their vice commander said "though since it just the three of us, we can let that slide once right, dear"

"Seriously though this is not funny. What are those people thinking" they said

Regina's superior office were her own parents who after working to prevent their craft from becoming outlawed. Join the task force that was in charge of defending the city itself though more the interior than exterior though. However, timing result in them now watching over the borders of the city along with doing various recon and small hit & run tactics as well.

Although the two sides had been in a stalemate all this time that was changing when a string of bad luck lead to them losing several battles. Nothing that serious but apparently it was enough that leaders of Mega Central decide that this fight was not worth it anymore and it was time to settle.

"It all started when this one robot appeared on their side though we barely managed to catch wind of its existence though," Regina's father/commander said.

The one robot, although they could not have known this was none other than Mecha Cream who was wearing her armor suit thus her true appearance, was hidden underneath it.

"Did you relay this to the higher up?" his vice commander/wife asked him

"Of course but they did not believe me as they did not think that one mere robot could break the stalemate that we had been in until now though," he said with a sigh

"Then my recon mission," Regina asked curiously

"Seem you might have found something as we need to know what it is. They are up to something and we need to know what it is before it becomes too late" her father said

Settling things did not seem right with him as Robotnik and his forces were trying to fully conquer the world. Though it was just Mobians, Robotnik went about roboticizing everyone that opposed him. They were clearly a threat to him and his empire thus why he tried to get them on their side using his older brother yet that failed. He was not viewed that much more highly than his younger brother in Mega Central after all. Though leadership at first seemed pretty against joining either of them thus the fighting that was taking place however now things were changing though. However, if they were for the better or worse Regina nor her family were sure about this though.
