Of all the consequences of forging his transcripts, being kidnapped by Salem, Queen of the Grimm was not one Jaune Arc expected. Then again, she probably hadn't expected that the act might lead to her being "cured" of her Grimm affliction, either. Suddenly human and no longer in charge of her own Grimm, Salem will be damned if this idiot doesn't take responsibility.

Victory can prove bitter, especially when you're the only one alive to see it. With the world in chaos and everyone he ever loved dead, Jaune Arc makes a deal with the devil for one last chance to go back and change it all. But devils don't play by the same rules as humans, and Salem never did say how far back he'd go. Or how much deeper the war between her and Ozpin really went.

Hindsight is 20-20, so I wanted to see what RWBY would look like with some more hindsight put into the writing.

Jaune wanted nothing more than to become a hero – and in a way he got his wish. One man's criminal is another's hero and the faunus of Remnant need a champion. Their first year at Beacon is complete, and summer is breaking teams apart. Some students will come back changed, none more than Jaune Arc. Training with a mysterious figure he refuses to name, Jaune has added to his arsenal as a Huntsman, and a person. It remains to be seen what he will do with these new weapons. Jaune Arc succumbed to an explosion that was a mixture of feline DNA and Dust—Nora's fault—and it ended up turning him into an extinct Faunus. One wanted to recruit him. The other wanted to help.

The end of year exams are coming up, and Jaune couldn't be more screwed. He can't study like everyone else and is likely doomed to repeat them later in the year. That is until he hears Glynda Goodwitch is marking them. With no other options left, he realises he must seduce her so she can boost his grades for him.
