*POV: Aedon Wynne
As I took off from the group I could feel everyone's eyes on my back but I couldn't look back. We didn't have the time for anything but movement and killing. As soon as I was around the corner and out of their view I radio'd the Salarian from early and told him where to go. He said he'd be there in 10 and I just had to hope he would be faster than that.
Every step I took running back towards Ashley I could feel my wrist with the coins get heavier and heavier with an intensifying heat coming from them. That is, until I was just about to enter the area with Ashley again. Then the feeling was gone in the blink of an eye.
Giving my wrist a sparing glance I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary except for one of the coins burning a bright white. Still, I didn't touch them and instead went through the door and was greeted by 8 geth looking right at me and no cover.
Faster than I thought I could possibly move I had ripped my bandolier off and threw it into the middle of the geth with all the grenades armed. The resulting explosion knocked me off my feet but killed all the geth that greeted me. That wasn't the end of them as more just kept pouring around me. I desperately ran to the bomb and where Ashley was taking shots the whole way.
As I made it there my shields broke and I felt one bullet hit my calf and another graze my side. Though, I got into cover with just enough time to spare so I didn't get slaughtered. Letting my shields recharge I made eye contact with Ashley; she gave me a smile and a nod. Both of them I returned even though she couldn't see me smile.
"Should've gone with Shepard," she said as she popped out of cover and took a couple pot shots at the geth.
"No man left behind. If we are to die, we die fighting." and with that our talking was done.
Readying an overload I got out of cover and fired it at a group of bunched up Geth. It was just enough to fuck them up and I opened fire with my gun on full auto ripping 2 of them to shreds before the other 2 poured fire into me. I didn't stop firing though and let my shield take the brunt of the damage as I took out another geth before going back into cover.
They didn't bunch up after that and spread out like flies. Everywhere you looked there was one coming at you. There was no other way to kill them than to go into the open and get hit. The sheer amount of overloads and sabotages I was using was straining my omni-tool to the brink of destruction as I worked. Bursts of 5 rounds everywhere.
It didn't seem to work at all though as for every geth that I killed another two replaced it and they kept coming. Like a never ending stream of death they kept coming and eventually they would be in melee range. When they got there I don't know how it would go.
It got a whole lot worse the next second as I heard a scream and a splash next to me. Getting back into cover I saw Ashley holding onto her stomach as blood was seeping through her hands. Moving her hands I saw that she had received a gut shot. It seemed that her armor caught most of it but she needed medical attention immediately. Not only that but she was definitely out of this fight.
Reaching down to her side I grabbed her pistol and handed it to her. She nodded in silence and prepared to defend herself as best as she could. Peeping around the bomb we used as cover I got to see a geth right in front of me with a raised rifle.
Reacting on instant I got behind cover just in time to dodge its shots and when it moved to get around the bomb I activated my torch and charged. Grabbing onto the rifle with my right hand I shoved the superheated omni construct right into the geths eye. It screamed in a mechanical voice and then dropped dead. Its head melted from the heat of the torch.
"Burn you fucking Heretics!" I shouted out and honestly, I've always wanted to say that.
I got my answer by a rocket exploding right in front of me sending me into and over the bomb from the force. It wasn't fun and getting up I got pelted by the geth and their guns. They ripped my shields apart and I barely got into cover before it killed me. Still, I took another shot to the shoulder and another grazed my left thigh.
Getting into cover behind the bomb again I let my shields charge up once more before I popped up to take another shot. Never got the chance to though as a grenade landed just a foot to my left. Seeing it I dived on Ashley to protect her. When it went off I felt the shrapnel pelt into my back. None of the shrapnel penetrated but the shockwave from being only a few feet from it rung my bell and fucked up my insides.
I could feel myself internally bleeding as I stood up and groggily hefted my rifle to fire at the geth. The closest one to me received the full brunt of of 10 rounds to the face and died but it sacrificed itself for a cause as when it died a Juggernaut took its place running at me. I overloaded my omni-tool as it charged and hit it with 2 overloads and a sabotage but it was just a bit too late. It slammed into me and sent me sprawly backwards almost over the edge in the stream.
As I laid there on the ground and looked up at the sky I again felt my rosary start to burn in determination. Though it wasn't the only thing burning as I raised my left wrist and saw one of the coins burning bright white. The one that radiated stubbornness.
Grabbing it off my wrist I inspected the coin in shell shock as the sun seemed to gleam off it. It was nothing special as far as coins go but it radiated stubbornness and I just new I wasn't allowed to die here. The juggernaut seemed to have other plans though as it walked up to me and put a foot on my chest and pointed a gun down at my face.
In response I slammed the coin into my head and turned on my torch construct putting it through the geth's gun hand. That threw off its aim just enough for me to get my breaker pistol out and unload 8 quick shots into his eye. It died and fell backwards off me.
Standing up after I had killed the juggernaut I felt empowered. Like nothing and no one could stop me. The pain of my wounds was gone and the only thing to replace tem was righteous fury at this whole situation. I wasn't going to die to some fucking geth on Virmire. Not today, not to-fucking-day.
Omni-tool overcharge initiated Shields at 1000%. Overkill active
The message from Sam popped up on my inner mask but I paid it no mind. My anger was the only thing on my mind right now and these geth would feel it. Raising my rifle I held down the trigger as I walked forward going out of cover in a fit of idiocy but it didn't even register in my mind.
Everything the geth fired at me did nothing and even when a rocket hit me dead on I kept on walking forward keeping the trigger down as I kept firing at the geth. Every single one that came forward was killed by my hand and the few that tried to get close were met with my torch through their bodies.
Even still with me like that it wasn't enough. The geth just kept on coming and pushed me back to the bomb. I went willingly and then started to use the bomb as cover again as I kept on firing at the geth. No quarter, no mercy; either we die or they all die. No if ands or buts.
As more and more geth began to close in I kept up my firing until I got the worst sound I've ever heard. My gun clicked empty. Looking at it in dismay I put it on my back and whipped out the Breaker and kept up firing on the geth. They just kept going and before I knew it I could feel the gun start to heat up.
The explosive consequence of keeping it firing for too long reared its ugly head as I felt the gun start to shake in my hand. Knowing what was coming thanks to the warning from Frank all that time ago I chucked the gun at a juggernaut bearing down on me. It exploded right in the geths face eviscerating it.
Taking out my 1911 I activated my Torch construct and prepared for the bitter end. As one of the geth charged at us it was crushed by a geth transport landing on it and right in front of us. The side door opened after a second and the Salarian stood there. I have never felt such relief than I did in that moment.
"Time to go Ashley," I spoke as I looked down at her.
Getting a look at her she was barely conscious with her head lolling as she tried to stay awake. Leaning down I grabbed her and threw her over my shoulder and ran to the Salarian. Hopping in the transport I went to the front and strapped her into the co-pilot's seat. I went to the back and the Salarian got the transport up and started to fly away.
Not fast enough though as the geth laid into the ship and with how many there were they blew the back hatch open through sheer weight of fire. They also damaged one of the engines so we were now moving barely half as fast as we needed to be to get out of the bombs range.
Strapped into the seat in the back I held onto my rosary as we started moving away and prayed it was enough for us to be safe. Before anything else could happen though the Salarian came from the front. I cocked my head in curiosity as he locked the front door and then sat down in front of me.
"I can hear the voices." were his first words but before I could respond he handed me a pistol and looked at me expectantly. "Thank you for giving me a chance."
"You're welcome. Rest in peace," he nodded and then I put a bullet through his head.
I hung my head in disappointment and shame. Never got to revel in it though as the bomb went off and I saw the shockwave catching up with us as we flew up and made to get out of the atmosphere. It wasn't going to be fast enough.
As I saw it approach I could already start to feel the heat of the eezo radiation and then the world went white. Then it was black.
*POV: Wrex*
We watched the explosion from the on board deck from space. To say no one was in a happy mood would be an understatement. Heavy hearts all around and I could see Tali standing there stoically. She was hurting but wouldn't let it show, good girl.
Leaving the group I went to the cargo hold and got prepared to send Frank a message about the kid. I don't know what his reaction will be but it won't be good. Frank cared for him practically like a son. Anyone who bothered to look could see it even if Frank didn't want to admit it.
Sighing I sat down on my couch and began to make the message only to stop when Shepard stormed into the cargo bay with Dr. Chakwas along with the entire ground team. No one was saying anything but they began to set up something. I had no idea what it was.
When they were just about done setting up whatever it was. Tarps, and cordoned off the area with equipment I recognized. Radiation equipment and most put on radiation suits. Standing up I walked over to Shepard to ask what the hell was going on.
"Shepard?"
"They got on a ship. We can't read if they're alive or not but we're setting up the radiation protocols in case there's any lingering radiation. It should've dissipated once they got into space but we don't know."
"I'll get them if need be Shepard," he didn't respond verbally but just nodded his head and went back to the group.
He threw on a radiation suit along with everyone and strapped himself into the Mako. As did everyone else including me. Including the doctor who sat where the kid usually would. No one said anything as we heard the cargo bay doors open and Joker ease the Normandy into position.
Next thing I knew the cargo bay doors were closing back up and everyone was unstrapping themselves. Before anyone could get out though Shepard handed me a device. I didn't know what it was.
"Get out and check the radiation levels Wrex."
I nodded and got out. In front of me was a geth ship. Smaller than the usual ones and probably just used for in atmo troop transport. Wasn't a bad piece of machinery. Using the device I started to check the ship over for radiation. There was still some lingering but it was all below the indicated levels of danger. Not far enough to be moot for the others but they would have about an hour with their equipment on until they got into the danger zone.
"It's good Shepard," I spoke as I got back into the Mako and handed him the device.
He nodded and everyone got out. I went to get behind the ship and looked into the back through the torn open back hatch. I looked inside and saw the kid strapped in and motionless. His helmet none the worse for wear with the eye's flickering red. Just from how he was laying there I knew he was dead and from the strangled gasp behind me I guess Tali saw it.
Before I could walk in and get him the door to the front opened and Ashley stumbled out. Bleeding out of her stomach and barely standing. No one waited any longer and rushed in to help her. Shepard was the first one there and took her over his shoulder and brought her over to the doctor.
She started treatment immediately and got her onto a stretcher and into the elevator to get to the med bay. Liara, Garrus and Kaiden went with the doc, leaving the rest of us to look at the body of Wynne. Still strapped into the seat. Knowing the ship had been hit with the blast of radiation and the back hatch had been blown open there was no way the kid could've survived. That much radiation would kill anything even if they got out of the blast range which it seemed they did.
Shepard raised the device and it came back with a good level. Nothing that would harm anyone, guess it had gotten dissipated along with the rest of the radiation. Sighing I kneeled down in front of the body of the kid as the others hung around behind me.
As I looked at the kid I couldn't help but feel disappointed. When you've been around for as long I have you learn to recognize people and events that will change everything. It was the reason I followed Shepard, he is one of those people. However, the kid was one of them too. A person who could reshape the galaxy if they saw fit to do so.
Reaching forward I began to undo the straps that were keeping him in the seat only to stop when I saw his hand move and grab onto mine. Snapping my eyes up to look at the kid I was greeted with his helmet's eyes glowing dull red. Looking down at the hand he gave it a weak squeeze.
"Not… today," was all he got out.
His voice was ragged and broken. Ripping the straps off of him I grabbed him and hoisted him up in my arms. I could feel the blood of his wounds seep onto me as I quickly made my way to the elevator. The rest of the team was right on my heels as the elevator showed up.
Piling inside we went up it and made our way straight to the med bay. Rushing inside Chakwas was already working on Ashley while one of her assistants helped her. Seeing us rush inside with the kid's body in my arms. Her eyes widened for a second before they hardened and she pointed to one of the beds on the far end.
Putting the kid on the bed we got him out of his armor and it didn't look good. He had multiple gunshot wounds that were actively bleeding. Thankfully none were in vital area but the sheer number of them could be a problem, I counted 12. Not to mention that we could see him bruising in areas indicating he was bleeding internally. The only good sign looking at him was that he wasn't bleeding out of his nose or mouth so it wasn't that bad… yet.
As soon as he was out of his armor though the doctor told us to get out unless we were advanced in medical knowledge. Knowing none of us were, we left her to do her work. We didn't like it as we wanted to be with them but we weren't about to argue with her while she was actively trying to save two crew members.
*POV: Commander Shepard*
I made my report to the Council and they ordered us back to the Citadel. I wasn't particularly happy about that as I thought we should go after him right away but at least it seemed they were finally being serious. It looked like we were going to get an actual fleet together to go after the bastard.
Leaving the conference room I let out a deep sigh and went to my room. It had been a whole day since we left Virmire and we were now on our way to the Citadel. Diverting from chasing Saren and going home.
Ashley still hadn't woken up but from Dr. Chakwas it seemed that she was out of the worst of it for now. Wynne was a whole other case though. He had been hit with the brunt of the radiation while having open wounds and had internal bleeding. Everything about what had happened dictated that he should've died but he didn't. Instead, he was laying in the med-bay.
Dr. Chakwas didn't expect him to survive another hour when we brought him in yesterday but he hasn't died yet. Just seems to have no quit in him at all and every time she does something to help him he gets a little better each time. She told me this morning that he should be able to fully recover from his wounds within the week if he's left alone and with a liberal application of medi-gel.
I gave her the go-ahead to do what was needed to keep him above ground. It was there that she let me know that the radiation had seeped into him much like it did for people in biotics. Though, the amount he had been exposed to posed several major problems.
The first was that no person had ever survived that amount of eezo radiation before and we didn't know what would happen to him. It was almost guaranteed that he would get cancer, we just didn't know when. Other than that it was up to him now as the doc put it. If he was going to survive it was his choice. He definitely wasn't out of the woods like Ashley but he had a good chance.
No one really talked about them as we did our usual jobs and went about our usual chores and such. That being said, no one had even seen Tali outside of the engine room. And Wrex was almost as bad. He's been in the cargo hold cleaning and maintaining Wynne's equipment periodically. Hasn't slept either.
"Commander," came Joker's voice over the PA. "Ashley's awake."
"Thanks Joker."
I immediately made my way to the med bay. Along the way I saw Liara and Garrus and both joined me. Not long after the rest of the ground team did so and by the time I got to the med bay we were all together. Walking through the med bay doors we were greeted by Ashley sitting up in her bed. She flashed us a small pain filled smile.
"You look like shit," was all Wrex said to break the ice. She gave a chuckle before clutching her stomach.
"Don't make me laugh. Everything hurts."
"At least you're alive," I said, stepping forward and leveling a smile at her. "How did you guys get that geth ship?"
"Some Salarian. I think it was the quiet one from the cages. Wynne let him out I guess."
"Why?"
"He's paranoid," Liara said from behind me. "My guess is that he thought something like this would happen and chose to plan ahead as best he could."
"Impressive." was all Garrus had to say on the matter and we all agreed with him. Though, part of me registered that it didn't quite add up. For now, I was content that they were both alive and I wasn't about to question it further.
"Where was the Salarian then?" Tali asked
"Probably sucked out into space or didn't survive the blast. We'll have to ask Wynne when he wakes."
From there it was idle conversation with Ashley. Kinda hard when you're talking to someone about how they definitely should be dead but survived. It was hard to keep the conversation going and from the look in her eyes I could tell she was burning to tell us something but it wouldn't come out.
I was curious as to why that was as we continued to talk. Though once people started leaving I could see the small relief in her eyes, I guess she wanted to be alone to talk. One by one the others left to go do their duties until it was just Liara, Ashley, myself, Dr. Chakwas and an unconscious Wynne. Her eyes started shifting around looking every which way before she looked at me and motioned me forward.
Leaning forward towards her she leaned forward to my ear and whispered in it. I've heard a lot of stuff in my time in the military, as a grunt especially, but what she said was borderline insane. I gave her an incredulous look when she leaned back after saying what she did. When I continued to stare at her without saying anything she talked.
"I'm not crazy. I know what I saw," I looked to Dr. Chakwas for any type of explanation.
"Stress-induced hallucinations from an extreme situation and blood loss. Not unheard of."
"It wasn't a hallucination," Ashley snapped. "I know what I saw." Looking at Dr. Chakwas she sighed and nodded her head.
"It's not in the report and won't be."
"Good," I turned back to Ashley. "I wasn't there so I won't say anything more on the matter but you do not discuss this with anyone outside of this room. If you do, I can't protect you. You understand?"
"I do sir."
"Good. Now, get some rest Ashley. We still have about four more days until we get to the Citadel."
I patted her on the shoulder and gave her a small hug before leaving the medbay. Liara walked after me and followed me all the way back to my room. When I opened the door to go in she made to go in after me. I raised a confused eyebrow at her but she just looked at me expectantly and moved inside. Okay?
"What's up Liara?" I asked as she took my chair so I sat on the bed.
"What did Ashley tell you?" Okay, idle conversation. Why not? Most of my paperwork was done already and I didn't have anything else to do. I got up from the bed and walked over to her whispering what Ash had told me to her. I know it sounds weird to do that in my own room but the whole thing about it made me weird to even attempt to say it out loud. Like I wasn't allowed to at any other volume beside a whisper.
"Truly?" Liara asked as she gave me what could be best described as a skeptical and thoughtful look.
"That's what she says yes," I said, shrugging as I got her out of my chair and pointed her to the bed. The ghost of a smile appeared on her lips when I did that but disappeared as soon as I sat down in the chair once she was out of it. Wonder why? "Anything like that in Asari history?"
"Not for several thousand years. And when it's mentioned it's in old old texts."
"Well, could be worse I guess. Nothing to worry about, probably just a result of blood loss and the situation like Dr. Chakwas said."
"And if it's not?"
"That is a conversation neither of us are qualified to have," she gave me a small angelic chuckle at that.
"I guess so… Do you think Wynne will wake up before we get to the Citadel?"
"You trying to find out my bet Liara?" Yes, we already had a pool going on for when he'll wake up. Made it immediately after we found out it was up to him to wake up or not. No one's bet that he won't, both hope and respect for that. Still, the leading bet was 4 days after the trip began so exactly one day before we get to the Citadel. Mine was on the 3rd day, and I was the only one to bet that day.
"Please, I'm not that curious. Though, I am curious about what your plan is after this?"
"Saren you mean?"
"Yes."
"I don't know. Hadn't really thought of it to be honest. I guess I will just continue my work as a Spectre. Do what I can to make the galaxy a better place," I said shrugging my shoulders.
"You should come by Thessia when you get some time then. I'll show you around," I was pulling up some of the paperwork I was going to need to do later when she asked that so I didn't get to see how she acted while asking.
"I think I'd like that, Liara," I looked at her and gave her a bright smile and she returned it.
"Good," then she stood up and walked over to me. She put a hand on my chest and let it drag up and over my shoulder as she walked past me to the door. Stopping at the door she turned her head around.
"You know where to find me if you need me," and with that she left.
Wonder what that was about? Was she coming onto me? … Nah. She's just nice and besides, I've never been to Thessia. It would be nice to visit a place and actually enjoy it. I bet she knows a lot about her homeworld... I wonder if they have food trucks on Thessia?
*POV: AedTorchbearer*
"No."
"Yes."
"NO."
"YES."
"No."
"Responsibility."
"No."
"Yes."
And with that my much deserved nap time was cut short and I woke up. Opening my eyes I was greeted with the white ceiling of the med bay and loud talking a couple feet from me. Actually, it wasn't talking, it was bordering on shouting. Now, I usually wouldn't care but I currently had a pounding headache and my whole body hurt.
The main problem with this whole situation is that my throat was so dry I could barely form words. Then there was the fact that I couldn't remember the word I wanted to say in english. I could remember it in spanish though so that's what I went with.
"Cállate," the word was barely more than a whisper but I sucked it up and tried it again. "Cállate!" It sounded and felt like my throat was full of sandpaper. Alright, they were full on shouting now, one last try.
"CÁLLATE!" That finally got them as they all shut up. Whoever they were… Oh, yeah. Cállate means shut up. There we go.
My immediate answer to the silence was the quick movement of feet and Dr. Chakwas appeared in front of me. She immediately set to work on doing some diagnostics but thankfully gave me water for me to drink while she did that.
It helped ease the pain in my throat but did nothing for the pain all over my body. What did it for that was when she shot me full of painkillers, I was feeling pretty tingly after that. After the painkillers came the medi-gel, it wasn't a cure all but it was making everything better. All I can really ask for at the moment to be honest.
"So, what's the diagnosis doc?"
"Bed rest for at least a week. No, complaining young man."
"I don't think I could do anything even if I wanted to doc… What else? I know you aren't telling me everything," she stared hard at me for a few seconds before letting out a deep breath and speaking.
"With the amount of Element Zero you were exposed to cancer is a near guarantee. It could happen tomorrow, a week from now, a month, a year; I don't know but it will happen. There is no doubt in my mind. I suggest monthly check ups," that was a lot to digest but honestly I wasn't surprised. I basically took a nuke to the face, even if we were at the edge of the blast zone that was expected.
"Anything else doc?"
"No one's ever been exposed to that amount of Element Zero before. I'd love to do some in-depth tests to find out what else it affected but we don't exactly have the time for that. Your whole cellular structure could have changed. We simply don't know."
"Any good news in there doc? Getting a bit morbid on me here," she gave me a small smile at my half-assed joke.
"Your kids, if you have any, will be incredibly powerful biotics."
"And me?"
"Who knows. Like I said, no one's ever been exposed to that amount of Element Eezo and survived until you came along," after that I was eager to change the conversation.
"What was that argument about?" she gave me a curious look for a second before I continued. "The shouting I mean?"
"Miss Williams is being uncooperative."
"Why?"
"She doesn't want the meds. Refuses to allow me to treat her," Well I didn't think that would happen with Ashley.
"Ashley, take the meds," I said, raising my voice a little above normal just in case I hurt it again.
"... Fine."
"That actually worked?" I asked Dr. Chakwas incredulously. She looked not as surprised as I thought she would be.
"Seems so young man."
I didn't get to think much about it as at that moment the entirety of the ground team came through the med bay doors. I was not prepared for the amount of questions and concerns they sent my way. It was nice don't get me wrong but my throat couldn't handle that much talking at the moment.
Dr. Chakwas, saint that she was, saw this about 5 minutes in and got everyone to settle down. After that some of them gave me their well wishes and told me to get better for the next mission. The ones who decided to stay for a bit were Shepard, Liara, Tali and Wrex.
Shepard and Liara stayed and talked to me for a bit and a lot of it was talking about the next step of the mission and how the council was going to help us out. I knew that wasn't the case but I didn't voice my concerns. It should've been obvious to Shepard though, the Council didn't give two shits about anyone but themselves, that needed to change.
After they were done talking to me they left, leaving Tali and Wrex behind. Wrex would give me an official invite to Tuchanka when he fixed it up saying that anyone who could survive what I did was an honorary Krogan already. We talked some shit to each other for a couple of minutes while Tali watched with amusement but finally he left. Leaving only Tali and myself.
"Next time you decide to do something suicidal, I'm coming with you," she stared at me dead in the eyes as she spoke.
"You might never leave my side then?" I leveled a smile at her and she sent one right back, well as far as I could tell she did. "Make any progress on our pet project?"
"Just theories and rough sketches still. If we want to get any actual progress we need a facility for testing."
"Something we won't get here or any time soon."
"Nope," she popped the 'p' when she said it.
"Then let's focus on what's to come. How long until we get back to the Citadel? Shepard never said when," I could feel my eyes start to get heavy as I spoke.
"2 days."
"Miss Zorah, I'm going to have to ask you to leave. The patient needs rest now," Dr. Chakwas cut in looking at Tali expectantly. She stood up and nodded before leaning over and giving me a soft hug and leaving. I passed out not long after that.
Looking back at Virmire now it wasn't that bad considering everything that we would face after that event. It would haunt my dreams for a few years but when the war began it became my bastion to hold onto. For I would always looked back at Virmire with hope and determination.
Not for the silly notion that if we could survive Virmire we could survive anything but because of what I saw there. What I saw in Shepard when he left Ashley and fought Saren to a near standstill all on his own with nothing but a combat knife and skill as we kept the geth off him. Then in Wynne as he fought a literal hoard of geth protecting a wounded Williams and not only survived but got both of them out of there alive. I looked back at Virmire because I knew that if everyone could emulate even a fraction of their determination and stubbornness we had a chance.
As for what Ashley saw there I didn't believe her and neither did Shepard at that time. We both agreed that it was just a hallucination from the situation and blood loss. However, after Shepard came back from his suicide mission he would swear up and down that he saw it too and that Ashley wasn't crazy. I again didn't believe him at the time as the truth was so far out of my depth. Though, when the battle of Earth came around I would become a believer.
Soon after Virmire we had the Citadel and everyone knows what happened there. It's one of the most documented events ever before the start of the Reaper War. And resulted in me becoming near terrified of humans and would lead to a lot of lesser-known events down the line. Still, if I had found out what Wynne did after the Citadel before I reunited with Shepard I would've become terrified of humanity.
As a side note on the way back to the Citadel after Virmire, we would all discover that Wynne was a rather gifted sketch artist.
