One important thing people should take into account: I always give Hermione a tough time but she never dies in my stories, far worthier characters deserves that. I like her with Death Eaters/Slytherin's - As the name suggests, I am a big Slytherin fan (well of two particular ones at least) and a certain bushy haired, bright eyed lioness.

What I dislike reading

Molly Weasley rocks! I do not read, and especially write, Molly!Ginny bashing. Molly is a mother hen, she would not despise Hermione - I lose interest in fanfics where Ron is mistreating Hermione and breaks her heart and Molly takes Ron's side. She would not be impressed with such actions and, in my mind, would much rather fight Hermione's corner! This is a woman who blasted Bellatrix Lestrange for hurting children. She would have been informed of Hermione's torture under her wand, in the movies, her knife and how can anyone bash Molly after that? Molly fussed over the children hunting for the Horcruxes. Hermione included.

Harry and Ginny probably rock the headboards enough. I stop reading a fanfiction if they are not together or; Ginny is possessive, jealous, vindictive, especially towards Hermione, show me where she hates Hermione that much in the novels? Direct Ginny's venom to Cho Chang whom she has shown disgust for in the books.

PRETTY Snape. To me Professor Snape had a hard life. He was beaten by his father, neglected by his mother, barely ate enough to keep a bird alive. Bullied by the Marauders, dumped by his best friend. Became a Death Eater - Information killed best friend, became double agent for two very exacting masters - HE IS NOT GOING TO BE YOUNG looking. He will be craggy, old before his time, and bone weary. So, no pretty Snape, keep him the way the films portrayed him - please!

Remus and Dora should have survived, Snape should have too. Because Remus could then have apologised to Snape for not putting a stop to his jerk friends not to treat Severus that way. So I hate reading fics where Remus and Snape survive and their hatred is as fresh as ever. I see them actually bonding after the war - I guess I sort of BROTP them in a way.

Sirius Black was a moron! He was practically Draco Malfoy and I feel that is a disservice to Draco. He only got away with it because he wore red and gold instead of green and silver. That included attempted murder, people - an attack on a fellow student's life was laughed off as a Prank by the Headmaster himself! If that is not self-entitlement I do not know what is. James Potter only saved Severus life to protect his friend, not because he secretly liked Snape in any way. I do not read or write Marauder centric fics. I can list several better characters I would rather my children, if I had any, to aspire to: Neville Longbottom, Luna Lovegood, Hermione Granger, Ginny Weasley, Fleur Weasley, Minerva McGonnagall - even Draco Malfoy turned out alright in the end and raised his own son to treat everybody as equals. Could not say the same for Sirius!

I can sort of understand Remus reluctance to step in but he was supposed to be in the BRAVE house - and it was always four against One! How fair is that?

Harry Potter/Ginny Weasley - they are perfect for each other and they are so cute together I cannot separate them. I could go into many reasons why I adore these two but I feel that Ginny developed more as a character than Harry. She went from a girl who was so clumsy she placed her elbow in a butter dish because Harry distracted her, to a girl who was, essentially, Neville's Right Hand Witch in the rebellion against the Carrows and hid people. All while her idiot brother had essentially abandoned Harry and Hermione. THEN she fought tooth and nail against full-grown Death Eaters. Both were controlled by Tom Riddle and both are Quidditch mad with similar levels of intelligence. She understands right from the start that Harry hates being famous and even stood up to Draco Malfoy in Flourish and Blotts. Also, in HBP book it is she who launches herself at Harry, kissing him senseless, brave enough to finally take the Wizard of her dreams. Her doing that gave Harry a reason to live beyond the War! They are my cuties.

Molly Weasley/Arthur Weasley - separating these two would be akin to my own parents divorcing. I adore these two. How can anyone not love a couple when the man calls the woman 'his Mollywobbles?' Though I do sorta ship Molly with Lucius pre marriage.

Remus Lupin/Nymphadora Tonks - I love May/December relationships and this is the only one in the story.

Below is a list of characters I love with Hermione the most:

Severus Snape - because at 12 she was as intelligent as he was at 31. Also, we know he is not a Blood Supremacist so her bloodline would not matter to him, I also think he was secretly proud of her and offered Gryffindor House Points on the sly. It is my favourite head canon, every time he does so, it is in Lily's memory. Today is an auspicious day for JK ROWLING has actually apologised for killing Snape on twitter!

Lucius Malfoy - because of the fact that there is a slight Elizabeth Bennett/Mr Darcy feel about their relationship. I am so going to have to write Lucius jumping in a lake to cool his ardour for Hermione whilst wearing grey jodhpurs and a loose white tunic... sigh...

Theodore Nott - We do not know much about him, though the fact that he is a character that remains mostly quiet throughout the stories I think he is more pensive and he could, due to this, temper Hermione's more brash qualities.

Blaise Zabini - There is an air of Snape about him, only he would not be caught dead on a Marauder prank. We know he is extremely handsome, and mysterious. Hell, we do not know if he and Hermione had the odd passionate rumba in the corridor.

Tom Riddle Jr - Yep, time turner fics where she ends up with a dark, charming Tom gets me all excited.

Abraxas Malfoy - Lucius must have got his looks somewhere, right?

Kingsley Shacklebolt - Like with Blaise, the absolute epitome of tall, dark and drippingly gorgeous, he protected Hermione so well during the battle of the seven Potters, I was never so jealous of Hermione than I was in that moment.

Antonin Dolohov - the Deathly Hallows would have been so much better if Dolohov was the one chasing them due to an obsession with the little Witch.

Thorfinn Rowle - Guess I like her with Death Eaters eh?!

Rabastan Lestrange - we know little of him other than he helped big brother, his wife and Barty Crouch Jr, torture the Longbottoms into insanity. Yet, what if Azkaban had changed him, somewhat?

Rodolphus Lestrange - the semblance between Hermione and Bellatrix is just too good, even their wandcores are the same... so... yeah, if Magic decides on partnerships I can imagine that it would choose Rodolphus a mate with a similar wandcore to his first wife's.

Remus Lupin - I love the idea of Hermione being Moony's mate. Though I do adore Dora Tonks too much to write this situation I hope that others do.

People I would Pair Lily with

Severus Snape - JK Rowling said if Snape did not call her that word she would not have dated Potter at all. If he had his life to live over, he would have chosen Lily, therefore Gryffindor. They were the great romance that should have been. SNILY is my ultimate OTP!

Lucius Malfoy - I do not know if this has a ship name but I call it Lilius. The idea of these two sexy beings together, the green of her eyes, with the silver of is, is just too good an opportunity not to ship.

Tom Riddle JR - Yep, again. I was one of those that thought that he wanted to save Lily because she was his daughter... somehow, that would have given the character a bit more depth.

Regulus Black - who knows who it was that changed his mind on Muggleborns and the Dark Lord... I like to think Lily helped.

People who I would pair Ron with

Luna Lovegood - the Lion roaring, the faith she has in him; the way she would balance him out. I think Luna would have been a far better companion to Ron.

Lavender Brown - we know this girl would have tweated Won-Won Woniekins, perfectly well, she would have been the absolutely doting wife I feel Ron would have needed more.

People whom I would pair Draco with

Astoria Greengrass - I read the Pottermore information on her and she sounds like a boss! Draco would need a good hearted woman to love him after all his experiences with the Dark Lord.

Luna Lovegood - we do not know what she got up to when she was incarcerated; I like the idea of Draco slipping her extra bits of food.

Padma Patil - aside from sulking as one of dunderheaded duo's date in the Yule Ball we know little about her, aside from the fact that she is Ravenclaw (Not Gryffindor movie makers!) She is loyal to Dumbledore's Army even due to the pressure. She is a fighter, and she must be clever. All qualities that I feel the wife of Draco would need to possess.

SIDE PAIRINGS

Neville Longbottom/Daphne Greengrass - I looked up their names and they suit. So, aside from already decided pairings with Daphne, I will continue with these two.

Remus Lupin/Narcissa Malfoy - may write a Marriage Law with these two as a side pairing. Don't know who I'd pair Tonks with though; probably Charlie Weasley or Rabastan Lestrange.

Bellatrix Lestrange/Lord Voldemort - they are just a cute twisted pair of psychos.

I guess I treat Side Pairings the way I would with sweets and candy - mix em up and write what the muse tells me too.

Potential Crossover Hermione pairings:

King Jareth - Lucius lookylike or is Lucius a Jareth Lookylike? Does it matter, he would show Hermione her dreams.

Jack Sparrow - Captain Jack Sparrow and Hermione Granger tied to the mast saved by the swashbuckling jack-a-nape! Sighs...

Edmund Pevensie - Because he has that edge of darkness along with an equal level of intelligence that I feel he and Hermione would really get along with each other... maybe too well...

Marquis De Carabas - the actor that portrayed him in the 90s is the same actor I picture for Kingsley, so definitely a ship I may pursue a bit more. Got to read the book again, but he was a sly old thing. Definitely would have been in Slytherin. Sarcastic, enigmatic and absolutely one-hundred percent delicious!

The Tenth Doctor - Purely because the same actor played him that played Barty Crouch Jr.

Harry with anyone else other than Ginny.

Hermione Granger/Ron Weasley - just no. I cannot think of a single thing that would give these two a long and happy marriage.

Hermione Granger/Sirius Black - again... erm... no! I feel so akin to Hermione that pairing her with the character I loathe the most after Lord Voldemort, Albus Dumbledore, Dolores Umbridge and Cornelius Fudge, feels like a violation of myself.

James Potter/Lily Evans - Like with Hermione and Ron, Jily does absolutely nothing other than disgust me, in fact that pairing sets my hackles up more than Romione whom I can tolerate as a side-pairing at least. I think that if the Dark Lord had not killed them, they'd have ended up divorcing each other. I think of James as a self-entitled bullying prat who took what he wanted by smarmy smirks and preying on vulnerability. Lily clearly was not impressed with him at first. (Though I do wonder why she smiled when she saw her supposed best friend being bullied by a boy she seemed to have hated as much as Snape did.) My personal theory, (backed up by the author of the longest but best Snily out there: Obscura Nox Animae, explores Lily reviewing her reason for being with James and not choosing Severus... It is an incredible fic), is that James swooped in when Lily was vulnerable and told her sweet little charming lies to get her to go out with him. Another personal theory is that he only bullied Snape because he was jealous that Severus had Lily's friendship and he, rich and good at Quidditch Potter, did not... Do not get me started on the arrogance of Sirius Black or the cowardice of Peter Pettigrew. At least Remus had to become an adult through abandonment of his so-called friends, and being a Werewolf.
