Chapter 3: Start of a New Life (..or maybe a chaotic one)
Cayde groaned as he flopped and turned in his bed trying to let the darkness that once consumed take him again, however it proved futile as something else took hold keeping him awake. Sitting up in his blinking sleepy, he wiped a bit of drool of his cheek saying, "gotta pee." Ah yes the midnight pee break everyones sad but refreshing time of the night, being woken up in the middle isn't for everyone especially when your Cayde.
Turning his body, his feet stuck out from underneath the sheets onto where the floor was suppose to be, however, his feet pressed against something soft and scaly, then a light moan came from next to him as he looked to his right to Tohru resting next to the bed in a sleeping bag, her tail sprawled out on the floor as his feet happened to press against her tail.
"Whoa! So close..!" He whispered silently as Kanna, who was sleeping next to him snuggled deeper into bed with a content sigh
Later that day heading to his office, Cayde grabbed the handle of the door and just when he was about to open it a flush came from next to him, before the door swung open hitting square in the head with no time to react at all. Letting small yelp of pain, Kanna, who had just exited the bathroom heard not only the yelp but felt the door hit something as she quickly apologized.
"Sorry Cayde."
"Nah, it's cool." He said rubbing the back of his head.
Night time grew around and Cayde walked from his room, to the kitchen where Tohru was seen cooking dinner. With an ecstatic look on his face, "Oh yeah, Cola time!" He squatted opening fridge to grab his beverage, unbeknownst to him as he was searching Tohru came up from behind also needing to get to the fridge."Oop, scuse' me second." She apologized, not knowing her chest was placed upon the boys head pushing him down a bit due to the size, well it wasn't TOO bad he could still- "Is there any juice?" Kanna asked squeezing in underneath pushing Cayde's face slightly out of the way trying to find and to drink.
Loud shouts and complaints came from the trio as they all tried to get there designated item from the fridge but prove difficult with all the shoving and pushing they we're doing. This was getting them nowhere let's be honest...

"So you called looking for another town house residence?" Asked a homeowner.
"Yeah, or more like a apartment; anything helps, really i just want one close this district as possible please." Cayde informed his two companions sitting side on both of his sides.
"Ah, well what see what we can find."
The first neighborhood they checked out was staircase like building with a moderate sized room, no floors but a spacious kitchen. "How's this?" "Hmm..." He pondered, the second was practically the same, the third, however, was different, going up an outside elevator, the group made there way into nearby room.
Upon stepping inside, the trio were greeted with a shocking discovery. The room upon entering was the living room, spacious enough for a bigger couch, tv and living room table, the kitchen was had enough room with an open doorway leading into it with an open bannister railing and the balcony in the back, but what surprised was the staircase leading up into three separate rooms. "This one has a bonus feature. This common area shared by attendance."
"Wait really?" Heading to the roof of the apartment complex, the view was great. They could honestly see the entire city from up there.
"Whoa! The sky is so vast!" Tohru squealed with Kanna behind her, their arms sticking out like planes as they ran.
"This feels amazing!" Kanna happily said before Tohru picked her up and started spinning around with her.
"So, what do you think?" The homeowner asked as Cayde watched the duo cheer and play in front of them.
"Well...I guess we'll take it!"

A day after finding their new home, the trio returned home starting the next with goal in mind. Moving.
"Alright misfits listen up, we gotta get this place ready for the move. Meaning this place practically has to be spotless by the time we leave, but not sparkling y'know we just gotta clean up is all."
"Right!/Right." The dragoness said. "Alright let's get to work!" Tohru calmly opened her mouth magical energy forming, slowly expanding before Cayde's hand immediately slammed across it.
"Don't you dare!" He barked before the maid looked at him with most confused poker face expression she could muster. "But wouldn't it be faster? This place would be sparkling in no time." Groaning placing two fingers on where is nose would be he sighed." Tohru, we talked about this you can't obliterate my things. And besides..." He side-eyed her. "Your definition of "moving" and "eviscerate" are two completely different things in your head."
"Now that's just rude!" She cutely puffed her cheeks. "Just get to cleaning.."
"Cleaning, cleaning lala! Beat the dust and DT destroy it!" Tohru sang as she dusted the the nooks and cranny's of corners and wooden furniture, all the while Cayde listened on in confusion. 'okay, what is she singing? i hope it isn't anything she on tv again..' He thought slight sweatdropping at a distant memory he rather not get into.
"Clean clean every-thing! If not then death death-" "Dude what are doing?! Trying to freak me out!" Snapping towards the girl a almost horrified yet mostly confused expression while the girl tilted her confused with the outburst.
Once in the living room, Cayde rolled up the rug on the floor laying the wooden table he had against the wall Tohru wiped the TV off next to him and Kanna was..well being Kanna. "Hmm..Hey question, as a dragon do you like staying clean?"
Putting a finger to her chin she pondered her answers before replying, "I suppose I like to take baths as well as brush my teeth."
"Wait brush your teeth? Seriously? How do you do that with a dragon sized toothbrush or something?" She shook her head, "No i just use my claws to pick out the bugs." He shivered slightly. "Gross, but what about the bacteria and other stuff?" "Well..they're so small I don't really notice so I never really worried about it." She lazily shrugged.
"Sheesh must not be fun having such a huge body huh?"
"True finding some place to live was horrible." "What'd you go with then?" "Sometimes caves, sometimes ruins, sometimes mountains I even slept in the sky a few times." She listed off a image of cute comical dragon in the spots she listed appeared in his head whilst Kanna watched a butterfly pass by the backdoor window mesmerized.
"Hmm sounds pretty bad but living in the sky must of have thins a breeze." He punned, a faint rim drum playing in the back while the Tohru questioningly looked at him whilst he laughed at his own joke.
"Uh no, why is that funny?" Not getting she continued," Anyways if I stayed in one place to long humans showed up. They're the worst." She finished with what he was expecting.
"Well to be fair you are a rare and mythical creature so it was bound to happen sooner or later. Not only that it sound like grind material from RPGMMO i play recently anyway, can't say i'm not shocked." Kanna who was still in the back had opened the door as the butterfly had landed on her finger. She awed at cutely before a quiet "nom" came from her..eating the butterfly. Truly a dangerous a creature. "The point was my body kept getting dirty so I barely got the opportunity to bathe at all."
"Ew gross."
"When worst came to worst Kanna would have to lick each other clean."
The sound of tire screechs went off the bluette's head as whatever he was doing the moment seized as the rugged he finished rolling came undone somewhat before he snapped his neck towards the girl who was ringing her rag out from the access dirt."

"Yeah, Kanna and I did that before." She innocently said as he heard faint police sirens go off in his head.
"That is completely inappropriate standard for humans on so many levels." He tried to get the image of nude Tohru and Kanna out his head before it kept coming back stronger and stronger. "Oh lord please no.." He whispered to himself.
"Yeah well." Tohru went into the kitchen along with him clean off the stovetop. "Dragons could careless about silly human rules, we don't get sick or unhealthy either way."
"Dragon life rise up." He lazily cheered before Tohru suddenly threw an accusing glare.
"Y'know.." She started watching him clean off the table. "Your a very lazy person." He paused before shrugging.
"Yeah, what else is new? You already know this." Frowning, Tohru began to rant, "You leave pop cans everywhere you sit or sleep, leave socks, shirts scattered everywhere, you eat just cinnamon rolls and drink sugary items which I heard good for the human body and teeth, plus when take out your games you don't even put them back in the proper order you found them. You just put whatever there's a space into something and leave it."
Blinking by the sudden outburst/lecture he stayed silent until last seemed to set him off due to the faint tic mark forming on his head. "Ey, you don't judge how I work my things at least I KNOW where everything is! Your just being to damn picky!"
Clearing her throat, she continued, "Fine. I can overlook the catastrophe of video games however, you can at least pick up your trash clothes." She said sternly.
"Don't forget this is my hous-" You don't want Kanna picking up these nasty habits do you?!" Cutting him off like a angry mother telling her child to clean up there room. "What are you mom or my maid?!" He exclaimed while Tohru stood her ground. Everything went silent as the two went into a stare off.
'ugh great. As if i need another "Her" right now. Jeez, i don't want to sit threw another..wait.' "Hmm.." He glared slightly a plan coming to mind.
"Y'know Tohru.." He began getting a "Hmm?", "The reason I keep leaving things around is because your here. I like that you clean up." He said "embarrassed" rubbing the back of his while Tohru went red by the sudden praise he was giving. He could have sworn he saw hearts floating around her. "I mean that stuff must be a cakewalk for a mighty and powerful dragon like you right?"
"Uh huh! It is!" SHe grapsed her hands together as if she were praying for him to keep going before he nailed the final nail in the coffin.
"Tohru, I'd love it if you kept helping out if you want?" He gave a big cheeky "embarrassed" smile before she erupted into blaze of hearts before she proudly gave him a thumbs up. "I do mind! I do!"
"Heh, so easy." He cheekly remarked.
" Cayde you scoundrel." Kanna said next to him watching along with to the oblvious and love struck dragon to trick.
It was passed mid day since the trio finished cleaning the house now came the tedious task of every person moving from place to another.
"Alright, next up is packing."
"Right!/Right." They saluted.
"I know must this is mine sorry about that guys.." He apologized the two knowing how much more of a hassle it was going it be for them.
Shaking her head, Tohru placed a hand on her chest. "Never fear. You can ask anything of all from me."
"I'll do my best too.." Kanna cutely cheered earning smile from the bluette.
In his office, Kanna and Tohru were seen packing up what video games and some books he had leaving the moniter and PC to him as he told them. Whilst packing and taking books off the shelf Kanna came across book hiding hidden tight behind the rack of games and books on the shelf. She was surprised seeing as if she could have moved past this without her knowing for all she knew this could be really important to him and for them to just leave in the hands of somebody else to find it was instant no-go.
Glancing over her shoulder to the maid still packing things into boxes, she took it upon herself to see what was inside. Reaching for the book she noticed it seemed more.. special that it let on. From the curios amount of games and dumb joke and play through books in the shelf the book she held was kept in pristine condition almost as if he's been taking care of it knowingly stuffing behind there. The book had full white both front and back but the front was what mostly stood out. The gold outline near the edge of the cover shined along with the white the light hit but the big thing that stood out the most was the big black spade dead smack in the middle.
She stared mesmerized by the book somewhat before opening the contents to it's first page before she skimmed through and what she saw made her gasp lightly before loudly as she awed at what was inside. However, in her doing this she alerted Tohru who sighed knowing the girl probably got distracted again.
"Focus Kanna" She began turning her towards her. "Stop fooling aroun-CHIBI CAYDE!" Tohru squeeled as she stared down at the book that hepl photos and entrys of some kinds throughout the book Kanna as she looked up at the love struck maid.
"Oh my gosh those cute little hands and that coolness he trying to put off is the most cutest thing." She heavily breath as drool started spill from her mouth as she was about to turn the next page for more while Kanna stared at her with a deadpan expression.
"There's something wrong with you." Kanna stated being the most reasonable the of the two somehow although all the ruckus the two were making attracted the male into the room as he stared down the maid with murderous intent, his eyes seemingly glowed as she drooled before the sound of loud smack rang throughout the area.
Tohru had giant bump on her for the remainder of the time in the room.
However, while the maid cried at no longer being able to fawn over the young Cayde, Kanna noticed him look the book the doorway flipping through it contents before letting out a sigh and exiting the room. She stared at the doorway as if he never entered before turning to finish the task given to her.
In his room packing and taking comforters off his bed and placing in where they once belonged, he found himself in front of his games within his room placing them in the box next to him.
"Huh?" He digged through the shelf finding something he never thought he still had. "No way! I have still have this!" He exclaimed happily, holding a portable console. He flipped opened the top hearing the familiar slight soft clicks of the lid opening to reveal the the two screens . "If this is hear that must mean..bingo!"
He didn't know how long time passed but he was enjoying taking a trip down memory lane placing his small concolse as furious button clicking and satisfied breaths came from him. All the while he was distracted Tohru and Kanna found there way into his room looks of displeasure on they're faces.
"Focus..." Tohru said as he flinched from the sudden entry.
"All focused here!" He said with a thumbs up.
Tohru, now in his room to finish up was sorting things on the floor in his closet. Apparently he had some old stuff in there that he wanted to save and a few things to throw out and seeing as now was the best time he let her do it. While sorting through she came across a unique box. The box itself was black a blue outline near edge with what seemed a dragon twirling it self from something from ground in the middle of spewing fire a spade seemingly within in it's coils.
Along side was a another sling bag this time black, blue with some white here and there. Curiosity over came her as she reached for the bag and shook it feeling stuff inside, she would have opened but the box it was resting to next fell grabbing her attention. The fall caused some of it contents of whatever was inside to spill out a bit making her reach for it and pull it open to see what it was before she gasped.
In the living room, Cayde and Kanna were seen surrounded by boxes however two tall structures of boxes that made up castle were in the middle as the two glared at one another from either side.
"Hehe oh my dear Kanna, you are fool. Do you really think you can withstand my almighty prowess?" Cayde smugly spoke looking down upon the girl who glared with her own intensity.
"Only a fool calls someone else a fool." She retorted as the energy room grew heavy and the two were about to pounce one another before the door to his room opened scaring the two as they fumbled around scattering the once mighty castles into small piles as they faked opening some more while Kanna stuck her head through one to act as she where a tv.
"Mister Cayde!" Tohru said quickly coming into the room with a smile.
"Yeah what's up?"
"What is this?" She said holding up what seemed to be a hoodie. It had entire black for the middle while the sleeves were turned white all the down the cuffs where it ended with black. The pockets of the hood had a white exterior but black completely inside. The strings to adjust where white and the most notable thing about as they two couldn't see they were a big white spade dead smack in the middle on the back on hoodie. Jeez, this guy really likes spades huh?
"Whoa.." Kanna awed while a faint "Urk" came from the teen as he stared the article of clothing she was holding.
"Is this yours?"
"Yeah, that's mine."
"Really?! Could please try it on? I know you'll look good in as I'll know you will!" She pleaded holding the hoodie close to her as if were going to disappear that very moment.
"Uh well, i don't know i'm exactly clean although that's probably not exactly clean either for long it's been sitting in there. Although wasn't that long but still.." He pondered before he caved and stood grabbing it from her. "Alright be back in sec." He pushed out of the doorway as she sat next to Kanna who also waited patiently for to come out. Little time passed before the door opened and steeped the teen.
Now dawning the hoodie the Tohru once held he wore also black pants similar to the gym pants with a big white stripe only this it's thin it being made from regular pants like material and a hunter's belt slinging his right should and the other wraped around hear his waist. His signature scarf and masked also helping stand out with his hands in his pockets as the two awed.
"Whoa, you look so cool.." Kanna praised by the way the boy rocked the outfit.
"I'll say! You look like one of those seasoned adventures who go on all types journeys!" She two praised the making laugh.
"Well i mean I do love me so some loot." His hand came out putting up against chin as noticeable glove was over with black on the back and white on front with small semi thin rectangle print on the back was.
"Wow! Gloves too, your really getting into character!"
"Well, what can I say? Gotta improvise."
"Oh oh! Can I try it on!" Tohru asked before he instantly retorted. "Hell no. And you destroy it somehow? Yeah, fat chance."
The sound of the crickets outside filled the night humid air as the trio sat in the living room filled with boxes of things that were ready for the move. Sighing to himself as he collapsed against the floor,he moaned stretching his body.
"Ugh, I remeber why i don't like cleaning but hey at least i had help. Thanks again you two, your so awesome." He thanked them again before standing back up on his feet heading towards the bathroom.
"Finally time for a shower. Get these clothes off and..huh?" He looked towards where the sink was noticed something a miss. Heading back into the living room a confused look. "Hey do either know what happened to the set clean clothes i had on the sink?"
"Oh!" Tohru perked up. "I packed it all up in a box for you."
"Huh."
"Huh?"
Staring at the mountain of boxes the trio stared in grief at what was probably going to come next. "So have any idea what the box might be...by any chance?"
The sound on the doorbell ringing the next morning was all three needed to hear as they said they're last goodbyes to place. Letting in the moving company the group of men introduced themselves.
" Good Morning! San San's Moving Service your service." One the men introduced.
"Great, have fun fellas." He said with a thumbs up.
"Help..urk..m..ee"Cayde groaned as the trio took a taxi to the their new home. Cayde being Cayde after the Tohru of his..issue he refused to get in the car. Not really knowing what would reassured it was going to be okay but he still refused turning it into quite the display for many people as they watched two young ladies trying drag a young boy into the taxi with screaming at the top of his lungs calling the taxi a "walking death trap" or "The flaming pits of hell have finally come to claim him." After who knows how long the dragon girls finally got him the car and driver stepped on it not wanting to stall any longer with the trio. And immdiately as the car took off the boy collapsed against Kanna.
His was a sickly blue, he groaned in pain with comical tears falling down his face while Kanna stayed put the entire, secretly enjoying the closeness disregarding his moans on pain. Tohru tried to consult him but he wasn't having any of it before he slumped against Kanna who still hadn't moved an inch, placed a hand on his head as stoic look of determination flashed across her face while enjoying the ride of being in a car. Tohru was jealous to say the least.
As the car came to halt in front of the apartment complex, Cayde burst through the door and started kissing the ground like there was no tomorrow.
"Oh sweet floor. Sweet sweet un-moving ground! I missed you, i'll never let you go again!" He sweet talked the ground as Tohru and Kanna thanked the driver for the ride as they pulled off leaving the trio in front of they're new home. With a cherry blossom tree coming into bloom next to ground-loving boy who looked up in a slight awe.
The orange sky filled the world above them, the sun slowly creeping below the mountain scape distance away from where they live as the trio stood in their home.
"Alright guys, let's figure how we're gonna use this place. Living room obviously." As they stood on the carpeted floor, "Kitchen if this wasn't a dead give away," Climbing the stairs to the second floor they inspected the three rooms, I think i'll use this small room for my office sound good?" He asked claiming the semi-small room as the two nodded. "I'll take this room." He said opening the second door closet the wall. "And finally, this will be your room." He said presenting it to them.
"Huh?" The two dragons stared at him. "Wait, this our room?" Tohru asked.
"Yeah, knock yourselves out. You can do whatever you want in here and you can make it look nice to. That's the best part." He smiled warmly as the two went goggly eye before running into the room and started jumping on the bed like bunch of kids.
"Yeah!/ Whoa!" The giggled and bounced while Cayde laxily smiled at the two.
Once in the shower after a long day he sat in the hot water that his body making him tired. His once spiky hair seemingly deflated, his scarf rested outside as he held his mask in his hand thinking about all that's happened.
"Man..never thought I would be doing this again. It's been awhile, almost as if I'm starting a whole new life all over again.." He said letting his thoughts take over as fond memories resurfaced making smile but if one where to look closely it definitely was all that of happy one. Not entirely anyway.
The sound of the door opening snapped him out of his mood glancing over his shoulder slightly to see Tohru peeking in.
"Shall I wash your back for you?"
"What? No i'm fine you don't need to do that."
She frowned slightly, "But you said you like when I make things clean. That is what you said right?" She asked clairfying.
"Yeah things. Not beings, what are you trying to play at?" He glared back making girl cutely frown more, a few seconds passed before he sighed to himself. Placing his mask back he spoke, "Fine, come on." Looking at him like a silly dog getting treat she happily entered. "Okay!"
Cayde focsed on on the floor of tiles as he felt Tohru scrubbed his back. It wasn't uncomfortable or anything thankfully, but being in here with her maid him feel.. out of it. Like this was a dream he living and was almost trying to wake him up to lonely he was living before she got here but aonther question pondered his mind.
"I gotta question."
"Yes?" She asked pausing temporally as he pressed on. "Woukdn't it be easier to wash you body in human form?"
"Considering the question, Tohru replied, "Technically, yes, but I can't be as thorough. All the confusing and finicky rules of this don't help either." She continued to scrub his back." I find the whole thing stifling."
"So..it's like trying fit yourself into new clothes. They fit yeah but it's to snug for your liking but you have to bear with it?" He asked oping to get some type of clarification.
"In a way, that's exactly it. It's almost as if being out place but at the same time not. It's weird I know but one will get used to it after a while."
Cayde frowned, "So you don't like being in your human form then?"
"Yes!" Suddenly Tohru threw her around his neck bring him into a hug pushing him forward but the surprise sudden weight. "I know it's...complicated." She expressed hiding her face in his shoulder as he glanced behind him at her before he placed a hand on her head and gave it a few pats.
"That's alright. I'm not trying judge or make you don something your comfortable with. Like I said before your safe here and you do whatever you, I don't want to make you being here anymore of a burden." He spoke getting the girl to look up at him and stare into the eyes of the mask. "If you ever need me for something I'm here. if your ever feeling homesick talk to me, if your ever feeling alone..you can lean my shoulder. I'll be here for you and Kanna. So don't try and put so much on by yourself..alright?"
Tohru stared as her hair shadowed her eyes before she plunged her head back into his shoulder. "Thank you.." She muttered barely above a whisper. As he stared with a tilted head at to what she said before the sound of the door opening to the bathroom grabbed their attention.
"Knock knock i'm coming in." Kanna said walking into the bathroom. "Lady Tohru, wash me too?" She asked cutely.
"Ah of course I will." Sh said coming back to her old self.
"I'm not going to jail!" He yelled raising the eyebrows of the two dragons.
The sun rose on a cold morning, cold condensation hit the windows of the apartment as in the over Tohru and Kanna slept in the same bed peacefully before Tohru shifted in her sleep before she rose halfway out the bed. She sat in silence taking the in the room her and Kanna now share smiling to herself she stretching.
"Hngh..! Here I go!" She quietly said already slipping into her usual attire and heading to room the over. Knocking twice she called out, "Mister Cayde, are you awake?" She asked before opening the door. Upon opening the room itself was like void. None of the contents within the room was seen and if were any other person they wouldn't even be able to see their own hand in front of them it was so dark. But Tohru wasn't anything like and headed into the room and towards he bed that held it's human hostage.
"Mister Cayde, Mister Cayde.." Tohru quietly said shaking his should a couple times before he groaned and turned towards her still basically sleep. "It's time to wake, i'm going to make breakfast so don't be late okay?" Tohru said leaving the room as the boy groaned into his pillow upset that school once more had taken the most precious thing from him. However with his face in his pillow it didn't take long for the pleasures sleep to come over him once more.
The sound of chopping and the boiling of water resounded in the kitchen as Tohru made breakfast. Some little time passed with the smell of food and sleepiness wearing roused the boy from his eternal slumber and headed into the bathroom.
"Morning.." Cayde yawned greeting the maid.
"Good morning, I hope you slept well." Tohru greeted back before resuming her morning duties. He stared the maid remebering the conversation from last night before an idea popped into his head.
"Hey Tohru." Looking back to him she replied, "Yes?"
"Want me wash you as a thanks for yesterday?" He asked walking towards the door.
"Do I?!" Tohru exclaimed a blush forming on her face. Ignoring it he smiled and nodded, "Yeah c'mon."
"O-Okay."
Tohru sat on the roof in shimmering dragon form, sighing in contentment and relief as Cayde hosed down the dragoness's back. "Thank you.. This is incredible." Cayde for the most part just poker faced as he stared the field of green in front of him, if anything this was like another game to him to pass the time.
"This is like powerwash simulator but instead of house it's dragon.." He muttered to himself. "Or really like cleaning a plane that got so much dirt on it."
"Thank you..Mister Cayde your the absolute best." She moaned getting a giggle from the teen.
"Your welcome, Tohru." He said as rainbow formed on top of the dragons body.
To say the day went by in flash a flash was an understatement. The moment Cayde got to school it was already time for class, and even though he was listening it seemed like the teacher was talking faster than normal, their words becoming nothing more than mumbo jumbo until the next bell rung signaling everyone it was time to leave. Then lunch ctime came around and as per-usual a fight broke out but him not being the cause, then he for got his moework for the next class after and before he knew it it was the end of the day and he once again watched ANOTHER fight breakout only this time someone got their head smashed through a window and things got even more heated when the local police department showed up. However, being the usual causes of fights to begin with he sneaked his way out of questioning with the sun setting behind him.
He felt sluggish, more tired than he usually was and his body flat out exhausted. He was tired he just let his feet carry him home practically knowing the path like the back of his hand however, when he got to the door he realized something.
"Wait.." Looking at the familiar door he realized, "DAMN IT THIS IS THE OLD APARTMENT! UGH Why am i so stupid..." He cursed to himself an owl singing in the background or was it laughing?
The weekend sun beamed down in the apartment of the trio, Cayde was in his office working his PC installing new components when the next thing he knew a loud house erupted from in front surprising him making him drop one of the parts before he quickly caught it. "What the..?" Before he could finish another noise rocketed behind sending in forward a bit, snapping his head behind he looked on in shock before another noise erupted from above him surrounding him like he was in cage.
Tic marks appeared on his head, teeth gritted before stormed out the room to where the two dragons are currently residing.
"TOHRU SHUT UP! Your..not doing any..thing." He stopped seeing the two dragons holding their ears only then turning towards him once he entered the room.
Now Cayde sat in a fetal position with Tohru looking down at him with hands on her hips.
"Do you believe me to be to loud?"
"No..But if i said yes, what would you do?"
"I wouldn't talk to you for the rest of the day." She huffed, her cheeks puffing cutely. "Okay then, yes you are." "You're just saying that!"
"Cayde, do you have hangover or something?" Kanna asked ignoring the whining maid. He shook his head,'No I can deal with it but it's going to be annoying if I can't focus especially if i'm working on my PC. That stuffs expensive y'know."
"The noises seem to be coming from both sides and above." Tohru observed. "Would like me to speak with them about?"
Surprised by her sudden offer he nodded, "Sure, if you could that would be great. Just make sure your horns don't stick out though."
"Got it! And if they refuse to listen I'll just dismember, eviscerate, and pummel them!" "Don't do that please."
"I'll start with on our right." Tohru said knocking on the door. "Coming" A voice called out from the other side, moments later the door opened and walked out a woman. She had a brown hair and green eyes, she wore a yellow sweater covered over by a blue apron.
"Oh, your from next door." Tohru bowed politely, "Yes, Hi! My names Tohru, i'm your new neighbor."
"Mhm. So, what can I help you with?"
"Well, we've been hearing some really loud noises lately and the guy i'm living with is suffering from a hangover, so I decided to come check it out." She explained with a mental image of Cayde giving her a thumbs up for "remembering" the issue earning a shock from the woman.
"I didn't realize I was that loud."
"What are doing anyway? Pillaging?" Shaking her head, Sakakibe smiled, "Just cooking."
...
"Huh?" Tohru stared dumbfounded. "Stay here a quick minute." Sakakibe closed the door before the familiar loud noise erupted from inside, not even a second later Sakaibe re-emerged from within and handed Tohru a small plastic case. "Here allow me to share, Stewed Graped Sea Blossoms."
"O-Oh thank you so much." Tohru smiled sweatdropping. "And if it wouldn't be much trouble could you try keeping the noise down?"
"Sure. Ah, young love." Sakakibe closed the door leaving Tohru alone to think of what had transpired. "How could this make such a racket?" Tohru mumbled looking the "delicacy" that was in her hands. "Next, we'll try on the left."
"What? I'm playing music?" A man said standing in the doorway. He had green hair hanging on one-side and a yellow bob-cut for the rest, he wore black sweater and blue pants.
"Playing music?" Tohru asked. "Yeah, wanna listen?" The soft spoken man asked.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" "RAH" RAH"
A loud yell roared from the once spoken as he bobbed his head to the music as if he were on stage. Upon entering the home it seemed pretty average, but when entering his room the atmosphere changed and well he did too. His long tongue hanged from mouth, his teeth somehow sharp with the loud rock and roll music playing in the back all the while Tohru sat in fetal position being blown away literally by the music.
The song now finally over, she spoke. "Are you the god of the underworld? Cause you sound like Hades crushing Hercules?" She insulted but to a rocker as himself, he blushed.
"Best compliment ever. Rock on."
"Anyways, please try and keeping the yelling down." She asked getting a hearty nod from him.
"Now, we'll try on the floor above." She said ringing the doorbell. A middle aged man opened the door. His bald patch covering his entire head save from the both and side burns looking like a old mop, he wore a pink sweater which a faint sign of wood chippings on it and blue pants. "I'm sorry but I need a drill for my work."
"A drill?"
"Yes." He brought a well wooden sculpted gorilla figure inside. "I make hand carved wooden figurines." He explained, while Tohru admired the handiwork. "Wow, this is really made." She complimented. "Anyways, can you try and keep the noise down? The guy i'm living with is suffering from hangover and we would really appreciate it."
"I'll try."
Later on in the day, a flock of crows hung above the apartment complex. Tohru, who had been shopping had taken the elevator back up to the apartment enjoying the silent ride she hummed a little tune before the sounds of yelling caught her ears. The metals door releasing from the confined spaces of the metal box back out in the world where three familiar people were arguing right in front of her home. "Hey, what's going on here?" Tohru asked the trio who had snapped in her direction anger present on each of their faces.
"The drilling is too loud!"
"The death metals too loud!"
"That creepy noise is too loud!" "All i'm doing is cooking!" Sakakibe puffed, earning quite the shock from the males.
"At the moment all three of you are too loud!" Tohru announced earning sympathetic looks from each of them. "We're sorry Tohru." They said simultaneosly lowering their heads. Tohru huffed keeping one eye closed while the other continuing staring on at the three. 'Why do humans always make the same mistakes over and over?' Tohru stared a few seconds longer before her expression darkened, her eyes slowly form into slits as her hand holding the groceries turned into a sharp dragon like claws. 'They're beyond help..I'll kill them.' She thought darkly.
However, as fate had it. Cayde, who had heard the entire from inside came out to talk all the while Tohru had seemingly turned back to normal as if nothing happened.
"Hey, mind if I have word?" Grabbing their attention. "Problem is we're being loud when we really want things to be quiet, so why don't we all come up with some schedule of when working and when we're not." Hearing the idea come to the neighbors smiled at the thought. "And if sometimes don't work out we could use the power of the ear plug." He held a ear plug lazily.
Once back inside the duo sat in living room having already snacked on the treats Tohru had purchased. "Do you really think this will work?" Tohru questioned. "You do realize these are creatures who haven't learned anything since evolving from apes."
"You do know i'm one of those creatures right?" He sweatdrop making the girl flinch a bit. "I don't think i told you this but, I don't really mind the loud the noise. If anything I make just as much noise as they do if not more. Besides this is just the normal life of human when having to deal with neighbors, it's just who we are sometimes we could come to except them or we have to find ways to work around the issue. And sometimes asking certain people about certain things isn't always the best option seeing as if it could be sensitive or doesn't really involve your input until somehow becomes your problem."
Sighing to herself Tohru spoke, "You might be to good for your own good." She complained his flaw.
"It's just who am I, but i'm not always good either." Huh?" Tohru raised her head towards him while he stared into space. "Honestly, I hate when things are quiet or I guess when there too quiet." He said stretching out before lying down on the couch next to Kanna who had been sleep since the entire conversation. "Welp, i'm gonna sleep." His head grazed Kanna's a bit before sighing. Tohru stared with weary eyes before standing and resting her head against his side.
"Do you consider me..to be too loud?"
He pondered for bit before closing his eyes. "Yeah sometimes I do.." He started feeling her shift but he wasn't finished. "But whose to say i'm not either, right?" He chuckled to himself. "But y'know for what's it worth, I don't mind this not one bit." He turned over her head now rest on his back. "I'm gonna sleep now." He yawned. "Night night.."
Tohru who had done nothing but listen stare at where his face used to be before she smiled warmly and nodded. "Yes, then I shall too." She sighed enjoying the warmth.
CCCCCCCCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKK GRK GR-
Suddenly, an ear piercing sound rung throughout the room. The cause being Tohru who had apparently started grinding her teeth in her sleep, however before the noise could even continue on, moving a sonic speeds a fist had swung around being nothing but blur slam across Tohru's head before she slammed down into the floor causing the entire apartment to shake upon impact. Tohru now slumped and unconscious against the floor with swirls in her eyes lied before a heavy breathing Cayde whose anger ever more present before he yelled.
"YOUR TO DAMN LOUD!" He roared all the while Kanna stay completely still throughout the entire slept on. She just might take his crown as sleep king at this point.

Kanna roamed the small hallway holding her trusty pillow, the journey to look for the perfect spot for nap begins as she plops down on her and Tohru's bed. Sometime seemed to have passed with her eyes snapping open with a small whine. Her next destination took place in the lving resting on the chaise of the couch as she plopped her down and rested her head in the warmth of the sun. However, even that proved futile as she whined once more sitting up on the couch.
Tohru who had been cleaning the entire was humming a tune while vacuuming until she felt a small tug on the end of her dress. Turning she found Kanna staring up at her wiht the same emotionless expression as she usually does before the next thing we knew she was in the lap of Tohru who pat her head the small dragon cooed in happiness all the while Tohru smiled.
Truly such cuteness can't stay in this dark and gloomy world we call home.
It was lunch at the school adn Cayde and classmates we're all just chatting away minding their business until the teacher called him when he drinking his soda. Glancing over his shoulder the teacher gestured for him to come over. He sighed inwardly until the sounds of his classmates got his attention.
"Ooooh Cayde's in trouble again."
"What'd you this time? Eat the lunch room away again?"
"Or maybe he was caught napping on th-" The guy didn't even get to finish before fist slammed directly in his face making everything flash black and white for a brief moment as he flew into some desk making them fly. The group looked on in shock as Cayde's face hung in the air before falling to his side before he smiled.
"Whoa Alex, didn't know you care for me that much." Cayde said "praising" Alex's actions making him gawk at what was about to happen. "But i'm pretty sure I can handle my own fights."
"What?!" The kid that was launched bolted up glaring daggers at the black haired teen. "Oh you wanna duke it out again! Let's go, you leazy-eyed freak!" Tic marks formed as Alex growled before yelling. "That's it!" And the next the entire classroom erupted into a massive brawl leaving Cayde walking toards the teacher with smile while they sweatdropped at his actions.
"What's up, teach?" Cayde asked ignoring the slaughter feast happening behind him.
"Well.." They started before learning their throat. "We like to have you represent the schools strongest in the school in a banquet." Surprised the boy smiled before remembering something that made him shiver. "I know this must sound exciting but you must remember to behave yourself and also we love to have you give a speech and some motivation to those who wish to become more."
"Uh, so you me to be a representative for the school here or at another?"
"At another obviously." They smiled, oblivious to the now, sweating teen.
"Yeah, that's sounds great all bu-"
"We all really appreciate for all that you done!"
"But-"
"Ignoring all the school brawls and pranks you decided to pull on the teachers we would really appreciate it." The teacher smiled menacingly making the shiver in response.
"And that's why i need a way out of being the school representative." Cayde explained that night at dinner. "So, I decided we have a party. A "Family Reunion" if you would."
"A party? With that man in our home?" Tohru visible digust was ever present making the teen slightly sweatdrop.
"Look as much as the guy annoys the crap out of me too, he's a good guy so let up on him, okay?"
Inwardly groaning, Tohru complied, "Fine. But i'm putting up with for you." "How mature." "In return, can I invite some my friends over too?"
"Friends? You mean people from the shopping district or the neighbors?" He asked images of multiple people appearing in his head who could even remotely get along with the dragon maid.
"No like dragons." Cayde visibly recoiled causing the dragoness to panic a bit. "Don't worry their really well-behaved dragons!" She assured making the teens worry grow even anymore. "That's not really reassuring y'know."
The next night, which the conference, Cayde and Alex walked back to his apartment in relief. Unlocking the door, Tohru and Kanna were there to greet them. "Welcome back, home!"
"Hey guys."
"Hey, i'm here too." Alex said peeking from side making Tohru visibly cringe with a forced smile. "Oh welcome, come in."
"Somehow, I don't feel very welcome." He noted.
Entering the home, Alex greeted Kanna for the first time he heard about her. "So you're Kanna, huh? I'm Alex, nice to meet you." He smiled politely getting the usual expressionless greeting from the small dragon. "Nice to meet you." "I really like your goth-lolic thing." He praised getting a tilt of the head from her. Cayde smiled while Tohru stared with agitation of the other male present in their home, she REALLY didn't want him here but she heard that Alex does come by often when she wasn't there and before she even arrived so that make things any better. She would have to resort to drastic measures in the future.
The group made their into the living room, the door bell rung behind. "I'll get it!" She happily skipped towards the door opened it before a horrifying image peaked behind the door, before it slammed shut with Tohru laughing slightly. "Uh just..give one mintue." She cracked open the door and spoke to the...creature on the other side trying to ignore the pale bodies of both teens whose eyes were sizes of plates. "Fafnir, no, your suppose to look like the picture I sent you."
"Good grief." A menacing voice whined, before a dark green-ish like cloud blew from beyond the door and in stepped in a young man. He had a long, straight black hair in a loose ponytail with bangs covering his right eye with small glasses on the bridge of his nose & red eyes, which can change color and size depending on when enraged. He has a calm, collected demeanor that reflects his slightly gloomy face. He is mostly seen in his butler attire and a mail coach cravat tie.
"I hate this everything it stands for." Fafnir complained before he glared, his voice dropping few menacing decimals. "I'm already dead inside."
Hostility.
That was the one word that came to mind for the teens. The duo an instant chill run down their spines with their "Fight or Flight" mode kicking at full power but neither dared raise a fist towards him, worried if they did so they'll not only be putting their lives at risk but others in the surrounding too. "Mister Cayde." Tohru called making the boy jump slightly. "This is Fafnir." Nudging him forward, Cayde glanced behind him, seeing Alex a godd few feet away hiding behind Kanna who just stayed silent the entire time, completely unfazed. He really wonders sometimes if she's just dozing off when things like this happens.
Swallowing a lump of saliva, Cayde stepped forward and stuck out his hand greeting him. Hi there, my name is Cayde. I live here and watch over Tohru and Kanna and make sure they stay safe, healthy and well mannered from the human civilization." Cayde rambled on while Alex and Kanna sat in the back watching.
"That's what we call a polite social greeting." Alex said. "Polite social greeting?" Kanna asked intrigued.
"It's basically a set of words that allows even the shyest or introverted person speak normally." He explained while Tohru and Fafnir listen on with comical poker faces. Cayde finished greeting himself, allowing Fafnir into his while he quietly talked to Tohru.
"Tohru, I get the feeling your friend doesn't like me." He whispered silently making the girl nod in understanding.
"That makes sense, he does a slight dislike for humans." "Slight is an understatement.." "We're talking about an ancient cursed dragon whose been guarding his treasure in cave for like ever."
"You mean hobit style? Final boss, raid dungeon level boss type guard?" He asked getting confused looks from the maid, confirming his theory. Then the door bell rang once more, alerting him. "Great there's more?"
"This is the last one. I promise." She said letting in the final guest.
BOING
"World eater.." Cayde muttered to himself.
"Hey Tohru~" A sleazy voice greeted.
"Lucoa! It's been way to long!" Tohru said turning to masked teen. "Mister Cayde, this is Quetzalcoatl." Standing before was a tall, fair-skinned and hour-glass woman with enormously large breasts. She has long, wavy blonde hair, in the anime her hair takes on a turquoise and green color at the ends. she dons a pink cap, a choker, and necklace, a black tank top that exposes her cleavage and stomach, jean booty-shorts that reveal a generous portion of her buttocks, thigh-high black stockings, and pink shoes.
"So cool to meet you. Please call me, Lucoa." Lucoa said with a warm smile.
"Uh huh.. So i'm gonna go off a limb here and say that all dragons don't look this un-realistic." He said staring staring at the..uh abnormal proportions in front of him. Noticing his stare Lucoa, raised a brow.
"Hmm? Everything chill?" She asked as he scanned up and down.
"Mister Cayde! That's inappropriate! Besides you have me!" Tohru wailed as the two ignored her.
"Did you really walk here wearing that?"
"Yeah. Of course I did." Not really understanding the problem with her current look.
"Huh. Doesn't really leave a whole to the imagination does it buddy." Shocking the poor girl with the blatantly calm manner he just spoke.
Once in the living room Cayde and Alex were seen playing a multiplayer game, going around killing monsters, getting loot, accessing new rewards and completing missions. Kanna Fafnir watched on the couch along with them, however, Fafnir, who been silent and un-amused since he got their had quickly taken interest in the game by placing his face dead set in front of the tv causing the ladder to pause before offering a controller to him.
"Wanna give it go?" Alex smiled handing him a controller while Fafnir glared at it.
The next thing they new they were all playing teaching Fafnir the ins and outs of the game of how to move and how to attack. Basically beginner levels of teaching to get him familiarized with the controls. After about couple minutes of getting thrashed around and nearly snapping the controller in half, he was joining in on the adventure with duo as they played making Lucoa smile.
"He's in it now." She turned noting Tohru's happy smile as the trio played.
"it's great to see Tohru smiling. She's not usually the type." Lucoa revealed gaining the attention of the masked teen who died, in his terms "The game froze cause the attack input". "I assume that's thanks to you."
"Really? I'm just guy that loves making happy that's all." He explained letting a small appear from beneath the mask.
Her eyes which had been closed since she got here had opened revealing heterochromia eyes, where one iris has a different coloration from the other. Her left eye is navy blue on the outside and yellow on the inside, with a green, slit pupil. Her right eye is green on the outside with designs and black on the inside with a yellow, slit pupil.
"Could be what she needed since she's never truly experienced something related to happiness before." She glanced back towards the dragon girl who continued to make dinner. "Her friends are the same way."
"..Y'know Lucoa." He started, making Lucoa turning her attention back to him, "I'm glad for Tohru too. As far I as heard she hasn't really the best of life back in her world. So i'm trying to make the most of it." He said giving a goofy looking thumbs making the woman giggle at his silliness.
"You really are just a child." She commented closing her eyes again making the boy give her a big cheesy smile in return.
"The foods ready everyone!"
"YEAH!/Yeah." Cayde, Alex and Kanna cheered while Fafnir continued playing regardless. "Want anything to drink Lucoa?" Cayde asked grabbing another Coke from his hidden stash that seemed to be everywhere in the house. However, Lucoa's regular happy and laid back expression quickly changed, her hat covered her face and her mood doing a complete 180.
"A drink." Her voice become solemn almost quiet even as she continued. "Yes, thank you. But no offence I need to check it for curses."
"Curses?" His masked expression showed a confused expression as held to Cola's.
"Oh yeah!" Tohru remembered as if it were something important. "Forever ago, Lucoa, who was still a goddess, drank some really cursed liquor and had some major drama go down as to being forced to drink some alcohol which made her get all sloppy and-"
"Aahhh!" Lucoa screamed cutely cutting Tohru off. Remembering the embarrassing and humiliating story she her faced lit up like a Christmas tree. "Would you please stop talking!?"
"Huh, and here I thought my freakout's where bad." Cayde lazily sip his drink as Lucoa scolded Tohru for retelling the embarrassing story.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" Cayde roared at the video game he, Alex and Fafnir played. Cayde who was winning in the beginning got overwhelmed by the sheer power of Alex and Fafnir's combo as the duo tag teamed him.
"What's wrong Cayde? I thought you were called, "Ace" for a reason?" Alex smugly asked a shit-eating grin ever present on his face. Cayde's teeth gritted as he glared back towards the red trimmed her teen.
"Don't mock me bastard. I'm still 8-6 if I remeber correctly. And by the looks of things it seems you need help taking me down. So much for the "Diamond" that shines bright,huh?" He growled making tic makrs appear on both the teens skulls as they butted heads seemingly glaring and playing the game at the same time.
"Your really pissing me off. Y'know that you stupid monkey?" Cayde said menacingly.
"What was that lava breath? I couldn't here you due to your frontal cortex being melted away into nothing." Alex shot back, electricity flying in the air between their eyes.
While all this was happening Lucoa and Tohru watched from afar on the floor, Lucoa stared surprised by the boys sudden change of attitude while Tohru growled in anger at the black haired teen getting on her lovers nerves.
"Why that stupid human..I'll murder him!" Tohru declared while Lucoa told her down, seeing as it's there way of bonding earning a angered look from them both.
"LIKE HELL!" They yelled before they both threw away the controllers and flew at each other turning the once somewhat calm living into a battle arena. The comical dust cloud erupted from the duos brawl as they unknowningly brought Fafnir, who was in the middle of it, into the brawl as well as he complained trying to play the game.
And Kanna who had been in the room since the beginning, was sleeping on the chaise of the couch away from the commotion..until a pillow slammed against her face knocking her off the couch, henceforth her comfort, in result waking her up. And she wasn't happy. Thus ended the night with the entire living room looking like a tornado went through it and still didn't stop as Kanna involvement made things a lot more heated.
A+B+C
Cayde and Kanna were playing a racing game in the living room with Tohru at his side. However, this particular racing game had the camera movements in it making it so that your body had to move along with the camera in order see but somehow feel like your actually in the game. And for three that's exactly what it was. Every turn the duo made their bodies either leaned to the left or the right before shooting back into the middle if they messed up a turn by accident.
"Heh. I love how nobody can not move their body to this game." He commented as Kanna chucked an item at the character in first passing them and making the duo win.
Hewwo! I'm back! ...And you don't care do you? That's alright, I said in my last chapter that was going to upload as much as I could because oof school. Well i'm happy to inform for starters. 1.) I'm not dead 2.) Yes, i'm continuing the story and 3.) Guess who graduated~? Yep i'm finally FREE from that hell whole. So i'll be able to post more.
