Remember, this story is rated M for a reason. If you aren't 18+, don't read. This story is also largely in AU, aside from where the story started on the cliff in La Push, this is my world, not the one you see in the movies/books.
A/N: I have decided to go full poly with this story, which will likely include M/M slash at some point. If that isn't your cup of tea, I'm giving you fair warning now and will also do it on the chapter as they come about. I would also like to point out again (yes, I know, it is in the paragraph above) that this is my AU world and the characters are NOT necessarily like they are in the books/movies. I feel I have been very clear about this from the beginning. Personally, I like a stronger Bella that doesn't let people step all over her and dictate her life, so that is how I try to write her. Things have been in a whirlwind since they met on the cliff so if things seem crazy—it's because they are
I did want to extend the option of doing both….hear me out…Continue this as a poly but then I will start a "new" story that keeps it as just Bella/Peter and the plots would be the same up until chapter 6…would anyone wish for this?
BPOV
My lips found his in an oddly sensual dance; they tasted like cinnamon with a hint of vanilla. His scent was intoxicating as it surrounded me. Mindlessly, my legs wrapped around his middle and we collapsed onto the floor, our lips never parting. I brought my lips to the right side of his neck and he bared more of the smooth, cold flesh to me. I felt venom pool in my mouth and a few drops fell onto his skin. I tongued my venom before I placed my lips over the area, whispered "mine" and felt my teeth slice through his seemingly soft skin.
I felt a deep moan from Peter's chest as I drank some of his venom before instinctively inserting my own. When I felt I'd put enough in, I pulled back and began to lick the wound shut. Not sure how I knew to do that but I did. I could feel Pete lifting into my center as I licked and I ground my core back onto his.
A deep moan ending in a chuckle from nearby gave me pause. My head darted towards the noise and my movement on Peter stopped.
Peter tried holding me in place but I was too strong and fast. In a blink of an eye, I had Jasper up against the wall, my nose nuzzling the bite mark Peter had clearly left on his neck. The smell of their scents mingled together was mouthwatering; I couldn't stop myself from licking the spot.
"Mmm, you taste so good." I moaned and open mouth kissed the mark again. I was so distracted; I didn't hear or feel Peter until he was right behind me but that didn't stop me. I felt Jasper's hands at my waist and he adjusted his neck while Peter plastered his front against my back, slightly pressing me into Jasper.
Words cannot express how good it felt to be pressed between them. My head tilted back onto Peter's shoulder and I let out an embarrassingly loud moan. Both men chuckled and I felt Peter place a kiss to my maker mark on my neck. I closed my eyes and softly smiled. Sure, my change happened on a whim but I knew it was inevitable anyways. At least now I could deal with that Victoria bitch myself.
I felt a renewed anger as her face came back to my memories. I unknowingly let out a burst of something and both men went flying back from me. I found myself on my ass on the floor in the center of whatever that was. My eyes frantically searched for them both. The room felt as though it were closing in on me. What did I do? And how did I do that?
I felt like a caged animal as my head darted around. If I were human, I'd be hyperventilating. The boys were saying something to each other but I couldn't compute what was being said.
"I gotta get out of here." I mumbled before I decided the window was my best option. We were on the second floor so it was a bit of a drop but it didn't faze me in the least.
"Why is it always the windows? There was a perfectly good door she could have used." I heard Peter mumble before I took off into the forest.
It was exhilarating—running through the forest. I could still see every minute detail of the leaves, dirt, and trees as well as the wild life as I zoomed by. I came to a slight clearing of the canopy where sunlight was shining through and stopped in my tracks. I reached my arm out into the light and was amazed at the way my arm glistened in the light. I always thought Edward was beautiful in the sunlight—though he didn't think so. How could you not? It was like a million tiny diamonds sparkling in the light.
I stepped further into the light and examined the way the light bounced off of my skin.
"Beautiful, Sugar." I heard Peter rasp with a smile from behind me. I whipped around, my eyes wide. How did he manage to sneak up on me?
He gave me a lopsided smile and closed in on me. I was distracted by the shine off his skin that I didn't hear Jasper until he came to the tree line but didn't step through; I wonder why?
My fingers trailed the various bite marks on his skin where the sun didn't quite catch the same. It brought a different depth to the colors being reflected off.
"Pete." I whispered then kissed his chest above where his heart would be. I felt his arms wrap around me for a moment before he extended one out towards Jasper.
"C'mere." He almost commanded and Jasper reluctantly obeyed, stepping into the light.
I couldn't take my eyes off of him as he came towards us. I had always thought he was a handsome man—back in Forks—but with my refined vision, he was breathtaking. The way his golden hair, wavy in its form, brushed his forehead as he almost swaggered in his walk was doing things to me that it hadn't back in Forks.
Pete and I both extended an arm out towards him and brought him into our circle. It was a swirl of lilac, cinnamon and cedar. My eyes were drawn to the bite mark on Jasper's neck. It was different than the others I saw scattered on the skin that was showing on his neck. It was thicker and more raised than the others and the light reflected off of it differently as well. I slightly cocked my head and brought my attention to my bite mark on Pete's neck. It looked exactly the same. I brought my eyes to Peter's.
"You marked Jasper." I whispered as I held his gaze. He was the first to break away as his eyes looked to the mark on Jasper's neck then to Jasper's butterscotch eyes.
"Yes." He admitted, his eyes still locked with Jasper's.
Somewhere I think this should have bothered me but there was no jealousy, no anger. If anything, it made me—hot. The thought of being with more than one man at once hadn't crossed my mind but a time or two and I dismissed it as fantasy.
"I don't think she minds, Pete." Jasper said with a smirk and then it occurred to me—they could smell my arousal. I brought my hands to cover my face. If I were human, I think I'd be the color of a tomato.
"It's ok, Darlin'." He said with a smirk.
"I'm so confused." I muttered, and then movement in the forest caught my attention. I pulled away from the men and dashed towards the movement. It was a doe.
Suddenly I could feel the burning in my throat. The Cullen's always drank from animals. I always thought that when I became a vampire, I would do that as well. But Peter drinks from humans and I can't picture his eyes anything other than the ruby red they were.
Without thought, I found my teeth at the neck of the doe, slurping the nasty blood down. Edward always made it seem like animal blood tasted good. This was terrible! Once she was drained, I pulled away, my face scrunched in disgust. I heard laughing from my left.
"How do you stand this, Jasper?" I asked, then he was standing in front of me, using the back of his hand to wipe the blood that fell down my chin. Apparently I am a messy eater.
He shrugged his shoulder and licked the back of his hand while holding my gaze. Something about it was erotic.
Something was bothering me though. It was an elephant in the forest.
"Jasper?"
"Yes, Darlin'?"
"Not that I am not ecstatic to see you, but how are you here? What about Alice?"
He brought his hand to my face then ran it up through my hair to rest on my neck for a brief moment before he spoke.
"My eyes were opened to Alice and what a manipulative shrew she is a little after the time we left Forks." He paused to make eye contact with me. "Bella, you have to know that I wanted to speak with you so badly before we left but Edward wouldn't allow it." He paused again. "And I think now I know why."
"What are you talking about?" Peter asked, steering me towards a tree stump. He sat and then pulled me into his lap. Jasper was a few feet from us, pacing slowly with his arms behind his back.
"I knew things with Alice were never exactly right. She and others told me we were mates and I believed them. When I met Alice—" he looked down and paused his pacing, "—when I met Alice, I was in a particularly low spot. The guilt from killing people was slowly killing me and I didn't know there could be another way." He took an unnecessary breath and continued pacing.
"I'd always known something was off about the way we just joined the Cullen's. Barely any time elapsed between meeting Alice and us becoming part of that coven." He shook his head. "And at the time, I was so desperate for a place to belong."
"Jas—" Peter started but Jasper cut him off.
"No, Pete, it wasn't your fault. It wasn't." Jasper insisted. This peaked my interest. Just what had happened?
He let out a long breath. "Alice told me she saw us as mates in her vision and had been waitin' for me for a long time. Then she told me about the Cullen's and how they only drank from animals." He smirked a little lopsided and looked at me.
"They do taste like shit."
I couldn't help but laugh. At least I'm not the only one that thought so.
"And drinkin' from animals, it helped me—mentally—but knowing what human blood tastes like? Then drinkin' from animals? That's like going from crème brulee to dollar store pudding."
He came to kneel in front of Peter and me and took my hands in his. His eyes looked up, pleading. "Bella, you have to know, my control is damn near impeccable, the night of your birthday party—"
I cut him off. "Jasper, there is nothing to forgive from that night. Nothing. I can only imagine the amount of bloodlust you were feeling with everyone else in the room. Then Edward had to go and make things a million times worse by throwing me into that table and mirror."
Peter let out a growl from behind me. I turned my head and kissed my mark on his neck, before turning my attention back to Jasper. I slid off of Peter's lap to my knees mirroring Jasper's stance.
"Please, forgive yourself for that night for there is nothing to forgive." I told him and he pulled me into a tight hug. We held on for several moments before pulling back simultaneously and smiled at each other.
He brought his hands to my face, his thumbs traced under my eyes. "We need to get you properly fed—Captain?" He said, looking up to Peter.
"Major." Peter replied.
"Major? Captain? Did I miss something?" I felt silly asking and must have projected because I felt a wave a reassurance hit me.
"That is a story for another time, Sugar." Pete said with a smile. "Now, you want to eat more bunnies or do you want to try it my way?"
"Sorry, Jasper." I looked to him before turning my attention to Peter. "But I think I'm gonna do it Pete's way."
Jasper put his hands up in surrender. "I don't blame ya there, Darlin'. I think I'm gonna try it Pete's way too."
Peter's eyes found Jasper's and they held gazes for several moments. Something must have silently passed between them then Peter nodded his head.
"Alright, let's get you fed and then Jasper can continue his story."
A/N: Thank you for your reviews and for continuing to read! So, Bella marked Pete and Pete marked Jasper. We are on our way of Pete and Bella learning more of what Jasper knows. Please let me know what you think about me "splitting" this story off at chapter 6 to continue this as a Bella/Peter/Jasper and the other solely Bella/Peter, Jasper would still be in the story but obviously his role would be different. A majority of reviews were for the poly story but I feel bad for the ones that want this to stay a Bella/Peter fic. I have ideas for both so it is doable. I appreciate you reading and taking the time to review!
