Chapter 14

Aleksander had the biggest smile on his face then he dropped his head and kissed Alina passionate. They were both smiling as they were kissing and when they come up for air Aleksander asked, "you know I'm not asking you to marry me for the babies it's because I want to spend me life with you. I love you Alina"

"I know" she replied kissing him and continued, "my heart was in love with you the moment I saw you it took my head longer to catch up. I'm ready now to be your wife your equal."

Aleksander put his hand around Alina face and kissed her again, "okay" he sated when they stopped kissing, "the question is do you want to get married here or back at home"

"As much as I want Genya there by the time we get back I will be almost 15 weeks, I'm already showing I rather get married here and Mal can be our witness."

"Okay hopeful Mal is still here ill get him to take you back to the tavern"

"No Aleksander I don't need to get change I just need you. I never was a girl who dream of her wedding im just an orphan. I don't want anything fancy just the man who wants to be my husband"

"Alina you maybe an orphan but you are also the Sun Summoner And I want to give you what you deserve. I want to "

Alina kissed him to stop his train of thought, when she was ready to speak she said, "Please shut up, and let's go to the church" and smirked

He smiled back at her and took her hand and walked back out to the deck, Mal was still standing there talking to a crew member as he thought he maybe needed. The crew member bowed to the General and walked off.

"Mal I need you to come with us" Aleksander told Mal

"okay" Mal replied shrugging his shoulders and looked at Alina her hand was still in the General and she was smiling.

They walked off the boat and headed into the town, Alina had moved under Aleksander arm and Mal was on her other side to protect. Mal was watching around whilst they were walking he had a feeling that someone was watching but he didn't want to scare Alina. By the time they got closer to the church that feeling of them being watched was gone and they slipped into the church.

No one was in the church so Mal offered to find the priest whilst Alina and Aleksander prepared. Mal found the priest in his office after he knocked on his door.

"Yes young man how can I help you"

Mal replied, "my best friend and her partner (Mal frowning at that comment then smile) would like you to marry them?"

"oh okay young man let me grab my things and I will be out."

Mal waited for the priest and then walked back to see the General and Alina hugging and Kissing.

Mal coughed and Alina stopped kissing the General and turned her head to the priest, the General kissed her head and turn to the Priest "Did our friend explain why we are here?"

The Priest smiled and kept walking toward the couple, "Yes your friend told me that you will like to get married to this young lady and I will be honoured I have never seen 2 people more in love"

Alina bit her lip smiling and turned back to Aleksander looking at him, "I do love her padre, she is my other half" Aleksander looked down at her and kissed her on the nose"

"I'm going to be sick" Mal joked and the Priest turn and smiled.

"okay get into place and we will get this wedding started." the priest said and walked to the end Alter. Alina and Aleksander moved to be in the front of the alter infront of the priest and Mal took a few steps forward so he was close to them.

The Priest started off with a prayer blessing the Alina and Aleksander and then went onto speak about love and commitment. However Alina and Aleksander were to engrossed with looking at each other showing each other thru their eye how much they truly love each other. The Priest and Mal noticed this and Mal rolled his hand over to let the Priest get to the vows. The Priest smiled winked and turn to Aleksander.

"I (and coughed to get Aleksander and Alina attention) I (Aleksander Morozova) take (Alina Starkov) for my lawfully wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse in sickness or in health until death do us part" both the Priest and Aleksander talking in the last part.

The Priest turned to Alina and they both said ,"I Alina Starkov take Aleksander Morozova for my lawfully husband to have and to hold from this day forward for better or worse in sickness or in health until death do us part"

"You have declared your consent before the church. May the lord in his goodness strengthen your consent and fill you both with his blessing. What God has joined; men must not divide. Amen.

They all replied "Amen"

"you can kiss your bride" the Priest said and Alina and Aleksander gave a short sweet kiss. The Priest took them to fill out registration book once they were finished they thanked the Priest and left.

As they walked thru town they hit the markets and music was being played, Aleksander noticed a few older couples for slow dancing to the music and he nodded at Mal to watch them as he took Alina to join them.

"I never really had an interest in dance classes when I was young." Alina told Aleksander

"Lucky for you I did, I will lead" Aleksander wrapped one hand around her waist and held his hand for her to accept. When she did he waltz her around the area with the other couple, they were both smiling, laughing .

Mal had tucked himself away looking at whoever was following them before, he could feel their presence but could not see anything. All of a sudden Inez showed up next to him,

"Shit, Inez don't scare me like that"

"Sorry i was following you, where did you going?" Inez asked

"Alina and the General needed to do something, they will tell people in due time"

"They look happy" she smiled at them

"I have never seen Alina that happy, I'm sorry I held her back and the General he is an okay guy" Inez gave him a shoulder bump when he said that last part, "we have spoken Inez I approve of the relationship and if he does the right thing for the people, I approve of him being our Tsar"

"Big word Mal"

From the other side of the market, "Once we have them separated, I will take her back to the Palace and marry the sun summoner"

"What about the Darkling?"

"You can have you revenge sweetheart"

And they disappeared into the shadows...
