Chapter 18
"let me go Prince Vasiliy?" Alina said as he held a knife to her neck and he hands tied behind her back
"No my lovely sun summoner I want to see the General's face when he see I have what he wants, I saw you dancing in town giggling away at him and the look he gave you. But my father, when the General ask for permission to marry you will say no to your union, as he wants you and I together. But I'm taking charge now after we get home you will marry me and become my Queen"
"No" Alina said then looked up to see her husband on the boat looking for her. When Aleksander saw her she mouthed "I love you"
"Nice to see you again General, my father found out what you did and decide to end all Grisha except the Sun Summoner And a few that are loyal to the crown" Vasiliy spoke when he saw the General looking at them
Vasiliy smiled at the Zoya and a cannon was fired at the boat, "No" Alina shouted out seeing Aleksander being hit She tried to lung forward but Vasiliy hauled her back into him.
"Forget about the General sun summoner you are mine"
"No I will never marry you" Alina growled and Vasiliy push her she fell on Mal's body and got knocked out.
When Alina awoke she looked around she was hoping being separated from Aleksander was just a nightmare but then she saw Genya on the end of the bed. Her face had been beaten, "Genya what.. what?" Alina said as she sat up trying to hide her bump
"Alina why can't I touch you?"
"Genya?" Alina said with an authoritative tone
"I'm on your side Alina I promised"
" first of all Genya you spied on me for the General pretending to be my friend (Genya looked down) and two your here with someone who wants to destroy Geisha. So start talking before I tell you anything"
"I told you the King was sick but he recovered quicker than I thought. Somehow they knew it was me and when I return to the Queen the guards grabbed and took me to the prison. I was beaten over and over again and was told not to heal myself, Vasiliy was going to execute me when the Queen told him that he was allowed to as I was one of a kind and she still needed her looks. I'm am hers but Vasiliy told her that he would need me for when they find you to get you ready for the wedding to him"
"well I'm not marrying that coward, so you don't have to worry there"
"okay just so you know Vasiliy stormed the little palace killing a few Grisha and taking the rest as hostages, he had Zoya with him so she stopped the killings. But if you don't marry Vasiliy he will kill the rest"
" He told Ale .. the General that he was going to end all Grisha"
"Alina" Genya gasped and tried to touch Alina's foot, all of a sudden Alina sunlight covered her body to stop Genya.
"Please Alina I'm your friend I'm not privy to everything that Vasiliy is doing, I'm only try to tell you things to prove I want our friendship again I miss you."
"where is Mal?"
"with David down in the cells"
"Is he safe?"
" Yes Mal is safe he isn't a threat"
"Thank you"
"Are you Mal finally together?"
"I'm not telling you prove yourself and I will tell you"
"okay" Genya accept Alina answer
"Are you hungry?" Genya asked as she got up to get the food
"God yes" Alina said quickly
Genya raised her eyes at Alina and brought a tray back. Alina was so hungry and started to wolf down the food down then realised she need to slow down.
She then saw the whip marks on Alina's neck, "what happen there Alina?" Genya pointed at her neck.
"Frejdan caught me and some friend they hurt the other Grisha I was with, the General saved me like he promised he would. I can feel him I just can't connect to him at the moment" Alina looked out the small windows of her room then back to Genya and started eating again
2 days later
Genya walked in while Alina was getting changed and saw her bump, Alina's powers had stop blocking Genya when she came to bring food or help Alina, she closed the door before she said, "your pregnant?"
"please" Alina begged
Genya looked at her and took her awhile but the she realised Alina was quite pregnant and said, "Powerful men"
Alina nodded and Genya stepped around the back of Alina to lace her up
"When?"
"After the Fete before I ran. I regret that now I shouldn't have run I should have talk to the General"
"Alina"
"I love him, the General he is the father, I miss him Genya, I hope he hurries up and recues me from this prison like he did last time" Alina started to tear up
"Oh Alina" and Genya hugged her.
"Your secret is safe with me I will protect you and your child. But your not going to fit into the dress Vasiliy wants you to wear."
"Yes no corset for me now" Alina smiled thru her tear.
Genya went down to Mal and David when she got Alina settled, she looked at Mal and whispered, "do you have a plan to save her and the (Genya put her hand on her stomach to signal the baby)"
Mal pulled out a plastic bag halfway then push it back in
"What is that?" Genya asked
"Its Alina's protection, I'm not going to tell you even she doesn't know I have it. But she will appreciate it, just so you know Genya she is strong and when she is put in the wrong position, she will fight out of it now"
"I hope so Mal for her sake and the other Grisha, Vasiliy plans to marry her and if she doesn't the Grisha will die"
"well he won't be happy when he can't and the General will hopefully ring his pretty little neck when he catches up"
"Mal they attacked with Canon there is no way anyone could of survive .. but she keeps saying that she is trying to connect to him?"
"when they are not together they can appear or talk to each other? I'm not sure how it works neither one of them can explain it?"
"she said she could feel him so there could of been survivors, yes let's hope there were a lot of friend on the boat"
