Chapter 26
Alina looked shock at her husbands speech.
Roman noticed this and stated to the council, "we should take a recess and come back in 30 minutes"
The other men agreed and left the room leaving Alina, Aleksander and Mal.
"Why did ... in 5 months I'm going to be ..." Alina tried to spit out looking at Aleksander with tears in her eyes she didn't understand what he was doing. Aleksander sat down and opened his mouth when Mal cut him off
"Alina if I may, Aleksander may not know everything you did the other day when we came back to the Capital. But you were injured, healed and ran back out to the centre to stop the civil war that was going to happen. You took control of the situation and when you came back here you did the same, you may not have been born into it but you have become something stronger and you can do this with all of our help."
Alina looked at Mal, then at Aleksander and frowned, "Besides your husband has a big enough ego that he can handle the strong women you have become" Mal smiled and walked off.
Alina gave him the evils as he left the room then gave Aleksander an angry look, he put his hand up in surrender and smirked, "I am going smack your best friend, and yes I was told what you did Alina and I was so proud"
"Aleksander I can't do this" Alina frowned as she walked to him, he placed his hands on her bump and kissed it and looked up into her face
"Alina I was told what you did how you took charge, I know when we spoke this wasn't the plan but things have changed. Everyone sees you as a Saint, a goddess. (Alina scoffed and more tears came down her cheeks) Alina you won everyone over with what you did. People still fear me, the enemy fear me and I know my goal is Grisha and their safety. With you the enemy doesn't know what your end goal is, will it be grisha, commoners or both. And in any case once the negotiations are over with the Shu and Frejdan we will be looking to Ravka and how to make it better, knowing you, you will fight to make sure everyone is equal."
"what about my pregnancy and the fold?" Alina asked
"Alina we are all here for you so when you need to stop let us know we will take over or we can make sure to take time for ourselves to rest. I won't let you go down the path you went the other day I was scared I would lose you all." Aleksander said looking sad
"And the fold Aleksander are we destroying it or .."
"Alina" Aleksander looked around the room then sighed and looked back at her, "we leave the fold for now, I'm not sure how you and the babies will be affected if we try and do .."
"but I have been working on my powers .."
"Yes I was told you used the cut expanding it further then I could and using your orbs and turning them into fireworks the amplifiers are working .."
"I could make a tunnel .."
"You were dizzy last time you did that Alina" Aleksander stood up grabbing her hands
"How did .. silly me we were connected" Alina rolled her eyes
"My Tsarina we are still connected, please realise as much as I want to destroy the fold. You and our children are my priority I need you healthy, I need to see you alive after you give birth. I can't lose you .." tears started spilling down his cheeks
Alina looked shocked she didn't realise how scared Aleksander was of losing them, she took her hands out of his and moved them to around his face , standing on her tip toes she kissed him passionately. When they separated Aleksander looked down at Alina and said "Not many people surprise me Miss Starkov"
Alina looked shock then giggled, "that Mrs Kirigan to you and I Love you Aleksander I promise I will look after myself and our babies. And we will talk about the fold after I give birth"
Alina kissed Aleksander again and he lifted her up and then sat back down on the chair he began to move her dress so he could access her. Alina could feel what he was doing and helped move the skirt up for him to have a better access, he moved his hand slowly to her centre and smiled stopping their kiss.
"No small clothes my Tsarina" he smirked
As Alina went to answer but Aleksander pushed 2 fingers inside her and she groaned quietly, "oh my love" Aleksander whispered in her ear then kissing her neck, "we have to be quick so this is for your pleasure only."
"Aleksander please I need you" Alina groaned in his neck
"I'm okay when we are together tonight I will make love you to you but for now" Aleksander kept his ministrations going thrusting his fingers into Alina, she wrapped her hands even tighter around his neck enjoying the pleasure been recieved
"Please, Please Aleksander I need to come.." she said as she lifted her head
"Alina you are so wet its dripping down my hand come when you are ready"
Alina grinded herself against his hand so she could come all of a sudden she saw white, Aleksander watched as she lit up he used his shadows to cover what they were doing. Her eye went white as she reached her high and began to speak in old Ravka and then collapse down on Aleksander.
Aleksander was concerned as she had never used her powers when they were together, when she got her breath back she spoke, " Aleksander that was wonderful"
"It sure was" he frowned, Alina noticed the frown in his voice and looked up,
"what's wrong?" she asked
"I didn't know you knew old Ravka?" he asked
Alina opened her mouth and then closed then replied, "I don't Aleksander I don't even remember how to speak shu, what.."
"When you came your eyes went white, you glowed and you stated to speak old Ravka I couldn't quiet get what was said before you passed out"
Alina frowned, "have I ever glowed when we are together?"
"no, so after we finish this meeting I'm going to get Patty to give you a once over then I'm going to speak to Baghra about the amplifiers"
"okay" Alina was a little worried placing her hands over her children, Aleksander did as well but then they were interrupted by a knock. ..
After the meeting Aleksander took Alina back to the Little Palace so she could rest in their room and to Patty who was in the Little Palace doing some teaching. When Patty arrived in the room Aleksander explained to Patty what happened, with Alina blushing as she couldn't talk. Patty used her powers to check Alina over then took some blood to do some testing and left saying she would come back when she had the results. Aleksander tucked Alina into their bed leaving Mal in front of their suite door with Freydor whilst he and Ivan went to see Baghra.
When he arrive at the hut he asked Ivan to stay put whilst he spoke to her, Aleksander knocked on the door getting the normal, "come inside and close the door quickly"
When he got downstairs he saw Baghra knitting she looked up, "what do you want boy?" and went back to her knitting
He knew then she was in a bad mood, "Mother what do you know of amplifiers?"
" I know your poor wife has 4 of them"
"She doesn't??" Aleksander questioned
"she does when I touched her stomach I could feel their amplified powers and what I witnessed from her at the Capital she has help from them to. She is powerfully enough to bring down the fold if you desire?" Baghra questioned him
"I don't know if I want to do that whilst she is pregnant or if I want to bring it down or punch a hole thru it joining Ravka back together"
"You need to decide quickly boy, she has 2 types of amplifiers which nobody has ever done it will make her the most powerful Grisha ever and maybe even after they are born their powers will lingers. I'm sure she will see some minor side affects"
"Speaking in old Ravka?"
"yes that wouldn't surprise me since both sets of amplifiers are from the old Morozova family line"
"glowing?"
"Like call to like, she must finally be in love with you my boy."
Aleksander huffed and smiled, "I gave her the Tsarina and told her and the other I would be her husband but stand with the other councilmen to guide her. I never felt like this with anyone even Luda I finally feel whole. Mom why didn't.."
"Your father was a good man but a commoner he died after you were born, he wasn't my other half but he was close"
That was the most Baghra had ever told Aleksander, "Thanks mum, I'm going to check on Alina and I will let you keep knitting"
Baghra sighed "if your wife has time I will show her how to knit so you will have clothes for your babies"
"Thanks, I will let her know"
