The news had been rough on everyone, but somehow Jacob began to make sense of it all. Awaking only 29 minutes after fainting he seemed troubled at first. Optimus had reached deep within the matrix only to find it had some wisdom on this little revelation. A back up plan by primus himself, Optimus mused as music played from a album he didn't recognize. Adjusting his hands he clasped them at the small of his back.
"So he's technically one of you but part human. Ok we got that but why?" Jack half confused said.
"Because he is a back up plan by primus. In case something were to happen I can only assume" Optimus responded as well as he could.
The fact primus when though the trouble of creating a new reality to breed a back up of somekind sent uneasy messages through every one of them. It also made the nightmares make more sense…warnings for the future.
"Either way it's not like this will change how we treat him" Bulkhead said lending his words.
He was right. Jacob had earned his place much like the others. To suddenly treat one differently was a deeply bad move.
"Thanks" Jacob said hollowly.
With hands on the railing his eyes shifting from side to side. His shock glued to his face in a subtle position.
"But why didn't the scraplets go after him?" Arcee asked curiously.
Jacob shrugged.
"I dunno, maybe my flesh did something I don't know" He added in response with just as much confusion as everyone else.
{Lucky you} Bumblebee beeped as he gestured to his scratches and dents with dismay.
Jacob still didn't understand a word and just nodded in agreement. It didn't take much to see Jacob still didn't understand him at all. June who had arrived sometime ago looked unamused and was struggling to believe it still.
"So he's a cyborg...my god this can't get any weirder" June said with heavy hands.
Jack brought his eyes onto her and warmly smiled.
"Depends on what you find weird, Besides you weren't supposed to figure out till three months later I recall correctly" He paused. "But the damage is already done and I'm not gonna bitch about it" Jacob finished with a heavy sigh.
June looked at him oddly and retorted.
"We'll sorry future boy but luckily I did or you'd be dead!" She was right to a degree, Not exactly death as she put it.
"Of course, lucky you you did come in early" Jacob responded half cryptically.
June was perplexed by this and so was everyone else. Jacob then stood straight and walked over to the record player and flipped it to side 2. Letting the needle gently down a light crackle sounded before the music kicked in. Sitting on the chair he slumped deeply sighed deeply. I'm gonna have to deal with Airachind...fuck. He thought disgruntled. His dark hair was the only thing that could be seen over the chair as he looked even more uneasy.
Arcee stepped over and saw the look. A look she had when tailgate met his end. Horror absolute horror. She didn't know what it was for but it wasn't good that's for sure.
Optimus looked over Ratchets scans once more. His face curious as he looked over every detail of the internals. A spark, t-cog, processor, energon waste disposal hooked into the previous ones their was even a port which could extend it if needed. An interesting meld of human and Cybertronian biology. Had had ready the theory back when he was a data clerk at iacon. It was deemed to extreme by the Council, even though they were content with slave labor which Megatron had been victim to. After it all it came back to the forefront of his mind. Megatron would have found this incredible if he hadn't broke and declared war against me. Optimus mused.
Death's head kicked up the stand as he rolled the black motorcycle down the road. Dirt kicked into air as he drove on. Increasing speed he felt the wind on his metallic body. Such a primitive machine, he really couldn't understand why the autobots and cons would take on such forms like these. Who was he to make such a statement given he disguised himself as a native. All you had to do was find the nemesis and which would lead him to Optimus prime and Allston. Their deaths will ensure Primus never returns. He reminded himself coldly. As you continue down the road he smiled coldly. Allston most likely wouldn't be too much trouble to kill. Unless primus had something in mind that he didn't know about. No delusions of grandeur, just kill the boy and then prime. He thought speeding up.
Ratchet saw the schematics Jacob had drawn up. It was a small sword like weapon, a laser sword. The schematics were as detailed as he could wish. Everything had been planned out. Everything from the focusing lenses to the internal small battery design.
"Is it possible?" Jacob asked.
Ratchet giving The high detail schematics one more look over nodded in surprise.
"From a dream?" Ratchet asked.
"Yes" Jacob responded.
"I'll run it by Optimus so don't get your hopes up" Ratchet said giving Jacob a nod.
Jacob nodded.
"Thank you" He said before walking off.
The base was almost empty. Aside from Optimus, Ratchet, Arcee and himself it was surprisingly quiet. No wonder ratchet liked it this way. Jacob thought reaching the human platform. Now that I thought about it none of the kids really talk to him much, often just to make sure of something. Jacob frowned. It's my high school experience all over again. He remarked grimly. And I'm alone, nobody I know...just here with them. He thoughton in even more dismay. Shaking the feelings away he moved over to his car and opened it. Reaching into the backseat he pulled out a small box of DVD's.It wasn't much but it was the closest he would getto go home. Bringing the box over to the platform he set them all lined up on the shelf. Staring at them all evenly for a few minutes he sighed deeply. Looking over Ratchet saw Jacob depressed.
"You alright?" He asked placing a hand on the scanner.
"Physically yes, just depressed" Jacob said standing to full height. "I just never expected any of this. I'm honoured but way out of my depth" Jacob added pulling an album out.
"You're not sure of yourself. Had that when I have graduated the medical Academy" Ratchet said Sharing a bit of himself.
Jacob smirked and laid the record onto the turntable. Dropping the needle on track one it began to crackle for a few seconds. A mono pressing of a artless album began playing. Upon seeing the lack of art Ratchet looked at first confused. Pure white cover with a name pressed into it. The Beatles. He read to himself. Suddenly the sound of a high pitched jet engine played till the tires touched the ground and the music kicked in.
