BINGO!
Prompt 33
Somewhere along the way of fighting side by side, staying up all night chatting about nothing, other friendship things, I've fallen in love with you.
Ginny had determined that today was the day. She'd known for years that she fancied Harry. Her little girl crush had caused her more embarrassment than she was willing to admit to. But somewhere along the way of trying to move on by dating other people, somewhere after all the times she'd stood and fought alongside him, somewhere after they'd grown close enough to sit and chat about nothing, Ginny realized that her little girl crush was gone and in its place was what she could only describe as love.
Today was the day she was going to tell him, and what better way than to start off the conversation that she'd caught the Snitch and won the House Championship?
Ginny looked back at the portrait hole, wishing for it to open. He had to be done with Snape's detention by now. Where was he? She was trying to think of a valid excuse to leave and find him when she heard the door open.
Time stood still as she looked over at him, hair in every direction, green eyes piercing into her soul, his lips turned up slightly to the left, Harry had finally made it back. Ginny didn't let herself think, she ran. Vaguely she heard the screams of her housemates, in the corner of her eye she caught sight of Ron brandishing the Cup, but she shoved it all aside and pushed through the crowd till she felt Harry's arms wrap around her.
And to her great pleasure, his lips claimed hers.
Ginny threw herself into his kiss. If she never got this chance again, she was going to savor it. His lips were soft, tentative at first, but when she sighed against him he seemed to gain some confidence in what he was doing and deepened the kiss, his tongue pleading entrance which she happily granted. Harry's hands pressed into her back holding her closer, and Ginny pulled herself against him, desperately wanting to make every intention she had clear.
It was the kind of kiss you get lost in and lost in it Ginny was. When Harry parted from her lips, allowing her to draw a much needed breath, it took her a good thirty seconds to remember where she was, outside of Harry's arms. But then he looked down at her and jerked his head towards the door.
Ginny smiled and let him wrap his arm around her shoulders, leading her out of the common room.
Today was certainly the day.
