On Saturday, January 12th, 2019, a few minutes after Lily had found her cat, Harry spoke and asked, "Lily, do you feel up to playing a simple trivia game with me?"
"Sure, why not?" answered Lily.
"For each question you get right I will give you a Hershey's Kiss, " explained Harry.
"Yum!" said Lily eagerly.
"Once you get a question wrong, " said Harry in a businesslike voice, "The game is over."
"I understand, " said Lily seriously.
"Okay then, " began Harry, "What literary character, just before his death, said, "If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, the world would be a merrier place" and in what book did he or she say this quote?"
"Thorin Oakenshield in the Hobbit," answered Lily at once, "A heartbreaking death for one of my favorite characters, but I'm glad he gave us such a wonderful quote before he snuffed it."
"Correct, Lily, " said Harry happily, "What breed of dragon is considered by most to be the most dangerous."
"The Hungarian Horntail, " replied Lily instantly, "You know that all too well after facing one in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire."
"Too true!" said Harry wryly. "You're still in the game. What two presidents died on the same day on the 4th of July in 1826."
"The second and third presidents, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, " piped up Lily.
"You're on a roll, Lily, " said Harry proudly, "In what year was the Ministry of Magic established and in who was the first person to hold the title of Minister for Magic?"
"The Ministry of Magic was established in 1707 and Ulick Gamp was the First Minister for Magic., " supplied Lily a nanosecond later.
"Correct, " said Harry glowingly, "You're doing really well, Lily. So, in the first Narnia book, there is a horse who belonged to a cabby. This horse was originally named Strawberry. What did Aslan rename him?"
"Fedge," guessed Lily.
"Ouch!" said Harry, "I'm guessing you just mispronounced it, but I have to take it as a wrong answer. Fledge is the correct answer."
"I did mean to say Fledge and it didn't come out right, " admitted Lily, "But that's okay, I still won four Hershey's Kisses. That's not so bad."
"Six, " Harry corrected her, "Two of the four questions you answered correctly were two part questions. It's only fair you win a Hershey's Kiss for each part."
"That's nice, " smiled Lily.
Harry dug his hand into his left hand pocket with his left hand and retrieved a bag of Hershey's Kisses from it.
Harry opened the bag, pulled out six Hershey's Kisses that he tossed to Lily, and put the bag back in his pocket.
Eating her first Hersey's kiss, Lily declared, "Awesome!" out loud as she savored the chocolate goodness.
