It had been three years since the last war against Voldemort, and all Draco Malfoy could do was think about the "what ifs". He currently sat in his father's old study, watching the house elves clear out every little thing Lucius ever collected pertaining to the Dark Arts. A copy of The Daily Prophet sitting in front of him, Hermione Granger and Harry Potter's faces smiling up at him from the front page.

"Two-thirds of the Golden Trio have officially been accepted to the Ministry of Magic for their new positions. Ms. Granger is now in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Beings. She is quoted saying this about her position; 'I'm honored being accepted as a writer of laws foe the Department. My goal is to stop illegal control and breeding of our wonderful creatures, make House Elves rights into law and to make sure we have the means to helps those who have lycanthropy are able to afford the potions they will need.'. As for Mr. Potter, he passed his Auror training with flying colors. He is quoted here saying this of his new position; 'I'm truly honored that I have been accepted as an Auror. I dedicated so much time to my studies and training to get here. I will do everything in my power to catch those are still at large from the war.'"

"As to where the third member of the Trio has been, it's been told to us that after failing his training for Auror, he went off to Romania to study with his older brother."

Draco sat back in the oversized armchair and sighed. His biggest 'what if' lately has been going back and changing every thing to do with his time at Hogwarts. Maybe if he wouldn't have been so stuck up things would have been different. He could be an Auror like Harry like he always wanted to be. Maybe he could have befriended Granger and not let blood prejudice get in the way. Maybe he could have convinced his Mother to leave before Voldemort destroyed everything.

"Excuse me, sir."

Draco came to from his thoughts to see Mipsy standing in front of him. "Yes, Mipsy?"

"We has gathered all of dark artifacts and have them in Master's trunk" She replied, wringing her hands together.

Draco nodded. "Here. Take this and the trunk to the Ministry. They'll know what to do with it."

Mipsy took the envelope and disappeared after nodding her understanding. After she disappeared, Draco left the study and went to the library. It had been his sanctuary since he was a child. He went to the back corner nook, pulled down one of the ancient books from the stack on the table and began to read. Hours passed before he knew it and it wasn't until Mipsy popped in that he realized it was time for dinner.

"I'll have dinner here tonight, Mipsy. Don't feel much for the dining table." He said to her, rubbing his eyes. Mipsy nodded the snapped her fingers and food appeared in front of him.

While he ate, his mind drifted back to his 'what if' moments. He wished he could go back and change the past, but he knew no such thing could happen. He sighed, finishing his meal and deciding to carry his plate and goblet to the kitchens on his way to bed.

"This just come for you, sir." Mipsy held an envelope out to him. He took it as he placed his dishes in her hands.

Draco,

I know what you wish for. It is possible to change the past. I can help. Join me tomorrow at 12 for lunch. Come to Diagon Alley and go to Ollivander's old shoppe to the top floor.
