Modern world - Tenten

Tenten was surprised. Neji's food was delicious! it actually tasted like something, and something extremely good!

At first they had some troubles cooking together, seeing as her place was the tiniest flat she had ever seen, but after some adjustments, they we're able to cook in harmony.

Now that her tummy was full, Neji showed her a video about guns. Needless to say, Tenten was liking what she saw.

"Wow, guns are awesome!" Tenten was amazed at how precise some guns could be even when miles away. If she wanted to have such accuracy with a kunai, the amount of strength she would need to use would be huge, while with a big weapon called rifle, one that she reminded seeing something like in her 'storage', could do that easily, you just needed to adjust the aim, but that was he's specialty anyway.

"Yes, you do love weapons..." Neji sighed, "I, on the other hand, would like if people didn't need to use it. It would do my job much easier, saving people and all" Tenten smiled sympathetically.

While it was truth that she loves weapons, and had taken more lives that she could count, she never felt good doing so. Always, when possible, she would just injury enough without the need of killing, but it were rare the occasions were you had the luxury of thinking and aiming where you could stab someone to incapacitate and not kill. It was usually a kill or die situation.

"Tenten?" Neji's voice snapped her out of her thoughts.

"Oh! Sorry!" She smiled sheepishly at him, having ignored him for some solid minutes probably.

"I'm the one sorry, I didn't mean that... I know that you don't like to hurt people" he told her, scratching the back of his head in guilt. She blinked, did he think that she was sad about his comment?

"Don't worry, wasn't angry or anything. I was just... thinking" she reassured him, smiling brightly. Neji gave a small smile and nod before clearing his throat.

"It's getting late, and I better go... will you be ok by yourself?" Was he really concerned for a skilled shinobi? Tenten laughed.

"Don't worry, the only thing I need right now is a shower and sleep. I'm beat!" This body of hers had almost no stamina if compared with her other one! She just did some stunts and bam! No more chakra!

"Ok" Neji looked at her for a little longer, then getting up, he headed outside. "Don't leave, I'll be back tomorrow morning to drive you to your work." He ordered, and Tenten had to roll her eyes. Always the bossy one.

"Ay ay sir" she waived him off, "now go have your beauty sleep" Neji opened his mouth to reply, but shut it close again, just grunting and leaving. Tenten grinned, it was so much fun teasing him.

"Now now" she started walking towards her 'closet', "let's test some beauties."

She was surprised that the neighbors didn't make a noise complain. She figured they were too scared to do so, or it was a common thing...

Modern world - Neji

Neji felt guilty. He complained about weapons, in front of the weapons mistress, the woman he loved. Well, at least it wasn't his version of the woman he loved, but what if it impacted how she saw the other Neji? He would have to make up for that tomorrow.

And so tomorrow came, and Neji made sure to arrive early at the bakery to get freshly made muffins for him and her, and the coffee Tenten usually liked, hopping that this Tenten would also like it. Getting himself some coffee too, he headed to where the woman lived. Arriving at her flat, he knocked the door, and waited for her to open it.

Not long after, a half sleeping woman opened the door. He held back a chuckle upon seeing her hair tied in a messy bun and half her eyes half open.

"Morning" she greeted him with a groggy voice, then headed back inside, to the bathroom. He followed her inside and closed the door.

"Good morning" Neji settled the pantry bag on her small table, sitting himself and waiting patiently for her to get out of the bathroom. After a while, she emerged in a more awake state, her hair fixed in her twin buns.

"Smells nice" she commented, stalking at where the bag that he brought was. Neji smiled, openning the bag and handing her the coffee.

"I brought some muffins, and this coffee for you. You usually like this one" her eyes lit up at the mention of coffee, and he mentally congratulated himself, he was doing things right apparently.

"Why thank you!" She took the cup from his hands, taking a sip. "This is good" she commented, happily drinking the contents of the cartoon cup.

"Glad that you like it" Neji took his own coffee, proceeding to serve the muffins he had bought.

Smiling, Tenten sat herself on the other side of her table, and they ate breakfast in comfortable silence.

"So" after finished, Neji started to tell her about today's schedule, "you will have to go to work, I'll tell Lee to go easy on you. I have work, so I won't be able to accompany you around until my shift is over. Until then, please behave" he finished, giving her a pleading stare. She eyed him innocently.

"What do you mean behave? I'll be the best cop this city ever saw!" She grinned. Neji looked at her skeptical, but said nothing, as something else caught his attention after a while.

"Tenten, is that a bullet mark?" There was a hole he wasn't familiar in the far wall behind her. Tenten followed where his eyes were aimed at.

"Oops" she laughed, "I wasn't used to the recoil, and missed the practice target. But I can guarantee now that I'm used to it 100 percent!" She gave him a thumbs up while winking an eye. Neji sighed, he just hoped that everything went ok today, and no more holes appeared.

Shinobi world - Tenten

After dinner, Neji walked her back to her apartment, saying his goodbyes and that he would be there in the morning. Feeling tired mentally from the events that transpired by the day, Tenten fixed herself a shower and hit the bed. Only to be awaken too goddamn early.

"Tenten?" As much as she liked Neji's voice, it was too early to leave bed.

"Tenten" if she ignored him, he would leave right?

"Tenten" as if that ever happened. Groaning, she opened her eyes, and it was no surprise that it was still dark.

"What?" Her voice was coarse from sleep. Neji smiled a little.

"It's time to wake up..." he said, and he had to be kidding. Looking at the clock beside her bed, she saw as it was 5am still. Who the F woke up at 5 am? She always woke up at 7 or 7:30 to be at work by 8!

"Neji, it's too early to wake up. It's bloody five in the morning! It's still dark outside!" She complained, and Neji chuckled.

"It's the time we always go to spar" now she was sure he was kidding.

"You really want to spar? Remember that I don't have a clue how to use the chakra thingy and would be no match for your ultra-speed" Her eyes had already adjusted to the darkness, and she could see that Neji looked at her, and for a second she thought that maybe he would let her go back to sleep.

"That's why we need to practice, so you learn how to use your chakra" but of course that wasn't happening.

"Can't I be treated like a civilian?" She moaned, she really wanted at least two more hours of sleep.

"You have a reputation to maintain, you know" he said, and she exhaled loudly.

"Fine! Let's go do this ridiculously early ninja magic training! But you are buying me lunch!" She jumped out of the covers, and soon realized her mistake.

While she was sure it wasn't that bad, she just slept in a shirt that reached only her belly and panties... It was the first thing she found after the shower after all! But Neji being the gentleman that he was, kept staring, face growing a darker shade at each second passed.

"Ahem, would you please excuse me?" She crossed her arms in front of her chest, not noticing that it made somewhat worse, as it highlighted her bobbies.

Neji's eyes snapped at her chest direction, then snapping himself awake quickly, looked at her eyes. She would've smirked at how wide his eyes were and how hilarious his embarrassed expression was, but she needed to maintain her angry facade right now. Also, she was happy to have this reaction out of him, she should try something like this with her Neji.

"Ah," Neji cleared his throat, looking away, "I'll- I'll water the plants" and Neji was gone like the wind. Tenten muffled a laugh, that made waking up at this incredulous hour a little more bearable.

Switching the lights on her dorm, she looked for a pair of clothing that would be fit for exercising. She decided that something like she wore the day before would be do, as they were very comfortable and weren't tight. Not because she saw five pairs of the same clothes that she wore the other day, hinting that it was what the other Tenten wore on her every day.

Going downstairs, she was surprised to see that Neji was indeed watering her plants. She couldn't resist but laugh.

Shinobi world - Neji

Well, that was something. Even in the dark, he could clearly see all of her, thanks to his advanced eyesight. And he was really pleased with what he saw, so much that he couldn't stop staring. When she crossed her arms in front of her, it highlighted some assets that he was very pleased to see without a bra or a sports bra. But then he remembered that he was staring, and she was glaring at him, probably angry that he was being somewhat a pervert.

So, he said the first thing that came to mind, watering plants. That's how he found himself actually doing that, watering plants, in order to see if he could place the images aside and focus on the things he still had to do. He also needed to do that to see if his pants would stop being so tight. A laugh claimed his attention.

Turning around, he saw Tenten, now fully dressed, and his integrity thanked that. Clearing his throat, he was still somewhat embarrassed, but thankful that he didn't have a bulge anymore.

"I-" he started, but Tenten lifted a hand for him to stop. Controlling her laugh, she grinned at him.

"Let's eat breakfast and go to practice, shall we?" Neji was thankful that she was taking it lightly, sparing him the shame of trying to explain himself and simply moving on.

"Hai, I can at least make some eggs" he offered, and she nodded, smiling.

After they finished eating their breakfast, Neji walked her towards the training grounds he and Tenten normally use. When they arrived, the sun was starting to show itself.

"It's nice in here, there's so much green!" Tenten cheered. Neji nodded smiling, Konoha was indeed a nice place to stay, it was just a little too hot on summers, but nothing that a nice tree shade wouldn't solve.

"It is. Now, let's begin you training"

Modern world - Tenten

She didn't remember the last time she could wake up this late, usually she would be up before six or even sooner, if Neji was around, so her mood was already good. Neji bringing her some good coffee and muffins only made it better. Now, fully awake and with full stomach, Neji drove her to her station, where she was greeted by an overly enthusiastic and dramatic Lee and Guy.

"Tenten! Our beautiful flower! We are so glad to see you well!" Well, at least some things never changed. Lee and Guy cried rivers of tears, hugging her, not so tightly as they used to hug her on her world, but still tightly.

"I'm so sorry for yesterday! I shall do 200 squats to make up for that!" Lee cried when he let her go.

Guy let go of her, looking straight to Lee's eyes.

"Lee, is that how you will apologize?" Guy told him in a stern voice. Lee gaped.

"You are right, Guy-San! That wouldn't do! I shall do a thousand squats in order to apologize!" Now he was getting closer to the crazy numbers the Lee on her world did.

"Lee" Guy placed a hand on Lee's shoulder, "I'm so proud of you!" Tears started to stream down his cheeks. Lee also started to cry rivers of tears. Rainbows appeared behind them, a weird light illuminating them.

"Guy-san!"

"Lee!"

"Guy-san!"

"Lee!"

"Will you two listen up?" And Neji still had his short temper when this happened. Ahh, things here were just like home.

Lee and Guy looked at Neji, who pinched the bridge of his nose.

"I need to be at work soon, so I'll make it quick. She is to take it easy today. And please, don't let her near the arsenal." Awn, why not the arsenal? That sounded fun. Tenten pouted.

"Yessir!" Both saluted Neji, who sighed and turned to Tenten.

"Please behave, something happens, call me" he said, and left in a hurry, probably late for his duty. She would've said that he never taught her about cellphone, in fact, she also forgot it at her flat, but he just marched out of there.

"Ok, so what to do?" She turned to Lee and Guy, who smiled at her.

"What about a spar?" Ohh, she would like that.

The spar went splendid, and as she predicted, Lee also wasn't nearly a tenth as fast as how he was in her world, ending with her beating him easily. Boy that felt good.

"Wow Tenten! I don't see why Neji advised you to take it easy, you're exhaling youthfulness today!" Lee, after having his ass handed by her, beamed in excitement and proudness.

"Exactly!" Guy, that supervised the whole battle, agreed, a hand on his chin as he voiced his thoughts, "I don't see why not let you run free on the streets!"

"Ah, thank you, Guy-sen, I mean, Guy-san" she smiled at them, happy. Guy nodded.

"Lee! You and Tenten are set to do a patrol now! On that area" Guy said, the last sentence came in a darker tone. Lee's eyes widened.

"That area?"

"Yes, that area. Let your youthfulness bring justice and safety for the people of the Sound neighborhood!" Lee gave them a thumbs up, while smiling his usual blinding smile. Lee beamed.

"Yes! Guy-san!" Lee gave him his own version of blinding smile.

"Yes, Guy-san" Tenten was less enthusiastic, but smiled anyway. A less shining smile.

And so they went. Getting on the car, Tenten automatically went to the passenger's seat, she wouldn't risk trying to drive something like this. Lee took the wheel and started speeding.

"So, what about this Sound neighborhood?" She asked out of curiosity. Lee gave her a confusing look. Tenten noted that he was driving way faster than Neji, but chose to say nothing.

"It's the most dangerous neighborhood of Konoha! You know that!" He told her, and she smacked herself mentally. Sound euqals Orochimaru and his gang of the past, of course it would mean danger.

"Ah, of course! I just forgot about it" she gave an awkward laugh. Lee just shrugged, proceeding to speed even more. She wondered if it wasn't safer for her to drive the car.

Thanks to Lee speeding, they arrived at the neighborhood quite fast. Slowing down considerably, they started their patrol. Tenten didn't know what to do much, so she just kept a watch over anything suspicious, Lee seemed to do the same.

"So, did Neji cook for you last night?" Lee asked, his voice suggestive. Tenten cursed, did he knew something about her feelings?

"Ahh, yes" she said, not looking at him.

"Mmhmm, he does take good care of you" he told her, and she frowned. What was he getting at?

"Huh?"

"I mean, he does take care of you, always had, and I know he will always look after you" was he insinuating something?

"He is an awesome friend, and me too will always look out for him. You too, are an awesome friend that I'll always help" she grinned at him. Lee gave her an odd look.

"I'm sure" he grinned, " I'm just saying that Neji threats you different, you're his priority no -" he stopped the car suddenly, and she didn't need to look much to see what was happening. A robbery.

A white haired guy and a chubby man with orange hair were assaulting an old couple. Immediately stepping into action, Tenten left the car, ignoring Lee's cry for her to stop. She couldn't just stay and watch.

Her instincts kicking in, she quickly approached the robbers, placing herself between them and the old couple. They stepped back, shocked at her velocity. She smirked, she easily had the upper hand.

"Who are-" the chubby didn't get to finish, as she quickly kicked him, hard, on the stomach. The man passed out immediately.

"What the fuck!?" The white-haired man was astonished, and she would have kicked him too, if Lee didn't get him firsts. Using the attention Tenten gathered, Lee sneaked behind the man, hitting a point of the man's neck and blacking him out.

She grinned, that was a job well done by her standards. Lee smiled too.

"Thank you, officers" the old woman smiled sweetly.

"Yes, thank you. We were just heading home when these thugs approached us"

"Worry not! We were only doing our duty!" Lee bowed at them. He then started to handcuff the unconscious robbers.

"Exactly" bowing as well, Tenten smiled at the old couple.

The couple bowed and went on their way. Grinning happily, Tenten helped Lee drag the men towards the patrol car, and once inside, Lee glowed at her.

"That was awesome! You were so fast, so decisive, so awesome!" She smiled at him, she felt good about it too.

"I guess I'm inspired today" she giggled.

"Well, we better head back and take these guys to the station. We also need to report to Guy-san " Lee started the car, speeding again towards their station.

Guy was in ecstasy. Apparently, the guys they apprehended were two members of a very dangerous gang from that had its base on the sound. Kimimaro and Jirobo.

"Excellent job! I knew that sending you two there would bring wonderful results. Now we'll be able to question them and find out more about their gang. I'm so proud of you" Guy smiled bright fully, Tenten and Lee smiled too.

"You had to see how awesome Tenten was, Guy-san!" Lee exclaimed. Guy nodded.

"I'm sure of it. She demonstrated extreme signs of youthfulness all the time today!" Guy exclaimed as well. Why everything needed to be about youth? Tenten mused.

"I'm just feeling good today" she dismissed them, but they insisted on raining praises to her. It wasn't necessary, but it did good for her ego.

"Anyway, now you shall take it easy for the rest of the day. Why not practice your aim at the shooting gallery?" Guy told them, and her eyes shined.

"Can I check out any weapon of the arsenal?" She really wanted to see what was inside their arsenal.

"Sure, do as you please!" Guy laughed, leaving them be.

"Show the way!" She turned to Lee, bouncing in excitement. Lee nodded and started to walk, Tenten followed him right after. After a while, they arrived in front of a double doors, and when inside, she had tears in her eyes.

So. Many. Weapons!

Modern world - Neji

He couldn't stop worrying about her all day long. Sure, she was more than capable of handling herself, but what if she lost consciousness in the middle of something, like, what if the dimensional switches happened out of nowhere? He wasn't an expert of this thing, and that only made him worry more. He liked knowing things. She also didn't answer any of his messages, but then he remembered that he didn't teach her about the smartphone. He facepalmed himself when he remembered that.

When his shift was finally over, he even sped over the station, going way over the limit of velocity. When he got there though, he was relieved of seeing the woman safe and sound, laughing with Lee. He then started to walk calmly towards them.

"Neji!" Tenten smiled widely when she saw him. Lee did that too. Neji nodded.

"Lee, Tenten. How was your day?" He asked, giving them his own smile.

"It was awesome" Tenten grinned.

"Yes! You had to see how kick ass Tenten was today! We apprehended two members of the Orochimaru's gang in the Sound neighborhood!" Neji swore his heart almost stopped. They did what?

"What?" He asked, shocked.

"Yeah! We went patrolling there when we saw them trying to rob an old couple, and Tenten run into action!" Lee explained while Tenten nodded proudly. Neji sighed. He told them take it easy with her, and yet they went to the most dangerous neighborhood of the city. How perfect.

He would have complained, if he didn't soften up while seeing how happy and proud the two were. He was just glad that both were safe.

"I see" he cleared his throat, "Tenten, are you ready to go?" He asked.

"Sure!" She nodded, "bye Lee!" She waived at their friend, who waived back.

"Bye Tenten, Neji! Have fun!" Lee gave Neji a suggestive look, which he pointedly ignored.

"Bye Lee" he said and quickly left, Tenten right behind him.

"I assume you had fun today" he told her when they were in his car. She nodded cheerfully.

"Yep! And how was your day?" She asked, looking at him with her big, beautiful eyes.

"It was ok, I guess. No emergencies" he told her, and she hummed.

"What are the plans for tonight?" For once, teaching her about the smartphone so he would freak out at work because she wasn't answering.

"I thought on maybe teaching you about your phone"

"Oh, ok!" She smiled, sitting back on the car seat, starting to watch the buildings. He watched her with the corner of his eye, something he used to do a lot, and noted that she had a distant look.

"Is everything ok?" Her eyes snapped at him.

"I was just wondering if I will be able to go back to my place" her eyes were sad for a moment, and Neji also wondered about it. He wanted her happy in any way, and also wanted his Tenten back here safely. "But its nice in here too! I got to defeat Lee quite easily!" Then her eyes went back into its usual happy gleam. She looked proud of her achievements today.

"That is great" He complimented truthfully, glad to see her cheerful again.

Not long after, they arrived at her place, and Neji asked Tenten where she put her smartphone.

"It should be in here yet" She grabbed the hospital bag, and Neji sighed. Her cellphone was still uncharged.

"Lets charge it then" He grabbed the phone, plugging it on a charger that was always connected in an outlet by her bed. Tenten sat on the bed, watching him, and Neji sat as well, by her side.

"How long does it take to charge?" She asked, looking curiously over his shoulder at the phone in his hand.

"It will take a while, but we can turn it on already" He held a lateral button, and soon enough the cellphone came into life, the screen displaying its startup screens.

"You see this? This is the lock screen" He started to explain, "You can unlock it by pressing you finger in here" He then gently took her hand and pressed her thumb on the specific spot. The screen changed, and she made an amazed sound.

"Whoa, this thing is neat!" She exclaimed. Neji smiled, continuing his explanation.

"You received a lot of messages. The messages are displayed on this app" He clicked on the messenger app and identified a lot of messages. There were his messages from earlier on, messages from Lee, and messages from the girls that hanged out with them. Now, he wasn't someone who would pry into someone's life, but he saw something interesting.

"What's up, you are looking at it intently"

"Hn... Well, it's a message from Sakura-san, and apparently today you have a girl's night" He frowned, and checked to see that some other girls sent the same message, asking confirmation that Tenten would go to the restaurant they planned on going.

"Oh my god! I totally forgot about girls night!" Tenten exclaimed, and Neji gave her an odd look. How did she know about this?

"You knew about this?" He voiced his curiosity. Tenten grinned awkwardly.

"We have the same thing in my world, more or less… But it was supposed to be today as well" She explained. Neji was amazed of how some things were alike in some ways, yet so different in other ways.

"Interesting" He murmured, "Well, I'll drive you to the restaurant, so go get changed" He told her, going back into her home screen and showing her the call app, "After you guys are done, use this and search for my name, then press call and I'll go fetch you" He instructed her. Tenten nodded happily.

"Oh man, I'm going to see the girls! I wonder how everyone is!" She quickly got up and started to rummage her wardrobe, looking for some clothes.

Neji sighed. While he wanted to spend the night with her, he was also glad that she would have fun seeing the other girls. He just hoped that she doesn't have a hard time with the lack of memories on this world, but he supposed she would be fine.

Shinobi world – Tenten

The training was exhaustive, Neji worked her to her bones! He was sweet enough to fetch lunch at least, because she was too tired to walk by lunch time. Tenten thought he would be satisfied after training her for six straight hours, but after lunch, he made her train even more. At least now she knew how to run faster using her chakra.

It was strange at first, sensing her chakra thingy, then moving it to where she wanted, like her legs for running faster. It was incredibly tiring doing so too, but Neji told her that it was like that only in the begging in, because you were self-conscious of everything. Later it would be automatic, and you wouldn't have to think much about it.

After four more hours, she called it out. She was damn tired, not to mention sweaty. She needed a shower, so a shower she took after they walked back into her apartment.

"Man, that shower was heavenly" She commented when entered the living room. Neji was seated on her sofa, meditating apparently, "You will kill me with those training yet" She sat herself next to him.

Neji opened one eye and glanced at her, a small smile on his lips.

"You'll get used to it. We don't know how much time you'll be staying in here, so its better to have you be able to perform some basic chakra usage" He reasoned, and she hummed.

It was truth what he said, they didn't know how long she'll be staying in here, and she wondered if she would ever be able to go back.

A knock on her door interrupted her train of thoughts. She gave Neji a silent look, pleading him to answer for her. Chuckliing, he did just that. She was met by a bunch of familiar voices.

"Hello tennie!" Ino cheered, and Tenten blinked. "Wait, you are not Tennie"

"H-hello Neji-nii-san" Hinata greeted him, futhering her confusion.

"Where is Tennie?" Ino peeked inside her house, spotting her, "There you are, come here! We are going to be late. Sorry Neji, you stay, no man allowed on Girls night" She smiled playfully at Neji, who looked like he was still processing what was happening.

"Lets go already, we have reservations!" Temari shouted from behind the group, and the girls nodded, "Tenten, get your ass over here and let's go!" She ordered. Temari was already scary back in her world, she didn't need to see how scary she was with ninja skills.

Getting up, Tenten quickly made it to her door. Neji stepped aside to give her space.

"Don't look so startled, let's go!" Temari and Ino grabbed each of Tenten's arms, starting to drag her out.

"Good bye, Neji-nii-san" Hinata bowed slightly and followed them.

"Be a gentleman and close her house, okay Neji?" Tenten heard Sakura say before she helped with the task of dragging her away.
