Endeavor's Agency, January 5th 2XXX

It was early in the morning when the ring of an alarm echoed throughout Izuku's room. He groaned as he reached over to turn the alarm on his phone off before stretching out his barely awake body. He sat up on the blue and red sheets provided by Burnin', one of Endeavor's sidekicks.

Ever since the new year began, Izuku, Shoto and Bakugo were all interning at Endeavor's agency, which came with sleeping over at the enormous building as to allow for more time with the hero they were working under. This was going to be their last day at the Flame Hero's workplace however, and they were going to do one last patrol before heading off back to the U.A. dorms.

Izuku was excited to say the least, he was happy to have been able to intern with Endeavour, he had learned so much over the last few days, from how heroes must always be aware and ready to go at moment's notice to how to control Black Whip. He then looked down at his scarred hand before closing it tightly into a fist, a bright smile on his face.

'Progress! I'm making progress!' He said in his thoughts before a loud knock was heard on his door, kicking him out of his thoughts. "Oi Deku, time to get out of bed nerd, Icy-Hot made some pancakes for breakfast!" said the knocker.

Izuku sighed in relief as he knew who the loud stranger was, "I'm on my way Kaachan, I'll be out in a few!" He replied as Bakugo responded with a grunt before his footsteps could be heard getting quieter and quieter as he walked away.

Izuku, with haste, jumped out of his bed and cleaned the sheets up so it wouldn't look like a mess before he walked out of his room, phone in hand, as he went to the break room where Bakugo was complaining about how Izuku woke up late and Shoto was eating his plate of pancakes.

Shoto looked up at the viridian-coloured boy and pointed at the plate of pancakes on the countertop, "Your pancakes are there Izuku, Bakugo already ate his." He said plainly as he then continued eating.

Izuku nodded as he picked up the plate and brought it over to the table where the two boys were sitting, a smile on his face. "They smell great Shoto, can't to taste them!" Izuku exclaimed with happiness before taking a big bite.

His eyes brightened up as he ate more of the pancakes, "They're amazing Shoto! These are one of the best pancakes I've had, only second to my mother." he said, the two-toned boy blushed a little at the compliment.

Bakugo however scoffed at this, "Hah! Wait till you have my pancakes, it would beat the crap out of yours!" He laughed, but this wouldn't last as Shoto smirked a little "With your personality, you'd probably explode the pancakes" he jokingly replied.

Bakugo fell out of his seat at this comment before he quickly stood up, he then turned to Shoto "ICY-HOT!" He shouted as he was about to yell at Shoto, only stopped by the sound of soft laughing. The blonde and red/white haired boys turned to see their resident greenette giggling and laughing at the ordeal.

"WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING AT DEKU!?" Bakugo exploded, Izuku wiped a little tear from his eye and looked at the two. "Hehe, it's one of the few times Shoto made a joke and it was just really nice to watch you guys, I'm glad I was able to intern with you guys! Haha!" He explained, gaining a soft smile from Todoroki and a 'Tch' from Bakugo as he sat back on his seat.

After about 10 minutes of talking and eating, Burnin' knocked on the break room door to get the three boys' attention. "Ok boys, enough chit-chat, time to get suited up for the last time!" She exclaimed with a smile, Shoto and Bakugo nodded while Izuku blushed from the heroine's smile before he nodded.

The boys stood up and headed to their respective rooms, "This is going to be our last patrol here at Endeavor's agency guys, hopefully we end things on a great note." Izuku said cheerfully. Bakugo then smirked "Well duh, I plan on leaving you nerds in the dust! I'm gonna beat y'all when it comes to hero work!" He proclaimed, confidence oozing from him. Shoto just sighed as he walked to his room, Izuku on the other hand smiled "We'll see about that Kaachan." He remarked as he walked into his room, a smile on his face.

He opened his hero suitcase and put his hero costume on, beginning with his light under-suit armour, then his signature green and black bodysuit on top of that. He then pulled his arm and leg braces on, his Iron Soles and Air Force gloves followed suit before he finally added his respirator.

He glanced at the mirror in the corner of his room, looking at him in his costume for a moment before an alarm rang through out his room. He looked at the source, a speaker with a bright red flashing light, he then remembered what Kido said about the speaker when asked.

When they first entered the rooms, Izuku looked up and noticed a large speaker on the wall. Izuku then turned to Kido, another one of Endeavor's 30+ sidekicks, and asked "What's that for?" He pointed up at the speaker. Kido saw what he was referring and nodded, he placed his hands on his hips. "If that starts ringing with a red flashing light, head to the deployment bay immediately alright? Something major and bad has happened." He told Izuku, his tone turned serious on that last part. "I've already told your classmates about it, there's no need to worry though, the chances of it going off are pretty slim. But always be ready alright?" The bandaged man said as he held his fist out, a faint smile could be seen on his face. Izuku nodded and returned the gesture, connecting the fist bump. "Yes Sir!" He replied, getting a chuckle out of the sidekick "Call me Kido kid" he said casually before he walked out of the room.

Izuku suddenly realized how bad the situation was and ran out of his room, he turned to where Shoto's and Bakugo's rooms were as he saw them open; the two hero hopefuls soon exited a second later. They looked at each other and nodded as the ran down to the deployment bay, where Endeavor, Kido and Burnin' were standing.

Izuku stepped forward, "Endeavor, we came as soon as we could." He said, drawing the Flame Hero's attention to the trainees. "Good to see you all here. Burnin', fill them in." He gestured towards the flame headed lady and she nodded as she turned to the large monitor in front of them.

A map then appeared on the screen with red dots that seemed to move. "This is a map of downtown Tokyo; an above average villain attack has occurred. Motives are unknown but we already have two heroes down there, helping the police. Unfortunately, they seem to be overwhelmed by the number of villains, my guess is that this is a group attack." She inquired, getting a nod from everyone in the room.

"Thank you for filling the trainees Burnin', now let's get going." Endeavor said as he ran to the deployment exit. "Now, let's go before anything worse occurs!" He yelled as he activated his flames and flew off, not skipping a beat, the heroes in training followed the No.1 Hero.

Bakugo got into a squat and held his arms out, sparks flew out of his palms as he smirked, "EXPLOSIVE SPEED!" He shouted as a loud bang was heard and Bakugo was gone. He propelled himself forward, his explosions aided in his manoeuvrability.

Shoto sighed as he looked at Izuku "You sure you don't want a lift?" He asked, receiving a shake of the head from the greenette. Shoto nodded and used his flames, like his father and flew to the direction of his father and the living explosion.

Green bolts started to surround Izuku as he got into a sprinter stance, taking a page out of Bakugo's book, "FULL COWLING 30%!" He exclaimed as he ran through the streets of Tokyo, he then jumped from building to building and eventually caught up to the trio who were standing atop a tall apartment building.

Endeavor surveyed the situation and noticed there were civilians still being evacuated, a loud explosion then caught his attention. His eyes were like dinner plates as he saw what had created it, "A Nomu!" He roared with urgency; this statement made the three UA students' blood go cold. Izuku's brain went a mile a minute, "A Nomu?! Does this mean Shigaraki and the league are behind this?" He wondered.

Endeavor turned to the boys, his flames beginning to glow a bright orange, "Luckily it seems like it's much weaker than the Hood. I'll be able to deal with it, I want you three to search and evacuate any civilians caught in the crossfire. Shoto, you go down through main street! Bakugo, you through the shopping district! Deku, you check alleyways! Keep in touch through comms, now go!" He told them; the three boys disappeared as they went the moment he said go.

"The kids are quick learners, I'll give 'em that" he said, a faint smile brushed on his face before returning to his serious expression. His flames burned bright as he flew straight towards the Nomu, who roared at the incoming hero. He cocked his right arm back with an orange glow coming from it "Let's end this quickly you monstrosity!" He yelled as thrusted his fist forward, all his momentum was carried through the artificial human. "FLASHFIRE FIST: JET-" The Nomu's skin began to bubble from the heat, "BUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRNNNNNN!" Endeavor roared as a bright light filled the area.

Meanwhile, Izuku ran quickly through the streets, his eyes raced around as he looked in any alleyway he passed. As he arrived at a collapsed building, he heard a faint groan coming from that general vicinity. He stopped and surveyed the rubble, "Is anyone there!? Were trapped on the other side of the rubble!" a voice yelled out in desperation, catching Izuku's attention.

"H-hello! I'm here t-to help! How many of you are in there? Is there anyone injured?" He asked the civilian on the other side. "T-there's 4 of us! And m-my husband! His leg is under a big slab of concrete!" They replied, Izuku nodded as he collected himself. "Ok! Move back, I'll get you all out of there!" He exclaimed as he activated Black Whip and pulled chunks of rubble from the pile.

As he reached the final piece of concrete, he was greeted with the sight of the civilians. While they were a little surprised by the sight of a young teenager instead of a Pro-hero, he didn't let it cross his mind as walked in. He was then greeted by a brown-haired lady who grabbed his arm and pulled him to a neighbouring room. Inside the room, the ceiling had collapsed, pinning a man's leg under it.

"Help my husband… please…" The woman pleaded, Izuku nodded and smiled "N-no need to worry ma'am, w-wanna know why? Because I am here" He then stepped forward and activated One for All and lifted the slab, holding it up to allow the man to crawl out. He helped the man stand up right and his wife came over to be his support, being adamant that she was fine and that she wanted to help her husband walk.

He smiled as he watched the couple and the two others walk out of the collapsed building, but as he walked forward, he bumped into nothing. He was confused by this and was about to walk again before a sharp pain pierced into his abdomen. He gasped as looked closely, seeing the outline of a person standing in front of him. His eyes widened, "A-a transparency quir-AHH!"

He wasn't able to finish his sentence as he was stabbed again, now in the side. Izuku groaned as he pushed the assailant away, his Air Force gloves were then engaged as he pulled back his middle finger, "Delaware Smash Air Force!" He exclaimed, hitting the transparent person.

They flew straight into a nearby wall which caused them to be disorientated, their quirk had begun to wear off, their body now becoming opaque. The rescued civilians then noticed the ordeal and were both shocked and afraid as they feared for the young hero.

Without skipping a beat, Izuku jumped directly at the man and grabbed the wrist that held the large knife, he tightened his grip which caused the man to drop the knife. He then threw the man over his shoulder, making him hit the ground hard, this stunned him enough for Izuku to put him into a pin.

"Who sent you?!" Izuku yelled, the adrenaline in his blood helped lessen the pain he felt. The unknown assassin smirked as he whispered something that caused Izuku to freeze, "All For One and company send their regards." Izuku's eyes widened "So All For One did set this up! But how?" He internally wondered, his wounds began to throb in pain, his grip reflexively loosened.

The opaque man noticed this and quickly moved to hit the viridian boy's stab wounds, making the boy recoil back before he was thrown off the villain. Izuku could only watch in a fuzzy vision as he watched the man stand up and walk over to where the knife had landed.

He wasn't able to move as the pain became almost unbearable, the man slowly made his towards the crippled teen, the knife raised high for a fatal finishing blow. "S-stop, d-don't…" Izuku just barely raised his arms to block the incoming attack, but it never came. As he lowered his hands, he saw a few fuzzy figures standing over him, one of them squatted down and held their hand out.

"Need help kid?" They asked, Izuku's eyes refocused, and it was one of civilians he saved. Relieved, Izuku accepted the offer for help, reaching for his hand. The civilian, a young college student, did the rest, helping the hero student as he tried to stand. Izuku shook his head as his legs didn't have the strength to stand.

Izuku was slowly brought over to a nearby wall and sat against the concrete structure, his breathing was heavy, it took more energy than before. His time was numbered, before then he turned to the people he saved, the married couple were holding eachother, the wife had tears in her eyes and her hand over her mouth as her husband comforted her.

"She's probably shocked by what just happened, I don't blame her though, I had the same reaction when All Might fought and defeated All For One" Izuku thought before turning to the others, the college student who sat beside Izuku and tried to stop any more blood from coming out of his wounds. The final civilian, an elderly lady, seemed to be standing next to the villain, they both stood in a similar position.

"I wonder why they're both standing like that. Maybe it's a quirk?" He questioned, the college student noticed the slight peak of his eyebrow and followed his eyes. He saw what Izuku was looking at and laughed a little, "I guess we didn't tell you how we stopped the villain. That old lady's quirk is called *Simon Says*, it's similar to one of your classmates, I think anyway. She can make someone do anything she wants if she says 'Simon says' at the beginning. Pretty cool right?" He explained to the viridian-coloured boy, who's eyes shimmered.

He would have pressed the lady about her quirk if it weren't for the fact he was dying, which really dampened his mood. He felt his chest rise and coughed, unfortunately, he coughed up some blood. "S-so this is how All- *cough cough* All Might felt after- *cough cough cough* coughing" he said with a phlegm-like rasp.

This caught the attention of everyone, including the elderly lady, who turned to the villain and smiled "Simon says sit down there and act like a good little boy" She said, then visible villain sat like a dog and nodded "I'm a good boy, I'm a really good boy!" he said, everyone's sweat dropped at this before their attention turned back to the injured boy. Izuku looked at his observers, his vision slowly became fuzzier, he took out his communicator and handed it to the college student, he pointed to the large red button.

The man nodded as he pressed down the button, a loud repeating beep escaped the device, "They should… should be arriving soon… though I don't… think I'll be here long enough to… to welcome them… hehe- *cough cough*" Izuku said, the mood was down and sombre as he said that. As the time on his proverbial clock of life ticked down, he thought he would do his best to comfort the caring bystanders.

He looked at all of them and with a bright smile, the best one he could give at that moment, he said "Thank you… while I wouldn't... have thought my life would end so soon… I'm glad I was surrounded by people who showed me kindness and care… you've all got the spirit of a *cough cough* hero…" This opened the flood gates for everyone, Izuku chuckled a little, even if it hurt.

"Hey now, please d-don't… cry, I want you to smile, ok? Wanna… wanna know why? Because I was… here…" he said softly as he felt time slowing down, "Huh, I guess it's time. I'm sorry Mom, All Might, Kaachan, everyone… I couldn't live long enough to be No.1" Izuku finally thought before he closed his eyes and accepted his fate. The world didn't know, but they lost one of the greatest heroes of all time… or did they?

In the distance, two figures stood atop a building as they watched the whole situation. "A shame, don't you think?" The female figure inquired; her voice was sombre as the death of a child was never easy to watch. The male figure nodded, "It is, though-" he added, the female's curiosity peaked as she knew he had an idea. "I will explain it more later on, but in the end, that boy will have a second chance." He said with a little smile, making the female figure laugh softly. She then nodded, "I can't wait to hear what you have planned" she said in a jovial tone as they both vanished without a trace.
