Once more we go down the rabbit hole that is a quirkless Izuku with a backbone(eventually). With a bit of help from the blondes in his life, of course. Today, we finally get to explore the I-island school itself and all the opportunities that lay within. And of course, we get to see the aftermath of Izuku's little declaration from last time.

This should be fun. Ah, and there a certain character is making a cameo in this chapter. No, it's not who you think it is, now that I have your attention ONWARDS!

"What the hell did I do last night?" Izuku said as he laid in bed, eyes wide open and staring at his new ceiling like a dead fish. His only saving grace was that he collapsed from emotional exhaustion last night and ended up getting a good night's sleep. Still, while he did not regret what he did or said in the slightest. "How did I do that?" He had no idea what came over him and made it possible.

And why did it leave him so quickly? He could really use a burst of unusual but helpful confidence right now. Or anything that would take his mind off what happened really. "5 AM...Might as well get up and ready." Izuku still needed to pick out his classes and make himself familiar with the I-Island campus.

'I'll take chemistry, engineering, physics, and mathematics first since they're the ones I'm most familiar with.' Upon getting his hands on the textbooks for each he'd skim through them quickly to see if they contained anything that he didn't already know. If not, then he could ask to take the final exam for each course right away.

If Izuku could pull that off...Then maybe biology? His knowledge of chemistry and engineering would help him in that subject and he was always interested in the nitty-gritty behind how quirks worked. Biology would be the subject that covered it best.

Then of course there was Quirk Studies itself which dealt with the practical applications and proper documentation of quirks. Izuku may just take the test on this right away as well, though he'd give the textbook the same skim that he would the others.

"Maybe that hobby of mine will finally come in handy for something important." He muttered, making breakfast while he juggled his options in his head. All Might himself said that they were impressive, that's got to be worth something right?

'If I can do that then...Computer science would be the logical next step right?' Or maybe a law course would be better for a hero? Ah, and forensic sciences! It would probably get me into the good graces of the police if I get good enough at it...Or would it look like I'm trying to take their job?' His mind sped up as he brushed off the final cobwebs of sleep.

'Either way, better to know and not need than to need and not know. Izuku placed each one into his to-do list for later.' He decided and put it on the list. A new notebook was set aside to chronicle/keep track of his time at the island.

"One step at a time, there's no use in overwhelming myself with too many options. For now, I should focus on what I know, and what I think I know." He had a lot of studying to do in the coming weeks. But for now, he could rest and recover a bit from the months of work that were needed to get him on the island in the first place.

"I wonder what the other students here are like?" If they were anything like Melissa then he'd have a great time. Still, Izuku didn't have the best experience with schools up to this point so he wouldn't be holding his breath. 'Now that I think about it, they'll probably be older than me.'

Izuku sighed and shook his head to clear his mind. He finished up his breakfast and decided to give himself a tour of the city-sized campus that he now called home. He had a map sure, but it would be best to familiarize himself with the place personally.

Before he stepped outside he took a moment to look at his Spider-Man Exosuit.™ An idea came to his mind and a smirk came soon after.

Minutes later

"WOOHOO!" The thrill, the rush, the utter exhilaration that Izuku felt could only be rivaled by anxiety he felt every time he came close to the ground before *thwip his webbing saved him from a painful death. Or at the very least severe injury. 'Is this what all those heroes that have movement quirks feel? Is this what Spider-Man felt when he started out?'

Eventually, he came close to his destination and somewhat disappointedly readied himself for a landing. 'Wait a minute, how do I slow down my momentum withou-' "OH CRAP!" In a panic, Izuku shot out two webs behind him to slow himself down as much as possible and braced his legs for impact.

*BANG!

"Ugh, right. Next time come up with a landing strategy before losing myself like that...At least now I know the shock absorbers on the legs work." His legs still burned from the g forces they just had to endure and he was pretty sure his whole backside was going to be bruised after this but at least he hadn't broken any bones.

"Wicked wipe out bro, but I've seen better. Are you tryin' to copy that old Spider hero? Pretty cool, did you make that gear yourself?" An accented English voice spoke up from over Izuku who hadn't yet gotten up from the ground. It belonged to a caucasian teen with sandy blonde hair and green amber eyes who Izuku could only assume was American given the voice and slang. He was also extending his hand out which the green hero-to-be took with an embarrassed but thankful smile.

"T-Thanks, and yes I made this for the entrance exam. My name is Izuku Midoriya, it's a pleasure to meet you!" He introduced himself in the western way while trying to clean himself off. "I hope we can get along, and that my first impression won't be the norm hehe." That was even more awkward than usual for him.

"It's pretty impressive, and don't worry. Like I said, I've seen worse wipeouts before and I'm sure you will too while studying here." He motioned for Izuku to follow which he did, thinking that it was best to let the local lead the way. "The name's Andreas Anderson by the way, I'm here for an all-rounded education and I want to eventually get into the astronomy field. How about you?" The local tried to get the ball rolling with some small talk.

"Ah, it's easier if I just show you." Izuku pulled out his tablet and brought up all of his chosen classes. "After I finish these I plan on taking the specialized hero support course and get licensed, from there I plan on studying at U.A back in Japan in the hero course." At some point, Izuku noticed the awkward silence and turned to see Andreas' wide-eyed stare.

"Whoa man, you're just gonna flex on me like that? Taking on five classes and their finals right away, keeping another three more in the background just for fun, and then casually saying that you're gonna do it in, when does U.A start? It's in Japan so...You plan on doing all this in less than a year AND then you want to go into the hero program too?" Well when he put it like that, Izuku could see how that would come off as boastful.

"Seriously man, if you can pull all that off...And no offense but that's a really big if, can I have your autograph? I have a feeling it will grow in value pretty damn quick." Izuku blushed crimson, it would kill him if he admitted it out loud, but Andreas just offered to cross off one of the items on his bucket list. To sign an autograph and have it treated with the same respect as a pro hero.

"Hmm, Dr. Strawberry!" Izuku's new acquaintance, and hopefully friend, exclaimed out of nowhere."

"Wh-wha-" Izuku was at a loss for words, dr what now?

"You're smart, have green hair, have those freckles, and blush so much that it makes you look like a strawberry. Dr. Strawberry! That's your new nickname mate, learn to live with it until I come up with a new one." The friendly American explained, much to Izuku's chagrin...Oh well, it was better than Deku at least.

"Come on, I'll show you to the math and physics classes since we share them. You're gonna love Mr. Ishigami, he's the coolest teacher you'll ever have and he was one of the top neo pioneers in Astroengineering!" Wow, Izuku would take the guy's word for it, was this what he sounded like when he talked about All Might?

Noticing that he had gotten out of hand Andreas took a moment to calm himself and offer an apologetic smile. "Sorry about that, It's just so rare to find someone who's as interested in spacecraft as I am. Having someone like that as my professor...I sometimes get lost in the hero-worship hehe." That Izuku could totally understand. He just imagined how he'd feel if All Might was his teacher and realized that he'd be way worse.

"Here it is, room 1003 building 2. Remember that and when your classes start and you should be fine." Andreas said while opening the door, only to be smacked over the head by what looked like a piece of newspaper. Huh, those things still exist?

"You're late, but I see that you have a new student with you so I'll cut you some slack for today. The brat probably already told you who I am, you can call me Professor, or Professor Ishigami." The man holding the piece of paper certainly had the mad scientist look going for him. His hair was spiked up, green streaks visibl-No. Those were actual leeks growing out of his head.

'Interesting quirk, I wonder if they photosynthesize, or use the body's energy to grow. Are they edible? Do they share the same DNA as a regular leek or did it have human DNA that somehow created a plant-like cell wall-' Another sound of paper on flesh could be heard, this time on Izuku's head.

"Maybe you should introduce yourself before asking questions about the DNA makeup of my hair. But to answer your questions, yes they do, yes they are, and a mix of both. The human DNA stems from the rest of my body while the vegetable DNA builds the necessary organelles to...Well, be a leek.

"I'm so sorry! My name is Izuku Midoriya, a new student as of yesterday. I'll be in your class starting tomorrow, it's an honor to meet you, professor!" He bowed in apology as he introduced himself. "Sorry about that, studying quirks and how they work is a hobby of mine and I got lost in it for a second there."

"Don't worry about it kid, just run along and figure out where your other classes are. This place is like a maze at first. We'll talk more when I'm not in the middle of teaching a class." Izuku realized that he was holding up the class, panicked a bit, and left with a quick apology. He was looking forward to his future classes though, his professor seemed pretty cool after all...Now if only his other classes were like that.

Told you that the cameo wasn't for who you thought it would be. As for the reason Senku made an appearance...Well I needed to create some characters for Izuku's new classmates and teachers and got stuck. Then I thought, 'why not Senku' and the rest is history.

This was a bit of a shorter chapter this time, mostly for set up and to introduce a new character that will be sticking around for the first arc of this story. The next chapter will probably get into the nitty gritty of the academy and may or may not include a timeskip.

Until then! Ah, and before you go, I have a new poll on my profile. Just a simple yes/no/maybe question for a possible future story. If you'd rather vote with a review, I'll take those too. Either way, as always, have a great day!
