Chapter 11
"F-Fuu-kun, d-do you think that I c-can do it?", asked the second oldest quint with a butterfly ribbon tying her long hair in a ponytail.
"You can, don't worry. If someone can make delicious cakes, that's you.", assured her blond boyfriend, giving her a headpat.
It was Saturday, and since Fuutarou had given a day off tutoring to his students, he accompanied his girlfriend to the pastry Revival as Nino had decided that she wanted to start to work part time there and learn to make even better cakes.
Her sisters and Fuutarou were at first by her intention, but they then smiled and encouraged her to do her best at the job interview. And since she wanted to pass some time alone with her boyfriend, he used his bike to go together to the shop. And now they were standing in front of it.
"To help you feel more at ease, just show the best smile that you can pull off. When Ichika had her audition during the fireworks festival, I told her to stop it with that fake smile that I saw her using. This is what made sure that she got her job as actress.", told Fuutarou to Nino while putting a hand on her shoulder.
"Did you 2 kiss while you were alone that time?", she asked him with a pout of jealousy.
"A-ah, no. But she gave me a lap pillow when I fell asleep while you and the others were lighting the fireworks that Yotsuba had bought.", he replied with a sweatdrop.
"A-A lap p-pillow?! Ugh, it makes me so jealous!", she exclaimed with a frown while Fuutarou chuckled.
"Haha, don't worry. You know that no girl can steal me from you.", he told her, leaning forward her face to capture her lips in a nice kiss that made her moan. She then started to kiss him back, happily squealing in her mind.
'Awww, I-I love so much being kissed by him like this. I'm so lucky that he's my boyfriend hehe.', she thought while wrapping her arms around his neck. They continue to kiss for some other seconds before detaching their lips and look at each other in their eyes sweetly.
"Are you ready to show your skills, Nino?"
"Sure, I am, Fuu-kun. Let's go hehe.", she happily replied while stepping inside the shop while holding hands together. A bell rang during this, so a middle aged man with long brown hair tied in a tail that fell on his shoulder appeared with a cordial smile.
"Welcome to Revival, young ones! What can I do for you 2?", he greeted them while smiling more at the sight of a young couple of lovers.
"Umm, I'm here b-because I should have a job I-interview at this hour.", replied Nino a little nervously.
"Oh, so you're Nino Nakano, right? Well, you're right in time for the interview! And your boyfriend wants to work here too?", said the man, making both teenagers blush.
"A-Actually, I-I'm here because I wanted to accompany Nino, Mr…"
"Aono Kuri. You can call me Kuri, young man."
"Ok, Kuri-San. Yeah, I just want to accompany Nino here to be honest.", concluded the blond punk, making Nino smile.
"Oh, what a shame. I was in search for a second waiter to tell you truth, so I thought you 2 wanted to apply together. Since you're lovers, you could work great together here.", said Kuri, making the social butterfly'a eyes shine at the idea of working in a pastry shop with her beloved one.
So she looked at Fuutarou with sweet eyes full of hope, which made him blush. In all honesty, he wasn't interested in working in a pastry shop, as his job as tutor for the Nakano sisters paid quite well. Still, another job meant more income to help his family with some annoying debts, so the choice was obvious.
"F-fine, I will apply together with you, Nino.", he said while sighing. This made Nino smile brightly and hug him, sneaking a kiss on his cheek.
'They're so affectionate to each other haha.', thought the Revival's owner, smiling at such sight of strong love. So, after Fuutarou decided to apply as waiter for the shop, he and Nino got their job interviews with Kuri that asked them about their skills and what they were interested to learn while working there. And since the social butterfly said that she was pretty good at baking, Kuri made her do a baking test to see her skills.
He and Fuutarou observed then how Nino started to prepare a vanilla and strawberries cake, starting with the dough and then preparing the vanilla cream and cutting the strawberries. After some minutes, her cake was done, and the result was wonderful as her cake looked perfect just like the ones that she and Fuutarou saw in display under the glass after entering in Revival.
The boss was satisfied with how good the cake looked, and when he and Asahiyama's hero tasted it, their eyes beamed. "T-this cake is delicious! Not only it looks good, but it tastes great too!", said Kuri while taking another bite of his piece of cake.
"I agree. This cake is fantastic, Nino. See? Making delicious cakes is one of your talents.", said instead Fuutarou, winking a her and making her blush.
"T-that m-means I passed the test, Kuri-San?", she asked hopefully. The boss nodded eagerly, more than glad to have someone like her baking cakes and sweets in the kitchen.
For what concerned Fuutarou, the young man showed how he had no problems in holding with one hand a vassoy of glasses or in how to talk with a customer. In fact, Kuri impersonated a customer to test Fuutarou's attitude, remaining impressed by the blond punk's great attention to Kuri's order.
Satisfied with their job interviews, Kuri happily said to the 2 teenagers that they could start to work from next week, on Tuesday and on Thursday. Hearing that made Nino so happy that she hugged Fuutarou tightly, receiving a headpat from him. After that, they decided to leave while buying some pastries to eat together later, so they greeted Kuri after paying.
"This is fantastic! I can work with you in the same shop and get even better at baking. Aww, I'm so happy.", said Nino, sitting behind Fuutarou on his bike while he was driving.
"I'm lucky to have worked as waiter in some restaurants in the past. I learned pretty well how to do that job.", he replied, turning to the right.
"Really? You never told me and my sisters about it."
"It's because you dummies never asked haha."
Nino puffed her cheeks and hugged his waist tighter. After some minutes, they arrived to the shopping mall as the social butterfly wanted to buy some clothes and also look for some ideas for Christmas gifts for her boyfriend, her sisters and Raiha.
In fact, Christmas was getting close, so she and her sisters had thought of making a party at their apartment with the Uesugi family and Maruo. And luckily, the stoic doctor had said that he would be able to take part to it.
Following the parking of the bike in the nearby parking area, the young couple went first to the clothes shop for some good shopping, as Nino wanted to buy new dresses for herself and also something for Fuutarou. So now she was scanning through some skirts while asking the blond punk for his opinion.
"Which do you like the most, Fuu-kun?", she asked him while showing a black and purple skirt and a red and pink one.
" I like the first one. It combines well with the color of your ribbons.", he replied, pointing at said skirt.
"Hehe, looks we thought of the same thing. I will go to try it on then.", she said while going to the changing room.
Fuutarou then sat on a small chair to wait for her, checking also his phone meanwhile; curiously, he saw a notification about a message from Itsuki which showed how well she scored on the assignment that he gave to her and her sisters. And similar messages arrived also from the other sisters, showing that their scores improved more compared to when they took the mid-term exams.
'If they go on like this, it will impossible that they don't graduate.', he thought while sending a text to each one of them to compliment them, getting fast "Thank you so much!" messages in return.
He then called by Nino, so he lifted his gaze to see her wearing the black and purple skirt that he chose fo her and also a dark blue blouse. He blushed a bit at that and told her that that outfit looked great on her, getting a big thanks in return.
She decided also to change into something else, so she went back inside the changing room. The young man waited patiently for her outside, but when she called him again, she also asked him to come inside the changing room.
He blushed at that because he found it embarrassing, but since they were lovers, he entered in the changing room. And what he saw made his face blush deeper: Nino was wearing some black lingerie that emphasized the shape of her assets, making her look even more attractive.
"W-W-What do you think, F-F-Fuu-kun?", she timidly asked him, her face red as tomato.
"N-Nino, y-you're so b-beautiful. Honestly, I-I'm kinda t-tempted to do something with you right now.", he replied, scratching his cheek.
"W-W-we can't d-do something here! T-t-this is for when w-we will d-do something more than kissing. A-a-and I-I want it to be special for both of us.", she said, looking down with steam coming out of her ears.
"Oh, so you thought about that too? I have a naughty girlfriend then haha.", he said with a chuckle, making her pout while beating her hands closed in fists on his chest in a chili way.
After his teasing, the young man told her that the lingerie looked sexy on her, and that was enough to make her blush deeply and also decide to buy it together the other clothes. They bought also some t-shirts and jeans for him that Nino thought looked great on her boyfriend; she had a good eye for fashion after all.
The young couple then sat down on a bench inside the mall to eat the pastries bough at Revival, savoring them and smile for how good they tasted. The social butterfly also licked some cream on Fuutarou's cheek, and he reciprocated with a lovely headpat.
Later, they decided to go to a shop that seemed to sell a lot of things that went from toys, kitchen utensils, house decorations and more. Seeing such assortment of products and ideas for Christmas presents made them smile, so they grinned before starting their gifts hunt; they scanned around the various products, choosing what the other quints, Fuutarou's family and Maruo could like the most.
For example, they decided to buy a new pot to cook for Raiha, a reusable notebook for Itsuki, a teddy bear for Yotsuba and so on.
Fuutarou wanted also to look for a personal gift for his girlfriend, but he decided that he would search for it in another moment as he wanted it to be a surprise for her. And of course, Nino thought of making a surprise gift for him too.
'I want to make a gift that she/he will never forget.', they thought in unison, smiling and looking forward to the reaction of each other on Christmas. When both of them finished to buy the gifts for everyone, they went to grab a bite by eating some sandwiches from a stand, sitting down to one of the table.
"Oh, it's Nino-chan and Uesugi-kun!", suddenly said a familiar voice from very near. The young couple turned to Fuutarou's right to see Nino's friends, Mary and Kotoha, who were coming to greet them.
"Konoha, Mary! Nice to see you, girls.", said Nino whike getting up from her chair to greet them with a hug.
"We saw that you and Uesugi-kun were here eating so we thought to say hi. Hello, Uesugi-kun.", replied Mary, getting greeted back like Kotoha by Fuutarou. The 2 girls then decided to sit down at the 2 lovers' table, starting to chat about how their date was going and their plans for Chritsmas.
During this, Mary tried to flirt with Fuutarou jokingly, making Nino glare at her while hugging Fuutarou's arm possessively. Both Mary and Kotoha giggled at their friend's reaction; Nino's jealousy was easy to activate.
The young couple then decided to leave so Fuutarou could take Nino back to Pentagon, which meant that they greeted the second oldest quint's friends while finishing to eat their sandwiches and then exiting from the shopping mall.
The young tutor put all their bags inside the luggage van of his motorbike and then hopped on it while Nino took place behind him and hugged his waist. Turning on the engine, the bike's motor roared and they left with the Pentagon as their destination.
But during the way, the social butterfly had noticed a nice park with a beautiful lake too, so she asked Fuutarou if they could go there to have a little and romantic tour on a boat. Obviously he smiled and nodded, parking the bike to then take Nino's hand and enter together in the park.
"Let's go to ride on the boat, Fuu-kun!", she said while clinging on his arm.
"Sure, Nino.", was his reply, walking by her side and admiring the beautiful flowers that adorned the bushes of the park. They also heard the chuckles of some kids that were playing together with their parents on the swings or on the slide, finding such sight very cute.
'Yotsuba is childish exactly like those kids haha.', thought the hero of Asahiyama, being reminded of his funny childhood friend, who he was sure was playing with some video games or jogging outside. That's Yotsuba for you after all.
Spotting the boats, the 2 lovers took one and Fuutarou started to row, bringing himself and Nino to the middle of the lake. The wind gently blew the young girl's long hair while she had a relaxed smile on her face.
"This atmosphere is really romantic. Don't you think, Fuu-kun?"
"Yeah, it sure is. We're also all alone now. So, how about we take advantage of the occasion?", he asked her while taking her shoulders to make her look at him in his light blue eyes. Her ocean blue eyes widened and a fierce blush appeared on her face before her boyfriend's straightforwardness and his smirk.
"Fuu-kun.", she said before leaning in like him to join their lips together. Since they shared their first kiss, the 2 of them had several occasions in which they kissed, especially because Fuutarou was often to start the lovely act.
But now that they were alone, they took the chance to do something more as both of them explored each other mouths with their tongues, causing various moans to escape from Nino. The young girl was gently pushed down by Fuutarou on top of her, wrapping her arms around his neck while continuing to kiss each other passionately.
'This handsome boy really loves me too much like I do for him. I will make sure that my gift for Christmas makes you shower me with your love even more hehe.', she thought happily, enjoying continuously Fuutarou's lips.
Also the young man looked forward to surprise her with his present, and since she had bought that black lingerie that she had personally showed, maybe this year's Christmas could be very interesting.
But during their lovely making out session, a sudden and nearby scream surprised them, interrupting them. They looked around and saw that a young boy was risking to drown in the water with her mother shouting to ask for help.
'Damn it, he's too far away to reach him with the boat! I have no choice.', thought Fuutarou before taking off his hoodie and giving it to Nino.
"W-wait, what are-Fuu-kun!", she shouted when she saw Fuutarou diving in the lake and starting to swim fast to reach the boy. She was worried for her boyfriend because the water was very cold, but noticing how he managed to swim fast and with no problem, she started to incite him to do his best.
And so he did as he managed to reach the boy before he drowned in the depth of the water, starting also to bring back to the boat. Once he was again on the boat, Fuutarou covered the kid's cold body with his hoodie to warm him and started to row back to the bank while Nino checked if the boy had lost consciousness. Thank goodness he hadn't.
After rowing as fast as he could, the hero of Asahiyama brought back the boat to the bank and took the kid in his arms to give him to his mother, who cried tears of joy to see her child was safe.
"Mommy, I-I w-was scared!", he cried, his voice a little weak because of the cold that still made his body shiver.
"I-It's ok, Maa-kun. The important is that you're safe. T-thnak you, young man. Y-you saved my child!", said the mother of the kid, bowing her head to the blond punk.
"I-It's ok, miss. You don't need to bow. I'm glad me too that your son is safe.", said Fuutarou, while waving his hand to tell her that bowing was unnecessary. And while he was getting thanked, Nino took out a small towel to dry her boyfriend's body to avoid that the cold made him sick.
"Y-you're an idiot, F-Fuu-kun. You risk to get sick for swimming in the cold water like that.", she scolded with a frown but very worried for him.
"Sorry if I made you worry, Nino, but at least the kid is safe and still kicking.", he replied, patting her head meanwhile.
' You being a hero once again like this just makes me love more and more.', she thought while hugging him, happy that he was fine. He reciprocated her hug, bringing her head to his chest and smiling.
After that, Fuutarou got his hoodie back from the kid's mother and put it on back after finishing to dry himself. But since his smell was kinda annoying after diving in the lake, he and Fuutarou decided to leave while greeting the woman and her son Maa-kun to go to Fuutarou's house as it was close to the park.
So they hopped on his bike once again and reached the apartment quickly, getting welcomed by Raiha that was confused and asked her brother's clothes were wet. The young couple explained what had happened while the blond guy rapidly went to take change of clothes before reaching the bathroom to take the shower.
"Wow, so Onii-chan and Nino-nee will work together in the pastry shop and he saved a kid from drowning? That's fantastic, Nino-nee!", said Raiha with a big smile.
"Hehe, I know. Still, Fuu-kun made me worry when he dived in the water like that. Thank goodness he didn't get sick.,", replied Nino while helping Raiha to bake some warm cookies for the 2 of them and the young man and also some hot chocolate for him.
"And you 2 even bought the gifts for Christmas today. Hehe, I can't wait that Christmas comes to celebrate all together."
"Me too. My sisters look forward to it as well. And it seems that also Papa will come to the party.", said the social butterfly, sharing the young girl's enthusiasm.
Some minutes later, Fuutarou was done with taking a warm shower and returned with a blue long-sleeved shirt and black trousers. The shirt fitted him so well that it highlighted his abs under it, obtained thanks his training with the basketball club of Asahiyama. Such sight made Nino blush, deeply attracted to the him.
Seeing the cookies and the hot chocolate cup for him on the table, the young tutor smiled and joined Raiha and his girlfriend to eat all those homemade and delicious cookies. He obviously loved the hot chocolate that his girlfriend had made for him, thanking her with a kiss on the cheek that she reciprocated.
The 3 of them then started to watch a funny comedy on the TV, with Raiha sitting at Fuutarou's left and Nino at his right. During this, the social butterfly told her sisters that she would come back to make dinner, getting an ok from each one of them. And of course, a second message from Itsuki about how the ahoge girl looked forward to eat some Tonkatsu for dinner.
The movie that the Uesugi siblings and Nino was a funny little cartoonish movie for kids about talking cars, which made laugh quite enough with its hilarious scenes, but also feel moved because of its meaningful scenes. While watching the movie, Raiha thought of drawing a talking car at school next time, with her brother and Nino smilling and saying that it would look great.
'If she was able to make a nice bracelet like the one I gave to Nino, she will then draw an amazing talking car or plane haha.', thought the young man, imagining how great his sister's drawing .
After an hour and half, the movie ended, so Nino decided that it was time for her to go home. In truth she wanted some more time while playing for example cards with Fuutarou and Raiha, but since she had to make dinner for her sisters, she had to go home now.
So she phoned Ebata to ask him to give her a passage while also taking her bags of clothes and Christmas presents. Before stepping out of the Uesugi's household, she gave a nice and reciprocated hug to Raiha and another one with a kiss included to her brave boyfriend.
"See you next time, Fuu-kun, Raiha-chan! And I look forward to work together from next week, Fuu-kun.", she said while leaving.
"Bye, Nino-nee! See you next time!"
"I look forward to it too, Nino. Have a nice dinner with your sisters.", he replied with toothy grin. She responded with a wink and a wave of her hand while stepping outside and closing the door.
After that, the 2 Uesugi siblings started to prepare together them too the dinner to eat later with their father Isanari. Raiha wanted to make a variation of the Uesugi's curry, so she and Fuutarou followed carefully the steps of this new receipt. She was sure that her brother and father would love it. And knowing her brother, he would eat it all while also asking for a bis haha.

Chapter 11 is here! Oh, what's this? A Christmas party at the Pentagon? Nino and Fuutarou buying gifts for everyone? Oh yeah, my friends! Not only they will start to work together, but they also have already bought Christmas presents. And it seems that the young couple wants to do something particular for a special occasion.
Fuutarou also showed to be again an heroic punk by saving a kid from drowning by diving in the cold water of the lake. He's really brave, and thankfully he didn't get a cold or something. Now the young couple and their families have a Christmas party to enjoy sooner or later. How will it go? Stay tuned to find out.
