"Man, what is with this HEAT?!" Eddy Skipper McGee groaned as he did his best to lay under the shade of a tree along with his two best friends, Edwin Horace Alba, and Eddward Marion 'Double-D' Anton on a sunny day in their hometown of Peach Creek.

"It is a rather hot day today, Eddy..." Double-D sighed as he took out a fan and used it to cool himself off. As for Ed, his tongue was hanging out and slobbering like a dog.

"The sun is cruel, Eddy. I feel my lifeforce being sucked into oblivion..." Ed wheezed as he slumped on his face as Eddy groaned and stood up before turning and kicking the tree.

"Dangit! This is killing me! We gotta beat this heatwave!"

Eddy and Ed then turned to Double-D with expectant looks on their faces. The sock-hatted boy sighed as he already knew the looks his friends were giving him and stood up.

"Oh, let me solve our problems. As I always do..."

"Hey, we wouldn't turn to ya if you didn't know how, Sockhead."

Double-D led his two comrades to his house and after taking the laundry chutes down to the basement with style, the three boys all approached something hidden under a tarp.

"Is this gonna help cool us off, Double-D?"

"In theory, it will. Gentlemen, I present to you-" Double-D pulled the tarp off. "The Cold Fusion Production Zoner!"

The device Double-D revealed looked like a plasma globe at first glance, but with a large snowflake in the center. It also had a glimmering light blue crystal inside the main functions of the device.

"Kinda dinky looking, Double-D. What's it do?" Eddy asked as he inspected the device.

"Well, I made it so that it can harness nuclear fusion energy and convert it into pure cold air. Basically, it's the Ultimate A/C, Eddy!" Double-D proudly said as he demonstrated by activating the device and in an instant, the Eds were hit with a refreshing wave of cool.

"Yeeeeah! This hits the spot!" Eddy said in relaxation.

"I can feel my ears freezing, Eddy!" Ed laughed absent-mindedly as Eddy smirked at his dim-witted friend.

"You thinkin' what I'm thinkin', boys?"

"If I'm thinking what you're thinking...You want to use this for a scam, don't you?" Double-D said with annoyance. "Eddy, I needed to harness a crystal that father brought back from one of his studies in order to properly create this device and I still don't know the full extent of it."

Double-D opened up a compartment in the device to reveal the light blue crystal that acted as the power source. It was shaped like a hexagon and was glimmering with something ancient that nobody could properly describe.

"It looks like the Night Star from Eternal Stargazers!" Ed said as he stared at the crystal in awe.

"Come on, Double-D. Just this once, we'll be filthy stinkin' rich and we'll up to our armpits in jawbreakers!" Eddy said, trying to convince Double-D of his scam, but the sock-hatted boy was not budging.

"Sorry, Eddy, but this device is still a prototype. I don't want to risk bringing down the Cul-De-Sac like LAST TIME."

Eddy cringed as Double-D put emphasis on those words before finally giving in. "Alright, alright, sheesh! Don't have to bring that up..."

"Can I look at it, Double-D?" Ed asked as Double-D sighed and put on safety gloves before taking out the crystal powering his device and handing it to his dim-witted friend.

"Just be careful with it, Ed. For all we know, it could potentially be radioactive in its true nature."

"Or maybe it will give us cool powers like in Hip Teen Warriors!" Ed retorted simply as he grabbed the crystal. Just as soon as his hands touched it, it began glowing much brighter.

"Wow, it had a reaction to Lumpy touching it!" Eddy said as Double-D looked at the crystal closely, wearing a pair of goggles so he didn't go blind.

"Ed, I don't think you should keep holding onto-!"

Unfortunately, Double-D couldn't finish his sentence as the crystal shot out three bolts of primordial energy that struck all three Eds. It didn't hurt them but they still screamed in alarm all the same as a sense of weightlessness overcame them. Soon, before any of the boys could even blink, they found themselves being thrust through a void.

"WE ARE GOING THROUGH A WORMHOLE LIKE IN TRANS-DIMENSION HIP-HOP STARS!" Ed cried as the three boys all screamed in terror at what was going on. As they were falling through an endless abyss, the silhouettes of dragons, demons, and even gods formed around them and then turned into wisps of light before entering the three boys as they began to glow brightly.

Ed glowed a blazing emerald green, Double-D radiated an aura of calm crimson red, and Eddy shimmered with brilliant golden yellow. Soon, in a flash of light and sparkles, the three boys lost consciousness.

*Meanwhile*

Miranda Holbrooke, the Headmistress of the prestigious Luna Nova Academy, was taking a stroll through the woods. However, as the small old witch was admiring the peaceful scenery, she couldn't help but sense something different today.

"Must be my imagination..."

However, she noticed a brilliant explosion of magical light coming from nearby. Wishing to uncover what had happened, Holbrooke came through a large clearing in the forest and saw a surprising sight.

Three boys were sprawled on the ground, traces of magical energy flickering before sputtering out of existence. The old woman approached the trio to get a closer look at them.

The first boy was quite tall. He had feathery auburn hair, a unibrow, tanned yellow skin, and his clothing consisted of a green jacket, red and white striped undershirt, purple jeans, and black boots.

The second boy was of average height. He had golden blonde hair covered by a black beanie and wore a tomato red short-sleeved shirt, purple shorts, long red socks, and light blue dress shoes.

The third and final boy was relatively short and had light pink skin, messy dark blue hair with three stalks jutting out, and wore a yellow short-sleeved shirt with a purple collar, red vertical stripe, light blue jeans, and red sneakers.

"Oh my, what happened to these three young men?"

Holbrooke approached the three before a faint glow caught her attention. She looked down to see a crystal shaped like a hexagon beside the boys and gasped when she recognized what it was.

"The Slayer's Gem! But I thought it had been lost to time!"

Worried for the three boys, Holbrooke knew she needed to alert the rest of the staff at Luna Nova to get them medical attention. She just hoped her students would be welcoming of these three newcomers.

"It's been quite a while since boys went to Luna Nova. I just hope we can help these boys recover and hopefully get them back home safely."

I was inspired by a piece of fanart made by a friend on DeviantArt that depicted Akko, Lotte, and Sucy with the Eds, and then this story came about. I hope you all enjoy it and be sure to Favorite, Follow, and Comment. No flames, please. Those will be used to attack Eddy's brother's house.
