A/N: Here comes the beginning of the Grounder arc!
The darkness clears as Clarke finds herself not knowing where she is, her mouth is dry and she feels like crap.
She feels something heavy attached to her ankle and sees a cuff with a chain binding her to a wall.
Groaning she sits up and looks around.
She was in a cell but where is everyone?
Standing she test the distance of her chained ankle, it wasn't that far from the wall just enough she could walk a few feet.
And definitely far from the cell door that seems to be the only exit.
She sits down irritated that she ended up like this and begins to think.
How did she even end up down here, are there other people on Earth that survived? More importantly where are her friends?
All she remembers is a sharp pain then… her memory of what happened after is blank. She must have passed out somehow.
How could she get out and find her friends?
Then she hears a noise the cell door opens and there are tall men standing at the cell analyzing her then he speaks a language that she doesn't understand to her.
"I don't understand."
He pauses and glares beginning to speak again.
"You trespass on our land without warning and you are their leader if you wish to live you have to show what you are worth."
Clarke stares confused Leader what is he talking about?
Before she could ponder the statement he nods to the other men in the room and they all stand aside a woman with braided hair limped past them escorted her to the other side of the cell.
Then the tall man said something in another language then left.
Which confused Clarke even more.
Clarke studied the shy woman who wouldn't meet her eyes, the brunette held her right arm like it was in pain she couldn't tell from their distance but it looked like the woman was injured.
She wanted to help with her power but she shouldn't approach without even talking to her first.
"Hi, umm do you speak English?"
No response at first but she receives a shy nod.
"Yes."
"Well my name is Clarke what's yours?"
Green eyes meet hers and Clarke felt like electricity struck her like a connection formed that she couldn't explain.
"Lexa..."
