Chapter 10- Surprise
Harry had forgotten to tell his parents the next morning about what had happened with Umbridge the night before in his detentions so the detentions continued, and his hand was getting worse and worse Ron and Hermione eventually made him go up to the hospital wing and get at least some cream for the cut on his hand so it wouldn't scar onto his hand. Harry had to try so hard not to talk in Defense Against the Dark Arts because he knew that it would only get him more detentions and even more pain to his hand not to mention that Angelina would have his head if he missed any more quidditch this year. Harry was convinced that holding his tongue would be the hardest thing that he would ever have to do in his life. It was starting to bother him to no ends that they weren't able to do any practical in the class too. Theory could only get you so far but, when it comes to real life theory wasn't going to prepare you as well as doing it in person.
James and Lily were also very busy at home as they were looking through multiple books on trying to find out why they were back from the dead and if they were in danger of anything extra since they are supposed to be dead. They read book after book and still couldn't find anything for the past week they had been searching the library trying to find something on it. Through that week though they weren't able to talk to Harry much as he was busy with his homework and detentions and when Harry did have time to talk to them it was normally after his breakfast but, Lily always seemed to be nauseas when Harry called. The week had finally ended, and James and Lily decided to take a break for the weekend they still had about half of the books to go through. Remus and Sirius were also going to come over as it was the full moon and they were going to spend it outside like the old days. It was about a little after noon when Harry called again.
"Hey mom dad." Harry said through the mirror.
"Harry How are you doing?" Lily asked as she saw Harry through the mirror.
"I'm doing well what about you mom whenever I tried to call you seemed to be sick." Harry responded.
"I'm doing much better it seems to be only really bad in the morning but as the day goes on it gets better." Lily answered.
"That's good to hear." Harry said.
"So how was your first week back?" James asked.
"It was alright the Defense teacher is still the same and potions is still a nightmare." Harry said.
"Well Harry if you need any help with potions I can help." Lily said.
"It's not so much that I'm bad at potions it's more like the teacher is difficult on me." Harry responded.
"Well having a difficult teacher isn't the worst thing in the world it just means you'll be better at that subject." James told Harry.
"What about Defense is your teacher still giving you a hard time too?" Lily asked.
"No not as much because I learned how to bite my tongue and not get into further trouble." Harry answered.
"Harry you shouldn't back down just because of some detentions." Lily said.
"Yeah, but if I keep on getting detentions the captain of the quidditch team and McGonagall will have my head." Harry responded.
"That's my boy keep on getting detentions until you get threatened with not being able to play quidditch." James said enthusiastically. He saw his wife just roll his eyes beside him.
This made Harry feel a little better about not being able to stand up for what he thought was right was that his dad knew what he was experiencing. "Yeah, the thing that's bothering the most is that we can't do anything practical we are just learning the theory behind the spells. Harry said.
"Well maybe you should do something about it if it gets any worse." Lily said.
"How am I supposed to do anything about it?" Harry asked.
"You can always teach them." James said.
"How am I supposed to teach them?" Harry asked confused.
"You have already faced Voldemort and you know a Patronus what do you mean what am I supposed to teach them. You can literally teach them what they need to know." Lily responded.
"Yeah, but once Umbridge finds out we'll all be in big trouble." Harry said.
"Not if she can't find you." James said.
"How is it possible to hide in this castle where someone can't rat us out?" Harry asked.
"You can always use the come and go room." Lily responded.
"What's the come and go room it's no where on the map." Harry said.
"The come and go room or the room of requirements is on the seventh floor on the left corridor across from the tapestry of the trolls trying to learn ballet. You just have to walk past it three times thinking about what you want." James said.
"How do you guys know where it is and how come it isn't on the map?" Harry asked.
"Well, we used it to get away from my friends when we wanted to be alone." James answered with a knowing smirk.
"James!" Lily screamed and hit him on the head as her cheeks started to blush. "Harry doesn't need to know that."
Even though that was too much information for him he still laughed in his mind briefly forgetting that his parents were still only twenty-one.
"The reason that it isn't on the map is the room is unplottable that's why no one could find us if they tried their hardest." James responded.
"I'll think about it we'll see how the next few weeks go in the class." Harry said after thinking about it for a bit.
"Make sure you tell us when your next quidditch game is going to be we want to be there." Lily said.
"Yeah, I'll make sure I've got to go now though love you guys." Harry said.
"Love you too Harry. Bye" James and Lily said together.
It was another couple of hours until Remus and Sirius arrived at Potter Manor. It had been a long time since they had done this Sirius would occasionally drop by to help Remus with his transformations but, it had been before James went into hiding that they went outside and explored around. Lily watched for a bit as the dog, stag and werewolf ran out the back enjoying their merry little time. Lily had other things to do tonight though she had suspicions about why she was getting nauseas in the mornings the only reason why James didn't really know why she was getting sick in the morning is because the first time this happened James had been away on an extended order mission when this happened to her. Lily went outside the Manor and went to a muggle store to get a pregnancy test. It took her no less than ten minutes to get what she needed and be back at the manor. Lily took the test and she and was shocked by the results of the test.
The moon had finally gone away, and the sun was starting to rise Sirius and Remus had already floo network back to Grimmauld place where Sirius would patch up Remus. James and Sirius had next to no injuries just small cuts that would heal in a couple of days. James went up to his room where he saw Lily on the bed shivering because in the night, she had kicked off the covers in her sleep James went over to the bed got in and put the covers over him and Lily. He wrapped his arms around Lily as he got comfortable in bed. He must have disturbed Lily more then he thought though as Lily started to stir and turned around and looked her husband in the eye and gave him a kiss.
"How was your night darling?" Lily asked.
"It was pretty good it was nice to get out with the lads and help Remus with his transformations get a little bit of break from studying." James responded. "What about you how was your night Honey?"
"Well, it was pretty eventful actually." Lily said.
"What did you do?" James asked.
"Well, I went to a muggle store yesterday and I found out something." Lily answered. Lily's nerves started to get out of control as she didn't know what James' response was going to be when he found out what she was going to tell him.
"What did you find out?" James asked.
"James I'm pregnant." Lily said.
