Vanessa Enotecha

It was horrific. There were corpses of the witches that inhabited the forests scattered around the branches and foliage. The living witches were fighting for their lives as metal-clad men who were firing never-before seen weapons. I looked over at James. He wore a terrified expression as all the color drained from his face. I noticed that he was holding his rifle in his hands, his fingers wrapped tightly around it.

"Vanessa," he said as he looked me in the eyes. "Get your broom. We have to push them out of the forest," he said, fast-paced walking to my broom. I hopped onto it and James joined me. One arm around my waist, the other holding his rifle as he fired the weapon at the violent bandits. I saw two of the bandits Trying to violate Elvira and Samantha. I tied the two bandits to a nearby tree, the string digging into their necks, killing them. James hopped onto one of the large branches.

"Vanessa, lead the injured witches and healing mages to a defensible position!" he shouted as he fired off a few more shots, killing three of the iron-clad bandits.

"I'm not leaving you alone!" I shouted. "I can call in a request for support from Captain Yami," I said, opening a magic channel. A picture of Yami sitting on the couch.

"Oh Vanessa, what do you need? What's that sound?" he asked me.

"I need reinforcements at the Forest of Witches! Its come under attack!"

"Ok. I'll send over Finral and Luck. I'll notify Gordon who's with Asta so they can provide back up," Yami informed me. "In the meantime, do what you can to protect the people," The captain ordered.

"Understood," I said, closing the magic channel. Seconds later Luck and Finral appeared.

James Miller

Slaughter. Pure, unadulterated slaughter, just like Atlanta.

"Hey James, what do you think is most awful thing in this new world of ours is?" Gean asked.

"I guess it would be rape, since the pour woman has to live with it…" I said with little care. I was tired, we had been on the road for a few weeks now, dodging ambushes and crazies all the while. I had hoped that Atlanta would provide some sort of refuge from the exhausting journey, that presumption however, was truly misguided.

The car slowly crawled through the eerie city streets, all too vacant of sound. It put me on edge as I saw bits of figures darting in and out of alleyways. It was only when we got deeper into the city that we heard them. Waves upon waves of wild barbarity, makeshift crosses with the mangled corpses of men and children. The women were made to be the playthings of the horrendous raiders.

Next the smell hit me, burnt and rotting flesh assaulted my nostrils. Gean and I grabbed our automatics as we rolled through a blood-soaked parade of slaughter and violation. A horde of people ran around our car. At the tail end of the horde I could hear horrific screams. Gean backed up the car into an unoccupied alleyway. He turned the engine off but kept the doors locked, our guns at the ready.

"Only shoot if we're found, ok?" For the rest of the day and the night following it, all I could hear were those horrific screams. Screams which were now echoing throughout the Forest of Witches.

"James! Are you alright?" Vanessa asked as we flew through the forest on her broom, Finral and Luck on another broom.

"Yea, just a had my head in the clouds is all…"

"Do you know these people?" Finral asked.

"I know of them, and their all bastards!" I replied.

"Well since you know them, how should we handle this?" Finral asked as his grimor began to glow.

"Kill them. Luck, you focus on killing the raiders. Finral, you'll be evacuating the witches to a central defendable location. Vanessa, help set up traps with your string."

"Are you… sure?" Finral asked me with a bit of hesitation.

"Yes. these people are monsters, murderers, and rapists, give them no mercy and show them no pity."

Suddenly there was a loud boom, a large explosion obliterating a large golem. It was followed by multiple streams of machine gun fire, cutting down more witches.

I looked down in shock to see an old Sherman tank that was rolling through the forest. "How the fuck did they get a tank! At least it's not an Abrams," I thought as I shouldered my rifle, picking off another raider.

"What's that?! I wanna fight it!" Luck asked, pointing at the tank.

"No. That'll be my kill. The rest of you help with the evacuation. By the way, Vanessa, what's the best place for the witches to be moved to?" I asked.

"The Queen of Witches' palace," she replied.

"Ok, good to know, let's go!" I shouted, firing off my rifle, blasting a raider's shoulder off.

Vanessa filled the forest with her string, using it to ensnare the horde of hostiles. Luck zipped around the forest, launching himself using the strings, mowing through the ranks of raiders. The tank, however, continued to advance as a female popped out the top of the tank. She wore metal plates as a bra and some metal shoulder pauldrons. She had a carbine in her hands and was firing at the witches trying in vain to fight back.

"Keep pushing! Its a fucking piece of cake!"

I rushed the tank, killing a raider with a grenade by snapping his neck. I took the grenade and opened a side door, throwing the grenade into the crew quarters of the tank. The commander flew out of the tank as the explosion eviscerated the tank crew. I aimed at the commander, but she threw a knife at me, the blade stabbing me in my upper chest. She threw another two, both of them piercing my left lung. I fired my rifle, blowing apart her left knee. She pulled herself up using a nearby tree, aiming her pistol at my head.

"Any last worst, shitbag?" she asked, a confident smirk on her face.

"Yea, LUCK!" I yelled.

"Was that supposed to-" Luck slammed into her head with his lightning covered feet, crushing her head beneath his foot.

"You alright?" Luck asked with a giggle, extending a hand to help me to my feet.

"I've been stabbed in the chest and the lungs. I need to find a healing mage. Now." Luck nodded and took me back to the Palace of the Queen of Witches where I met Vanessa and Finral.

"James! What happened?!" Vanessa demanded, waving over a healing witch to heal my wounds.

"Its worse than I thought… they have tech from my world."

"Then you should know how to destroy it," A deep female voice asserted. I looked over to Vanessa to see a horrified look on her face.

"Mother…"

"I'm glad you were able to enjoy yourself while your sisters were being slaughtered," The Queen of Witches said, glaring at Vanessa. "I'd almost thought you'd die a virgin, Vanessa," her mother said with venom. I looked over to my partner, Vanessa was wearing a look of horror on her face. Anger began to well up inside of me, I clenched my fists, but felt Vanessa's hands over my own. They were warm and comforting.

Her voice was a bit shaky, as if she was about to cry. I looked into her eyes, and I could see the tears forming under them. "Don't let her get under your skin. I'm here, and so is Finral and Luck. You're not alone," she said, painting a wavering smile. I cupped her cheeks in my hands and gave her a kiss on the forehead, my mind calming down.

"And neither are you," I replied.

"Now that you two are done with your touching reunion, there are some important matters to attend to," The Queen of Witches said. "While we have managed to rally all of the surviving forces of the Forest of Witches and erect a magic barrier, we are still under siege. The magicless forces have lost roughly eighty-five percent and they are being backed by strong bandit clans that are based in the Spade and Diamond kingdoms."

"There are reinforcements coming, but they'll take a while to arrive. One of them you've likely seen before, his name is Asta," Finral explained.

"Oh, the boy with the anti-magic, he might come in handy for the mage bandits, but what of the magicless ones?" The Queen inquired.

"Leave them to me. Their leader is dead so their organizational structure is heavily damaged. I'll use that against them," I said standing up and looking the Queen of Witches in the eyes.

"Maybe having you around wasn't such a bad idea."

"We'll need to counterattack just as Asta and Gordon arrive, Finral, when their in sight, give me the signal and we'll attack," I said as the healing was finished up, loading my rifle.

Asta

"Hey Gordon, we're almost there!" I said with excitement. My mission with Gordon in the Spade Kingdom and now there was another mission to take on. I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited but I was also quite worried. Finral's tone in his message to Gordon was panicked and he had said that the Forest of Witches was under attack. Vanessa and Luck were with him along with a man I'd never seen before. "Could it be another member of the Black Bulls?"

Nomad

I awoke with Licita holding onto my arm, the two of us in the nude. We had made love the night prior. She was passionate and horny as all hell. From what I could gather between her heavy pants and moans, she hadn't been with a man in such a way for sixteen years.

"Good morning, lovebird," she whispered as she traced a circle on my bare chest. "Last night was… fun," She said with a smile, moving into a little spoon position. I put my arms around her as she rested in my arms.

"Licita I need to talk to-" Acier said as Ciel and Loyce followed in close behind her.

"AH!" Licita shouted, diving under the covers.

"Really?" Acier said in annoyment.

"Look, the two of us are adults, and we can make adult decisions," I retorted, hearing the lecturing beginning.

"Its not that, I want you two dressed. I was able to make contact with my eldest son, and the five of us are going to make contact with the Clover Kingdom," Acier explained.

"Really?" Licita asked, her head popping out of the sheets.

"Yes," Loyce said with his calm demeanor.

"Oh, well then, let me get my clothes," I said.
