Location: Beacon Ballroom
Sora could feel the light of the sun shining on him from the ballroom windows and it caused him to stir.
"Hmm… Morning already?" He asked as he began rubbing his eyes.
"Yup yup yup! It's finally morning!" Sora quickly removed his hands from his eyes and saw Nora standing over him with a massive smile on her face.
"Whoa!" Sora yelped as he jumped up in shock. Nora laughed at the boy's reaction causing him to pout.
"Give me a break Nora." Sora said rubbing the back of his head.
"Sorry Sora, couldn't resist." She then grabbed the Keyblade Wielder by his arm and began pulling him over to Ren.
"Come on, let's wake up Ren and get some breakfast." She said.
"Gah Nora! Hold on!" Sora Protested as he looked back to a still sleeping Blake, but it was too late Nora had already pulled him to the other side of the room.
"Renny, wake up! Breakfast Time!" Nora said as she began shaking her best friend awake. Ren had long since gotten used to Nora waking him up early and he sighed.
"Alright Alright, I'm getting up." He said with a yawn.
"Hurry Hurry! I already got Sora, we need to wash up and head down to Breakfast!'' Nora said in a bubbly tone. Ren rubbed his eyes and looked behind Nora to see Sora looking tired.
"Oh, Good Morning Sora. Sorry if Nora woke you up." He said in an apologetic tone. Sora just smiled at the boy and waved it off.
"It's fine, don't worry about it. I do need to go and get my friend though, I feel like she would get on my case if she found out I took off without her.'' Sora said, looking back at a still sleeping Blake. Nora heard this and she frowned a bit.
"Oh sorry, I thought you came here alone. I didn't realize you pulled you away from your friend.'' She said in an apologetic tone. Sora looked back to Nora and saw the frown on her face.
"Hey, it's ok. No need to beat yourself up over it. How about you and Ren head down for breakfast first and Blake and I can meet you down there alright?" He asked, giving Nora a warm smile. Nora blinked in surprise before smiling back at Sora.
"You got it! C'mon Ren, let's go get seats." Nora then grabbed Ren's arms and began dragging him out of the room.
"We'll see you later." Ren said not really caring about being dragged by Nora. Sora just watched the two leave the ballroom and he shook his head.
"Never a dull moment with those two." He said with a chuckle. Sora then walked back over to Blake,as he did he began looking around the ballroom to see most of the students waking up and his eyes landed on Ruby and Yang who were still sleeping. "Yang, Ruby, you two better wake up." He said walking past them.
The two sisters just waved the boy off as they mumbled something for about 'five more minutes.' Sora chuckled at the sisters.
"Those two are funny." He said. Sora then reached Blake and Kneeled down to wake her up. "Blake… Blake, wake up." He said shaking the Faunas girl.
Blake turned away from Sora and muttered 'Not now Ilia' causing him to raise an eyebrow.
"Who's Ilia?" He thought to himself. He decided to ask Blake later and continued to shake Blake.
"Come on Blake, it's initiation day! We need to get a move on!" Sora said shaking her more. Blake slowly opened her eyes and let out a soft yawn.
"It's too early." She said stretching out her arms. Sora chuckled.
"Sorry Blake." He said. Blake then turned to the brunette and saw his usual smile on his face.
"Does he ever not have a smile on his face?" Blake thought to herself while smiling back at Sora. "It's fine, and Morning." She said.
"Morning to you too. Ready for the day?" Sora asked.
"Once I eat something and have a cup of tea, sure." Blake yawned once again and stood up.
"But first I'm gonna shower." Sora smiled at his friend and gave her a nod.
"Good call, that would be a good way to start the day." Blake nodded back and the two proceeded to the showers. As the duo left the, a certain brown and pink haired girl was wide awake and watching her target.
ZZZ… ZZZ…
The girl reached into a bag and pulled out her scroll.
Dum-Dum: How are you holding up?
The girl smiled at the message and she began typing.
I'm fine, no problems here.
Dum-Dum: Just checking, I really don't like having you so far away.
The girl's smile got bigger, she knew whoever she was texting, they were worried about her.
Don't worry, you know I can take care of myself and all I'm doing is gathering info. I'll be alright.
Dum-Dum: OK. Just keep in touch.
I will.
The girl then closed her scroll and threw it back into her bag. "Alright, time to get to work. Step one: Get close to Spikey! Step 2: Partner with him once the initiation starts. Step 3: Find out what makes him tick. This will be a piece of ice cream cake." She thought to herself before grabbing her stuff and heading for the showers.
A/N: I'm not sorry.
Location: Cafeteria
"You were right, showers are the best way to start the day." Blake said as she and Sora were waiting in line to get their food.
"Always is! Are you ready for today?"
"As ready as I'll ever be. Compared to everything else I've dealt with in my life this will probably be the easiest thing I've ever done." Blake said with a small smile. Sora smiled back at the girl.
"That's the spirit, Blake! Just watch, we'll get past this with flying colors." He said confidently. Blake couldn't help feeling uplifted after hearing Sora's words; his positive outlook on life was something she didn't know she needed.
"SORA!" Both Sora and Blake jumped and turned to see Nora waving at them at a table with Ren sitting next to her with his usual neutral expression. "GET YOUR BUTT OVER HERE!" She yelled, causing all the students to turn to her with questioning and irritated glances. Sora ignored the glaces at his red haired friend and waved back to her.
"She's still loud." Blake said shaking her head.
"You get used to it, c'mon." The two then proceeded over to Nora and Ren's table.
"What took you so long, I thought you forgot about us." Nora said, crossing her arms.
"Sorry Nora, I wanted to take a shower. Plus, I didn't want to leave Blake all by herself… though I doubt she would mind too much.'' Sora said with a smirk. Blake rolled her eyes at the Keyblade wielder.
"You're hilarious." she said in a deadpan tone.
"And don't you forget it." Sora's words caused Blake's lips to curl upward and she shook her head. Nora and Ren watched the interaction in amusement, it sort of reminded them of their relationship… just toned down.
"Would you both like to sit down?" Ren asked with a small smile. Sora nodded and turned his head to Blake who looked unsure.
"Hey, this is your chance to get to know someone new." He whispered to the secret Faunas. Blake was gonna refuse and sit somewhere else on her own, but she remembered her conversation with Sora last night.
"You're right, Trust isn't something you can give out easily but I can try to let others in." The words echoed in Blake's mind for a few seconds until she sighed.
"I guess so." Sora beamed at her words and the two finally sat down.
"Finally, now eat up you two! We need all of our strength for the initiation!'' Nora said, slurping down two full pancakes. Sora couldn't help but chuckle at Nora's antics and decided to follow her example.
"You got it." Sora then began to eat the bacon on his plate. While Sora and Nora were eating, Blake and Ren rolled their eyes and then looked at each other.
"Let me guess, full of energy and overly optimistic?" Ren asked, gesturing to Sora. Blake blinked twice then snickered.
"Oh yeah, they tend to run off on their own and get into trouble as well." Ren chuckled.
"Same here." Blake chuckled as well and the two stared at each other once again.
"Lie Ren." He said holding out his hand, Blake hesitated for a moment, but shook his hand.
"Blake Belladonna."
"Pleasure to meet you, Blake."
"Likewise."
Nora had finished her pancakes… somehow and turned to Blake.
"Nora Valkyrie, What's up?" She said with a wide smile. Blake knew the redhead in front of her was loud and in her opinion a bit annoying, but she saw the smile Nora was giving to her and it reminded her of Sora's.
"Nice to meet you, Nora." Sora watched with a proud smile, he was happy to see Blake slowly opening up. Not completely, but it was a step in the right direction in his eyes.
"So what do you think they'll make us do for the initiation?" He asked the group. Blake and Ren both began thinking of many possibilities, but Nora knew only one thing that she wanted.
"Hopefully if we fight against the other students, You and I need to have a Rematch!'' She said pointing a finger to Sora. The Keyblade wielder and the secret Faunas widened their eyes at Nora's words.
"Nora, it's not polite to point." Ren said while taking a sip of his tea.
"Why do you want a rematch with Sora?" Blake asked.
"Because we never got to Finish! Sora and I were having an amazing fight and Glynda stopped it because of the time limit!" Nora explained.
"No I think she stopped us because she didn't want us destroying the stage. Remember that huge explosion we caused?" Sora asked sheepishly. Ren and Blake Snickered while Nora blushed in embarrassment.
"Oh right…" Nora said.
"Hey, no need to to feel bad. If you want that Rematch later in the school year, I'll give it to you." Nora's smile returned.
"You're so on!" Sora smiled back and nodded.
"I'm not looking forward to that honestly." Ren said shaking his head.
"Neither am I." Ren and Blake chuckled.
"Morning~!" The group turned to see Yang and Ruby walking up to them.
"Oh you both finally woke up." Sora said in a smart tone.
"Oh haha! Blame the 'little' sister here, she forgot to set the alarm on our scrolls." Yang said, hitting Ruby's arm lightly.
"EXCUSE ME! That was your job, 'Big' Sister!" Yang just rolled her eyes while Sora just sighed at the two sisters. Nora began snickering at the bickering sisters while Ren and Blake just shook their heads.
"This is gonna be a fun day." Sora thought.
Location: Ozpin's Office
Ozpin and Glynda were looking over the security cameras in the Emerald Forest and the Grimm that were lurking around in it.
"Is everything in place for today?"
"Yes Sir, all the cameras are online and fully functional and the relic pieces you asked Oobleck to place at the old ruins yesterday are all there." Gylda answered. Ozpin smiled a bit.
"Wonderful, everything is going as planned. I wonder what our new students will show this time around." Ozpin waited for Gyldn to speak , but she never did. He then looked over to her and saw that the Witch of Beacon was looking at a certain black phone-like device and it wasn't a scroll.
Mickey: Heard that Sora was going to be with you for a while, don't be too hard on him.
Glynda cracked a small smile causing Ozpin to raise a curious eyebrow,
I make no promises, I have to maintain the rules of this world as well as the rules of the school I work in. I can tell he's as much of a trouble maker as you were back in the day.
Mickey; Gosh, did you have to bring that up? I was young and inexperienced during the time.
Doesn't excuse the fact that you flooded the tower while the Master and I were only gone for an hour!
Mickey: ...Ok you're right. Just… let Sora follow his heart. He's a special boy and who knows he might teach you a thing or two.
Glynda paused as she read that message, Master Yen-Sid said something similar and to think Sora could get the respect of both Yen-Sid and Mickey surprised her. She had heard of what Sora had done in his past adventures for Yen-Sid, but it was hard to believe without seeing it herself.
Very well, I'll give him… some leeway.
Mickey: You're the best Glynda, Thank you and Please give my best to Sora.
Glynda then pocketed her phone and she sighed. "I'm guessing you're done?" Glynda looked back to Ozpin who looked like he wanted a few answers.
"Forgive me sir, my old friend Mickey just found out that Sora was under my protection for a while." Ozpin put a hand on his chin.
"I see, I actually wanted to talk to you about the young man you're looking after." Glynda cursed internally, she knew this was gonna happen and she dreaded it
"What do you need to know?" She asked in a professional tone.
"Well, I'd like to know where the boy comes from for starters. I've looked over his file and he's not in any training academy."
"That's because he trained outside of the Kingdoms. You see, Master Yen-Sid lives in a remote area outside of Vacuo and that's where he trained Myself and Mickey. Since there are many dangerous Grimm in the deserts of Vacuo, we were able to grow much faster than normal. Sora did the same as well as Traveling around other Kingdoms and beyond them on his own to improve himself." Glynda may have dreaded this conversation, but that didn't mean she didn't plan for it. Ozpin took in the information he was given and he nodded.
"I see, that would explain the level of skill and power he displayed the night he met . What about his weapon? I've seen many strange weapons over the years but a giant Key is very new for me." Glynda took a breath.
"Sora based his weapon on an old Fairy Tale our Master told me as well, when the world was protected by warriors with Key-shaped swords." The old man now looked confused, he had never heard of a fairy tail like that.
"Interesting, can't say I'm familiar with that one. What about the boy's Semblance, when I looked over the battle footage all I could see was him using his weapon and various uses of Dust."
"He doesn't have one, his Aura was only unlocked the night you met him." Ozpin's eyes widened at that while Glynda thought back to that night.
Flashback, 2 weeks ago
"I'm ready for anything." Sora said in a serious tone. Gynda nodded at the young Keyblade Wielder.
"Very well, I'm guessing since you've been here for a while you know about Aura and Semblances, correct?" Sora nodded.
"My friend Blake told me about them, as well as the way the people of this world use the elements using...uh… Dust, right?"
"Indeed, this is how I've been able to hide my magic to this world by passing it off as Dust and you will do the same. Furthermore, you'll need to have your Aura unlocked. While you are very skilled Sora, many will start to notice that you don't have an Aura of your own and while I believe you don't need it, it's the best way for you to fit in." Glynda explained. Sora thought about it for a few seconds before nodding his head.
"If it helps me stay hidden, sure, but how do I do that?" he asked. Glynda walked towards the boy and placed one hand on the boy's hand and the other on his shoulder.
"Close your eyes." Sora was confused but he did as he was told. Glynda then began to focus and a purple aura surrounded her.
"For it is in Balance that we achieve immortality, through this we become the warriors of Light the world needs to combat the Darkness. Infinite in Mind and Body to overcome all, I release your soul and by thy shoulder, Grace thee." Soon, Sora's body was covered in a sky blue light and he felt a strange surge of power flow through his body. Glynda then took her hands off Sora and looked over the boy. To say she was surprised was an understatement, Sora's Aura was… overwhelming.
"Can I open my eyes?" Sora asked.
"Yes, you can. How do you feel?" Sora didn't know how to explain it, he felt stronger… but it was also as if something else was stirring inside him. As if his heart was more full than normal.
"My entire body feels lighter and my heart feels strange." He explained.
"You're body feeling lighter is normal, but your heart, I'm not too sure. It might be the fact that you're a Keyblade Wielder, it will probably take a while for your body and magic to adjust to the Aura boost." Glynda theorized.
"That might be it." Sora said crossing his arms.
"In any case, what's done is done and we need to move to preparing for the Organization and another threat."
Back to Present
Glynda sighed and looked back to her boss.
"Unbelievable, this young man is so skilled yet only having his Aura unlocked recently. What kind of training did your Master put him through?" Ozpin asked in shock.
"Intense training, whether it be Grimm, another huntsman or the many adventures Sora went off on by himself. The Master speaks very highly of him and I'm hoping he can show me what impresses him so much." Ozpin nodded in understanding.
"I'm quite curious as well, Sora to me sounds quite impressive." Glynda sighed in relief, but her worries were far from over as now that Ozpin was interested in Sora.
Location: Locker rooms
"So let me get this straight, the two of you fought off a group of crooks and Grimm with the witch lady from yesterday and didn't invite me!" Sora and Ruby had told the group about the night they met and were now dealing with a curious Nora.
"Yes and we didn't know we were gonna be attacked." Sora defended.
"Yea, it's not our fault." Ruby said putting her hand up.
"It actually might be Sora's, he has a knack for getting into trouble from what I experienced." Blake said with her head in a book. Yang, Ruby and Nora all began laughing at the brunette while Ren just chuckled. Sora gave the group a pout and crossed his arms.
"I'm not that bad."
"Do I need to go over the last two weeks we worked at the tea shop?" Sora shuddered.
"NO! I mean… no need for that." The group along with Blake and Ren laughed louder. Sora just continued to pout. While the group was carrying on and having fun, Weiss was busy trying to get into the good graces of a certain Mistral Champion.
"So Pyrrha, who were you thinking of partnering with? A warrior as amazing as you must have thought about this." She said in a sweet tone. Pyrrha shrugged her shoulder.
"Honestly, I haven't given it much thought. I figured I'd let the chips fall where they may, honestly I'd be fine with anyone as long as they're nice to work with, I'll be content." Weiss was slightly moved by the champion's words.
"Well how about me? I'm sure the two most gifted fighters in Atlas and Mistral can handle anything the Academy can throw at us." Pyrrha thought about it for a second.
"I wouldn't be opposed to the idea." Weiss smiled in excitement.
"That's great." While Weiss was smiling sweetly on the outside, on the inside she had a few devious thoughts.
"This is perfect, the two smartest and strongest students in the school. Together no one can stand against us! We'll have good grades, we'll be the top students in the school!"
"This is ridiculous, where is Locker 636!? I know that was where I put my gear!" Pyrrha looked over to see Jaune walking past with a piece of paper in his hands and it looked like he was struggling. "Why does this have to happen to me?" He groaned. Pyrrha smiled and walked over to the Blonde, leaving Weiss to her own thoughts.
"Pardon me, are you alright?" Jaune turned to see the redhead walking over to him and his eyes widened.
"Huh… oh uh yea, I'm kinda lost." He said awkwardly. Pyrrha nodded her head and held out her hand. It took a minute for Jaune to realize she wanted to see the paper in his hand and he handed it to her. While Pyrrha was looking over the paper, Jaune couldn't help but notice how amazing the girl in front of him looked. She looked like an amazon in golden armor and to him it looked awesome.
"Ah, I see your problem. You're in the wrong locker room, your locker is in the one next door." Pyrrha explained. Jaune facepalmed.
"That makes sense." Pyrrha giggled at the Blonde.
"It's a simple mistake, nothing to get upset about." Jaune took his hand off his face and smiled.
"Thanks, I appreciate it… uh… sorry I didn't get your name." Pyrrha's eyes went wide, she didn't expect to not be recognized.
"You don't know who I am?" Jaune raised an eyebrow.
"Should I?" He asked. Pyrrha didn't know why, but she felt strangely good about not being recognized.
"Nevermind, I'm Pyrrha. Pyrrha Nikos, it's a pleasure to meet you."
"Jaune Arc, nice to meet ya! See you around?" He asked. Pyrrha couldn't help but smile at the Arc boy.
"Of course." Jaune smiled back at her and went on his way to his locker. Pyrrha watched the boy walk away and she couldn't stop smiling at him.
Would all first year students please report to the initiation area! I repeat, all first year students report to the initiation area.
Sora and the group all heard this and they all stood up.
"It's go time!" Sora said summoning his Kingdom Key. Yang stared at the weapon Sora summoned and she cocked a brow.
"That's your weapon?" She asked, thinking the blade looked silly.
"It looks different from the one you fought me with." Nora commented.
"That's because I used a different form against you. You see, depending on the Keychain I have on the end of my blade my weapon changes form.'' Sora then removed the default Keychain and pulled out another one that looked like a roaring lion. He then placed it onto his Kingdom Key and in a flash of grey light, the Keyblade transformed into a long silver blade with a lion's head at the tip and a black guard at the hilt. The group besides Blake all had wide eyes and stared at the Keyblade in wonder.
"This one is called the Sleeping Lion, the Keychain was given to me by my friend Leon.'' Sora explained. Yang's opinion of the Keyblade changed immediately, the Sleeping Lion looked amazing to her.
"THAT'S SICK! It looks like the one you fought me with, only this one has a cool Lion aesthetic!" Nora Gushed.
"So cool!" Ruby said with figurative stars in her eyes.
"Are we all going to stand here and look at the oversized Key or are we gonna head out now?" The group looked over to Blake and Ren who were waiting at the door to the locker room with their usual neutral expressions.
"They're right, let's get a move on!"
"Right behind you Sora!"
"Wait, Let me grab Crescent Rose!"
"You should have done that earlier sis!" Blake and Ren just shook their heads at the group and began walking away.
"I always feel like I'm a magnet for loud people." Blake said.
"I know how you feel, but at least they're entertaining." Ren said, smiling at the secret Faunas. Blake couldn't disagree with the green-clad boy.
"True."
Location: Beacon Cliffs
Sora, the Group and the rest of the first year students had all arrived at the edge of the Beacon Cliffs where Glynda and Ozpin were waiting for them. Gynday then stepped forward.
"Welcome all, will each student please take a spot on one of the silver platforms on the cliff." While most of the students understood what this meant, Sora and Jaune were clearly confused but took a stop anyway. Jaune had seen an empty spot next to Pyrrha and decided to stand next to her while Sora went to an empty one next to a short girl with Pink and Brown hair. As the students took their places, Ozpin stepped forward and cleared his throat.
"For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest." Sora took in the old man's words and he looked down at the massive forest below.
"Wow, reminds me of Deep Jungle. I wonder how Tarzan and Jane are doing." He thought to himself.
"I'm sure many of you know that teams are going to be assigned to you, but partners will be given today." Glynda said, taking a quick glance at Sora. Ruby was having an internal freakout while Nora cheered to herself.
"That being said, as you enter the Emerald Forest, the first person you make eye contact with will be your partner for the next four years." Ozpin said while taking a sip of his coffee.
"WHAT!?" Ruby spazzed. Sora honestly didn't mind this set up, he may have wanted to pair up with Blake but this is an opportunity to meet new people.
"After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest and remember you will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path… or you will die."
"Way to raise our spirits Prof." Sora said to himself.
"You will be monitored and graded through the duration of the initiation, but the instructors will not intervene. To Complete the initiation, you must find the abandoned ruins in the middle of the forest. Each pair must find a relic in the ruins and return to the cliffs alive. Are there any questions?"
Jaune wanted to raise his hand, but Pyrrha spoke up.
"Are you alright, Jaune?"
"Um… not really, guess I'm nervous." Jaune then took a small breath.
"It's fine, I'm sure once we get off the bullhead my nerves will go away." Pyrrha looked at the blonde with a confused look on her face.
"I'm sorry, what bullhead?" Pyrrha asked. Now Jaune had a confused look on his face.
"You know the ones to take us down to the forest." Pyrrha blinked twice and she had a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach.
"Um Jaune, there are no Bullheads." She said slowly.
"Then, how are we- " Before Jaune could finish his sentence, he was launched into the air by the silver platform underneath him.
"WAAAAAAAAAAH!" Pyrrha watched on with a worried look on her face.
"Oh dear." She then got ready to be launched next and once she was she did her best to head in Jaune's direction. Sora watched on as the students were launched one after the other and then looked to Ozpin.
"Is this normal, for all new students to be launched off a cliff?" He asked the old man.
"It's tradition, Mr. Hikari. We do this to see how the students work in critical situations." Sora couldn't argue with traditions, no matter how dangerous.
"If you say so." Sora said getting ready to be launched next.
"Sora, remember what we talked about." Gylnda said.
"I wo- WHOA!" Sora was then launched into the air without warning.
"May I ask-"
"No." Ozpin took a sip of his coffee and dropped the subject.
With Sora
Sora was gliding through the air using his flowmotion and was looking at the forest below.
"Wow, it's a lot more open than Deep Jungle but not a single treehouse." Sora then began his descent and landed in the middle of a clearing. "Alright, Mission start!" Sora then began running through the forest hoping to run into someone. Little did he know that he was being followed by a girl with a pink Parasol.
"Let's see, I know the rules say I partner with the first person I see but no harm in looking for Blake or the others." Sora said to himself.
GRRRR!
Sora heard the feral growl and summoned his Sleeping Lion. "Wow, just got here and you guys are already lining up." He said getting into his battle stance. As he did, three large Ursa Grimm came out of the bushes and roared at Sora. The girl with the parasol watched from the bushes as she saw Sora was surrounded by Ursa.
"Hmmm… he doesn't look like much and what's with that weapon of his? It looks like a fancy key with a lion head, who makes something like that?" The girl thought to herself as she continued watching the boy. "I guess I'll have to find out, I'll have to back him up because there is no way he can take on those Ursa's with just-"
"Lethal Frame!" The girl was brought out of her thoughts as she watched the boy vanish and after a few seconds he reappeared behind one of the Ursa. "Bye-Bye!" Three slash marks then appeared on the Ursa's chest and disintegrated after it let out a howl of pain. The girl couldn't believe what she had just seen, actually she saw nothing and that's what she couldn't believe.
"Wait… HOW! When did… He just… No one is that FAST! I'm not even that fast!"
Sora then turned his attention to the other two and smirked. "You're next!" Sora then dashed to both of the Ursa and Pointed his Keyblade at them.
"FREEZE!" A large Ice Ball fires from the tip of the blade and Knocks one of the Ursa's onto its back. Sora then jumped into the air and began spinning like a top while his blade was covered in both ice and fire. "Icebreaker!" Sora brought his blade down and sliced the Ursa in half leaving one side frozen and the other burned before disintegrating.
"Whoa! This guy is using some high quality Dust and he's combing it to make his strikes more powerful. Now I see why Matchstick was so interested in this kid, he definitely knows how to handle himself."
The final Ursa had gotten off of his back only for him to come face to face with a smiling Sora and his Keyblade was covered in multicolored light. "Light!" Sora and the Ursa were soon surrounded by three multicolored crystals that were spinning around them. "Later!" The Keyblade wielder then jumped out of the way of the three crystals that soon enclosed the Ursa and began ripping through its body. After a few seconds, the Ursa had taken too many hits for the crystals and began to disintegrate.
"And that's that!" Sora said before dismissing his Keyblade and stretching his arms to the sky. "That was a nice warm up." He said before taking notice a a certain girl staring at him with wide eyes.
"That was incredible, I've never seen something like that before, guess this will teach me not to judge a book by it's cover."
"Hey, you ok?" The girl jumped slightly and saw the boy waving at her. The girl blinked a few times and nodded before walking over to the boy. Sora looked over the girl for a few seconds and the girl did the same.
"He doesn't seem to be tired, all of that and he didn't even break a sweat." Sora then stretched his hand to the girl.
"I'm Sora, it's nice to meet ya. I guess we'll be partners for a while." The girl raised an eyebrow and slowly took the brunette's hand. Sora ended the handshake and put his hands behind his head. "I'm assuming you saw everything just now?" The girl nodded and Sora chuckled.
"Didn't mean to show off like that, sorry." He said. The girl didn't expect this, any normal person would be bragging about dusting three Ursa's at once but he didn't. "Guess we should get moving, Professor Ozpin said to head north to find the ruins. Shall we...uh… oh sorry, I didn't get your name." He said scratching the back of his head. The girl stared at the brunette for a few seconds before letting out a silent giggle.
"What a weird guy, but at least this mission won't be boring." The girl then presented her parasol to Sora and pointed at the handle. Sora took a closer look and saw the word 'Neopolitan' engraved on it.
"Neopolitan… That's a mouthful." He said with a chuckle. The girl pouted for a few seconds before putting her finger on the 'politan' part of her name.
"Neo?" The girl now known as Neo nodded her head and smiled at the Keyblade Wielder. "Alright then, Neo it is." she said with a thumbs up. Neo rolled her eyes at the boy and she pointed towards the forest.
"That way?" Sora asked. Neo Nodded and began walking. Sora watched the girl and shrugged his shoulders. "If you say so." Sora then followed after Neo, not noticing a small pool of Darkness forming behind them and yellow eyes peeking out of it.
A/N: Gotta make this a 2 parter lads and ladies, sorry! I hope you all enjoyed, all comments and criticisms are welcome. The initiation has finally started and Sora has already partnered up with the Ice Cream Queen. How will their partnership go, how will they get along and work together? Also, we already got some dark shadows lurking and it's not the the Grimm.
