When Liv and Elliot made their way to her apartment after eloping, he stopped her at the door when she went to unlock it. She stared at her new husband quizzically. "What are you doing?"

"Carrying my wife over the threshold," he answered as if it was obvious.

A jolt of excitement went through Liv and she smiled. "I'm your wife," she whispered in awe. But then she paused. "Aren't you too old for this? You're going to hurt yourself, El."

"I am not too old to do this." His back would probably protest afterwards but fuck it, he didn't care.

Liv sighed. "At least let me unlock the door first," she told him with a giggle. She did exactly that, opened the door so they wouldn't have any problems, and then laughed when he scooped her into his arms.

Elliot made it only a few feet before he had to set her down but it had been worth it. He pulled her in for a kiss. "Fuck, I love you, Liv."

"Get it right - Olivia Benson-Stabler," she corrected with a grin. "And I love you too, Elliot."

Kid-free since Eli and Noah were staying with Maureen, the newlyweds intended to celebrate their marriage as much as they could and fuck all over the apartment. Eloping had been a spur of the moment decision after Liv proposed (neither wanted to wait anymore after finally talking shit out and admitting their feelings for each other - dating seemed like a stupid idea since they already knew everything about each other, even after ten years of radio silence).

"We should call Cragen and Munch, tell them the good news," he mused.

"Later." She kissed him again and then grabbed something to eat from the fridge. After Liv finished her snack, she and Elliot called Cragen.

"Now what do I owe the pleasure of this call?" he questioned.

"Hey, Cap!" Elliot flashed a smile at Liv, and they both giggled.

"What are you two laughing about?" A suspicious Cragen anxiously awaited their response, eager to discover what they were hiding from him.

"Congratulate us, Sir."

"And what I am congratulating you about? You two finally pull your heads out of your asses and admit what everybody always knew?" Cragen pressed.

"We did that but we made it official," Elliot responded.

"He put a ring on it!" Liv was vibrating with excitement and couldn't hold it in any longer.

"As in, we eloped. Skipped dating and a long engagement - went down to City Hall with the kids and got married," Elliot explained.

Stunned silence for about forty five seconds before Cragen burst into laughter. "You never could do shit by half measures, could you? Holy shit. Congratulations. I look forward to celebrating with all of you whenever we can get together."

"Thank you, sir. We can't wait to see you either." The three of them chatted for about ten more minutes before hanging up. "I miss him," Liv murmured once the call ended.

"Me too. You want to blow Munch's mind next?" he suggested.

She nodded eagerly. "Fuck breaking the news for everybody right this second because I'd rather spend time with my husband first. We can tell everybody else in the morning." She hoped Amanda and Fin would beat them there first, though. Or one of the many Stabler kids, it didn't matter who.

Olivia and Elliot were married now, and they intended to make up for lost time - twenty years was long enough to wait. They would have burst if they had waited any longer (or the sexual tension would have finally killed them). They also couldn't wait to spend time with their family, and celebrate the love (and trauma) that had bonded them together all those years ago.
