I'm Leyrann, I'm from the Netherlands, and I - obviously - write and read fanfic. I tend to stay within the Harry Potter fandom, and I particularly like time travel fics and fics that do a lot of worldbuilding, while for writing I place high value on doing something that hasn't been done before. I also care a lot about the quality of writing in the fics that I read, so I can assure you that all fics in my favorites list (which, to be clear, I have also all read from start to finish) adhere to that standard. If you don't like them, it'll be for plot-related reasons.

QUICK UPDATE 17/04/2021: As I announced on my Discord server and Twitter, I currently have real life issues leaving me unable to write. I don't know when that will be over, but it might very well be a few more weeks or even months. Please do be patient, but know that I'm still alive and would absolutely love to write, I'm just unable to do so at the moment.

UPDATE 01/08/2021: I'm slowly getting back into writing right now, however I'm currently not going to force anything, as a result I haven't yet worked on anything that will be uploaded in the near future. I do expect to get back into that before too long, but I don't quite know when yet.

Idea fountain: I have ideas. Lots of them. Far more than I can ever write. If you're looking for inspiration, feel free to PM me, I keep a list with everything that pops up in my mind that I cannot write.

Future Plans: I figure I might as well start making use of this to announce what I'm planning. After I'm done writing what I'm currently writing, of course. WARNING: I always generate ideas faster than I write, so no promises about how much of this actually turns into stories.

General rules for all my fics:
-No crack (I wish I could write it, but my mind just doesn't work the right way).
-No bashing. Of anyone. Seriously, give those poor Weasleys a break.
-No slash. Femslash might happen, but not likely unless there is a story-related reason.
-Everything I write is either because I believe it unique or because I believe no one's ever written it properly. Of course, that comes with a respective "I haven't read all fanfics there are" and "your mileage may vary".
-The stories below have more or less been ordered in how likely I am to write them (next), from more likely to less likely.

The Potter Sisters: There are a number of twists that I would like to see applied in WBWL stories. However, as I don't want to potentially write four or so of them, they'd end up together in one story, namely this one. The first twist is that both twins are girls instead. The second, perhaps, is that the public GWL is also the actual GWL. Or perhaps she isn't. You're not getting confirmation either way. The third is that both the Potters and Dumbledore - while they have made mistakes - are truly well-meaning. The fourth is that the twins will be good friends despite their different Sortings. Reconciliation with the Potters is on the table, but I won't confirm either way. And last of all, this isn't a WBWL thing but still something I've never seen done well and it does require siblings, the twins will eventually form a (realistic) relationship. Currently, this story is up next to be written, but that won't actually happen until Riddle of the Ages is either finished, or my writing has reached a level of consistency where I can handle two stories at the same time.

The Return of Draco Malfoy: After Voldemort wins the Battle of Hogwarts, Draco Malfoy realizes that he fucked up. Badly. He finds a ritual that allows him to travel to the past, but it retro-actively changes him into a girl. He performs it anyway and joins up with Harry from the start, teaching him everything about Lordships and such that he needs to know. Has a complete, but very basic outline. The first few chapters will be an adaptation of what I have published as the old Recursion story. Eventual Harry/fem!Draco.

Sanity: Complete REWRITE of The Advantages of Being Sane. I am unhappy with several aspects of Advantages that are problematic in a way that cannot be fixed with anything less than a full rewrite. Most notable among these is the speed at which the relationship develops. The rewrite will keep the plot mostly the same, however it will smooth out these issues I have identified and hopefully make for a better story.

Insanity: Or, as I like to call it, dark!Advantages. This story pretty much uses a premise opposite to The Advantages of Being Sane. fem!Harry pledges her loyalty to (male) Voldemort at the graveyard when he is resurrected. From that point on, she acts as a mole among the light to guarantee Voldemort's victory, while something of a twisted romance blossoms between her and Voldemort. Will contain plenty of dark themes and smut, to the point where I'm questioning whether I should upload it if I do end up writing it.

Ginny's Diary: Ginny overcomes the Diary rather than succumbing to it, and absorbs 16-year-old Tom Riddle's knowledge in the process. Harry/Ginny. No outlining done, but the story will in large part stay close to canon until diverting in book 6. Likely to be a shorter story (akin to The Advantages of Being Sane, to give an idea of what I consider a shorter story) and I might even try to squeeze it in between other stuff at some point.

Recursion: Harry Potter is the only survivor of the Battle of Hogwarts. Among the ruins of the castle, he resolves to find a way to travel to the past and use his knowledge of the future to his advantage. And if that isn't enough... well, he has very special trick up his sleeve. Some outlining done in my head, clear idea of what I want to do. Also, in a way, a critique on most serious time travel fics. First chapter up, currently on hiatus. Finding it very hard to figure out how to continue this story, good chance I never will.

Masters of Death: Harry/Iris Potter is a Master of Death, meaning they live their life again and again, each time in a slightly different world (inspired by LeadVonE's "Warning: Past Soul Bind Performance Not Indicative of Future Prophets" (sheesh LVE what a title)). This time, however, there is a very peculiar difference that has never occured before: There are both a Harry and an Iris, and they are both Master of Death. First chapter written to get a feel for the story, no outline. Likely to be a more lighthearted story. No current plans. Likely to be scrapped entirely as I have several other ideas for stories that would fill the same niche in the stories I have interest in writing. Leaving it up here because none of them is more likely than any of the others and it already had an entry before I updated this page.

Bonds of Magic: Originally a smut fic, but has turned into a worldbuilding project of a world focused on sex. The story is built on two pillars, namely that all wizards are replaced by dickgirls and that sex is much more common. Contrary to most smut fics, these two aspects - as well as everything else - will be explained through worldbuilding in an attempt to make everything make sense. In addition, the story will contain a real (but heavily sexualized) plot that spans a number of years. If I ever upload it, it is unlikely that I will do so on ffnet, but I am adding the fic here for completeness. I occasionally work on this, but without any real regularity. Currently about three chapters of the actual story written, but with a lot more worldbuilding done.

The Manipulative Dumbledore Scale (established by the LeadVonE discord server, thanks in part to Gloweye, Lunatico, sfu and LeadVonE himself). Start at 0 points, add one point for every item on the list Dumbledore does. Feel free to share this list. Also called MAD Scale (Manipulative Albus Dumbledore Scale).

-Keeps Harry ignorant of his inheritance and the traditions of the wizarding world (may or may not include embezzling)
-Does canon things (putting Harry at Dursleys, designing the traps at the stone so Harry can get through, etc) with the goal to manipulate/harm Harry, rather than in good intentions
-Employs students as pawns (most commonly Weasleys)
-Uses loyalty potions, obliviations, compulsions, love potions, etc (includes lacing lemons drops (as long as it's not just a calming draught or something)
-Has at least one horcrux
-Has at least six horcruxes (stacks with the previous point)
-Binds Harry's magic or limits his power in another way
-Uses Voldemort to further his own ends
-Fakes or intentionally leaks the prophecy
-Frames innocent people so they end up in Azkaban (often Sirius or Harry)
