HOW'S IT GOING, MY ANIME FANS?! The 3rd dragneel has come to grace you with a new chapter, the introduction of the Dimension Gold Ranger! Man, we have come a long way from the first chapter, didn't we? Thank you for following me through this story since we're not even CLOSE to the halfway mark. Hell, I've also started planning out four sequel stories, which means a LOT more new rangers. But that's for the future.
I'm just glad that COVID is starting to die off. See, if we keep our cool, we can get through anything. Still, I hope everyone is still safe.
But enough of that. TO THE REVIEWS!
Omni warrior: Trust me, you'll like who the Gold Ranger is for this story. As for Uryu, he was also taken by Demolition when he invaded Karakura in the second chapter.
RHatch89: Thanks.
Shadowwolf1997: I think a lot of people will love the Gold Ranger. And it has been about a year since Vektor and Kaldon launched the Dimension Crystals and the group have been rangers for about 2-3 weeks.
Dragon Rider 66: I gave the Armor of Johton a lot of thought throughout the story, so having it appear was worth it. The original armor is lost, so they just need to modify the Morphers. Huh, that is an interesting idea in terms of Ichigo's new ability. Thanks for that! Hahaha, you're actually on point. I do love the Isis Megazord, hence why the Gunslinger Megazord is similar to it.
JTWAS1994: Next episode XD. But yeah, the next ranger will be introduced.
Zatil Hidayah Spensa: Wow, thanks. Since he is the Red Ranger, he needs to take more responsibility, hence why after his character focused chapter, he started to be more serious. Plus, he and Rias make a cute pairing in my opinion.
BanRedfox: This next villain will definitely give everyone a hard time.
Wolfman: I didn't think anyone would actually get attached to the message. Glad you were able to feel that. As for Kaisilious… you'll see.
That One Guy: Jesus lol. I'm glad you're a fan, my dude. I just do my best to make a good story while also having fun.
Guest: Of course there will be more rangers.
Zeon Chaotic: I do plan on Spike getting his own unique upgrade, though it's gonna be a lot different.
Bloodguy: Oh yeah. He made the Crystalizers opening and I loved it.
Messiah of authors: I'll do my best to update this.
To recap: The original five Rangers finally arrived at Povis, where they bore witness to the dead planet. In order to buy time, Spike, Vektor and even Wendy and Carla went to hold off the five bounty hunters. As they searched the barren wasteland, the team of rangers came across a hidden room, where a surviving Celestial, who was able to get them to the schematics they needed for their upgrade.

Finally, the six Rangers all pose before a large explosion erupts from behind them, with the logo of the story appearing.
'The Legacy, the next day'
"Fifty five… fifty six… fifty seven…" Natsu continued to sweat heavily as he pushed himself up.
"Fifty eight… fifty nine… sixty…" Ichigo gritted his teeth as he continued to push himself up as well. Once they reached sixty, both Rangers stood up, panting a bit from the exercise they just did while wiping away their sweat.
"HAAA!" Yang began punching at Spike as fast as she could, trying her best to strike him. However, Spike was able to dodge each other, occasionally countering them with a swift kick or two.
"Relax. Don't stress about not landing a hit. Be like water." Spike instructed Yang as he dodged yet another punch before he grabbed her arm and twisted it, causing her to fall on her back. However, before he could let her go, Yang wrapped her legs around Spike's and tripped him.
"What was that about being like water, Spikey?" Yang teased with a grin.
"Yeah, yeah." Spike and Yang let go of each other, standing up while dusting themselves off. "Smart thinking, though. I'm proud of you, kid."
"I'm seventeen, you know." Yang told him with a frown.
"To me, you're still a kid. Don't take it personally." Spike waved her off as he grabbed a green towel nearby, wiping his sweat away. "So, things are quiet now."
"That's because we haven't had an Oblivion attack in two days. He's been quiet." Ichigo told him with a frown. "Not that I don't like a break, but this is too quiet, even for him."
"Maybe he decided to rethink his evil plan. After all, we did kick ass with that armor." Yang couldn't help but boast, though she did deflate a bit. "That is if the morphers are fixed." Just as she said that, the doors to the training room opened up, with Yusei walking in. He seemed to be cleaning his greasy hands with a rag. "Well, well. If it isn't our resident genius."
"How's everything going, Yusei? Are the Morphers fixed?" Ichigo asked with a curious tone.
"It's not as easy as we thought." Yusei confessed with a frown. "Turns out the power of the Armor of Johton was too much for them. Me and Kaldon tried repairing them, but the wires were burned out. We're barely getting anything done."
"We need those morphers if we're going to keep fighting Oblivion." Rias commented with her arms crossed.
"Well, if push comes to shove, we can at least hold them." Natsu told him with a smile. "It isn't like this is anything new to us. Plus, it's good not to rely on the Ranger powers all the time."
"Easy for you to say. Me, orangey and Yusei don't have any special powers." Spike said with a frown.
"That is why you have each other. To defend one another from such weaknesses." Entering the training room was none other than Vektor, who gave them all a soft smile. "I understand all of you are concerned with the whole situation. However, we must continue to fight on, for the sake of the multiverse."
"Yeah. THAT won't give us any pressure." Spike said bluntly.
"We understand, Vektor. And we'll do everything we can to help." Rias replied with a sincere tone, making Vektor smile.
"Thank you, Rias. That makes me-"
However, just as Vektor was about to finish thanking her… his staff began to glow and his eyes widened in shock.
"Vektor?" Yusei asked in concern as everyone stared at their mentor in confusion.
"Hang on. His staff's glowing… just like with Spike." Ichigo realized as he looked at said person.
"Just like me? When the hell did I-" Spike stopped speaking as the gears in his head started to spin. He reached into his pocket and took out his Dimension Crystal, which seemed to start glowing as well. "Wait, you mean it happened when I got this thing?"
"That's right. Which means…" Yang suggested as she pointed at Vektor, who let out a gasp.
"I… sensed it." Vektor let out while catching his breath, something the rangers noticed. "Rangers, a Dimension Crystal has bonded with another."
"We can tell from the look on your face." Natsu said before he leaned in. "So, where are they?"
"Hmmmm…" Vektor closed his eyes, trying to concentrate on the Dimension Crystal. After a few moments, he opened his eyes. "Interesting. This Dimension Crystal is much farther from the ones you all have."
"Farther?" Rias asked with a raised brow.
"Yes. It's possible that the remaining four crystals were sent on another course far from the others." Vektor theorized with a hand under his chin. "Regardless, we must find this new wielder. Oblivion and his army might have already detected the Crystal and are en route to its wielder."
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get them!" Natsu declared with a big grin, with the others nodding in agreement.
'Apocalypse'
The crew of the Apocalypse were rather frantic as of late and for good reason.
Another of Oblivion's loyal and powerful generals would be rejoining them after a year of galactic exploration.
Crekors were doing their best to clean the interior of the ship in preparation while Oblivion and the rest of the generals were waiting.
"Sir, a ship is exiting Hyper Jump." Static informed Oblivion while examining his pad.
*BOOM*
A moment after he said this, a large boom echoed through space, followed by a ship that easily matched the shape of the Apocalypse, with a few notable differences: it had a dark brown color scheme, a slender bridge with several rows of yellow lights and a symbol in the shape of a black circle with several sharp lines on the edge was painted on the left side.
"Always one to make an entrance, isn't he, love?" Vila asked Oblivion, who held back the small chuckle he would have released. The new ship slowly began to dock next to the Apocalypse, a bridge slowly extending from the side, attaching to the Apocalypse. Demolition clenched his fist, Longshot straightened up, Kyra was narrowing her eyes, Vila was grasping Oblivion's arm.
And Oblivion… he had a look in his eye no one had seen in such a long time.
He looked… excited. Almost like he was looking forward to meeting the man known as Kaicilious. Soon, the bridge from the other ship connected to the Apocalypse, a large amount of air coming out of the edge of the doors.
Then… the doors opened up, followed by the sound of metal clanging on the floor. Everyone waited in anticipation for the new arrival.
However, the first ones to come into view were not what they were expecting.
Exiting the bridge were definitely Crekor robots, but they were different. They had a heavier build, with the same symbol as the ship, a V-shaped visor that was colored purple and large rifles in their arms.
However, those weren't the ones everyone was focused on.
Coming down the bridge with an air of superiority was a humanoid creature. They were clad in dark crimson armor, with sharp shoulder pads, a black patterned chestplate, three swords on their left hip(one hilt colored red, one black and one with what appeared to be a purple serpent), tight black pants, a pair of combat boots, and a a pure black helmet with three spikes on each side of their face, a red visor and a white mouthguard.
No one had said anything. They simply stared at one another, attempting to size the others up.
And then… the new visitor reached for their serpent-engraved sword and rushed towards Oblivion at impressive speed.
Oblivion was able to react in time as he blocked the sword with his left arm. Vila, Demolition and the other generals quickly jumped out of the way of the fight. With a growl, Oblivion pushed the attacker away, forcing them to land in front of their robot troops.
"Bite him, Vanpa!" The attacker shouted as the serpent engravement began to glow purple. They then whipped their sword towards Oblivion…. Which caused the very blade itself to change for. It soon became a serpent-like blade, opening its jaw and flying towards Oblivion. He raised his arm to block it, only for the serpent blade to latch onto his wrist.
'Of course he would do this.' Oblivion thought with an annoyed expression as he felt the blade 'bite' on his wrist. With a strong tug, Oblivion pulled his attacker high in the air, slamming them onto the ground. However, the attacker was able to react and landed on their feet, launching themselves towards Oblivion while extending their left hand.
"Dear!" Vila cried out in fear. The attacker got closer to Oblivion, ready to touch his chest. But just as they were about to touch him, Oblivion grabbed their wrist and with a twist of his body, threw the attacker onto the ground with enough force to bend the metal underneath. Pulling his fist back, Oblivion glared down at the attacker.
"Yield." Oblivion demand.
"Never." The attacker replied with a serious tone.
"Very well." With that, Oblivion slammed his fist down, causing the floor itself to shake. However, Oblivion's fist hit the floor, missing the attacker's head by a few inches.
"Hehehehehehehehe…" The attacker suddenly began to laugh.
"Hahahahahahahaha…" Surprisingly, Oblivion joined in the laughter. It wasn't longer until the two erupted into full blown laughter as Oblivion grabbed the attacker's hand, pulling him back on his feet. "It is good to have you back, Kaicilious."
The newly identified 'Kaicilious' grabbed their helmet and pressed a button, causing the mouthguard to open before he slid it off. Underneath the helmet was a rather handsome human-like face, with pure white skin, yellow silted eyes and chin length dark hair.
"An entire year, if I remember correctly. Then again, Static had kept me informed of your current mission." Kaicilous said before he put a hand on Oblivion's shoulder, giving him a smile. "Your skills haven't rusted."
"So have yours. Your sword has gotten better." Oblivion said as he raised his right wrist. "I almost felt Vanpa's fangs pierce my skin."
"I'm sorry she wasn't able to make you bleed. Next time, I'll try harder to kill you." Kaicilious jokingly said as he and Oblivion laughed again.
"Master." Demolition greeted Kaicilious while bowing his head.
"My student. It has been some time." Kaicilious replied before patting Demolition on the head. "I had heard that your sword was destroyed."
"Unfortunately, it was." Demolition admitted as he took out his broken sword, handing it to Kaicilious. Said person examined the broken sword.
"Hmmmm… I suppose it was destroyed by a worthy opponent?" Kaicilious asked Demolition while handing back his broken sword. Then, Kaicilious drew his black hilt sword, revealing its deep black blade. "Here. You may use this."
"Master, no. This is your sword. I cannot accept it." Demolition politely declined. He already felt discouraged when he broke his own sword, so being given a sword wielded by his master was something he couldn't do.
"A swordsman must wield a sword. Otherwise, all our time training would have been wasted." Kaicilious reached out and grabbed Demolition's hand, forcing him to take his sword. "Think of this as a reunion gift, Cadman. I have faith you will put this to good use. Although… tell me who broke your sword."
"It was the Black Ranger. But please, allow me to defeat him." Demolition begged, not wanting to be a disappointment to his master.
"Very well. But, if I find him…" With the blink of an eye, Demolition found Kaicilious' sword pointed at his throat, making him tense up. "I will kill him, whether you agree or disagree. Understood?"
"O-Of course." Demolition stuttered, feeling a bead of sweat run down his head from inside his helmet. Seemingly satisfied by this response, Kaicilious spun his sword before putting it back in its sheath.
"Hello, Kaicilious." Vila spoke up, making Kaicilious smile as he turned to her.
"Ahh, Vila. You are as radiant as ever." Kaicilious greeted her with a suave tone as he took her hand, placing a soft kiss on it. "Of everyone here, seeing you has lifted my spirits the most. Like I could challenge the galaxy."
"Well, your flirting certainly hasn't changed." Vila said with a giggle as she pulled her hand away.
"Good to have some more firepower here." Longshot told Kaicilious while firmly shaking his hand.
"Longshot. Always a pleasure. And I take it you are Kyra?" Kaicilious asked the whip user, who also shook her hand.
"I am. And I have heard much about you. It is an honor." Kyra greeted with a professional tone.
"Sir, I must ask: did you modify my Crekor units?" Static asked Kaicilious while examining the new robots curiously.
"I hope that isn't an issue. Recently, my army and I explored the planet Androl, which has some rather impressive engineers. After I…. persuaded some of them to come with me, I put them to work, improving on your original design." Kaicilious gestured to the robots. "I call these particular models "Ravagers" due to their success rate of 98%. The remaining 2% were due to the first versions who failed." Static went over and examined one of the Ravagers, admiring its unique design.
"Fascinating. Do you have the engineers on your ship? I would greatly appreciate note comparisons." Static asked politely.
"Of course. In fact, I have something to give you, Oblivion." Kaicilious told his old friend, catching his attention. He snapped his fingers, causing the Ravagers to perk up. Two of them marched over to the bridge of the other ship, much to the confusion of Oblivion and his generals. A few moments later, the Ravagers returned, wheeling what appeared to be a motorcycle in front of everyone. "The vehicles you sent us have finally been completed. All they require are drivers. Also…" Much to Oblivion and the general's surprise, the Ravagers brought in three large glass capsules… which had the remaining three members of the Bebop Crew. Each of them were in stasis.
"Humans? Why would you bring them here?" Vila couldn't help but ask.
"Wait…" Static walked over to the crew, analysing them. "I recognize these humans from the recording in our Crekors during their assault on the Green Ranger's ship. Apparently, they are in league with him."
"Where did you find them?" Longshot asked curiously.
"One of my hunting drones found their escape pod and brought them to me. I believe they will be useful, wouldn't you agree?" Kaicilious asked Oblivion, who nodded in agreement.
"Good. With you and your army, our mission to retrieve the Dimension Crystals will be successful." Oblivion said before he grabbed his head.
"I see the tumor hasn't lessened since we last met." Kaicilious commented with a deep frown as Vila grabbed her beloved's arm.
"Static, the medicine." Oblivion ordered with a groan.
"Sir, our supply is currently low. We will need a resupply soon or else…" Static didn't finish his sentence, but everyone knew what he meant.
"If you would like, you could rest on the Devastation. We have a medical facility that can monitor your tumor." Kaicilious suggested.
"Sir, I suggest accepting this offer. If we cannot monitor your health properly, then the consequences may be severe." Static reasoned logically. As much as Oblivion wanted to argue, his headaches were getting worse and if he wasn't held down… he could hurt everyone. And the last thing he wanted to do was harm Vila and Cadman.
"... Alright." Oblivion finally said while rubbing his head.
"Good. Please, make yourself comfortable inside. I will get my medical droids prepared. And if you would like, Cadman and Vila could join you." Kaicilious offered his friend.
"Thank you, Kaicilious. You are a good friend. And while I'm gone, you will be in charge of the Apocalypse." Oblivion informed his old friend, who smiled gratefully.
"I will do everything I can to complete the mission for you. Go rest." Giving his friend a nod, Oblivion went to the Devastation, with Vila and Demolition following suit. Once they were out of sight, Kaicilious put on his helmet, facing the remaining generals. "I need a full inventory report and a count of everyone Crekor on this ship. We WILL gather the Dimension Crystals from these new Power Rangers. By force if necessary."
"Yes sir." Static, Longshot and Kyra all said in unison, earning a hidden smile from Kaicilious.
Things were going to be fun for him.
'The Legacy, sometimes later'
A familiar, colored portal appeared inside space, with the Legacy flying out of it. The ship from Povis flew calmly forward, towards a planet that looked very similar to Earth.
"We've arrived, Ni-Ni." Kaldon informed everyone on the ship, his attention on the new planet.
"Huh. It doesn't look any different from Earth." Ichigo commented as he and the others looked over the planet.
"No… look at the way some of the continents are structured." Rias told him while pointing to the continents. Like she said, they were positioned much more differently than the known continents back on their worlds.
"That's correct. While this planet is technically Earth, it is set much differently than what you know." Vektor explained before he turned towards the nearest monitor. "Neo, will you please scan for any satellites or signals we can use in order to learn more from this planet?"
"Scanning now." Neo told him as a loading screen appeared on the monitor.
"So, you really think another crystal's down there?" Spike couldn't help but ask.
"Should be. After all, the same thing happened when we found you." Yang replied while standing next to the bounty hunter. "Who knows? Maybe we'll find a smaller Spike to come with us. What do you say?"
"Funny." Spike bluntly told her, making her laugh.
"Results not found." Neo finally answered, catching everyone's attention.
"No results? What does that mean, Neo?" Yusei asked the A.I with a frown.
"I cannot find any satellites in orbit. In fact, this planet has none." Neo answered as a frowny face emoji appeared on screen.
"Hmmm, then it's possible this planet's technology is more primitive than the ones we have been to, apart from Natsu's world." Vektor rubbed his chin in thought before he looked at the Rangers. "Still, we need to find the new crystal before Oblivion's forces do."
"But Vektor, the Morphers are still in the repair phase, Ni-Ni. If the team goes down there, then they'll be at a disadvantage against whatever Oblivion has, Ni-Ni." Kaldon explained with a worried tone.
"I can stay here on the ship and help Kaldon with the repairs while the rest of you go down there. As soon as they're fixed, I'll come down and give them to you." Yusei offered.
"Very well. Then I will go with everyone else. It may be the perfect opportunity to explore this new world." Vektor said with a smile. Truth be told, being stuck on the Legacy 24/7 was a bit of a hassle, so going around with the Rangers sounded like fun.
"Okay, then it's settled. Let's go down and find that crystal!" Natsu declared with a fist raised high, with the others copying him.
'Central City, Amestris'
Things in the country of Amestris have been very peaceful for the past few months. Since the Homunculi and Father's attack, the country had worked hard to repair itself, both physically and spiritually.
It was only thanks to the brave men and women of both the Amestrian military, the Briggs troops and several alchemists that the country, even the whole world, was spared from Father's plans.
Today was just another peaceful day for the people of Central.
"Do you think that's everything, brother?" A young man with blonde hair and matching colored eyes asked with a smile, carrying several paper bags. He wore a simple brown shirt, tan pants and black shoes.
"I think so… let me check the list." Walking next to the young man was another male who looked to be slightly older than the other one. He too had blonde hair and golden eyes, though his hair was tied in a ponytail. He wore a white button down shirt under a black vest, dark leather pants and black shoes with red on the bottom. The ponytail male looked at a folded piece of paper he was holding before nodding. "Yup. That's it. We're good, Al."
"Good. I was worried we might have forgotten something." The teen named Al said with a relieved tone.
"No kidding. Imagine how Winry would feel." The other blonde male asked, with the two shuddering in fear.
Overall, the day was going well for Edward and Alphonse Elric. They had just finished the necessary shopping for their childhood friend, with a few things for Granny. It was good to return to Central when it wasn't a battlefield or controlled by an evil bastard. Although they were raised in the countryside, there was just something about the big city that felt right.
"By the way brother, how's your arm?" Al asked Edward, looking at his right arm.
"Still getting used to it a little. But overall, it's fine." Edward replied while lifting his right arm a bit, carefully not letting go of his bag. After all these years, getting his real arm back after the hell that was their human transmutation was a blessing for Edward. Still… getting it back at the cost of his brother's soul didn't seem that good for him. But regardless, everything was alright. "What about you?"
"Oh, I'm fine." Al answered almost cheerfully, though this got a raised brow from his brother. Noticing this, Alphonse dropped his smile a bit. "I finally stopped having those nightmares and my stomach's stopped acting up. Still…"
"I get it." Edward cut off his brother before he could continue. Having your body back after years of being stuck in a suit of armor wasn't something one could bounce back from. Then again, not many people were as patient or kind like Alphonse. "You know, we could stop by the Hughes' house. I'm sure Mrs. Hughes wouldn't mind."
"Yeah. And we can see how Elicia's doing." Al replied, his smile growing back at the thought of the young girl.
"Alright. Let's go." With a grin, Edward and Alphonse turned the corner, heading towards the Hughes' residence.
However, the brothers failed to notice a small flash of light appear in one of the alleyways nearby.
"Okay. We've successfully arrived." Vektor spoke up as he and the Rangers stood up.
"Huh. This place is a lot more old fashioned than we thought." Ichigo spoke up as he and Yang peeked out to see the area. Truth be told, it looked like a city in the 1900s, especially with the old cars and fashion sense.
"Yeah. Honestly, it reminds me a bit of Remnant." Yang confessed, though there was a bit of sadness in her voice. Something Ichigo caught.
"Hey, you okay?" Ichigo asked, snapping Yang out of her mild depression as she smirked at him.
"I'm fine. Thanks." She responded, getting a nod from Ichigo.
"Vektor, do you know where we can find the crystal?" Rias asked the Celestial.
"Hmmm… it is difficult. But we are in the radius of the crystal." Vektor explained before he tapped his staff on the ground, causing him to glow. A moment later, Vektor changed into a light skinned human with short brown hair, a simple mustache, and a black suit with a cane in hand. "This will help me blend with the humans."
"Well damn. That's pretty handy." Spike admitted, impressed by Vektor's magic. Honestly, he would have preferred to learn more about it… if he had the motivation to do so.
"We should split up to cover more ground." Natsu instructed everyone. "I'll go with Spike to the left. Ichigo and Vektor should go right and Yang and Rias should go straight. We should meet back here in an hour."
"That sounds like the best course of action." Vektor admitted before he reached into his pocket and pulled out six silver oval-shaped earpieces. "Each of you should take one. These communicators will help to keep connected until your morphers are fixed."
"Right." The five rangers took an earpiece before splitting up in their respective teams, ready to search for the new crystal holder.
'With Natsu and Spike'
"You know, we probably should've asked Vektor to use his magic to change your hair." Spike bluntly told Natsu as the two walked through the streets of Central… trying their best to ignore the looks from everyone. Then again, it probably wasn't common for a guy with spiky pink hair to walk around.
"Hey, this is my natural hair color. I don't know what their problem is." Natsu replied while running a hand through his hair.
"Riiiiiight." Spike decided not to argue with Natsu since it felt like an endless battle. Reaching into his pocket, Spike took out a packet of cigarettes and a lighter. He noticed Natsu prepare to extend his finger towards the cigarette, only for the bounty hunter to stop him. "Probably not the best idea to use your fire."
"Good point." Natsu lowered his hand down before he started sniffing the air. "Hmmm… the air smells pretty bad."
"Probably cause of all the damn factories." Spike said out loud as he lit his cigarette, sucking in the smoke before blowing it out. "I'm guessing you can't smell the crystal?"
"No. Honestly, it's hard to get the exact smell." Natsu pointed at his nose. "I tried smelling the crystals, but they all have a different smell for some reason. So unless I can smell the new crystal, I won't be able to find it." Spike was slightly annoyed by this, but he didn't say anything. At least for the time being, they could just enjoy being normal for once.
"March! March!" The two stopped once they heard a loud voice repeat the word "March" on the other side of the street. Curious, the two rangers went over to see what was going on.
To their surprise, there seemed to be a march going on in the streets, with soldiers walking through in several different rows, accompanying tanks and cars driving slowly.
"The hell's going on? Some kind of festival?" Spike asked out loud. It seemed his question would be answered as one of the citizens turned to him.
"Didn't you know? This is a parade to honor those who died during the big battle five months ago." The citizen explained before he looked back at the parade.
"Big battle? Wonder what that's all about." Natsu asked with a confused tone before he and Spike continued their patrol.
'With Rias and Yang'
"Well, well. Hello, beautiful."
"I love your hair."
"Do you have a boyfriend by any chance?"
It wasn't any easier for the female rangers as they continued down their street. Every few minutes or so, they would be hit on by someone, mostly older men. And occasionally, those men would be struck by their girlfriends, which would earn a snicker from Yang.
"So, does anyone catch your eye, red?" Yang asked her friend, nudging her side.
"Unfortunately, no. I'm not looking for a relationship." Rias told her. 'At least not now.'
"I hear you. Still, there are a lot of cuties around." Yang said as she gave a flirty wave towards the men watching her. "Think Vektor will let us stay here for another day if we find the crystal first?"
"I don't think we should focus on a vacation just yet." Rias told Yang with a frown.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm just kidding." Yang waved her frown off. "You hungry? We could get lunch."
"With what money?" Rias questioned, making Yang stop.
"Oh… crap." Yang mentally facepalmed at the realization of their money situation. It wasn't like they were gonna accept Lien or even Rias' Yen. "Damn. And I was hoping to try out some grub."
"Maybe next time. When we AREN'T on a mission." Rias told her, unable to suppress the giggle coming out of her mouth.
'With Ichigo and Vektor'
And for the last team of two, they seemed to be getting the least amount of attention… though that didn't stop the citizens of Central from giving them odd looks. Most of the attention was focused on Ichigo's orange hair.
"Who colors their hair orange?"
"He must be a delinquent."
"At least it isn't anything ridiculous like green."
"It seems you've caught everyone's eye." Vektor commented with a small smile on his face.
"Nothing I'm not used to. Still a pain in the ass." Ichigo whispered with his usual scowl, aiming it towards those looking at him. "Seriously, is it so weird to have orange hair?"
"I can't necessarily say it isn't unusual. In fact, I think it makes you unique." Vektor said with a reassuring tone. "Yes, not everyone may have the same qualities, but what's important is the person. I'm sure you've heard these words before."
"A few times… from my mom." Ichigo replied. Vektor noticed the slight change in his tone and frowned slightly. "Anyways, I hope we're going in the right direction. It isn't a good idea to get lost here."
"Yes. I believe it is. However, it will be difficult to see where or who is in possession of it." Vektor confessed.
"Yusei and Kaldon better get the morphers fixed soon. Otherwise, we won't be able to fight off Oblivion's Crekors." Ichigo added as he shoved a hand in his pocket.
*Beep, Beep*
Both Ichigo and Vektor stopped once they heard the sound of a beeping device coming from their pockets. The two quickly made their way to the side and put their earpieces in their ears, turning them on.
"Kaldon, is there an issue?" Vektor asked.
"THIS IS BAD, VEKTOR, NI-NI! REALLY, REALLY BAD, NI-NI!" Kaldon shouted from the other side of the call, making Ichigo and Vektor flinch.
"Maybe try NOT blowing out our eardrums." Ichigo told the robot bluntly.
"He's right. You're all in danger!" This time, it was Neo who spoke and from the tone of his voice, he was concerned.
"Is it Oblivion?" Vektor questioned in a serious tone.
"Yes. We detected a group of Crekors moving in. But… they're moving pretty fast." Neo explained, much to Ichigo and Vektor's confusion.
"The hell is that supposed to mean?" Ichigo asked with narrowed eyes.
*BOOM*
The former Soul Reaper was given an answer when an explosion erupted in the distance. Those nearby stopped what they were doing and looked at the rising smoke in confusion and concern.
"Ichigo… do you hear that?" Vektor asked the orange haired teen while pointing at his ear.
"What?" Ichigo questioned while giving his mentor a look.
*Rumble*
Ichigo then started to hear something in the distance. "Hang on. I think I heard it. It sounds like… a motorcycle?" Ichigo spoke up while cupping his left ear.
*BOOM*
Like before, another explosion erupted from the direction of the motorcycle sound. A large dust cloud could be seen from the end of the street. Ichigo and Vektor squint their eyes in order to see what was coming.
Driving through the streets of Central was a squad of about twenty Crekors, who seemed to be driving a modified Duel Runner. It was coated in black, with four long spikes on the front, twin red lights and the same symbol that was on Kaicilious' ship. And driving in the front of it all was none other than Longshot.
"THE REVOLUTION HAS BEGUN, HUMANS!" He shouted before aiming his gauntlet at one of the buildings, firing a red Dust bullet that caused yet another explosion. The citizens then started to run away from the interstellar attackers.
"Son of a bitch. They can drive now?!" Ichigo yelled in shock. He never expected the Crekors to actually have the ability to drive motorcycles.
"Oh no… Ichigo, those are the Duel Runners Oblivion's forces stolen from Yusei's home world." Vektor realized in surprise before Ichigo tackled him to the ground, narrowly dodging a series of energy shots from the Crekors. "Thank you."
"We need to tell the others." Ichigo quickly pressed his earpiece in order to contact the others.
*WHOOSH*
"GUAH!" Ichigo yelped when something fast and silver flew towards him, cutting his left hand.
"I'm afraid I can't allow you to do this." Ichigo and Vektor looked up, seeing a lone figure standing on the top of a building. Pulling the silver object back to them was none other than Kaicilious, who looked down at the two. "Especially if it causes us trouble… Black Dimension Ranger."
"It can't be… Kaicilious?" Vektor whispered with a shocked tone.
"You know him?" Ichigo asked while holding his wound.
"Even when you're disguised, I could never forget your voice, Vektor." Kaicilious called out before he casually jumped off the building, landing on his feet with enough force to crack the ground. He stood up and smirked under his helmet. "I was hoping to find you before Oblivion did, but I had other matters to attend to."
"I take it you're with Oblivion?" Ichigo questioned with a glare.
"My, you are a smart one, aren't you?" Kaicilious commented with heavy sarcasm. "But to answer your question, yes. Oblivion and I are… close friends, if you will. And since he could not oversee this assault, I shall take command." Kaicilious then started to draw his purple hilted sword, aiming it at Ichigo. "Now morph. I would prefer to fight a Power Ranger than a simple human."
"Sorry to disappoint you, but that's not happening." Ichigo answered as he reached towards a lone brick.
"Hmmm… that's disappointing… but not unexpected." Kaicilious sighed in disappointment. "Regardless, you'll be coming with me. You and Vektor can prove to be useful."
"Yeah… NO!" Ichigo then threw the brick towards Kaicilious. With a sigh, Kaicilious swung his sword, shattering the brick with ease. However, once he looked up, Kaicilious' disappointment grew when he saw Ichigo and Vektor running away.
"Longshot, continue to bring havoc to this city. I shall chase Vektor." Kaicilious said to his communicator.
"Understood. Have fun." Longshot replied before Kaicilious began to walk towards Ichigo and Vektor.
'With the Elric Brothers'
The citizens continued to run for their lives as more and more of the Crekors riders attacked the city. No matter how hard the military tried to fight back, the metal bodies would simply be too strong for their bullets.
"Keep running, sweetie! Don't look back!" One citizen told her child as the two ran as fast as they could.
"Mama, what's happening?" The child, not much older than nine, asked as she tried her best to keep up with her mother. However, she accidentally tripped over a lone rock, causing her to fall flat on her face. The child then started to cry as she held her nose. Hearing her child's cry, the mother turned back and ran to help her up, only to scream as several lasers were shot around them. Two Crekor riders were driving towards the mother and child, preparing to shoot once again.
*Clap*
The sound of someone clapping rang through the air. A moment later, two long stone pillars rose from the ground, shooting towards the Crekors. Seeing this, the robots attempted to blast through the pillars, though due to their density, their efforts were in vain. Soon, both Crekors were hit by the pillars, causing them to fly in the air and crash hard on the ground, their vehicles exploding.
However, one of the Crekors seemed to have survived as it stood up, looking towards the mother and aiming its cannon at her.
*BANG*
Before it could shoot her, a metal bat struck the back of the Crekor's head, causing it to fall on the ground. The attacker clenched their bat before smashing it the Crekor's head several more times, cracking through its head before it stopped moving.
"Damn. He has a much harder head than I thought." The attacker was none other than Edward Elric, who puts his bat on his shoulder while looking down at the Crekor.
"Are you two alright?" Alphonse ran up to the mother and daughter, helping them stand up.
"Yes. T-Thank you." The mother told them genuinely while trying to hold back her tears.
"You should try going south. There should be an evacuation zone for everyone." Edward told them while giving them a look.
"Wait… you're the Fullmetal Alchemist!" The mother shouted, eyes wide.
"Former alchemist." Edward corrected her with a smile.
"Please, get to safety." Alphonse urged them, snapping the mother out of her shock.
"Okay. Thank you again!" The mother picked up her daughter and began to run.
"Bye!" The daughter looked over her mother's shoulder and waved the brothers goodbye, earning a smile from them.
"Brother, did you notice? They aren't human." Alphonse told his brother in a serious tone as he kneeled down to inspect the Crekor. There were small sparks of electricity coming out of it every few moments, though it didn't seem to stand.
"It's a machine? Who made something like this?" Edward asked as he kneeled down and lifted the Crekor's arm, examining it. "Pretty sure whoever made this thing would give Winry a run for her money."
"We should keep moving. There might be other people who need help." Alphonse reminded his brother, getting a nod from him.
"Right. Let's ge-GET DOWN!" Edward quickly ran to Alphonse and tackled him to the ground just as a red Dust bullet was shot at them, hitting the wall with enough force to cause an explosion. The brothers flinched as chunks of rubble bounced off their bodies, though they were left virtually unharmed.
"Damn. I thought I had you." Longshot called out while stepping off his motorcycle, lowering his extended right arm.
"Who or what the hell are you? And why are you attacking Central?!" Edward demanded with a glare as he and Alphonse stood up.
"Oh sure. I'll explain our ENTIRE plan to one powerless human." Longshot said with heavy sarcasm before he aimed his gauntlets at them. Alphonse quickly clapped his hands together and slammed them on the ground just as Longshot fired several more shots at them. Luckily for them, Alphonse was a bit faster as he was able to create a stone wall, shielding both him and his brother.
"Brother, run!" Alphonse yelled at his brother urgently.
"I'm not letting you fight this monster alone, Al!" Edward shot back, only to flinch as Longshot continued to shoot the wall, breaking it down bit by bit.
"Don't be an idiot! You don't have alchemy and this… thing, has guns!" Alphonse reasoned before half of the wall broke.
"Forget this!" Longshot turned to his motorcycle and picked it up with ease, tossing it towards Alphonse's wall. The vehicle struck the wall, causing it to shatter and fall apart. Another clap could be heard from the dust and a moment later, a spear was thrown towards Longshot. "Pathetic!" Longshot swung his arm, striking the spear so hard, it snapped in half. However, this momentary distraction was all Alphonse needed as he once again clapped his hands and slammed them on the ground, creating several more long pillars towards Longshot. Tensing his body, Longshot took the pillars in full force, pushing him back. "Okay. This might actually be a challenge then!"
"You got that right!" Longshot based as several green energy shots struck his left side, making him stumble a bit. Alphonse and Edward looked up in shock as Spike, who had morphed into his green outfit, ran past them, leaping in the air before slamming his foot on Longshot's faceplate.
"You?!" Longshot exclaimed before a flaming fist hit the back of his head, courtesy of Natsu.
"Got you! Fire Dragon Talon!" Natsu grabbed Longshot's arm before using it to balance himself for an axe kick to his head. The dragon slayer landed next to Spike, the two getting in fighting stances. However, Natsu looked over his shoulder and looked at the bewildered Elrics. "You two okay?"
"I… I… thank you." Alphonse thanked the two of them as he and Edward stood up. "Who are you?"
"Just some heroes coming to save your asses. Now get going." Spike urged them, not taking his eyes off Longshot as he stood up.
"Two on one? Not exactly unfair considering how strong I am. But…" Longshot emptied his gauntlets, taking out a belt of ammo and inserting them inside, fully reloading his weapons. "It still pisses me off!" With that, Longshot began to fire on the four in full force. The four quickly ran to the side in order to dodge Longshot's assault.
"Fire Dragon Roar!" Natsu opened his mouth and unleashed a stream of flames towards Longshot, striking him whole.
"Your flames are as hot as ever, Red Ranger. But I've improved." Longshot called out from within the flames before Natsu ceased with his attack, revealing Longshot's unscaved body. "My armor got a little tinker from Static, so now your flames won't do that much damage."
"Then what about this?" Spike pulled the slide on his Wolf Blaster two times before firing a much stronger shot at Longshot, hitting him on the head and making him stagger. However, the sniper of Oblivion's forces regained his balance and aimed his gun at his opponent's feet.
"Gravity!" Longshout announced before he fired a purple Dust bullet towards Spike's feet, making the four step back.
*Boom*
However, when the bullet struck, instead of simply making a hole in the ground, the Dust bullet created a small field, causing the two rangers and brothers to float in the air.
"W-What the hell?!" Edward shouted in pure shock, moving upside down as he struggled to land on the ground.
"Son of a bitch, he has gravity bullets!" Spike yelled in irritation as he tried to aim his blaster at Longshot.
"And try this Dust!" Longshot changed his bullet and fired another shot, this one being yellow. Once the bullet struck Spike, a large surge of electricity struck Spike and the others, causing them to fly back and hit the ground.
"Dammit…" Natsu pushed himself up, though he wasn't as affected by the lightning as the others were.
But as he pushed himself up… Natsu noticed something on the ground, and it was not a piece of rubble.
It was… a crystal. The same shape as their dimension crystals, though this one was colored gold.
"The gold crystal?" Natsu muttered with wide eyes. Never did he think he would actually find the gold crystal out on the street.
"What was that, pinky?" Spike groaned while sitting up, holding his chest in pain. Once he looked over to Natsu, Spike focused his vision on where the red ranger was looking and widened his eyes. "Son of a bitch."
"You know about this thing?" A hand reached out and picked up the crystal.
That person… was Edward Elric.
Boom. Cliffhanger. Again. I must really hate you guys, huh?
No, but in all seriousness, I think this is the best place to stop for the chapter. I know you might be annoyed, but this is how certain stories are.
Yeah, I will admit that some of the chapter might feel rushed, but I did the best I could with what little free time I have. Still, we are now officially introduced to the secondary antagonist of the story: Kaicilious. I will say that while he and Oblivion respect each other… there is more to him than meets the eye. And before anyone asks, his Vanpa sword is not a reference to Renji's Zabimaru. His full power has not been shown, so watch out for it.
The golden ranger arc will last 2 more chapters, just like the green ranger arc. I hope I can make it as enjoyable as possible.
Just to be clear, Alphonse CAN still use Alchemy without a circle. It was confirmed. Edward still cannot and this takes place a few months after the fight with Father.
