Thor arrives at Stark Tower in the middle of the battle against the Chitauri to stop his brother and this time, he realizes that Loki is being mind-controlled and he gives it his everything to shake him out of it. But neither of them is prepared for what happens when Loki wakes.

All his life, Loki has pushed himself to prove that he was his brother's equal. Until he realizes that he is not and does not have to be. Thor is an Aesir, born of two powerful gods. Alright, I have decided to share a few scenes, which I have written for my main fic but then discarded for various reasons. Some of them are mere scraps of conversation, which I find too funny not to share, some are entirely written and edited 3k word scenarios that never made it into the final version because I changed my mind. I hope you enjoy!

A guard approaches Loki's cell in the dungeons and, at first, he thinks nothing of it because the guards pass his cell three times every day in order to report to the Allfather how his wayward adoptive son fares. But this time, something is different.

Frigga is dead. Odin is in exile. Thor leaves Asgard to live among the mortals. And Loki realizes that he is entirely alone. Plagued by dreams of his mother's passing, he walks into the vault one day to ask the Tesseract how she died.

"I could have done it," cries Loki, still hopeful, but then his world shatters when his father tells him no. And then Thor's word shatters when he watches him fall into the abyss. And then Frigga's world shatters too when she finds out what happened. [A tiny little one-shot that fills in the blanks towards the end of the first Thor movie.]

The Bifrost is repaired. The peace across the Realms is re-established. All of Asgard revels. Well, almost all of Asgard. Thor, Son of Odin, still mourns for his brother and one day, he defies his father's orders and visits Loki in the dungeons with the encouragement of his mother and Lady Sif. [Formerly titled: I merely wished to see you]

Loki stands in the weapon's vault, his fingers curling around the Casket of Ancient Winters. He feels its coldness brushing against his fingertips and knows that it holds all the answers he has sought out for so long. He knows too that his life will never be the same. Then he hears footsteps behind him but this time, it is Frigga and not Odin who has followed him into the vault.

After Thor finds out that Loki is adopted and suffers from some kind of dissociative identity disorder, things escalate very quickly in the house of Odin. Following a devastating incident, Thor agrees to drive Loki 250 miles through the desert to a treatment center along with his friends Tony Stark and Steve Rogers. [Avengers AU, referring to adapted events of the first Thor movie]

When Odin comes home from the war against Jotunheim with Laufey's son, Frigga is shocked at first but she still vows to herself that she will do everything in her power to make Loki feel loved. ((This is a one-shot fic that was inspired by a speculative tweet, Emily's Song by The Moody Blues and my dear friend Cyra, who loves Frigga more dearly than anyone I know.))

When Tauriel points an arrow at his father on the battleground of Dale, Legolas' loyalty toward both of them is put to the test. What will he do? Who will he keep faith with and what impact will his decision have? ... This is basically me playing around with the events that occurred in the final Hobbit movie and how it could have been a little different.

When Thranduil arrives in Dale and fights in the battle of the five armies, he is confronted with his own hitherto deeply buried emotions.
