In the Owl House, Luz was looking into the travel book, seeing different kinds of monsters and artifacts recorded inside. along with the many different kind of tragic tales from many different knights and crusaders alike.

"I'm telling you, King. This whole book is full of amazing deeds of many great warriors." Luz said as she read through the book. "Sure, none of them have really lived long enough to see glory, but it's still amazing and..."

Then she sees the little demon fighting with a ducky sock on his noes.

"And you're fighting with a sock." She said, finding this amusing.

King then tears the sock to pieces and stomps on it remains, yelling "Where are you now, ducky sock?!"

"King." Luz said, getting the demon's attention. "Would you please pay attention to what I'm telling you? This stuff is important."

"So is what I brought you here for! You've been obsessed with your family history, that you've yet to know anything about my kind. Prepare for..." Then King rips of a curtain to reveal a chalkboard with pictures of various demons and creature of boiling owls. He then puts on a professors cap and spins the cord on top of it. "Demons 101. Demons like me are grim tricksters of the twilight, creatures of sulfur and bone."

"And cute little paws." Luz teased.

"And cut little paws..." King repeated, reluctantly. "We live only to create chaos and misery. Our only weaknesses are purified water and passive‐aggressive comments. Sometimes."

"Well, if there's one thing my family's good at, it's splashing and burning monster with just flasks of Holy Water...sometimes, even summoning rain."

"Enough about you family for one day, and pay attention!" King snapped, much to Luz's dismay. "This information might save your life."

"Right." Luz said. "But who needs to know a demon inside out and when I can already do magic that my ancestors have done for years? Like...Hydro Storm!"

The moment she said that, thunder rumbled and lightning had crashed outside. Surprised by this, but Luz and King looked outside the door to see that a storm was in fact brewing.

"Looks like it's gonna rain." King said.

"Yep...Say, since around the realm are never as they appear, is there I should know about the weather here?"

"Well technically, we don't have weather. We have plagues." King explained. "This one in particular is-"

"Boiling Rain!" Eda yelled out, running towards her house. What she was saying was in fact true; the rain was so hot that all plant life near the house was withering up at the touch of the steaming droplets. "Everybody inside now!" She said as she grabbed Luz and King and practically threw them all inside.

"Whew, that was close. Good thing you didn't get hurt."

Luz found herself in an odd, yet painful position as she was thrown against King's chalkboard.

"Sure" She groaned as things fell on her head. "Speak for yourself."

Everyone in town was running to seek shelter from the Boiling Rain, making sure to keep take their precious belongings with them. Just look at Willow.

"Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!" She said as she gathers up her plants while getting hit by rain drops and is forced to pull the drapes down with her teeth. Even that Tiny Nose girl could barely seek shelter anywhere before she crawled into a crack in the side of a building, kicking out a rat in the process.

Back to the main characters, Luz and King watched as Eda was working on a forcefield.

"So...King was kidding when he said you guys have plagues." Luz commented."

"Yep. Plagues." Eda listed out. "Gorenados, shale hail, painbows."

"It's like a rainbow, but looking at it turns you inside out." King explained, making Luz cringe.

Then Eda said "So, until the Boiling Rain stops, no one is allowed outside tonight."

"And is if the rain doesn't get you, the SnaggleBack will!" King says while opening a book and showing Luz a picture of the demon. "The wander the rain, feeding on boiled tourists!"

"Well, whatever the case, this forcefield should protect us from the rain." Eda explained. "And from made up demons."

"And if none of that works, I'll just brake out ol' reliable here." Luz said, pulling out the whip.

King then asked "D-Do you just...carry that thing wherever you go at all times?"

"Why wouldn't I?" Luz asked. "I'm a Belmont afterall."

"Hoot!" Hooty hooted. "Well, hurry it up with that force field. That rain is getting closer to my precious stucco."

"Yeah, yeah. I got it." Eda said as finished the spell that allows the forcefield to form around the house, fittingly.

"Huh. Well, that worked out well." Luz said. "You know, Eda's magic could rival that of the speakers."

"Speakers?" King questioned "What? Are they guys who talk a lot?"

"Speakers are human nomads and scholars of magic." Luz explained. "One of my Ancestors was married to one. Which...would explain how future generations of my bloodline were able to do magic afterwards."

"I met a few speakers in my day." Eda said as she walked up to the other kid. "Like there was one little girl I might about a year ago in the human realm. She impressed me with the amount of magic she could do at her age. What was her name again? Bel-? Ben...lades? Bin Laden?"

"You mean...Belnades?" Luz said."

"Yeah! That was it!" Eda said excitedly before she yawns tiredly. "Ugh, the forcefield really took it out of me."

"Uh oh. Moving a little slow." King remarked. "Age finally getting to ya?"

And then Eda pulled his cap over his face, making him panic.

"Ah! Darkness!"

And with that, they all headed inside and Luz wished Eda a good night's rest as the Owl Lady headed up to her room. Still, the fact that she knew who the Belnades are made Luz continue to wonder what else does Eda know. Unfortunately, she wasn't gonna get any information with Eda sleeping like a log.

"Well, I guess I'm back to reading my book."

"Wait! Don't you wanna finish our lesson?" King asked. "I was gonna let you scratch a demon's tummy. Me!"

"Aw, King." Luz cooed as she did start to scratch King's belly. "You know I'll always make time for you. But still, does it frustrate me that Eda never makes time to tell me what I want to know about my family history."

"She knows how much it means to you." King argued. "And she is planning on telling you everything one day, just...give it time."

"Not a chance." Luz said. "If there's one thing my family's known for, it's losing our cool and having zero patients!"

"Luz, wait!"

And with that, Luz marched over to Eda's room and opened the door.

"Hey, Eda. I-WHOA."

She wasn't prepared for what she was seeing. A giant creature was resting in a giant nest inside the room. To Luz, it almost looked like a Manticore of some kind, but then she saw it's snoring face.

"Eda?!"

It was in fact Eda, having been turned into a giant beast and was sleeping inside her room. And it was then that King taught up to Luz, seeing her frozen with fear and shock.

"Yeah, I should've told you. It's a bad idea to disturb Eda when she's sleeping."

"That's Eda?" Luz asked. "It looks like the creature that ate Eda."

"Nevertheless, let's get out of here before she wakes up and kills us."

And with that, the slowly and quietly close the door before tiptoeing back into the living room. Luz was still processing the fact that it was fact Eda in that nest, having been turned in a giant monster.

"So...I guess I now know why they call her the Owl Lady."

"That and because she coughs up rat bones." Hoot said.

"And also because she's attracted to shiny objects." King said before sighing. "I'm sorry you had to see her that way, Luz. It's an existing condition, one she's had for a long time and one that's she not proud of."

"How could she turn into that thing?" Luz asked.

King replied "It's a curse. Long before I was born, Eda had been cursed at a young age. Probably the same age as you. And whenever she doesn't take a special elixir that keeps her in her normal state, she turns into that...thing."

"A monster curse..." Luz said before scrying though her book. "...Just like Cornell."

"Who?"

"Cornell, the Blue Crescent Moon." Luz explained. "He...suffered from the curse of Lycans, turning him into a man-beast. But, that was until he met his sister, Ada, adopting her and wanting to keep her safe. It was that determination that was what allowed Cornell to have mastery over his beast form."

"Too bad I was never determined to keep someone safe, other than myself." Eda said, surprising the two to see that she was up and back to her normal self.

"Eda! I-"

"Don't worry. I heard everything, kid." Eda interrupted. "That wolf-guy was lucky. He had family to look after, while I could barely take care of myself at the time."

"But you have this house. You got your own business." Luz argued. "And, you even reverted back to your old self."

"I didn't start off this way, Luz." Eda explained. "Back when I was around your age, I could barely help myself. My parents practically disowned me, I because a disgrace to others, and my curse would just...show up out of nowhere when I least expected it, and there was barely anything I could do to keep myself from changing..."

This kind of stuff made Luz and King sad to hear.

"...But that was when I met some...pretty interesting people."

"...Who?" Luz asked, curious.

"It was back when I first got the portal to the Human Realm..."

Flashback...

A young Eda, who's hair was faint orange and growing white streaks on both sides, walked through the portal to the human realm. It was dark and a storm was brewing that very same night, and Eda was not used to how the rain from Earth didn't burn her skin, as she felt the cool droplets land on her hand in wonder. It was only until she heard monstrous growls coming from the woods, did she snap out of her trance.

"At the time, I wasn't aware of the fact that your world had been infested with night creatures."

Then, Eda can be seen fighting said creatures, from wolves, to wargs, to raptor-like demons...then Gaibon and Slogra, the flying and spear wielding demon duo, who Eda was surprisingly not ready for. Next thing she knew, she was on the ground, having a huge bloody gash on her shoulder that was leaving her in a puddle of her own blood as she breathed heavily at the pterosaur-like demon was about to impale her on his spear.

"I would've died, that night...but then I met someone very interesting."

Just before Slogra could do the finishing blow, it looked like it was blasted off of Eda as the night creatures looked to see someone standing under the light of the moon. It was a man who wore a dark 19th century jacket with a grey vest and scarf underneath, a gray belt that held a brown bag with a cross on it, green pants, a belt wrapped around his right leg with a sheathed short sword on it and light brown shoes with armor plating on the sides. He had black hair that was grown to barely reach his shoulders, his face was heavily scarred, one over his right eye and on the bridge of his noses, and one under his left eye. He also has a full beard and mustache. In his hands was a chain whip in the shape of a cross, which he then swung and struck each enemy that dared to attack him.

Eda was shocked by this, a merely human had so much power in his hands, it almost seemed like magic. In fact, it WAS magic and Eda realized that before she felt her energy begin to drain and saw the man standing over her before she drifted in unconsciousness.

"The last thing I remember was seeing that the man was about to leave before he spotted me and I could feel warm arounds wrap around and carry me someplace else."

Then Eda wakes up and finds her wounds bandaged up. And also the place she was in was not her home, but it looked more the back room of a church. She picked herself up from an old looking mattress and stretched a little, still feeling a little sore from her injuries, but she wouldn't let that stop her. She felt like she's seen it all and now there was nothing that could surprise her now.

"You snore." An Englishman's voice said, scaring Eda and making her fall back down on the mattress. She looked to see the man from before looming over her while sitting on a chair. "Maybe it's a broke nose."

"What?! W-W-Who are you?" Eda asked as the man stood up from his chair and lent her a hand. She was a bit surprised to see how kind and gentle he was to her.

"I am Victor." He said. "Victor Belmont. Commander of the Brotherhood of Light. Protector of Humanity. And the heir...of my illustrious bloodline."

"Victor Belmont? Brotherhood of Light?" Luz asked. "But I thought it was just-"

"A legend?" Eda said. "Like Sonia Belmont?"

Eda can be seen walking along side Victor as she welcomed by the rest of the Brotherhood. From there on out, it would seem that she had found a new home, a new family, and new ways of exceeding in magic, both from her world and Earth's; all while Victor stood by her side. But even at that time, did her curse grow to worsen and she could barely even keep it together.

"Victor had treated me like no one else ever did. He...gave me a chance to join the brotherhood, saying that he could sense potential. He was my mentor...my friend. And he was also the guy who helped me...own...my curse."

One day, Eda found herself turning, and it was too late before the brotherhood could help to treat her. The knights and warriors of the Order saw her as a beast, a monster, but not Victor. He could still see the face of his apprentice, he could sense her spirit trying to get away from the darkness that clouds her soul and this was enough to ensure that he would not give up on her...even as she tried to rip and bite his throat out while he held his own by using his whip.

"We're not your enemies, Edalyn!" He said to her. "Try to think!"

But Eda couldn't hear him. The beast had taken over and Victor was forced to fight. Despite it's violent, the Owl Beast was no match for the strength of a Belmont. However, Victor would not let her die. There had to be a way to purge the curse from her soul, to purify her very being. And it was there that Victor unleashed his light magic upon his pupil and the blinding flash coming from his weapon had cleansed Eda of her curse...for now. Whenever she reverted back to normal, she saw her mentor with expressions of anger...concern...and pain.

"...We have a lot to work on."

"He saved me life..."

Victor and Eda are seen training in combat...

"He helped me to deal with my curse..."

They are seen meditating together...

"To accept it...master it...and control it."

And then Eda can be seen transforming...at will. From Witch to Beast, the curse was hers to bare. But she now claimed ownership over it as she and the Beast were now one."

"Despite all the good Victor had done for me, I couldn't stay." Eda said as she lead Luz and King up to her room. There, they stopped in front of a wardrobe. "I need to get back home, back to my own life. But I promised him...that I would never stop doing good in any world. To stand...for what the Brotherhood was known for."

Luz couldn't believe it. Her Great...Whatever Grandfather helped Eda in her trying times. No wonder she knew so much. And it was then that Eda revealed a special kind of uniform that she's seen in her dreams. It was a dark red with golden engravings all around it, and even featured a hood. It was an outfit of the Brotherhood.

"This is proof that I was once part of the Order." Eda said. "Victor's gift to me..."

"...Eda, I-"

And it was then that I heard a crash coming from downstairs. They rushed down to see that a Window was open and sees a shadowy figure trying to escape. But Luz managed to grab hold of it using her whip and the pulls it towards them to revealed their little intruder is...what looks like a pink monkey wearing a spikey shell.

"Snaggleback?" King said. "Wow. You're much small in person."

"And kinda cute." Luz said.

"Please don't hurt me!" The demon said. "I was just looking for someplace to hide from the rain."

"No problem." Luz said as she untied the whip from his leg. "Since you're here, you mind helping King with some research?"

"Um...I guess not."

"Great!" King said as he took the Snaggleback with him. "Come with me, my loyal subject. We have much to discuss."

And with that, Luz and Eda were left alone to talk.

"This does help to clear up a lot about your past, and how you knew about my family." Luz said to her. "Thanks."

"Of course. You deserve answers, Luz." Eda replied. "And soon enough, I'll tell you all I know."

"There is something I want to know now. How did you get cursed?"

"You know, I've never really found that out." Eda said. "A few years back, I've...tried questioning anybody with the ability or resources to curse me. No luck there. But since I've now gain control over it...it's all in past now."

"Okay then. I'll leave it alone." Luz said. "I think I've had enough for one day. Goodnight, Eda."

"'Night, Luz."

Luz headed back to living room and saw the two little demons talking. She also heard King saying something about editing the section about the Snaggleback in his book, but only heard apart of it as she fell asleep.

At the Demon Castle, in the chamber of the Mirror of Fate, there laid a coffin that was suddenly opened from the inside. As the cover had fallen to the ground, the man from within the coffin stood dizzily as he slowly walked towards the mirror. There, awaited a lost soul, who's masked face was cracked, rendering it mute as the being approached.

"I've been here before." He said as he faced the Lost Soul. "You were here too...Who am I?"

The Lost Soul merely pointed to the mirror and it glowed in an outworldly light. As he stared into it, the warrior was horrified by what he saw. By what he had become.

"No...No!...NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

He fell to his knees and covered his face in sorrow.

"I see know...who I am." He said. "Is this to be my fate? Not this! Please, not this! It wasn't supposed to be like this!"

He stood there, seeing that he was reborn, a monster, the very race he was meant to destroy. Seeing that there no point in fighting it anymore, he accepted his new nature as the Lost Soul had him brandish a new weapon. Despite how things are now, his mission still stood and he would finished what he started all those years ago.

"It's time for us to meet once more...Father!"

And then Luz woke up so suddenly, startling King a moment.

"You okay, Luz?"

The girl only said and put her hand at her head as she said...

"What a horrible night to have a curse..."

Yeah, I wanted to do something different with this episode...and with Eda's curse...deal with it. Anyway, I should probably clarify that this story takes place in a mixture of both the original and LoS timelife, and that there's gonna be references from both series.
