With Terminus and Malware...
Walking on a bridge, the duo of Roidmude Executives were on their way to meet their new 'friends' until they sensed that the Heavy Acceleration across the city of Musutafu was going to end.
Reverting back into their human forms to hide their appearance and blend in with the people nearby, Malware and Terminus looked at each other in surprise.
"Looks like we'll never get to meet our new friends after all." Said Terminus, his tone sounding as though he already knew this was going to happen.
"Preposterous! They were a new batch of powerful and versatile Roidmudes! How could anyone defeat them?" Malware questioned, trying to wrap his mind on how anyone, let alone a Pro Hero human, could defeat a Roidmude.
But what if the responsible for this was not one of those so-called Heroes?
"Someone does come to mind." The tanned man now said knowingly. "We better have a talk with the others about this."
My Hero Academia Illegals: Vigilante Dark Drive
Drive 04: Aftermath of the incident
With Kamen Rider Dark Drive...
U.A. High - Front entrance
Nobody dared to say a word as the vigilante was being stared back by two high school girls that were sporting conflicted and frightened looks on their faces.
"..." Itsuka swallowed nervously and tried to put a brave face before the mysterious black warrior in front of her and Pony.
She quickly realizes how dangerous Kamen Rider Dark Drive is, her instincts telling her so, having also heard about the man that knocked out their class' homeroom teacher.
As for Pony, she wasn't faring much better.
It was almost as if she would faint at any moment from the intense pressure/presence that was being exuded from the dark vigilante.
As for the Kamen Rider Dark Drive himself, the masked man doesn't know exactly why he actually stopped his hand from destroying the Liquid Roidmude's Numbered 034 Core to look back at the duo of U.A. High's Hero Course students.
It was simply that something about their looks was bothering him...
But why?
[...] And lastly, as for Belt-san, he quickly deduced the situation and what was probably bothering the pair of girls that got closer to his user.
And it simply wasn't because Yuuki was a vigilante that needs to be immediately captured.
But rather…
"Ahhh!" The 034 Core could be heard crying in pain, within Dark Drive's hand, as this snaps everyone else out of their thoughts, with all of them now focusing back on Liquid's remains.
"I don't wanna die!" Liquid cried in despair, earning gasps from both Itsuka and Pony due to how 'realistic' the android soul sounded to a real human.
However, Dark Drive semmed unfazed by his beaten enemy's plea.
The Roidmudes were still a serious threat to the world. It's too dangerous to not destroy them and let these mechanical monsters continue to exist. Especially when there is one of them here in their vulnerable Core state.
"Ahhh!" Liquid's Core cried again in pain as the black Kamen Rider tightened his grip around the Mechanical Life Form's 'soul', preparing to destroy it for good this time.
"STOP!"
Huh?
Confused, the masked fighter looked over at Pony.
"Tsunotori!" Itsuka looks at her friend in horror, fearing the worst.
The blonde horned girl had mustered the courage to take a few steps towards him, though her legs shook like jelly.
"P-p-please! Y-y-y-you don't have to kill him!" Pony pleaded, using a mix of her Japanese accent and English as she held up her shaking hands. "He can't even fight back! You just can't kill someone like this!"
At this, Class 1-B's representative stepped up next to her foreign companion, also gaining the same courage as the horned blonde.
"That's right! You have no right to execute him! Just hand him over to the Police!" Itsuka manages to say to Dark Drive.
None of the girls knew what exactly the Roidmude is, but surely that is just another person with a strange and unusual Quirk, right?
"Y-Yeah! They're right!" 034 tells Dark Drive, making the masked Rider glare underneath his helmet at him. "You already defeated me, Kamen Rider! I lost, Dark Drive! You're one of the good guys, aren't you? Heroes don't kill the villains! I won't cause trouble anymore, I swear! Please, spare me!"
'Dark Drive?' Itsuka ponders, wondering why the villain used this codename to talk to the vigilante. Could it be the Kamen Rider's true alias?
The masked vigilante and the sentient Drive Driver realized that their mechanical enemy was desperate, deciding to appeal to the notion that the Kamen Rider considered himself like one of these Pro Heroes.
Not that any of his words would have an effect at all on the black-colored vigilante...
"The loser must receive an end befitting for them." Dark Drive states emotionless as the 034 sounds even more desperate while Itsuka and Pony grimace upon realizing what the black warrior is about to do.
"No, please! Wait-!"
*Crack!*
"AAAAAH!" The Roidmude's horrified scream echoed through the area, sending chills down the spine of some of the people present nearby.
Liquid cries in pain one last time as Dark Drive crushes the numbered Core in his hand, promptly destroying his enemy for good this time.
It really felt like a human being, a real person, was actually killed by the vigilante.
Itsuka placed a hand to cover her mouth while Pony's shaking legs finally gave in as she dropped on the floor next to her classmate.
"You… You killed him..." Itsuka finally managed to say, staring at Kamen Rider Dark Drive as the man turned away and began to leave the area, not bothering to face the girls or any of the other present students.
At the next instant, the NEXTridoron appears as it stops before the black-themed vigilante, its driver door opening automatically as the dark mysterious warrior was about to get into the vehicle.
Only for him to stop as a voice calls him…
"Why…?" A soft voice calls Dark Drive from behind, prompting him to glance back as he can see Pony looking back at him in anguish. "Why did you...?"
"You're still too young and green to grasp the bigger picture." The vigilante suddenly speaks in perfect English, briefly astonishing Pony and Itsuka. "The enemy I destroyed was someone too dangerous to be left alive."
Living under Krim's care, Yuuki was able to get a great grasp of the English language since his guardian is, after all, an American that was living in Japan. Funnily enough, Steinbelt semmed very fascinated with Japanese culture.
"W-What…?" Is the only thing Pony manages to ask once she processed what Dark Drive told her.
"Hey, stop!" A loud voice calls as the U.A. High's staff could be seen rushing towards the three of them.
But it was too late.
The black Kamen Rider got inside of the NEXTridoron and began to drive away.
By the time the Pro Hero Faculty caught up to Pony and Itsuka, the vigilante was already out of their reach as his black Mercedes-like car disappeared from their sight, driving down the roadway.
'Kamen Rider… Dark Drive...' Itsuka ponders, clenching her fists in frustration and narrowing her eyes in the direction the Rider Machine headed.
Sometime later…
Back at the amusement park…
Yuuki and Yuriko were watching all the people kidnapped by the Roidmudes being carried into the ambulances before being sent to the local hospital.
"*Sigh* Well, I supposed this case is closed now that we dealt with the Roidmudes." Yuriko speaks, earning a nod from her partner.
"Yeah." The male police detective agrees with her as the Shift Next Shift Car appears on his right shoulder, with Krim/Belt-san's voice coming from the minicar:
[Aside from the man 034 copied his human form, at least nobody died. We are fortunate to not have many victims this time.]
Some of the Shift Cars have the ability to be used as Mr. Belt's "eyes" on the field, allowing him to discreetly observe whatever the Type Change Cars are observing, and communicate with Shinnosuke when he isn't around.
At the mention of the late Tobe Takeru(034's human form), Yuuki adopts a light frown as he remembers some particular details that the defeated Roidmudes told them before being destroyed. But he decides to investigate this matter later as he and his kouhai notice someone approaching them.
This prompts the Kamen Rider to hide the Shift Next into his blazer's pocket.
"Tomari. Shijima." A man's voice calls them as the duo of detectives turns to face the newcomer.
He is a very tall, sturdily built man with the head of a beagle. The area around his eyes and his ears is a dark brown, the two sides separated by a tan line, which runs down his forehead, widening at his muzzle, which is flecked with pale brown.
He has a large, black nose and dark eyes, and, although the rest of his body is of normal human shape, his skin appears to be the same tan color as most of his face.
The man wears a suit, consisting of a dress shirt, and waistcoat, over which he wears an unbuttoned black blazer and matching dress pants underneath. He has a belt with a large buckle and a black and white tie that resembles a dalmatian's coat.
This is Tsuragamae Kenji, the Chief of Police. He is a decorated officer serving well into his late forties.
"Chief Tsuragamae, sir." Yuuki and Yuriko proceed to salute the man.
"At ease, you two. Woof!" The dog-headed man says as the detectives relax their stance.
'Woof?' Yuriko repeats in her mind, briefly tilting her head.
Kenji was a bit of an odd one sometimes due to dog Quirk. He has the habit of saying dog-related puns with a straight face, acknowledging his physical appearance.
"I have verified from your reports that the case is closed since the villain behind this incident has been defeated by the Kamen Rider, literally exploding into bits. Is that correct?" The police chief questions them, earning a nod from the pair of ravenette officers.
"Yes, and we already confirmed that there is some sort of [Shapeshifting] Quirk involved since he stole Tobe Takeru's identity and pretended to be him after killing him." Yuriko tells the humanoid man dog. "Is there any problem? I did not expect to see you personally come here to talk with us, chief. No offense, sir."
Kenji lets out a light chuckle at the woman's question.
"No, no. There's nothing you have to worry about. I really came here just to congratulate the two of you in your first case as a team, Shijima-kun." He tells her, his eyes softening as he turns to face Yuuki. "I hope you have no trouble with me arranging Shijima Yuriko as your new partner, detective Tomari."
The silver-eyed ravenette shook his head at this, briefly wondering how exactly Krim learned that Yuriko would become his new partner. Did his charge spy on Tsuragamae at some point?
"No, sir. In fact, I would like to keep working with her from now if possible." Yuuki replies to his superior, looking back at Yuriko with an expression of approval.
The police chief hummed at the younger man's answer, actually pleased with what he heard.
"I'm glad to hear that, Tomari-kun. Woof!" Kenji tells, smiling.
Like Tsukauchi and Tanuma, Tsuragamae also acknowledges and respects Yuuki's detective skills and doesn't care in the slightest if the black-haired man was a Quirkless person.
By being the one responsible for arranging Yuriko as Yuuki's new partner, Kenji hopes that the veteran cop eventually opens up personally for the others.
"Alright then. Now, as for the other reason I came to talk with you two: You two will take part of the credit."
Huh? Credits? What credits?
"What do you mean, chief?" Yuuki questions, raising an eyebrow.
"You two will take part of the credit for this incident due to rescuing all the people trapped within this amusement park. As I have been told, there were even some missing Pro Heroes amongst the rescued victims." Kenji clarifies.
"But why? And what about the Kamen Rider? Isn't he the one who actually saved the day? Shouldn't everyone be aware by now that he is the one responsible for dispelling the [Slowdown] over the entire town of Musuftafu?" Yuriko asks next.
Of course, there were several witnesses across the city that managed to spot the vigilante fighting the Roidmudes while nobody else could.
Not even the Pro Heroes, which was left unsaid with a heavy silence…
Having an idea of where the rookie detective is going with this line of thought, the police chief raises a hand and stops Yuriko.
"I understand what you mean, Shijima-kun. Indeed, that black Kamen Rider saved Musutafu. However, we still have rules to follow. We can't entirely support that man's actions since he is an 'illegal' hero. That said, we will have to bend facts a little in order to preserve the status quo." Tsuragamae states.
The female officer did not look happy upon hearing this.
"I think I have an idea of what to tell the press, sir." Yuuki calmly offers, much to his partner's surprise.
"Tomari-san?" She looked at him with an incredulous look.
"Oh? And what do you suggest, detective Tomari?" The man-dog questions the veteran investigator.
"We could say that the vigilante only managed to stop the villains behind this incident because he has been spying on the police network. Maybe we can say that he did not figure what to do on his own." Yuuki suggests. "Or maybe even suggest a fake story in which the vigilante already knew about the [Slowdown] happening but didn't want to warn the authorities about it to make himself look like a hero and get on the public's good side."
Kenji hummed in thought upon hearing these ideas.
"Interesting. You offered me some good suggestions, Tomari. Maybe this will make the public instead see that the vigilante has put the entire city of Musutafu at risk by not trying to prevent the [Slowdown] from happening."
"But… We are technically lying, aren't we? What if the press and the rest of the public somehow find out?" Yuriko questions, feeling skeptical about it as she looks upset at the two men.
"This is one of the rules we have to follow when it comes to heroes and vigilantes, Yuriko. When it comes to decisions like this, we have to follow the procedures that the Hero Public Safety Commission has implemented." Yuuki tells his kouhai as Tsuragame gives her a look of sympathy.
The female cop really can't believe her own partner of all people is making his other persona purposely look bad?
How could he!?
Is the public image that much important to them if that meant order and peace will be maintained? Shouldn't everyone deserve to know the truth?
The rookie detective wanted to protest and cry at Yuuki and Kenji's decision, but she knows better than actually doing it now.
Later during a press conference, the Musutafu Police Department goes along with the suggestion that Yuuki offered to the chief of police.
As he and his partner were partly praised for their actions during the incident and for rescuing the Roidmudes' victims, Yuriko was surprised to later learn that the public opinion over Kamen Rider Dark Drive wasn't entirely negative.
Half of the citizens genuinely believed that the black-masked vigilante had no control over the [Slowdown] happening across Musutafu city and were grateful that he was present to stop the Roidmudes, given that he was the only person capable of properly moving during the time distortion to fight the evil androids while none of the Pro Heroes accomplished the same feat.
The next day...
Now Yuuki and Yuriko found themselves inside the NEXTridoron, the duo was on their way to U.A. High to get some testimonies from the people there about what exactly happened when Kamen Rider Dark Drive showed up at the Hero Academy's front gate to fight the Iron and Liquid Roidmudes.
At this moment, Yuuki decides to start a talk with his younger partner.
"How long do you plan to be still upset with what was decided?" He questioned the woman, his eyes not leaving the road as he kept driving the black Mercedes-like vehicle.
Yuriko sighed at the man's calm demeanor before answering:
"Look, I understand that you aren't fighting for glory and fame like how some of the Pro Heroes do. But I still can't completly understand it, Tomari-san. How can you not be mad at all about the authorities trying to cover up Dark Drive's actions? No, scratch that. How can you make yourself, the Kamen Rider persona, look purposely bad in the public's eyes and be fine with it?"
The veteran detective merely shrugged at his partner before talking:
"It's just as you said, Yuriko. Well, I could honestly care less about the praises or the attention I could get. If nobody innocent died and the enemy was destroyed, then that's enough to satisfy me."
"If you say so. But remember that trust built upon lies will be eventually exposed. Both for the Hero Community and the public. When more Roidmudes appear, people might lose trust in the Pro Heroes and the HPSC since they can't do much against the Mechanical Life Forms on their own."
"I know. But besides you, Yuriko, what matters is that not only people like chief Tsuragamae, but even the HPSC and some of the Pro Heroes acknowledge this truth. That nobody else other than the Kamen Rider could have done something about the Roidmudes during the Heavy Acceleration's effects back then.
How they will deal with the backlash of the public's reaction when they learn the truth about this will be up to them. Not us. They won't immediately admit to the masses, of course, but knowing that part of their little ego and pride have shattered over the fact that a certain vigilante is handling their job is enough to make me happy." Yuuki tells his partner, smirking in amusement.
But compared to the Pro Heroes and the Hero Public Safety Commission, the Police Force will be mostly fine. And Yuuki is also aware that their police chief is more open-minded in comparison to the other authority figures.
While he is rigid in his following of the rule of law, police chief Tsuragamae is still very flexible in its enforcement, as he is willing to explain how Kamen Rider Dark Drive can avoid punishment in certain cases.
He gives respect to those who have done a good job, even secretly thanking and acknowledging the black-masked vigilante for stopping the Roidmudes and saving Musutafu from their [Slowdown], even though the Rider broke the law by 'using' his Quirk(oh, if only he knew the truth) without official clearance.
"I suppose so. But learning that the chief was surprisingly fine with it still sounds unbelievable sometimes to me. I couldn't actually imagine that he disagrees with the HPSC and even some of the Pro Heroes on certain occasions." Yuriko hummed in thought, her frustration disappearing.
"I know. But, well, think about it: if we're shown supporting Dark Drive's actions, people will start to get suspicious about us. Even if we're police detectives. We have to 'show' that we disapprove the Kamen Rider's acts of vigilantism. It would be a pain in the ass if especially Tsukauchi-san thought that we're hiding something." Yuuki reminds his partner.
"Ah, it's because he has a [Lie Detector] Quirk, right? I have heard about how useful it is in our line of work."
"Yep. He has acquired a special license to use it since it's always active whenever he talks with anyone. But it's not entirely flawless. His ability can be tricked and bypassed if I only give half-truths or I if genuinely believe that a piece of wrong information is actually the correct one."
"I see. Tsukauchi is basically a human Lie Detector, right? It's not like he can read minds."
Yeah. Now that her senpai explained his point of view on the matter, it's perhaps for the best that their team operates this way to not attract unwanted attention as much as possible towards them.
Later…
U.A. High - Principal's Office
After arriving at U.A. High, Yuuki and Yuriko headed to the Principal's Office to meet with Nezu there.
"Thank you for your cooperation on the case, Principal Nezu. If possible, could we also later have access to what the cameras' footage managed to film about the Kamen Rider?" Yuriko asks the intelligent animal, taking some notes about what she learned from his testimony.
"Yes, of course. The U.A. staff will be more than glad to offer whatever help we can, detectives." The Pro Hero tells the police officers.
Yuuki nodded at this as he proceeds to make his request:
"From what we've gathered on the way, two students of your Hero Course managed to have a brief interaction with the vigilante. Am I correct? Do you mind if we also gather their testimonies over what happened?"
"Ah, yes. Sure. I will call them, detective Tomari. They are Kendo Itsuka and Tsunotori Pony." Nezu replies to the black-haired man.
"Appreciated." The ravenette nods to the principal, the animal still being unaware that the very person the Pro Heroes are looking for is right in front of him.
Not that Yuuki would be dumb enough or bold to leave subtle hints about his secret identity for the talking animal to uncover.
But unbeknownst to the pair of detectives as they left the Principal's Office to talk with the girls, Nezu was about to read an unknown sealed letter that he just received from a mysterious source.
And the said letter also happened to have Kamen Rider Lupin's emblem on it...
The pair of detectives were eventually led to a private room, where they met with Itsuka and Pony to talk with them.
It was decided that Yuriko would interrogate the ginger-haired girl while Yuuki talks with the foreign blond horned student.
"Are you okay to talk now, Kendo-san? So, did you notice anything, in particular, that might help us identify the Kamen Rider's identity?"
"I… No, I'm sorry. I don't think I can remember anything else useful about the Kamen Rider, detective-san." Itsuka tells Yuriko what she experienced and could remember in regards to how she interacted with the black vigilante.
"I… My body wouldn't move when I felt him staring back at me, right into my eyes. I… It feels like I hesitated. He easily got away because I did nothing to stop him while Tsunotori, understandably, also semmed pretty shaken by how the Kamen Rider calmly killed the villains that attacked us. And yet…! I should have done something!"
This made the female cop look in understanding to the student before she shook her head at what Itsuka said.
"It is understandable, Kendo-san. Nobody blames you for that. Your teachers told me so. You made nothing wrong. There's nothing wrong about admitting if you felt some fear or insecurity about confronting the Kamen Rider.
You may be training to become a Pro Hero someday in the future, but the fact is that you're still a high school student as well in the first place. Kendo-san, you still don't have a license or authorization to face the vigilante as you wanted back then. What really matters is that, aside from the villains, nobody else died or was gravely injured during the fight that took place in the front gates." The detective gently tells the big-fisted girl, managing to somewhat calm and comfort the representative of Class 1-B.
Itsuka gives Yuriko a weak smile, nodding in appreciation.
"Okay… Thanks."
With Yuuki and Pony...
"Hey… Uh… I..."
Pony was currently struggling a little to speak with Yuuki, having a bit of difficulty to talk in Japanese without accidentally using some English words and terms.
Not that the Kamen Rider actually minded that, he has seen her profile and learned about her situation beforehand.
"If you have trouble or feel uncomfortable right now about speaking in Japanese, then we can talk in English. I don't mind." The black-haired cop suddenly tells the blonde horned girl in English, surprising her.
"Eh? Oh!" Pony looked grateful upon hearing that.
She really didn't expect the detective to be casual about it.
"Hello there, my name is Tomari Yuuki." The cop spoke in fluent English as he introduced himself(again) to the girl.
"My name is Pony Tsunotori!" Pony introduced herself in perfect English immediately, and the man noted the way she placed her family name behind her given name in her speech, which is different from how the Japanese put their family name before their given name. "Thank you. There's finally someone else who can speak with me in English!"
"That accent, are you from the States?" Yuuki asked curiously.
"New York!" She said enthusiastically. "You've been there before?"
"Yeah, I have been there on vacation once."
But before the two of them could end getting sidetracked talking about more possible irrelevant topics, the police officer resumes the interrogation as he proceeds to get the girl's testimony.
Overall, what Yuuki learned from Pony wasn't much different from what Itsuka told Yuriko.
That said…
"Tsunotori-san, how are you feeling right now? Your teachers and classmates are all worried about you. They told me that witnessing the vigilante terminate the villain right in front of you semmed to have traumatized you a bit." The police detective speaks softly, looking sympathetically at her.
Pony flinched at the information he brought up before adopting an uncomfortable expression on her face.
"I… I don't know what was passing through the Kamen Rider's mind when he was holding the villain in his hand. And then… he simply killed him. How could he do this?" The girl remembers grimly.
Yuuki sighs at this.
Might as well be frank with her and teach her a thing or two. It will also help her grow up later as well…
"I understand how you feel, Tsunotori-san. I'm sure the Kamen Rider will be eventually arrested and answer for his acts of vigilantism. That said, he cannot be technically charged with murder." He drops the revelation.
Huh?
"Wait, what!?" She looks back at him in disbelief at what she just heard. "What do you mean?"
"Look, it's not that simple to call him a murderer. Sure, he apparently 'killed' the villain in front of you. But the main question is: Who exactly? And that's not all, the description you and your classmate gave about the villain doesn't match any of the results we have on the police database about Quirks. The criminal in question is literally a person that 'doesn't exist'. And so, how can we be even sure that who or what was destroyed in the first place is truly a person? A human being? For all we know, it could be the work of a Quirk that makes artificial sentient beings." Yuuki explains to Pony.
"But… But that's not fair!" She cries back in protest.
Yuuki merely shook his head at this.
"Life hardly is fair, kid. And as a hero in training, you should know that you will have to be prepared to experience more situations like this in the future once you graduate from U.A."
Pony understands that the detective wasn't talking like this to purposely mock or upset her.
But it still left a bitter feeling inside her heart.
It semmed that the man was basically telling her that it was simply okay for the Kamen Rider to have killed the villain that he faced the other day and that the black warrior wouldn't be punished for it.
That he can easily get away with it…
Having an idea of what the blonde is thinking, Yuuki brings up another point to solidify his point of view:
"How about I give you an example of a similar case?" Yuuki offers, grabbing her attention.
"A similar case?" Pony repeats, tilting her head to the side.
Just who would have a similar Quirk fitting this situation?
"Have you ever heard about Bubaigawara Jin?" The police detective asks the Hero Course student as he begins to talk about a particular man's situation
Villain
Twice
Real name: Bubaigawara Jin
Bubaigawara is an adult man with blond hair and gray-blue eyes. He has a large scar splitting his forehead from an incident in his past. Jin has visible traces of facial hair over his mouth and at the bottom of his chin. His civilian attire consists of a blue-collared shirt over a white tank top along with a normal pair of pants and boots.
Twice's villain costume is a black and gray bodysuit that covered his body completely, along with gray boots. The upper half of his signature mask was gray with white eye sockets while the lower half covering his mouth was black. Twice also sports red and green wristbands that he stored his measuring tapes in.
The majority of Twice's suit is black, other than the section over his lower legs and the gray designs that appear to form a "T" and "W" over his chest. The "T" is formed by a horizontal line crossing his upper torso and a vertical line ascending from the abdomen. Another line snakes down to his lower torso and splits down to his thighs, which then ascends to his hips forming a "W".
Costume: Twice's villain costume is worn by him mainly to help preserve his mental well-being, as wearing his costume and keeping his face covered kept his split personalities from clashing.
Measuring Tape: Twice kept measuring tape in both of his wristbands. He used them to collect measurements for his cloning and for combat. The tape is extremely sharp and can be used as a weapon, being enough to cut clean through solid ice.
Quirk: [Double]
Jin's Quirk grants him the ability to create an exact duplicate of anything, living or not. In order to duplicate something, he needed to know the exact measurements and characteristics.
He was limited to only two duplications at a time. The duplicates were not as durable as the original; the second duplicate being even less durable than the first.
When Twice created duplicates of a person, he had no control over the clones because they had their own autonomy; their personalities and abilities being completely identical to the original.
Creating doubles of himself allowed him to bypass his two duplicate limit since a duplicate of a person would possess the same Quirk as the original. He is unwilling to duplicate himself due to traumatic experiences involving his own clones.
The clones don't disappear. Instead, they disintegrated into a mud-like substance after taking a certain degree of damage.
This Quirk could give Twice the potential to take down entire countries.
Bubaigawara Jin's profile...
When Jin was in middle school, both of his parents were killed by a villain, leaving him alone as an orphan without any other family members to adopt him. He was able to find employment with an employer who kindly gave him food and shelter.
Later, Jin accidentally hit someone with his motorbike, and the victim survived with only a broken arm. Jin was brought to the police where he explained that the victim jumped in front of his bike. Understanding Jin was fully abiding the law, the police officer released him, informing Jin that this incident would have created a criminal record, but assured him that it is never too late to start over.
Unfortunately, the motorcycle accident victim was a staff member of a long-time customer of Jin's boss, and he vowed that he would never return to their business. This enraged Jin's boss, blaming, firing, and evicting Jin into homelessness.
Jin's loneliness and depression eventually became so severe that he used his Quirk on himself to create someone he could trust. At first, he created one copy of himself, and gradually made more to be his friends. To survive, however, he later began using his duplicates to perform armed robberies and thefts.
He soon realized his Quirk could create unlimited criminal manpower, expanding his own assets and power by using his immense numbers to commit many infamous crimes. Such a rise in infamy led Jin into becoming one of Japan's most wanted criminals.
Yuuki finishes telling Pony about Bubaigawara's crimes as he brings up a certain issue:
"The clones that Bubaigawara makes of himself and other people are pretty much 'human' in all aspects, other than the fact that they aren't much durable of course. Now think about this, Tsunotori-san:
If I killed one of these clones with a headshot from my revolver, would I be charged with murder? Obviously not since I didn't kill a true human being in the first place." The Kamen Rider calmly explains to the horned blonde. "The thing is that this same circumstance applies to the Kamen Rider's 'murder' since nobody was identified as having being killed by him. No one recognizes the villain that was destroyed and there was not any corpse left behind. He apparently didn't kill a true person per se."
"..." The girl now had a better understanding of what the police officer was trying to tell her.
But once again, it didn't feel right for her. She still couldn't forget the Liquid Roidmude's desperate scream as his Core was destroyed by Kamen Rider Dark Drive.
But unfortunately, there wasn't much else she could do about this if that was how the law works.
She has to learn to deal with it…
Steinbelt Manor - At the Drive Pit
After getting all the relevant testimonies from everyone at U.A. High, Yuuki and Yuriko headed to the Steinbelt Manor to meet with Krim at the Drive Pit.
Yuriko also learned about how Tsunotori Pony's interrogation went and couldn't help but look at her partner with a slightly disappointed expression.
"Tomari-san, don't you think you could have handled your talk with that girl in a nicer way?" She couldn't help but ask.
Yuuki raised an eyebrow at his kouhai's inquiry.
"I'm not the type to sugarcoat things or give sweet talks to others, Yuriko. I simply try to be a logical person whenever I can." He replies to her. "Besides, I was doing that Tsunotori girl a small favor. She has an innocent and naive view of the Hero World. Hopefully, she will use our talk to grow up instead of sulking over what happened. And it's not like I did something to make her hate me."
Yes, while their talk might not have ended in a pleasant way for Pony, the Class 1-B student at least semmed to be mature enough to realize that the man was just being brutally honest with her while merely doing his job of getting her testimony.
Due to his bluntness and matter-of-fact manner, Yuuki can come off as rude and arrogant. However, he cares deeply about human life, unable to understand how any reason could be a sufficient motive for murder, and he is convinced that driving a culprit to suicide is no better than the murder itself.
Yuriko sighs at this, deciding to not press this issue any further since she no longer saw any point in doing so for now.
It seems that there were some things about Yuuki's attitude that she could not change for the time being.
Krim then gets the detectives' attention as he reminds them about why they gathered at the Drive Pit in the first place.
The bespectacled scientist brings up a new version of the Eradicated Roidmude Table created by Sawagami Rinna(Debuts at Episode 37 of Kamen Rider Drive).
The Eradicated Roidmude Table was a record compiled by the Special Investigation Unit of the 108 Roidmudes which they fought, making note of their terminations.
Roidmudes whom the Special Investigation Unit were aware of were added to the table where they were recorded by their Core number and depicted with an image of their Roidmude form, either the Plain Roidmude or whatever Advanced Roidmude form they had attained, as well as an image of any human form they had assumed if applicable.
As well as they, the Mechanical Life Forms were also coded according to which of the three Plain types they belonged to by the metallic colors: Cobra Types were bronze, Spider Types were silver, and Bat Types were gold.
Roidmudes whom the Special Investigation Unit were unaware of, but whose existence among the 108 was self-evident, were marked simply with a question mark (?) and were coded gray. Once a Roidmude was known to have been terminated, they were marked with a red cross (X).
An exempt from this list was the prototype Roidmude 000, named Chase, who fought with humans against his malevolent brethren.
But one notable difference between the old Roidmude List and the new Eradicated Roidmude Table is that while the Special Investigation Unit's list marks deceased Roidmudes with a cross, Krim's new list marks deceased Roidmudes by rendering their portraits in a sepia tone format befitting memorials.
"A list containing all the 108 Roidmudes? Yeah, this will be useful to keep track of how many more of them we still need to take care of." Yuuki muses in interest as he observes Yuriko listing off Liquid, Iron and the Plain Type Roidmudes 011, 013, 015, 042, 054, 071, 083, 088 and 093 from the board.
All of them were labeled as terminated on the Eradication List.
"108 Roidmudes… Almost funny how their numbers represent the 108 desires that tempt humanity away from Nirvana in Buddhism." Yuriko notes the secret meaning behind the original Roidmudes' quantity.
"I'm honestly glad that they never tried to raise the number of Cores to more than 108. As for why exactly, I honestly still don't know." Krim says. "Maybe they were initially confident that 108 was enough for them or perhaps they really couldn't produce more Cores back then. But regardless, we should be glad that there aren't thousands of Roidmudes amongst their ranks."
Yuuki and Yuriko nod in agreement upon hearing his observation.
"And the good thing is that I already managed to eliminate 11 of them so far. It's good to see how things are progressing on our side." The Kamen Rider adds.
But then, the trio suddenly remembers what they heard so far from the Roidmudes they faced…
"Did you also knew that the man I copied had an interesting Quirk of water? Not only I copied it, but I also made it better myself!" 'Tobe' boasts as he changes into his Plain Cobra form.
"The man I based myself had a Quirk named [Waterkinesis] that allowed him to manipulate water around him. He wished to become stronger with it and so I helped him after taking over his life." The evolved Roidmude now known as Liquid announces maliciously.
'To think Roidmudes can also do this in order to evolve… He gained a more powerful version of Kobe's Quirk once they completly synchronized!' Yuriko notes, horrofied.
"But that's not all!" Roidmude 029 announces as he stands next to the Liquid Roidmude. "Some of us new Roidmudes also possess data from our respective previous counterparts!"
"You know, I can't help but imagine what else can happen if what 034 said is true." Yuuki starts.
"Roidmudes can already scan, copy and assimilate themselves with information of a person that they get an interest at in order to acquire not only their desired physical attributes, but also the targets' memories, emotions and knowledge as well." Krim says to the pair of ravenette detectives as he recalls how Banno previously used Roidmude 004 to make a copy of him and acquire Krim's knowledge over the Core Driviar technology and the Drive System all for himself.
"If they could also copy a person's Quirk here then… Then the fights from now on might become harder for us as well. And I honestly wouldn't doubt it at this point if the Roidmudes really managed to analyze and understand the secret behind the Quirks. The enemy certainly wouldn't waste their chance at this new world to further upgrade themselves and acquire new abilities to make themselves even more powerful." He further adds.
Roidmudes managing to copy and evolve people's Quirks to strengthen themselves with new powers indeed sounds terrifying…
Could this be the prelude to a new nightmare that is about to become true?
And if that wasn't enough…
"029 has also said something about managing to evolve since he had data of his previous counterpart." Yuriko remembers what the Iron Roidmude said back then at the amusement park.
"Then that means that some of the other Plain Type Roidmudes might have an easier time achieving their evolution as well if they have that same kind of data, not having to entirely rely upon the people here and seek their dark emotions instead in order to power up themselves." Krim notes grimly, adjusting his glasses.
"Hmm… I'm curious about 034 now that you two have brought this up, Krim." Yuuki turns to his charge. "How was the previous Roidmude 034? Did he manage to evolve or was he destroyed in his Plain form?"
But the bespectacled scientist merely shook his head at this.
"No, Yuuki. None of these things happened to the previous Roidmude 034. He would become part of the Reaper Legion before being destroyed." Krim explains as he learned that the previous 034 was destroyed by Kamen Rider Mach - Shijima Go.
The previous Roidmudes 013, 015, 054 and 083 also have belonged to the Reaper Units.
Both previous 034 and 054 later went up against Deadheat Mach under Medic's orders, but were destroyed alongside with their Cores by his Heat Kick Macher.
"The Reaper Legion?" Yuriko inquiries, raising an eyebrow at this.
The Reaper Legion, alternatively known as Reaper Units, was a division of remodeled and mid-evolved Plain Roidmudes of any type who perform the duty of a Reaper to eliminate unruly and/or rogue Roidmudes, replacing Mashin Chaser after Roidmude Executive Medic altered his base program to defend Roidmudes, followed by him defecting and becoming a Kamen Rider.
All of them were led by Medic, and later by Kamen Rider Gold Drive after she was rendered "mindless" by his programming.
Ultimately, a total of 24 Roidmudes, amounting to two-ninths of the 108 evil androids, were modified to join the Reaper Legion.
As Krim told Yuuki and Yuriko about the Reaper Legion, they couldn't help but wonder about their creator.
"So, do you think there's a possibility that the Medic Roidmude is also back?" Yuriko asks the scientist. "If so, do you think she will make a new Reaper Legion if the Plain Type Roidmude 009 has data of her?"
The Medic Roidmude, otherwise known as just Medic or Roidmude 009, was a female Roidmude who was able to heal other injured Roidmudes.
She appeared before an exhausted Heart in the aftermath of the failed Global Freeze, her miraculous restoration of the fallen Roidmudes gave him the joy to evolve and defeat Protodrive, causing him to see her as a Goddess.
Unlike Chase, she is able and willing to destroy a Roidmude's core, earning the title Devil from Tomari Shinnosuke.
"Perhaps? But seeing that the Reaper Legion didn't appear yet before us brings some possibilities: Either Medic is not interested or can't make a new Reaper Legion, the new Roidmude 009 might not have Medic's data and can't become her or it's because..."
The bespectacled man trailed off as Yuuki finished his line of thought:
"They might have a new Mashin Chaser or someone/something else that can fulfill the role of the Roidmudes' Reaper." The male detective deduces, earning a nod from his charge.
"Mashin Chaser… Chase… He is the one that becomes Kamen Rider Chaser. And he was the one who was supposed to be the original Drive, right?" Yuriko questions Krim.
Chase, also known as Roidmude 000 or Protozero, was Mashin Chaser(lit. "Advanced Demon Chaser"), an enforcer of the Roidmudes who deals with rogue members of their kind whilst developing a rivalry with the previous Kamen Rider Drive - Tomari Shinnosuke.
In truth, he was the first Roidmude created by Krim Steinbelt to carry out acts of justice, fighting as Kamen Rider Protodrive during the first Global Freeze before he was defeated and had his memories wiped, bending him towards the side of the Roidmudes.
Eventually, he breaks free from his brainwashing with guidance from the woman he once saved, re-aligning himself with humanity once more and becoming Kamen Rider Chaser.
"That's right, Yuriko. Protozero was the first one to take the mantle of the warrior Drive. He became Protodrive as I fought alongside him during the first Global Freeze in my previous world." Krim tells the female detective as he remembers some fond memories about his old friends and comrades from his homeworld.
"The Global Freeze… That's what we're trying to prevent, right?" Yuuki inquiries.
"Yes." The scientist confirms, nodding to him.
Global Freeze is an incident that happened on April 8, 2014, in which the Roidmudes somehow caused time to stop in Krim's homeworld.
Despite its name, the initial Heavy Acceleration phenomenon only affected a quarter of the world with the 108 Plain Roidmudes stationed at various points across the globe while the heart of the operation was quite literally centered in Tokyo, Japan, with devastating Roidmude attacks occurring at least across Japan and it's neighbors in the northern region of East Asia (North & South Korea, China, and Russia).
During this event, various cities were heavily damaged and an untold amount of civilians were injured and/or killed.
This event was eventually stopped by a friendly Roidmude who had Drive's powers and the Shift Cars, but not before Shinnosuke Tomari accidentally injured his partner in a terrible accident while on the job.
But this was actually a setup by Tenjuro Banno, once he finalized his project, stealing Krim's mind uploading tech after their partnership ended badly.
He let himself be killed by Roidmudes and uploaded his mind and then sent them on a rampage across the globe, which involved killing Krim and those who still defy his 'genius' as a warning.
"Mashin Chaser… Chase… Is there really a possibility that he is also back? Will he be another possible enemy we will have to be careful with? Or will he return as Kamen Rider Chaser and aid humanity?" Yuriko questions aloud as she looks at the other two.
"Who knows… As I said before, I still can't be sure if not only Protozero, but also some of the Roidmude Executives like Heart, Brain and Medic will return to face us as well..." Krim answers her grimly.
Yeah, nobody could truly say, for now, about what the future has in store for any of them...
The Closing Screen of this chapter shows the Cobra Viral Core, Shift Next, Next Hunter and Volt Charger side by side with the logo of Kamen Rider Dark Drive behind them.

Author Notes:
Thank you for reading!
This chapter was done to represent the aftermath of Kamen Rider Dark Drive's fight against the Roidmudes and the consequences of it. Because he is a vigilante, the MC can't technically be praised for his actions.
I wanted to give Pony and Itsuka a chance to interact with Yuuki and Yuriko, with the Kamen Rider being brutally honest with the former and using logic to explain why he can get away with 'murdering' Roidmudes without getting into trouble for that.
And Nezu is the one revealed to have received Kamen Rider Lupin's 'Calling Card'. What is the principal about to find out?
Lastly, Yuuki, Yuriko and Krim talk with each other and form their own theories about how the new Roidmudes' chain of command works in the MHA world.
That said, I probably won't make use of the Roidmudes' Reaper Legion since Medic won't appear in this story.
If you guys have any suggestions that I could use for this new potential story idea, you're free/welcome to share!
Question(Please answer this in the Reviews if possible):
[Any suggestions for a Shift Car themed after a food truck? What its name and powers could be? I got the inspiration to try creating a new one upon checking the review that some of you left for me. What about a Shift Car that uses the power of soundwaves and/or music?]
[I learned that there is a Toy-Exclusive Shift Cars called Shift Colorful Colorful, a Bandai apparel-exclusive. Since it's a 'canon' one, I would like to make use of it. What should its ability be?]
[Reviewer Austin offered me a suggestion about making a canine companion for Kamen Rider Dark Drive. Something similar to Batman having Ace the Bat-Hound. Since the protagonist is a police detective, I was thinking about creating something similar to a robot K-9 dog, something like Murphy K9 from Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger. Do you think this is a good or a bad idea? Do you think the main character needs all the help he can get? Or should he contend with the Shift Cars and the NEXTridoron's support until the other Riders debut?]
Review Time!
Guest DCDGojira: Thanks!
Ok, I will check the review in my other story later.
There's no need to make a cover for my fanfics, it's fine. But thanks for offering anyways.
Dr. KRC PhD: Thanks!
Kamen Rider Dark Drive will probably have a hard time dealing with public opinion due to his acts as a vigilante and the way he deals with the Roidmudes, pretty much 'murdering' them sometimes in front of other people. It doesn't help either that he fights back against the Pro Heroes that try to detain him, beating almost anyone that gets in his way.
Yeah, I wanted to give a reason as to why the MC wouldn't resort to Heavy Acceleration unless he has no other choice.
Yup, Kamen Rider Lupin will be a rival for the protagonist. But he won't become a major antagonist. The Phantom Thief's role in this story will be of someone that likes to 'play and mess around' with others, getting on the nerves of society. He will probably be a troll/jester/trickster/prankster.
For'Sleepy: Yes.
Ok, I don't mind if you were unable to answer my questions this time.
It's okay if you don't know much about Kamen Rider.
I don't have a plan to make a powerful villain appear in the MHAverse that forces all the other Kamen Riders to show up as well. However, I do have plans to perhaps make some 'crossover arcs' in this fanfic, where certain Kamen Riders from other realities will show up to interact with the main cast.
#2nd/3rd review: Alright, let's see...
1- Those suggestions sound like an interesting use for Dabi's character. Maybe I could even make him turn into a Fusion Evolved Roidmude, with him also not feeling any possible drawbacks his [Cremation] Quirk causes on his body.
2- Not sure what exactly do you mean by asking about these other four characters. Maybe I will give them some character development and a different fate. Do you have any suggestions about how I can make use of them?
LimX23: Thanks! And I don't mind about the same review appearing twice.
Thank you for answering my questions. This will help me later develop some of the next chapters.
As for ships and romance, I have no idea how I will fully explore this concept during my story. There will be no harems in this fanfic. Most of the couples you mentioned will be definitely formed. But what surprised and confused me were the 6th and 7th ships. Like, really? These last two are the only ones I can't see happening at all because the mentioned characters barely interacted amongst them to form an affectionate bond between them.
Kamenmaximus: Thanks! Maybe I can make use of your ideas in the future.
Toa Solaric: Thanks!
I will try to make the new Roidmude Executives(leaders) dangerous, with Roidmudes from 001 to 009 being part of this category and the main enemies for Kamen Rider Dark Drive. And The Reaper Legion Roidmudes probably won't appear in this story since Medic will be absent along with Heart and Brain.
And Kamen Rider Lupin will show up very soon!
And yeah, this chapter showed our protagonist destroying the Roidmude Core in front of Itsuka and Pony, with the aftermath of this action coming later in this same chapter.
starwing1995: That actually sounds cool! Maybe it could be a Shift Car that works like a Neo Viral Core?
Austin: Thanks!
Alright, let's see...
1- Yep, the Roidmude was destroyed in front of Itsuka and Pony.
2- Yeah, maybe Krim/Belt-san could do something to help Eri control her Quirk. But I'm not sure yet if it will be better than having Aizawa around to nullify any problem with his [Erasure] Quirk.
3- As for the Ace idea. I'm starting to form an idea where I will use another child around Eri's age where only Yuuki/Dark Drive will be capable of saving them.
4- That tragic idea with Mashin Chaser or a Roidmude connecting with someone also seems promising. I was maybe thinking of making an arc to show that not all Roidmudes become evil, with some of them taking pity on the people with unfortunate lives in the MHAverse. I also watched Beast Wars, so the episode you mentioned sounds like a good reference.
5- Maybe I can make a situation where the protagonist has to take a pregnant woman, who is about to give birth, to a hospital, but some of the Pro Heroes try to get in the way because they believe his arrest should take priority. No point in making an ambulance-themed Shit Car since we already have Mad Doctor to possibly do what you suggested.
6- The dog sidekick idea sounds interesting! But I wouldn't use an animal with a Quirk since they are rare(and could become a giveaway to the MC's secret identity) and because I want everyone on Team Drive to not have superpowers and only rely on their gadgets, training and wits. But maybe I could make use of someone like Murphy K9 from Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger.
7- Not sure exactly about what to comment in regards to this other subject. But I really can't tell much since I have no idea at all about Halo's Master Chief and Doom's Doom Guy's stories and lore. So I won't be of much use in regards to how to suggest/create a possible story involving them and Tokusatsu elements, but I can certainly expect a lot of violent clashes between the 'good guys', at the very least, due to their conflicting ideals.
But it probably won't be as bad as in cases like the MHA anime, DC/Justice League and the Marvel/Avengers cartoon universes where the Super Heroes try to not kill the bad guys.
I can clearly expect to see the Villans' hatred power 'bullshit' being exploited to make the super soldiers struggle a lot. Heck, even the 'power of bonds' that some of the Tokusatsu Heroes use as well can be applied to this situation. So I can't truly come to say that Doom Guy and Master Chief will easily have their way in the many Japanese realities of the Tokusatsu Worlds. They might end being feared, but not considered invincible, I guess?
8- Thanks! And take care of yourself as well!
New Shift Car Id: Ok, thanks! Maybe your ideas can somehow help me later.
But I don't see the point of making Emergency Ambulance since Shift Mad Doctor already exists. Maybe this idea could be used to upgrade Mad Doctor into something like Shift Get Mad Doctor.
[Shift Get Mad Doctor is a hypothetical cosmetic upgrade of Shift Mad Doctor, following the example set by Shift High Speed and Shift Mega Max Flare.
As with the majority of the "upgraded" Shift Cars, Get Mad Doctor exists only as a sound programmed into the DX Drive Driver.]
TheOkWriter: That happens sometimes, some Roidmude Cores might prove to be harder to destroy than others. This is even shown in the Kamen Rider Drive series.
prayogatama52f5: Thanks for answering my questions, this will help me later!
But I couldn't understand your first answer. What about Izuku giving up his dream of becoming a hero? Because the doctor is indeed the same one that told Deku about that and his Quirkless condition.
Ok, I also appreciate that you clarified some things. The information you told me can maybe help me as well eventually.
Guest: Yep, Mei will become fascinated with the Kamen Rider System, trying to understand and replicate it. Only to end failing as she will sometimes try to approach Dark Drive and the other Kamen Riders to inspect their equipment and technology, but they will not give her time to do so. Maybe she will have a minor role as their stalker.
memento mori unus annus: Maybe. I will have to think about it.
Vinegar Bottle: Ok, thanks! Maybe your ideas can somehow help me later.
D3lph0xL0v3r: Thanks!
Thanks for answering my questions as well, this will help me later!
Yep, Kamen Rider Dark Drive pretty much killed a Roidmude Core, without hesitation, in front of Itsuka and Pony. This might leave some emotional scars on the girls.
Kamen Rider Lupin will debut very soon.
SynchroRegis: Thanks!
Yeah, it's exactly just as you said. It's dangerous to let the Roidmude alive.
And so, the protagonist pretty much killed 034's Core, without hesitation, in front of Itsuka and Pony. And this might leave some emotional scars on the girls as a result.
Obsidian Nova Arc: Yeah, the public will be pretty much shocked if they ever come to find out that Kamen Rider Dark Drive is a Quirkless vigilante that mainly relies on his training, wits and equipment.
Melissa will see some inspiration and hope when she learns about the protagonist and the other Riders' true abilities.
Exactly, Krim/Belt-san and the Core Driviar technology can't fall on the wrongs, it's a perfect recipe for disaster. Re-Destro and the Meta Liberation Army will be amongst the ones that will definitely want the Rider System the most, no matter what they have to do.
Yep, Kamen Rider Dark Drive pretty much killed a Roidmude Core, without hesitation, in front of Itsuka and Pony. This might leave some emotional scars on the girls.
All For One will be definitely shocked when he learns the truth about Dark Drive's powers.
No, I will later show why Mental Quirks won't work on Dark Drive because he has Belt-san supporting him. But the same can't be said for the other Riders(because they lack a support AI like Belt-san) and normal Quirkless people.
Stain's [Bloodcurdle] Quirk also works the same way on every one that is Quirkless. However, he won't have much success with the Riders because their suits/armor protects them, making it impossible for the Hero Killer to make them bleed(with his normal swords and knives) without finding a way to force them out of their transformation first.
Kamen Rider Lupin will be a rival for the protagonist. But he won't become a major antagonist, nor work with the Roidmudes or organizations like the League of Villans. The Phantom Thief's role in this story will be of someone that likes to 'play and mess around' with others, mainly getting on the nerves of the Hero Society. He will probably be a troll/jester/trickster/prankster most of the time. And yes, Lupin will have some new personal Shift Cars and Viral Cores for his use only.
Fanreader365: Your input sounds useful, thanks! I had the same thought about some of the Shift Cars' ideas. Ok, I will take some of your observations into consideration.
BlazeBlade: Thanks!
Yeah, the U.A. staff got surprised once they learned that the vigilante was fighting before their entrance.
The protagonist pretty much killed 034's Core, without hesitation, in front of Itsuka and Pony. And this might leave some emotional scars on the girls as a result.
Well, some Roidmude Cores might prove to be harder to destroy than others. This is even shown in the Kamen Rider Drive series.
Yes, but it's not like I'm immediately going to use the new original Shift Cars that I want to create. I will take my time to create new ones.
#2nd review: Yeah, I'm still not sure about when exactly Eri should meet Team Dark Drive. I was thinking about this happening before the Hideout Raid Arc, but maybe I can make her meet the Kamen Riders later. Not sure yet.
Magical Girls, wtf? I honestly have no idea how I could exploit them into a story.
Would it be a Quirk that makes people transform into Magical Girls? Because if so, you should check out Emma Iveli's Quirk: Magical Girl Mascot fanfic story.
D3ADPOOLK1d: Thanks! And maybe some of your ideas will help me later!
So, what do you guys think? Please give me some reviews if possible.
