The first impression Fubuki made wasn't as pleasant as her previous experience as the Admiral girl was a strange human being whereas here, this Admiral is a ghost.

The shipgirls here don't help as it reminded her of how she defeated multiple abyssals alone which led her to be distanced by her older comrades.

The only option she has is to act like her old self and play it cool.

While investigating the base itself, Fubuki stops and is watching a couple of archers firing their targets as it reminded Fubuki of carrier training.

"Akagi-senpai…" Whispered Fubuki.

The very same Akagi who trains the carriers altogether is now working with Kaga, but she seems more calmer than before.

Before Fubuki approaches Akagi and Kaga, a hand has caught Fubuki from coming out of the bush.

"Fubuki-san! What are you doing?" Mutsuki hissed.

"Mutsuki-chan? Yuudachi-chan?" Fubuki encountered a couple of destroyers who're following her behind the bush.

"Well, Mutsuki-chan dragged me into it, so… Yeah." Yuudachi shrugged her shoulders as she too was wondering why Fubuki left after her introduction.

"Have you ever wondered if Akagi-senpai is okay with talking to a newbie like me?"

"Is she really your senpai, poi?" Yuudachi asked.

"Maybe she's really experienced." Mutsuki pointed out Fubuki's behaviour towards Akagi.

After the trio stood up, surprise the trio were a couple of carriers in front of them, Akagi and Kaga.

"The first carrier division!" Mutsuki exclaimed.

"P- Poi! Let's get out of here!" Yuudachi followed as both destroyers left Fubuki alone.

Afterwards Fubuki approaches the duo as her green eyes are staring at both Akagi and Kaga.

"Akagi, what is this potato doing staring at us like that?" Kaga asked.

"Eh!? I'm not a potato!" Fubuki complained, despite being unfazed by any insults, she couldn't handle being called a potato.

Before Akagi said something, Kaga raised her arm and went a little closer to Fubuki.

"So I heard rumours about you. I must say, you could be interesting." Kaga smirked as she could see what's behind Fubuki.

"Really? Well… I fought for a long time." Fubuki isn't wrong as she fought in her own experiences for many years.

"So Teitoku managed to assign a veteran. I bet rumours said that you're a special one."

"I was a special type of destroyer." Fubuki laughed as she cheered up a little.

"Then I hope we can fight in the same fleet someday. Maybe we can see each other again at Mamiya-san's place." Akagi grabs Fubuki's hands as she smiles at her, and is also interested in Fubuki's records.

"Akagi-senpai…"

To Fubuki's eyes: Akagi is Akagi, a gluttonous one who was a genuine carrier along with Kaga.

"Ah! My friends are waiting for me! Gotta go!" Fubuki exclaimed as she rushed away from a couple of carriers.

Akagi sighed as she could see the potential in Fubuki as well as her fighting alongside her.

"So I'm her senpai. Hm? I see you're interested in Fubuki-san?" Akagi asked as she could see through Kaga's eyes.

"Well, you could say that those eyes had seen everything. I'm sure she could be in the same dorm as me once we're moving for the event." Kaga answered with confidence. "Green eyes. I'll remember that potato face."

"But she said she's not a potato."

"I know. It's not like I'm insulting her or anything. And besides, I like her, unlike that certain carrier who's annoying." Kaga calmly sighs as her smile slowly fades.

"Come on, Kaga, I'm sure Zuikaku didn't mean anything harsh towards you."

Kaga sighed again as she returned to training shooting out her planes from her bow.

In the middle of the ocean.

Opening her eyes is a tall pale woman, Midway Princess, as she witnessed herself entering along with Licorice, the Airfield Princess.

"Ah. I see Nisshin sent you at the same time as me." Midway asked.

"Eh!? I thought you're there earlier! So where are we?" Licorice asked.

Midway's answer is this, "Remember when the abyssal base was here in 2014?"

"Not really?"

"That's because we don't have one to begin with."

Afterwards, splash!

Both Airfield and Midway are stuck in the middle of nowhere as they're floating themselves to the surface.

"Oh yeah. We are only installations, neither of us can float." Sighed Midway.

"Speak for yourself! I CAN'T SWIM!" Licorice screams as she's drowning. "And how the hell are you still able to float after eating so much, you fatass!?"

"Dunno. Maybe I learned how to swim."

"Wait!"

The duo halts as they're hearing nothing but seagulls cawing in the cloudy sky.

"Where do we come from?" Licorice asked.

"If they assume it's under the sea, then they're mistaken. I was formerly a carrier."

"I'm a natural born abyssal. Maybe there's another me that's formerly a kanmusu."

As the sky turns dark, both abyssals are staring at the sky as it never happened before.

"Um… Is the sky supposed to be like that?"

Midway then shrugged her shoulders as she too doesn't remember the weather being like this.

"And it's freezing! Why in the world is it stormy in summer!?" Licorice exclaimed.

"Dunno. Mother nature probably hates us. It's karma for murdering the innocents."

"Huh!? Well excuse me! But I can't help myself when I'm craving bloodshed!"

As the duo witnessed what's going on below them, something is rising from the sea as it's not just one, but a horde.

"WHAT THE HELL!? WE DO NOT COME FROM UNDER THE SEA! WE'RE NOT SUBMARINES!" Licorice was enraged as she still refused to believe that they're sea creatures.

So many moans and groans turned towards both princesses as they witnessed both Licorice and Midway having their heads on the surface.

"Why are none of them smiling?" Licorice's tone had turned flat as she realised that 2014 is a nightmare for her to handle.

"Because we're a manifestation of kanmusus' depression, so of course they felt that way." Yet again, Midway answered before one of the abyssal bosses arrived. "Anchorage…"

The Anchorage Princess pulls both Licorice and Midway from the sea and seats them in a Wa-class transport ship.

"You know it's okay to speak to us, Ancho." Midway calls out.

"Ah… Sorry…" The Anchorage Princess apologised.

"It's okay. You, Ru, what's the status report?"

"Uuuuuuaaaah…" A Ru-class did an inaudible moan which had both Licorice and Midway question what she was talking about.

"Uh… What?"

"They cannot speak. None of them can." Said the Anchorage Princess.

"What!? But normally, they can speak, smile, eat, sleep and partying as well as thinking for themselves!" Midway protested.

"NOOOOOOOOOOO! YOU CURSED HEAVEN! YOU TOOK AWAY THEIR VOICES!" Licorice screamed at the sky.

"Like you said earlier, we're a manifestation of their depression." Said Anchorage.

"Who would've thought…" As Midway kept her cool after Anchorage's revelation, Licorice screams and runs her motormouth about how this world sucks and why it needed to burn.

On the bright side, the duo are about to move all the way to Hawaii in order to find their location.

As Midway turns towards Licorice, Licorice is found with a random boulder and prays for her comrades' emotions.

"Here lies the abyssal happiness, they were taken away by Nisshin."

"Don't blame her! Ignore my comrade, there's one thing I must request of you, Ancho."

"Which is?" Curious as Anchorage is going to do Midway's bidding.

"Kill Fubuki. She's the reason why our side is struggling to sink the enemy. She's their secret weapon." Midway answered.

"So you want me to sink a destroyer? Well, this'll be easy." Anchorage chuckles.

"Unfortunately, She's not as easy as you think. She had many years of fighting experience, so be careful. You don't wanna get eaten alive again." Midway's tone is getting quieter as it caught Anchorage's attention.

"Huh?"

"Nothing. Good luck. Also, could you not change the weather? You know none of us do that, right."

"Ah, you see, I can't help myself. You two are lucky to fight under daylight, sunset and night times. Sorry about that."

"It's okay."

After their chat, the duo are off with a Wa-class.

While a Wa-class is boosting all the way to Hawaii, Licorice turns towards Midway and clears her throat.

"So, I heard you're running a boot camp?"

"Indeed I was. We're going to train them and make them stronger than what they currently are. We'll make them eat, study, train and do what humans do nowadays." Said Midway.

"Looks like I'm joining the party. Training those brainlets is going to be a pain." Licorice sighed. "I was thinking about finger banging, but I don't think this world allowed me to."

"Easy for you to say. Even my body feels a lot heavier than before when I got here. I can't be physical and agile here." Midway stretches her arm as they're heavy by her shoulders.

Finally, the duo arrives as they're heading towards Hawaii.

Midway's plan is to pull up a boot camp for abyssals as she wanted to do some training like Fubuki's except going either the extra mile of being less harsher.

In other words, counterattack.
