Note: I'm very well aware of the lore of Azur Lane, but I was thinking about writing my first fanfic about it.
Enjoy.

With Technology getting more and more advanced, the [Sirens] are coming out of their nests as they've been used by both Japanese and German warships for their technology.

It's what caused the creation of [Azur Lane] run by [commander Manjuu] after he hired the USA as the [Eagle Union] and the UK, renamed as the [Royal Navy] after the birth of the new generation warship girls.
Who or what funded the [Azur Lane] and why are they attempting to end a longtime war.

XXX1 April 1st
[Sirens'] plans have backfired and the never ending war is about to break as a war between mankind and Sirens is nearly coming to an end.
Unless they're expanding more time in order to win this.
In the end…
Mankind is fighting back.
The base is dark.
???
The base is so high tech, that it's actually science fiction.
The sound of it is quiet.
Finally…
A long silvery blue haired girl with tentacles around her sighed as she knew what happened to them for many years.
"I guess our operation backfired, huh?"
"Oh, please! It's your fault that our timeline is messing with our operation!" Another silver haired girl hissed.
"Hm? You mean your arrogance has caused humanity to fight against our comrades. I can tell it's your fault."
"You little…"
"Be quiet."
A voice behind the curtain called as he or she sounded ominously calm.
"Regardless of changing the Pacific war to the future, both of you are at fault for not looking out for humanity."
"And I thought they're stupid." A girl with the hammerhead shark said.
"I didn't realise that humans are smarter than we thought. Guess we underestimated them." A tentacle girl sighed again.
"But at least I get to face these kansens from the Azur Lane!"
"Indeed you do."
"As long as we have enough technology and power to boost our manpower, the future will be ours."
A cube was dropping right in front of them as it's still glowing blue.
The hammerhead shark girl asked. "So, in other words…"
"Evolution and their souls."

Azur Lane
A base near the Pacific Ocean is quiet, giving a peaceful vibe and atmosphere as the seagulls are cawing under the orange sky.
The time is 18:20.
Azur Lane consists of having the Eagle Union and the Royal Navy, but due to the new enemy they face, the Sakura Empire and the Iron Blood are joining forces with the Azur Lane to defeat those called the Sirens.
As of today, a yellow bird in a hat is panicking about the results of what happened to the ships.
"This is bad! This is bad!"
"Calm down, Teitoku! I'm sure the girls are okay." A middle aged Chinese man, who was the Commander, called his Admiral of a bird.
"But, what if the Sirens had actually got them!? Not only the base is doomed, but the whole world is done for!" The Admiral, Manjuu shouted.
After the duo worried about their ships being the victims of a siren attack, a bunch of silhouettes are approaching towards the naval staff duo, leading a bunch of them to a young girl in a middle school uniform as she's actually a young teen.
"Shikikan!" A voice of a silver haired one, USS Enterprise called as she's along with IJN Akagi, IJN Atago, HMS Belfast, KMS Bismarck and USS Cleveland in a heavily damaged state.
"Guten tag, Shikikan." Bismarck grunts as she does a single wave.
"Guys!" The Commander gasped with surprise.
"GIRLS! I know you're still alive!" Manjuu cries with excitement, then stops as he witnesses a young girl carrying both Atago and Belfast. "Huh? Hey, Shikikan, who's that?"
"Mei?"
"Uncle!? Erm… This isn't what it looks like!" A young girl, Long Mei, exclaimed while caught by her uncle who was the Commander of Azur Lane.
"She's right, Shikikan-sama. Your niece has saved us from sinking." Atago grunts as she slowly pushes herself up.
"Ufufu… Looks like Shikikan-sama's jealous that I took a liking to your niece more than you." Akagi giggled.
"Hey! Don't be rude to your Shikikan!" Manjuu shouted.
"Forgive them, Teitoku, Shikikan. But I'm sure this Mei girl is willing to work here." Belfast suggested.
"Oh! Just like in the game! Can I, uncle!?" Mei asked.
"But, Mei…"
Before the Commander made a protest, Manjuu leaped in front of the Commander at a hasty pace.
"Sure thing!"
"Teitoku!?" Exclaimed the Commander.
"Look, Azur Lane is dying and we're the only two left to run this place. Besides, you're about to retire soon. Don't worry, we'll get her prepared to be Shikikan material." Said Manjuu as he tried his best to keep this base alive.
"What about other people out there in the USA? China? Japan? Germany? England?"
"Relax, Shikikan! If the kid wants to stay, then let her stay." Cleveland seconded the decision of letting Mei stay in Azur Lane.
"I know there's no other choice. But if anything happens to Mei, then we'll deal with those who hurt her. As the Eagle Union carrier, I stand for Justice." Said Enterprise while holding the Commander's hands.
"Also Atago-chan did a lot of work. So we should give her credit for that." Akagi sighed.
As the votes are in…
Mei has now decided to stay in Azur Lane, even at the age of 12, near on her 13th birthday.
Then the Commander smiled and pat Mei's head.
"Alright. Just to let you know, this war ain't no fun and games. Whatever you do, be careful."
"Okay, uncle." Mei salutes both Manjuu and her uncle with a smile.
"Now I need to let your parents know about this… They're not gonna be happy about a minor like you joining the navy." The Commander grumbles out of worriness.
Finally the girls from this base are up for some major repairs as well as getting some medical attention altogether.
Then Manjuu flies as he puts a hat on Mei's head and salutes.
"Then welcome to Azur Lane, where you can work in the most advanced, yet dying, navy in the Pacific Ocean. You're now the Shikikan of this base, Mei Long."
"Yeah! Thank you, Teitoku Manjuu!" Mei is determined to continue her uncle's work by keeping Azur Lane's base up and running along with Manjuu.
"Now that you're our Shikikan-sama, will you pick Akagi-sama to be your secretary ship?" Akagi asked while drawing a smug smile on her face.
Unfortunately for Akagi, Enterprise swings her fist by pushing Akagi to the ground as hard as she could.
"Who says you can be the secretary ship!? I'm the most fitting of this position."
"You think you can take Shikikan-sama all to yourself, you hypocrite!? I'm still not finished with you after the battle of Midway!" Akagi growled as her feral instincts had activated.
"Oh? Do you still want revenge? How about it, psycho fox!" Enterprise pulled out her bow and arrow with a glare, hoping to see Akagi's sink again.
"Bring it, bird brain!" Akagi carries all her red shikigami papers with a glare, waiting to make a comeback by murdering Enterprise.
As both Akagi and Enterprise start their brawl, Cleveland, Belfast, Atago and Bismarck sighed as their comrades are still at each other's throats again.
"Okay, maybe we'll start tomorrow, once they're finished fighting each other." Said Manjuu as he, Mei and the Commander remained quiet about the duo's fight to the death.
In the end and the beginning, Mei is now the Commander and the beginner of the Azur Lane with the ones she met like a small group.
