"KYAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"ALICE!" Jack screamed after witnessing a horrific view of what happened to Alice.

"No... It can't be... She went 'Blood Skelter!?'" Akazukin (Little Red Riding Hood) gasped in horror after seeing Alice's transformation.

A splash of pink liquid, known as "marchen's blood," has exploded into a bunch of energy which goes into Alice's body and her sword in return, turning her into an omnicidal maniac.

"Alice! Please! Snap out of it!" Jack yelled out as Alice had already lost her mind.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"It's no use! She's gone... Alice... She's no longer here! What we're facing is a manifestation of a nightmare!" Akazukin warns Jack about Alice's state as she's not Alice anymore.

"No... NO! I will save her no matter what!" Jack refuses to believe what Alice has become.

"You idiot! What are you doing!?"

Inside Alice's vision is a couple of crimson silhouettes in a pink background and hears a distorted voice through her ears.

"Alice! It's me, Jack! Come on, I know you can fight it!" Jack calls Alice in order to calm her down and all Alice thinks about is kill, kill and kill.

Akazukin hadn't much time left; if Jack makes contact with an animal like Alice, then it's game over. Glancing to her right, a fence looks like it's waiting to be cut as Akazukin raised her giant scissors and took a huge snip on the fence.

"Alice?"

"HRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!"

"No you don't!" Akazukin blocks Jack with her scissors and swings her legs by kicking a Blood Skelter towards the wall. "Let's go!" Carrying Jack by his waist, Akazukin, hastily dashed away from Alice which led Jack to fight back against her.

"No! Wait! ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE!" Jack yells while reaching his arm towards Alice, but is unfortunately safe from a monster like her.

Aside from being safe from Alice, Jack and Akazukin are now in the middle of nowhere in Jail.

"LET ME GO! ALICE! Please!" Jack pleaded and begged her to let go and take him back to Alice.

"I'm sorry..." Akazukin bursts into tears as well as Jack.

And they made it safely.

A few hours later, Jack and Akazukin are camping at a spot where no marchens will come at an abandoned cell. Jack is cornering himself with depression after losing his childhood friend to a Blood Skelter. Akazukin is standing by the cell door while calling on her phone.

"Yes, Dad. I've lost our target..."

[Oh... I guess you'll come back empty handed.]

"But I got her friend!"

[Really? What her friend's name?]

"Oh him? Well... His name is Jack.

[Jack, hm... Take him to the Dawn.]

"Eh? For real? Um... Sure... I'll be tomorrow."

[Yes, bye.]

"See ya later."

Hanging up on her phone, Akazukin is concerned by Jack's dinner that she left for him to eat.

"Huh? You not hungry?"

Jack stays silent ever since they started camping. Jack already knows who he missed and he wishes to share that fate rather than seeing Alice disappear right in front of his eyes.

"I know... It sucks that Alice has become that state. But we can't just give up! I mean, Miko is working on how to save us all. I'll tell you who Miko is once we're at Dawn." Akazukin takes a seat next to Jack and lets him lay on her lap.

"You smell funny..." Jack mumbles while laying on Akazukin's lap.

"Hm? Well, I've been killing marchens every day, that's why us Blood Maidens take showers all the time." Akazukin explains her lifestyle to Jack as well as her rotten smell of marchen blood.

Akazukin then strokes Jack's head to soothe his pain and struggles he's going through for a long time. She can feel his pain as of how it feels to lose a friend to a Blood Skelter.

As safe as they are, they still aren't safe since Jail is crawling with marchens and nightmares. And then a Blood Skelter is on the loose.

"Hm? Your finger, Jack." Akazukin has caught a glimpse of Jack's pointing finger, which has a cut.

"Huh? Oh... I'm bleeding. I'll be fine." Jack looks at his own finger like he wasn't bothered by what happened to him.

"Nah, I'll make it better!" Cheerfully offering to help, Akazukin pulls up Jack's arm and puts his finger in her mouth.

"Eh? Eh!? Akazukin!? What are you doing!?" Jack shivers in shock as Akazukin sucks and licks his bleeding finger so it can slow down. "Huh? Your eyes, they're not pink anymore." Jack has caught a glimpse of Akazukin's irises that are no longer pink, but are now green.

"Really?" Akazukin slides to look in a mirror to see about her eyes. "Heh, that happens a lot." Akazukin laughs while bonking her own head and lays down in relaxation. "Phew! Tomorrow, we're heading straight to Dawn."

"But where is Dawn?" Jack asked while turning his head slowly to Akazukin.

"Once we're at the exit, then I'll take you there. Remember the liberated district? It's out there." Akazukin answers by slowly closing her eyes, let alone resting for tomorrow's journey to exit.

"Oh... Thanks." Jack looks at the moon which is blue for sleepiness, making Jack a little drowsy as well. "Huh?"

Jack then sees Akazukin snoozing after telling him about the Dawn's place and where it's at. 'It's the perfect time to rest, even if it hurts, it's better than being stuck imprisoned by marchens.' Jack thought in his head.

There's nothing he can do to come back.

The next day, a whole dungeon is brightening as the sun rises through a dark fog. It creates a bright light all over the wonderland themed jail, disturbing a slumber.

Then it's a clear morning sky, considering the jail is still alive and yawning so quietly. Even the marchen army are waking up and going on about their jobs like torturing humans, but forgot that they've already escaped.

Jack slowly opens his eyes as the sun shines brightly on his vision which leads him to cover himself from the blinding light.

"Mmn… Morning? Huh? It's bright." Jack mumbles after seeing a cloudy sky and a very bright sun being the centre of the sky.

Pins and needles are on Jack's back after yesterday's camping with Akazukin. Jack knows that it's worth it after being stuck in one isolated box full of cells.

"Good morning." An adult calls while Jack stretches himself and yawns out of his slumber.

"Haah… Morning…" Jack rubs his eyes while replying to a stranger's voice.

Then freeze as Jack turns his head to the left and stares at a lanky looking man with a huge backpack. His skin is unusual like he went out on his longest journey or he fell into some mud or he's in a lot of pain.

"Heh!? Wh-... Who're you?"

"Hehe! I'm sorry, kid. I was given a request to give you something." Said the unknown traveller who arrived at the camping spot out of nowhere.

"What? Give me something?" Jack asked out of curiosity and confusion.

"Yep." The traveller put his hand through his large bag while finding an item made out of fabric. "Ah! Here you go!" Giving out some clothing to Jack, a traveller offered him something meaningless, yet comfortable for Jack to wear.

"Um… Thanks." Jack had given a man some gratitude, despite being a burden to Akazukin.

"You're welcome, kid. I must be off, hehehe." Finally, the traveller takes off away from the cell where Jack and Akazukin slept.

Speaking of Akazukin, where did she go?

Jack was left alone again, thinking that Akazukin was preparing or was on a journey to capture a missing Blood Skelter.

Then he was carrying his new clothes while walking all the way out of the cell, following the tracks as well as some glowing pink tracks of blood.

"Akazukin? What is she doing? Is she doing this to make me go pass? Or is she killing those marchens?" Jack said to himself as he shook his head and clapped his cheeks. "Get it together, Jack! At least you're still alive… Alice…"

Worrying about Alice, Jack then moves forward as he forgets about changing his rags into his proper clothes.

While it's still early morning with sunrise, Jack then follows the tracks as he's escaping an empty dungeon.

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" The jail roared.

"Ngh! Shut up…" Covering his ears as Jack makes a run for it.

Until… A silhouette jumps in and yanks Jack by hugging him from behind.

"Ah! Let… Go! WAH!"

"Woah!" A girl's voice exclaimed.

Then SPLASH!

The feeling that Jack had landed on is something hot and watery like a bath (which dampened his rags), mixed with something soft and bouncy.

"Ugh… Eh!?" Jack can feel the squishiness of a woman's breast as Akazukin was lying bare naked on a tub of hot water. "AH! A- Akazukin!? I'm sorry!"

"Jack? Ahaha… It's nothing!" Akazukin grinned as she's thinking about what Jack needed.

After the accident, Akazukin had caught a glimpse of a towel that was left behind her, meaning it dropped off of her head.

Jack leaped from the bath as he's about to pick up his new clothes from the floor and take off.

"U- Um… I'll leave you alone so… Huh?"

"Don't go… Please." Akazukin meekly said as she groped Jack's wrist. "C- Could you please, take a bath with me?" Akazukin asked as her mood drastically changed.

"Eh?" Jack is confused.

Reluctantly, he accepted as Jack then took off his rags and then put himself in a large tub, revealing his scarred body while covering his privates.

'So Jail has a hot spring, huh? I guess that's the only plus side of things.' Jack thought.

The duo are sitting back to back after Akazukin put the towel back on her head and blushed.

"Hey, Jack. I know it's all sudden, but don't tell anyone about my secret."

"What do you mean?" Jack has become curious to know what Akazukin's secret is.

Fighting herself, Akazukin is holding her breath as she's about to take a deep breath.

"I just… I'm not great without a hood. I'm just anxious without it." Akazukin admitted.

"Oh? I didn't know that." Jack is surprised as he'll keep that in mind. "Then I won't tell anyone about it."

"Hehe. Thanks." Her smile has returned.

After their bath in City Streets, Akazukin stretches herself as she's prepared in her clothes that she wore yesterday while waiting for Jack.

"Hm? Hey, looking good, Jack!" Akazukin compliments Jack's new clothes that he got from a stranger.

"Really? I don't know if it's right for me to wear this." Jack asked about his uniform that was unknowingly brought to him.

"Relax. We'll get to the Liberated District in no time! Follow me!"

Finally, Akazukin's job is to protect Jack and reach Dawn as she's holding out her large scissors.

The fight begins with 2 on all.
