(Hogwarts)
Harry was up very early being an early riser he made it to his class of the day and saw that a cat was sitting on the desk. "Hello Professor McGonagall" he said sitting in the front row and saw she wrote down the lesson and got started
The transformed professor couldn't physically show her surprise due to her feline state but marveled at the fact her student could recognize her and address her so casually, she watched him for a few moments the silence getting the better of her as her eyes dropped and she soon felt heavy breathing brush past her fur and when she opened her eyes she saw a lion cub with tiger like traits, she used her paw to rub her eyes wondering if she was seeing things and when she finished she still saw it
Harry wanted to laugh at the confusion he was getting from the cat but decided to have some fun and lunged causing the cat to shoot up to the ceiling
Minerva dropped to the ground and looked at him in shock as she transformed back "Mr Potter" she asked as the liger merely waved at her, she was now very happy and angry as she had an actual lion albeit half lion in Gryffindor and didn't like the very Marauder way of finding out
(few minutes later)
Everyone was perplexed by what they saw as they saw a liger on the teacher's desk and a cat on top of it's head and mane
"Bloody hell" Ron said walking in late
The cat saw him and tapped the liger who approached him and swiped at him making him back up even more so when the cat jumped off the liger's head
Ron got confused as the little liger began snickering before morphing into a laughing Harry as the cat became Professor McGonagall
"What was that?" Ron asked in shock
"What's the matter Ron, never seen an animagus before?" Harry asked as he got up and went to his desk
"Yes Mr Weasley it is an advanced form of transfiguration and wandless magic" Minerva said
"Yeah I'm a liger, sure I'm still growing but having a form that's the size of a dog comes in handy, trust me mom was shocked I got this and not a deer/stag like my dad" Harry said with a chuckle
"Bloody brilliant" Ron said thinking it was awesome
"Now I don't suppose the next time I should transfigure you into a pocket watch, maybe then you would be on time." Minerva said
"Sorry, got lost." Ron said to her
"Then a map perhaps, I'm certain you won't need it to find your seat" Minerva said as she walked back to her desk as Ron walked to his own
"What exactly is the difference between using Transfiguration and being an animagus anyway?" Ron asked as he sat down
"Transfiguration allows one to transform anything from an item to animals like dog to a cat to a rat, while being an animagus you're stuck with the animal you become, animals in very rare cases" Harry said
"10 points to Gryffindor for Harry's knowledge of this subject." Minerva said impressed
Harry smiled at this
(Later in potion making)
Everyone was talking to one another until Snape came through the door
"There will be no foolish wand-waving or silly incantations in this class. As such, I don't expect many of you to appreciate the subtle science and exact art that is potion making. However, for those select few… who possess the predisposition… I can teach how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses. I can tell you how to bottle fame, brew glory and even put a stopper in death." Snape said
Harry was a little on edge as his mother, sister, and Sirius warned him about the professor and to be careful on how he acted, his mother suggested to be himself, his sister said stay under the radar, and Sirius just told him to destroy his office and cause him untold hell and to do many animal things to his classroom
"Then again, maybe some of you have come to Hogwarts in possession of abilities so formidable that you feel confident enough to not pay attention." Snape said getting Harry's attention
Harry saw him look at him with a mix of contempt and an examining gaze
"Tell me Mr. Potter, what would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?" Snape asked simply
"Drought of sleeping death" Harry said to him simply
"And if I needed a bezoar?" Snape asked again
"The stomach of a goat" Harry said as he had his own bezoar on occasion
"And the difference between monkshood and wolfsbane?" Snape asked again
"They are the same plant it is also called aconite" Harry said to him
"Hmm, at least you know enough to study at home." Snape said before he continued on with his lesson
It wasn't long before class ended and everyone left but Harry stayed and walked up to Snape's desk
"I don't suppose your hearing is impaired" Snape said not looking up from his papers
"You went to school with my parents didn't you" Harry asked, making him stop and look at him "Mom, dad, Uncle Sirius, everyone seems to say so many good things about them but, what do you say?" he asked
"Do you really wish to know?" Snape asked him
"Not only that but, can you train me, surely you know more about the defense against the dark arts than Quirrell does." Harry said as Sirius was always complaining about how he and his father fought with Snape
"You want me to train you, surely you can ask your own family, correct?" Snape said raising a brow as he was sure Black with all his immature responsibility could train the boy on this subject.
"I don't think he's dead and it's only a matter of time before he sends someone to finish what he started, I learn a lot at home, but I need someone who knows how to defend against the dark arts, considering you've been after the job for years you must know the subject well." Harry said
"... Your mother… was a very beautiful woman who I… had also fallen for besides James. Your father was a bully. Especially to me" Snape said to him
"I look like my father sir" Harry said as they shared a moment of silence "I know he became a good man but I am not the man he was" he said to him as the men shared a another moment of silence
"If I am to do this you must promise me no complaints, you must do as I say when and how I say it, is that clear?" Snape asked as when he taught it was do or do not there was no try.
"Crystal." Harry said
"Good, now off with you. I have papers to grade and you have a class you are late for. I will teach you, not cover for you." Snape said as he smiled seeing Harry run from his class as it would certainly show children he was still the 'scary bat' of Slytherin
(Later at the great hall)
"Eye of rabbit, harp string hum, turn this water into rum." Seamus said
"Is Seamus really trying to turn that into rum?" Harry asked Ron as it was entertaining as changing something to something else worked better if the things were similar or had similar properties
"Yeah, he managed a weak tea yesterday, until…" Ron was saying
BOOM
Everyone laughed as Seamus had black on his face and his water goblet was smoking
"That happened." Ron said before hearing a owl screech "Mail's here." he said as owls began to fly into the great hall with packages and other things of mail
Harry borrowed Ron's newspaper while Neville opened his package to show a see through sphere of some kind
"Hey Neville's got himself a remembrall." one Gryffindor kid said
"I've read about those, if the smoke turns red, it means you've forgotten something." Hermione said
"Only thing is, I can't remember what I've forgotten." Neville said
"The password" Harry said to him as Nevile snapped his fingers and the red smoke disappeared
This made some snicker
"Hey, someone broke into Gringotts." Harry said looking at the paper 'Who the bloody hell would steal from the goblins' he thought as he was good friends with them and he'd ask them first chance he got
"They insist nothing was taken, as vault 713 was emptied the very same day" Hermione read the paper
"Must've been something important." Ron said as there would be no reason to break into Gringotts other than to take something of importance
'Hagrid' Harry thought remembering seeing the giant man there
(Later at broom riding class)
The Teacher, Madame Hooch, walked through the middle of her class as they stood beside brooms
"Welcome to your first flying lesson, well what're you waiting for? Everyone stand to the left side of their broomsticks. Stick your right hand over the broom, and say, 'up'." Hooch said
"Up!" Harry said as his went immediately into his hand.
Malfoy's did the same thing on his second try
"Up!" Ron said for the upteenth time but his broom came up and smacked him in the face making Harry and others laugh "Shut up, Harry." He told his friend as rubbed his face from the hit.
Soon everyone was holding their broom
"Now that everyone has their brooms, I want you to mount it, grip it tightly. You don't want to be sliding off the end." Hooch said as the class did as told "When I blow my whistle, I want each of you to kick off the ground hard, keep your brooms steady, hover for a moment, then lean forward slightly and touch back down." she said as she counted down and blew the whistle
Suddenly Neville began to float up and up
Hooch and the others were trying to get Neville to come back down but his broom was going all over the place, he even almost flew right through the class before he got himself stuck at the end of a spear on a part of the castle by his robe
Then it tore but he caught himself on a torch before that fell off of him and he fell to the ground
"Everyone out of the way!" Hooch said as she ran over to Neville who groaned when she touched his right wrist "That's a broken wrist, tch, tch, tch, good boy, come on now. Everyone is to keep their feet firmly on the ground while I take Mr. Longbottom to the hospital wing. Understand? If I see a single broomstick in the air, the person riding it will find themselves out of Hogwarts faster than they can say, ``Quidditch." she said as she walked off with Neville
Once she was gone Draco laughed "Did you see his face? Maybe if the fat lump gave this a squeeze, he'd have remembered to fall on his fat ass." he said holding Neville's remembrall
"Give it here, Draco." Harry said firmly as he wasn't gonna let him mess with his friend
"No, I think I'll leave it somewhere Longbottom can find it." Draco said as he floated up "How 'bout on the roof?" he said, taking to the air "What's the matter, cousin? Little bit out of your reach?" He asked Harry tauntingly
"Harry, don't you dare, you heard what Madame Hooch said, besides do you even know how to fly?" Hermione said
"I do" Harry said as Nymphadora and Sirius put him on a broom the first chances they got and his mother rage when found out
He flew up to where Draco was "Give it here, Draco, or I'm gonna knock you off that broom" he said
"Is that so?" Draco taunted as when Harry flew at him Draco did a spin to dodge him "Have it your way then." he said as he then threw the remembrall
Harry firmly gripped his broom and flew after it making Draco stumble to balance himself
Professor McGonagal was looking out her window and soon saw Harry appear as he caught Neville's item 'James Potter' she thought both praising and cursing him from the grave
The Gryffindors cheered as Harry floated back down to them holding the Remembrall up
"Harry Potter." McGonagall said
'He's dead' all Gryfindor's thought as their head of house was a merciless cat when it came to punishment
"Follow me." she said
He followed her to Quirrel's class and she pulled out Oliver Wood
"Harry this is Oliver Wood, Wood, I believe I have found you a seeker." She said in excitement
Wood looked at Harry and their head of house curiously but then smiled
(Later)
"Seeker? But first years never make the house teams. You must be the youngest Quidditch player in-" Ron was saying as they walked
"A century, according to McGonagal." Harry said
"Well done, Harry, Wood's just told us." Fred said in congratulations
"Fred and George are on the team too, beaters." Ron told him
"Yeah don't worry we'll make sure you don't get bloodied my friend" George said with a grin
"Can't make any promises of course, rough game, Quidditch." Fred said
"Yeah, nobody's died in years but some will disappear occasionally." George said to him
"But they'll turn up in a month or two." Fred said as he and George walked off
"Oh don't listen to them, Harry, they're just messing." Ron said as it had been a while since that has happened
"Besides why are you worried, Quidditch is in your blood." Hermione said as she lead them the schools trophy case and showed one was awarded to a James Potter in Quidditch
"Whoa, your dad was a seeker too?" Ron said amazed
"Yeah" Harry said as Sirius showed him some pictures and he felt butterflies living up to some type of standard his father had set
They then began to return to the dorm but the staircase they were on began to turn them to another path
"Great." Harry said before they went into the corridor the staircase lead them to but saw it was dark and the statues were covered in cobwebs
"Guys, this is the forbidden third floor." Hermione said
"Let's go." Ron said as one torch lit itself as they turned around only to run into Filch's cat
"Move!" Harry said as they ran down the corridor before encountering a locked door
"That's it, we're busted." Ron said
"Oh move, Alohomora" Hermione said casting a spell making the door unlock and the trio went inside hiding from Filch
'Hagrid I'm gonna kill you' Harry thought seeing a giant 3 headed dog and fearfully turned to his liger state
The dog woke up and the three heads looked at them before growling
Hermione and Ron screamed as they ran out followed by Harry but his tail was bit by the dog
Harry screeched as he ran out of there missing the fur at the end of his tail as they ran to the entrance to the Gryffindor dorm
"You ok" Hermione asked seeing him lick his tail
"I once got my tail caught in a door, little bit like that but worse" Harry said rubbing his behind
"Ouch." Ron muttered "What are they thinking keeping something like that in a school?" he said fear still coursing through his veins
"You weren't paying attention to its feet were you?" Harry asked
"No, I was a little preoccupied with its heads, didn't you notice? There was 3!" Ron said
"It was over a trap door." Hermione said to him
'Dumbledore hides a great many things in that castle, the news about him is rubbish a lot of the times but remember a nugget of truth lies in every rumor'
'Your ancestor Phineas Black was headmaster of Hogwarts he said Headmasters and even the founding members of Hogwarts had many secrets good and bad be careful what you look for or what you may find son'
Harry was in thought remembering what Sirius and his mother told him about Dumbledore and Hogwarts
(next week)
Harry's mind had been busy as he had a million things on his mind as he trained and went to classes
"Concentrate" Snape said blasting him with multiple stinging hexes
"Quirrel" Harry asked him
"What about him" Snape asked him curiously wondering what information he could get
"There's something about him that puts me on my guard." Harry said
"That man is a mystery apparently he has survived the curse on his position for years" Snape said showing he was both curious and skeptical about Quirrell
"Weird." Harry said
"Indeed." Snape said "Now bring your focus back to this." he said to him
"Why is the position cursed?" Harry asked quickly
"Ask your ancestor" Snape said as he wasn't giving him all the answers
"My ancestor, which one?" Harry asked with a small snicker
Snape grunted hitting him with another sting "A female one" he said simply
Harry then had to focus on that thought with that in his mind
(few days later)
Harry was at dinner and was looking at the ghosts that laid within each of the houses and looked at the oldest one there who was looking at him.
"Why are you looking at Ravenclaw's ghost?" Susan asked him sitting at the Gryffindor table
"I'm wondering why she's looking at me actually" Harry said to her
"She's your ancestor she's Ravenclaw's daughter" Hermione said offering her opinion as he was her family
"She's as curious about you as you are about her" Luna said popping out of nowhere
"Luna?" Harry said in surprise
"I used an aging potion." Luna said to him as she looked at him "I made myself a year older I thought you'd need a hand with something." she said to him. "My mother was well prepared with potions" she said to him.
Harry wondered how she knew what he was gonna ask but focused on it one at a time. "She's curious about me?" He asked her.
"Yes, normally she'll only talk to me" Luna said as the ghost liked her
"If you're gonna talk to her, don't call her The Gray Lady, she hates that." Susan said to him seeing it happen to many Ravenclaw's
"Noted." Harry said as he would be civil and polite
"Yes she does prefer going by her actual name, Helena." Luna said to him
Harry just nodded to them
(1 hour later)
Harry began to follow Helena before she stopped at the entrance to a tower
"Why are you following me?" She asked him in a non angry but still stern tone which sounded like and reminded him of McGonagall
"I wanted to talk to my grandmother." Harry said flashing a smile
She turned to look at him and one could almost see the corner of her lips quirk upward for a moment. "A woman never likes to be called on her age young bird." She told him.n
"Well most women aren't as old as this castle" Harry said to her seeing her stare at him wondering if he was a dead man. "Why are you curious about me?" he asked
"Likewise child" Helena asked him
"I was wondering about the curse." Harry said seeing her eyes gain an angered look "What is it?" he asked
"Leave it alone little bird there is nothing you can do" Helena said as she moved away quickly
Harry chased after her in his liger form and soon caught up and transformed back "Wait please I need to know I think Quirrel might be involved." he said to her
Helena stopped and slowly approached him "He is a disgrace to my mother's house he is doing dark magic. It has to be the curse. It's very real." She said, sounding both sad and angry. "But if you are choosing to foolishly chase this to find the answer all you need to do is ask." She told him fading into a wall, but not before saying one last thing. "Be safe my little bird." She told him
Harry was curious as to what she meant as he got about half of that.
(few days later)
"Ravenclaw is the source of the curse?" Hermione asked curiously as it made a weird amount of sense in a way
"Or something in Ravenclaw or something linked to Ravenclaw." Harry said to her as Helena seemed to think it was weirdly personal.
"Has to be something connected to Rowena for it to make Helena so upset." Luna said to him
"That's as good as anyone's guess then" Harry said as he wondered if it was something personal.
"Could be Rowena's Diadem." Luna said
"Diadem?" Harry asked unfamiliar with that
"It's a tiara." Hermione said to him simply
"Wait I remember this" Harry said as each of the founders had items of power. "The diadem increases knowledge or something I heard." He said as he heard each ancestor had a special item they used for their field of magic.
"Who would want to put a curse on that?" Hermione asked as it sounded wonderful
"Someone who clearly didn't like Rowena" Luna said
"Or someone who wanted the power for themselves." Harry said to them
(1 hour later)
"Do you have any ideas?" Harry asked Hedwig as she seemed very smart and was a bird so he felt like she may have had some ideas.
Hedwig just looked at him and tilted her head as they walked to the roof. Hedwig always preferred high places to take off and to see the surrounding area.
"Ow" Harry said as she nipped him getting his attention as he watched her walk on the floor, something she never did.
The owl looked back at him and chirped before continuing on her way.
"Where are we going?" Harry asked her as he followed her and her head spun around to look at him as she walked forward
Then she stopped in front of a wall
Hedwig looked at him and called him
"Why are we here girl" Harry said picking her up and looked at the wall she was looking at
She simply looked at the wall chirping
"I don't see how this is going to help me find Rowena's Diadem" Harry said
Suddenly the sounds of stones moving was heard as a door appeared in front of them
Hedwig nudged him to move forward and as he did he saw what was in the room and heard her coo in pleasure as he saw…..bird seed and trapped mice
"Why am I not surprised" Harry said as he saw her jump in pleasure looking at him pleadingly. "Just go." He said to her as she went wild. "What is this place?" he asked and soon his question was answered in the form of a book appearing "Rowena Ravenclaw's diary." he said seeing her name on it and saw the entrees.
He felt self conscious of going through a woman's diary but decided to open it to see if he could get answers.
Hedwig called him as she pointed to a cage
Harry was curious as he walked up to it "Scabbers?" he asked seeing the rat
The cage soon changed as soon as Hewig landed on it and on the cage it got a name "Peter Pettigrew." it said
Hedwig cooed at him sadly as she knew what this man had done and she looked at the rat angrily
"Expecto Patronum." Harry said as a full grown liger came out. "Go find Sirius tell him I found the rat." he said as the liger roared than ran
(Few minutes later)
Dumbledore, Snape and others came as Dumbledore had Harry behind him as they looked at the caged rat as well as his parents and family
"Calm down." Andromeda said to Sirius
"Likewise Severus." Dumbledore said as he knew this was possibly the only thing the two men would agree o.
"Release him" Snape said
Nymphadora opened the cage and 'Scabbers' ran out
Minerva skillfully used her wand and transformed him back to normal. "I hope you don't use wands to transform" She said to Sirius as he informed her of his status. "This is what happens when one takes the easy way. He looks like a rat". she said to him
"Eww" Harry and Nymphadora said, seeing how rat-like Pettigrew was even as a human.
"And with you being alive this will clear any doubt anyone has of me." Sirius said
"We should kill him." Severus said to them. Pettigrew did basically help kill Lily after all. It makes Snape would want the rat roasted.
"That's not up to you Harry has the right as he caught him and Pettigrew killed his parents" Andromeda said to him
"Please, you and your father, we were good friends, he wouldn;t-" Peter was saying beggingly.
"How dare you speak to him? How dare you talk about James in front of him?!" Sirius said as he punched the rat man in the face
"Stop!" Harry said
"Harry…" Sirius said both sad to do this and angry doing it infront of him
"Bless you boy, bless you" Pettigrew said on his knees.
"Get off, call the authorities, then the dementors can go at him." Harry said
"Harry, are you sure?" Andromeda asked as she remembered the last time he was in the vicinity of a dementor.
"Just get him away from me" Harry said, not wanting to look at his parents' betrayer a moment more.
"Well at least he gave him a more severe death. " Severus said, looking at the rat.
"Yes, a dementor's kiss seems like a fitting end for you." Sirius said in satisfaction.
"Shut up!" Andromeda said as she looked at where her son had left. "I hate you", she said, looking at Pettigrew. "You caused him so much pain the dementors are a mercy compared to what I would've done suffer and know you earned your death" she said to him
"A rat who's a rat, who's gonna die like a rat, funny" Nymphadora said, trying to make a joke.
"You may return to your dormitory, Tonks." Dumbledore said to the only other student here
"To make a patronus like this at such a young age." Minerva said as she was informed how Sirius and Andromeda were contacted.
"You can thank us for that, after he got attacked by a dementor we thought it was necessary to teach him how to defend himself against one." Sirius said as he never wished for Harry to suffer what he did for years even for a moment.
(1 hour later)
Harry entered the Gryffindor dorms with Nymphadora as she was a 7th year and Dumbledore gave her the ok
"Ron it's okay, geez" Fred said
"We had him for years and he turns out to be this…" Ron said trying to find the right word for him
"We should tell Percy he slept and bathed with him" George said to him
"Ugh that's disgusting." Harry said as it was. He may need the magical equivalent of therapy in the future from hearing that.
"Why is there a hufflepuff in our dorms?" Fred asked seeing Tonks.
"She's my older sister and a 7th year." Harry said
"Yeah we know her she dated our brother Charlie." Ron said to him
"Boys and their dragons" Tonks said rolling her eyes.
"Think mom would let me have one?" Harry asked her.
"Not a damn chance." Tonks said as she may have asked a similar question when she was younger.
"Aww"
"Don't feel too bad I tried asking my mom for one." Ron said as he got the same answer from her
"Guess I can always talk to Hagrid about them." Harry said as Hagrid went for hours about it.
"Ask me, he should be the Care of Magical Creatures teacher, he'd do great." Tonks said as she knew the gentle giant and liked his hand made gifts.
"Yeah then maybe 'Ol Kettleburn would keep his limbs" George said with a chuckle
"I'm gonna go for a walk." Harry said to them as he left
(with Sirius)
"Have you officially lost all sense of reason!" Sirius exclaimed, grabbing Fudge by his collar "What would possess you to bring dementors here?!" he asked in anger.
"We're here to execute a killer Mr Black surely you'd like it to be done as quickly as possible." Fudge said to him as he grabbed Sirius' hands and pushed them off of his collar.
"Do you not remember the last time, one of the ministries oh so loyal monsters found my godson?" Sirius said still very angry with the stupidity of the minister.
"Yes I am aware" Fudge said as they fought the claims but the evidence was undeniable after Amelia did her investigation..
"Which brings into question, the ministry is supposed to have full control over them so how could such a thing happen?" Andromeda asked
"How many are here?" Amelia said coming through the floo "the dementors" she specified.
"All 10 Amelia" Fudge said to her
"Then why is there 9 outside?" Sirius asked looking out the window.
Everyone ran and did a headcount
"If that dementor has killed anyone or Merlin forbid found Harry I will kill you" Andromeda said with a look of pure unadulterated rage that made her ancestor Phineas Black shiver from his portrait.
Soon they heard the sounds of students screaming and shouting from outside the room they were in.
(few minutes earlier)
Harry sighed as he walked through the halls having a bit of a headache as thinking about Pettigrew and by extension Voldemort gave him a headache
He looked at the window before suddenly it began to frost over "Oh give me a break." he said looking around taking out his wand as he walked around slowly, he slowly looked around a corner and saw it….waiting for him
The dementor looked at Harry and didn't move anything besides the 'head' part of its body.
"You were there that night." Harry said, looking at a tear in it's cloak. "What do you want?" he asked it in slight fear as even in its presence he felt afraid
"Harry!" a loud female voice called out
Harry breathed as he heard that calming his nerves "What are you?" he asked it "you spoke to me" he said simply
All the dementor did was float to him raising it's boney rotting hand
"What did Peverell do to you all?" he asked it
The dementor stood before Harry making him feel chilled over
Suddenly a student screamed as others did as they entered the hallway and saw the dementor.
"Harry!" Andromeda yelled as they all saw him in the hallway with the creature
The dementor grabbed Harry by the collar and flew off smashing him against the walls
"Where is it going?!" Severus asked no one in particular wondering why a dementor wasn't just killing Harry just smashing him against the walls.
Sirius ran forward and turned into his dog form snarling at the students to let him by as he ran off after it
(with Harry)
"You are on the right track Peverell give it to me I want it" a whisper said to Harry coming from the dementor as it smashed him against the wall on the 7th floor "the gift of Ravenclaw find it" the voice said to him
"The diadem?" Harry asked feeling weak and tired as it began to 'kiss' him.
"Yes… the Horcrux." the voice said
"I need help" Harry asked the wall his head bleed against
The door opened immediately
Sirius made it to the 7th floor and saw the creature enter with Harry into a room he was unfamiliar with he ran for it seeing the door 'fade' and begin to become stone and soon just as he was about to enter he hit the place in the wall where the door was and as he got up he saw blood on the floor 'Harry' he thought in concern
"Dumbledore what is this madness" Minerva asked him hoping he could make some kinda sense of this
"For once Minerva I am at a loss" Dumbledore said to her. This was new even for him.
(Inside with Harry)
"The horcrux… bring it." The whispery voice said
"Get away from me" Harry said crawling away weakly barely even able to think
"Horcux. Horcrux. Horcrux." It kept repeating
"Help please" Harry said lowly
"Back away" Helena said loudly and in pure rage as she looked at Harry on the floor seeing him bloody and beaten and almost frozen. "What are you?" she asked as she had seen dementors but this seemed something….more.
"Expecto Patronum" Harry said not able to use a corporeal form but his mist was strong and bright yet the dementor didn't move "he wants the diadem." He told Helena
"Foul creature" Helena said to it angrily
Harry watched as Helena 'fought' with the ghostly creature crawling away and as he did he heard….hissing and saw the table and saw that there was a box, he knocked the table over from the floor and saw the diadem
"Destroy it and give me what I want" the dementor said in it's whispers
"I don't know how!" Harry said to it "what do you want from me" he asked in pain and fear filled anger
"Horcrux!"
"Shut up" Harry said angrily gripping his wand
'Use it' another whisper said to him in a hiss
Harry felt Salazar's wand being weird so he pulled it out of his other pocket,
"F-fiendfyre!" he yelled as he gripped the wand and soon fire began to shoot out of it and creatures soon shot out.
When the flames struck the diadem black smoke began to come out of it.
"Harry run!" Helena said to him in urgency
Harry struggled to get up and tried to run seeing the door open

"Harry" Minerva said as she saw the boy she had met as an infant run out of a flaming room.
Harry was panting feeling the adrenaline rush he had slip away "It wanted me to break Rowena's Diadem when I did black smoke came out of it and it went crazy" he said
They all looked into the flaming room and saw the dementor in the flames before their eyes widened as a face was formed in the flames screaming before vanishing
"Was that…" Andromeda said
"Voldemort." Dumbledore said
"Horcrux, it kept saying that, Horcrux." Harry said covered in ash, blood, bruises, sweat, and ice
"Take Harry to the hospital wing" Dumbledore said in urgency
Sirius nodded but before he did he punched Fudge in the face followed by Andromeda.
"Sir with all due respect you will be paying a heavy fine for this" Amelia said to him knowing the minister deserved it.
"Emphasis on heavy." Andromeda said as she was fully intending to press charges.

"What the bloody hell?!" Sirius exclaimed as he saw Harry's second wand and saw it had a sliver of a dementor's cloak on it and just as he was about to take it and keep it away from Harry it got absorbed into the wand.
(next day)
"What happened?" Andromeda asked Severus "and before you say anything this is my child, my son Severus you knew me in school and know I was the better duelist between me and my sisters" she said to him. "If you lie to me….I'll kill you" she said to him
"... I believe the dementor was reacting to Mr Potter due to him avoiding death." Snape said to her as it was his best guess as Harry did cheat the killing curse
"So you're saying these things are mad that he cheated death?" She asked
"Why did only one go after him and not all then?" Sirius asked Snape willing to suck all of his pride if it meant Harry's safety. "I want to know how it even did half the things it did" he asked him "smashing Harry against the walls, not immediately killing him, wanting something it's a dementor." he said to him
"It was like it was interrogating him." Andromeda said
"It clearly wants something from Mr Potter either something he has or can give it." Snape said to him
"Are we gonna just ignore that Harry said it kept repeating the word Horcrux?" Sirius said
"It's old magic older than my knowledge" Snape said Andromeda giving a similar answer
"Considering how it may be a dark ritual-like spell I may have knowledge of it in my library." Sirius said as if Andromeda or he and even Snape didn't know it must've been ancient
"How's about the fact the flames turned into Voldemort's head after the diadem went up in flames from the Fiendfyre?" Andromeda asked as she was concerned as Harry summoned it
"It was almost as if it was a part of his very soul lashing out." Snape said as it was frightening to say the least
"Didn't think someone like him could have a soul." Sirius said not knowing how accurate his statement was
"How is my son" Andromeda asked him seeing him brew a potion
"Alive" Severus said receiving a slap to the face "I don't know" he said as he didn't know what hurt more the slap or his wounded pride "few survive a dementor" he said looking at Sirius
"He doesn't need a dementor hounding him" Andromeda said with tears
"It kept calling him Peverell, wasn't there a legend about 3 figures with that name?" Sirius asked
"The three brothers" Andromeda said to him
"Why is a story connected to Harry? It's all fantasy….right?" Sirius asked them
"Never question magic" Severus said as he had seen many things in Albus' pensive seeing many things that made sense and didn't but were still magical
"Perhaps a peek into the Potter line could reveal some secrets" Severus said to them "or perhaps the Peverall line needs to be looked at more closely" he said
"I don't care why I just want my baby safe!" Andromeda said
"What are you thinking?" Severus asked Black as he had a certain thinking expression on his face which made him know something was very wrong
"James and I when we were aurors were sometimes in Azkaban and yet they never acted like they did for Harry" Sirius said thinking it may not have been the blood
"Then why do they act in such a way to Harry?" Andromeda asked
"Well let's not forget he had a shitty life when he lived with his aunt and uncle" Sirius said
"DON'T" Andromeda said very heatedly as both men backed up as she actually set something on fire via accidental magic "remind me" she said in a much calmer tone
"We already know the boy has had horrors in his early life, perhaps they are reacting to this" Severus said
"He's happy" Andromeda said to them her glare both colder than ice and fiery
"Maybe he has something he's the chosen one" Sirius said as he always believed it especially after the day Harry was marked
"I don't believe it to be so but… do you believe the dark lord managed to leave something behind when the curse rebounded on him?" Severus said
The three adults merely waited and thought what has been said

Salazar Slytherin's wand glowed slightly in the wand holster it was contained in as it was both looking and searching for ways to make itself whole

Fawkes currently in the prime of his current life felt the magic within Harry and knew that the boy his feather had chosen something was happening, the bird flew to a certain place in Dumbledore's office and smashed a picture frame with a younger Dumbledore and a certain man who collected magical creatures, but what was in the frame was what Fawkes truly wanted….a feather which he took.
(infirmary)
Fawkes flew in and landed near Harry the phoenix sad seeing the boy in this state both seeing and feeling the damage the creature did to him, he flew to Harry's wand holster and pulled out the wand giving the wand the feather he took from Dumbledore, he then flew to the top of the bed and shed a few tears all of them landing in Harry's mouth, he gave Harry a soft nuzzle before leaving
(next day)
"Blimey" Tonks said seeing her brother looked as good as new compared to how he looked yesterday.
"Hey" Harry said as he put on his glasses sitting up
"Guess Hufflepuff is gonna lose" Hermione said with a smirk
"Never" Susan and Tonks said with grins
"But all things considered Harry needs to win against Slytherin" Tonks said with a grin
"Does he even know how to play?" Hermione asked
"Yeah we taught him it some time back, mom was not happy when she heard he got hit by one of the bludgers." Tonks said rubbing the back of her head as Harry had some bruises and missing teeth and she had her own bruises to match
"And a broom?" Hermione asked
"Mom has that covered" Tonks said simply "you better win little brother" she said with a smirk "I'll be cheering for you" she said with a grin
"Like I'm gonna make a fool of myself before my family" Harry said with a smile
"Sirius does that enough." Tonks said as they burst out laughing

Harry was in charms class, which was taught by Filius Flitwick, who was actually part Goblin, which explained why he was so short
"One of the wizards' most rudimentary skills is levitation, or the ability to make objects fly, do you all have your feathers?" Flitwick asked the students
Everyone held up the feathers they were given
"Now don't forget the nice wrist movement we have been working on, the swish and flick." the professor said as they practiced it "Now remember the spell is, Wingardium Leviosa." he said
Harry smirked as he used the spell and messed with Hermione and Susan's hair
"Nice job from Potter, though the wrong target" Flitwick said
"Wingardium Leviosar" Ron said before he began swing his wand
"Okay, stop before you take someone's eye out." Hermione said "And you're saying it wrong, it's Levi-osa not levi-osar." she said
"You do it then." Ron said
"Wingardium Leviosa." Hermione began to sutley move her wand up making her feather float up while Ron pouted getting shown up
"Ah, well done, see everyone Miss Granger's done it!" Litwick said
"Wingard Leviosa, Wingard..." Seamus said before making another explosion which almost spooked the professor off his stack of books
"Think we're going to need another feather over here" Harry said as Seamus destroyed his.
(few hours later)
"Thanks girls" Harry said as the Patil twins told him Hermione was crying in the bathroom as they were eating in the great hall which was filled with snacks and other goods as it was Halloween
He then turned to Ron before smacking him on the back of the head.
"Ow, what did I do?" Ron said rubbing his head
"For making Hermione cry when she was just trying to show you how to do the levitation charm correctly." Harry said as he then left to go check on Hermione
Suddenly the doors of the great hall flew open and Quirrel came running in
"Troll, in the dungeon! Troll in the dungeon!" he said making everyone stop eating "Thought you'd ought to know." he said before fainting
Mcgonagall looked for one student in particular 'of course' she thought seeing Harry was gone.
"Silence!" Dumbledore said to the panicking students "Everyone will please not panic. Now prefects will escort their fellow students back to their houses, teachers will follow me to the dungeon." he said
The teachers following him except Snape who went through a back door
(with Harry)
"Hey" Harry said knocking on the door where he heard sniffling
"This is the girls bathroom" Hermione said in her normal tone
"I have my eyes covered." he told her
He heard Hermione chuckle lightly before she opened the door
They were both brought out of their thoughts as they heard something grinding against the other wall
"Inside" Harry said pushing her back into the stall
A troll then walked into the bathroom
"Really?" Harry said thinking trouble would just always find him
"What do we do? Trolls have thick skin and are harder to kill with spells" Hermione asked him.
The troll the let out a loud groan as it swung it's club destroying the latrines and Hermione quickly got out from under the pieces of wood
"Hey pea brain!" Ron said as he ran in and started throwing pieces of wood at it
"Wised up I see" Harry said blasting it with a bludgeoning hex
"Came looking for you when a bloody troll was in the castle" Ron said as they ducked as the troll swiped at them
"Hey ugly" Harry said calling it out
Ron pulled out his wand as Harry had it distracted
"Swish and flick." Hermione told him
"Wingardium Leviosa." Ron said
The troll swung but saw it's club was out of it's hand, it then grunted in confusion looking up seeing it's club floating over its head
The club then came down right on the troll's head
The beast then groaned as it swayed before dropping to the ground
"That had to hurt." Harry said to himself
Minerva followed by Quirrell and Snape then ran in
"Ok please give me detention or hang me in the dungeon…..but do not write my mother" Harry said to them beggingly as he'd rather face a troll without a wand
"Explain yourselves, both of you." Minerva said wondering why Ron and Harry were in here
"I came in to see Hermione as the Pavarti twins told me she was crying in here, because of something someone said. I came to see if she was okay when that thing came in, Ron came in trying to help and when I distracted it he used the levitation charm to knock it out with it's own club." Harry explained
"... Well then allow me to be the first to congratulate you two on such a feat, not many first years could face a fully grown mountain troll and live to tell the tale, 5 points will be awarded to the two of you… for sheer dumb luck." Minerva said before she left
"Perhaps we should all go before it wakes up." Quirrel said as Harry, Hermione and Ron left
(3 weeks later)
"Ready Harry" Wood asked Harry as they lined up
"Little nervous." Harry said as this was as professional as it got for kids
"I was the same time of my first match." Wood said with a grin
"What happened in it?" Harry asked
"Can't really remember took a bludger to the head 10 minutes in, woke up in a hospital a week later" Wood said
Harry felt even more nervous now remembering his own experiences
Suddenly their door came down and they got on their brooms flying out as other students were cheering for their selective teams
Harry and the others took off to the air
One side of the stadium was cheering for Gryffindor chanting 'Go, Go, Gryffindor.'
Tonks was keeping a close eye on the match as she saw her mother in the stands across the way, Sirius in another, and her father as well as they expected something to happen today during the match
"Hello and welcome to Gryffindor's first match of the season taking on Slytherin" Lee Jordan said
The match went on after Madame Hooch released the bludgers and the golden snitch before then throwing up the quaffle
Harry helped when needed but kept his focus on keeping an eye out for the golden snitch, but suddenly his broom began moving out of control
"What's going on with Harry's broomstick?" Hagrid said
Hermione used binoculars to look over things before noticing Snape muttering a spell keeping focus on Harry's broom.
(few minutes later)
"And you're sure it's Snape?" Tonks asked as she was running with Hermione
"I saw him doing a spell and not blinking" Hermione said as she and Tonks as they ran up the stairs.
Tonks looked up and was able to see Snape was muttering and soon saw Quirrel whispering as well.
Hermione was under the seats and looked at Snape's cloak "Lacarnum inflamari" she whispered lighting it aflame
Tonks kept an eye on Quirrel as she smiled as someone punched him in the face by accident
"Fire, you're on fire!" a man said noticing Snape's cloak was aflame
Snape looked down and got up putting it out while also knocking Quirrel over
Harry felt his broomstick get back under control as he pulled himself back onto it and then began chasing after the snitch
(1 hour later)
"Quirrel is a dead man" Andromeda said in anger
"We can't kill him now" Snape said as killing him would make all the work he and Albus did for nothing.
"I'm sorry I thought it was Snape jinxing the broom, not Quirrel." Hermione said to them
"It is quite alright Ms Granger but despite saving another's life you did set him on fire I'm sad to say I can't award any points" Albus said as if he awarded any Snape would throw a fit
"That's fair." Hermione said as it made perfect sense to her
"What do we do?" Tonks asked
"Continue as if nothing happened, if we let Quirrel know we're all onto him he may flip" Andromeda said
"Should we tell Sirius?" Tonks asked curiously
"Tell him and he may just go after the man himself and he'd be arrested again" Andromeda said to her
"...I'd help" Tonks said in admittance as this man was probably why her brother had issues and now she had to wait and deal with the man as his teacher.
"Let's just calm down, Quirrel knows he can't do anything with you all here." Snape said to them
"Yeah, as long as me, Sirius and Ted are here he won't openly attempt anything" Andromeda said
"But he does know you can't stay here forever." Snape said as eventually they would have to return home and to their work
"Severus look at me" Andromeda said as she looked him dead in the eye "I want you on this bastard if he even looks at Harry the wrong way I want you to kill him." she said very seriously.

Harry, Ron and Hermione walked into the Gryffindor dorms
"Ah M-Mr Potter" Quirrel said seeing Harry "f-f-f-fantastic game" he said to him
"Thank you sir" Harry said getting an odd familiar feeling
"Amazing feat" Quirrel said quickly "surviving the d-d-d-dementor" he said to him
Harry had to admit that was something he wish he could forget "thanks" he said to him simply
"You a-are an i-impressive wizard in t-the making" Quirrel said to him
Harry merely smiled at that
"Harry" Andromeda said in a strained voice seeing who he was with "wanted to see you before I was off care to walk your mother out" she said wanting to get Harry away from him
Harry nodded and walked with his mother
"Harry I don't want you anywhere near that man any longer than you have to, and watch him." Andromeda said, giving her son the warning.
"I know." Harry said as there was something off about him
"And if you ever need me, Sirius or Ted, we're one floo away." Andromeda said as she hugged him tightly "and please no more close death encounters." She said being completely serious
"I'll try" Harry said to her
"If you need anything go to your sister or Dumbledore." She said
"I will." Harry said then remembering what his life was like "I'll try" he said correcting his statement seeing his mother roll her eyes
She released Harry before she walked away
"I swear your mother is just like mine." Ron said
"She uses curses more" Harry said referring to his mother
(few weeks later)
"I swear I am a moron" Harry said as he was in the woods "unicorns are getting hurt what is wrong with me" he said as he wanted to help the unicorns as Hagrid had mentioned(blabbed) about it
There was rustling in the woods and soon he saw a wounded unicorn
"Hey hey you're gonna be ok" Harry said rushing to it as it fell to its side, he took out his wand and soon he heard a loud booming and soon saw a centaur.
"Be at ease Harry Potter" the centaur said to him "I am Firenze a friend of Hagrid's and I am sorry but there is not much more you can do" he said to the boy
"What would want to hurt a unicorn?" Harry asked feeling it's labored breath
"Not just hurt, consume it's blood." Firenze said
"I can't let it die" Harry said as he reached inside his pocket luckily after all the times with things trying to kill him he carried a healing potion "please" he said to the unicorn as it took a moment before it relaxed and opened its mouth
The centaur watched as the unicorn drank the potion and the more it drank the faster it's neck wound slightly healed
"Please c'mon" Harry said as he soon watched the unicorn stand tall and towered above him
The unicorn looked down and bowed it's head in both gratitude and respect it nudged his wand holster and when Harry took out the wand the unicorn rested it's head against the wand and soon a single strand of hair glowed
"Amazing" Firenze said
"You said something was after it's blood?" Harry asked
"Yes, but it comes at a terrible price, as unicorn blood can keep one alive even if they're but a inch from death, but for slaying something so pure the moment the blood touches your lips, you shall live a half life, a cursed life." Firenze said
"Who would choose such a life?" Harry asked
"Can you think of no one?" Firenze asked
"Shit" Harry said as he looked around
"You must go now" Firenze said to him
Harry began to ran and as he did he saw something chasing him "no you killed my parents you're not getting me" he said gripping Salazar Slytherin's wand "really hope I don't burn down the forest" he said as he shot out fire and what shot out surprised him
Creatures made of fire shot out a thunderbird followed by a basilisk, then a unicorn, and finally a cloaked figure like a dementor…..but so much more worse and it seemed the most aggressive when it struck Voldemort
The cloaked figure flew away in fear it's cloak slightly burned from wear the cloaked figure of flames struck him
"Whoa" Harry said seeing the figures of flames seeing the Basilisk do a slight bow before fading, the unicorn looking exactly like the one he saved who bowed at him also fading, the thunderbird looking at him curiously and soon squawking as if amused and excited, and finally the cloaked figure looked at him getting very close looking at him critically before leaning back and nodded before vanishing as well
Harry was frozen not knowing what to say and decided to run and soon ran straight into Hagrid's and as he relaxed and calmed down he heard a growl and as he saw Fang asleep he soon found the source was a baby dragon on Hagrid's table "What the bloody hell?" he asked himself
"Are you alright?" Hagrid asked seeing Harry covered in ash and some of his own blood
Harry would've said something if he didn't black out
"Blimey" Hagrid said as he rushed over to check him
The baby dragon flapped over to Harry as he heard him muttering something which sounded familiar and soon recognized it as hissing making the dragon let out a small happy roar and rest on the unconscious boy feeling comfortable
