Author has written 2 stories for Naruto. I'm a relatively new writer, looking to get some work out there and get some feedback! Current Projects: Kami's Reward - Naruto has beaten Obito, Madara, and stalled Sasuke long enough to end the 4th Shinobi World War in his favor, dying in the process. His reward? He gets to live his life all over again, however he wants, as a video game character! Because he was Ours - Naruto dies and his team goes back in time to save him, to when team 7 was first formed. Fairly basic time travel fic, with the twist that Naruto has no clue what is going on. Will probably run through the end of the Chuunin exams. This is a secondary project at the moment that I will be updating as I have inspiration. Future Projects: Shinigami - Someone told me I should make a God!Naruto fic. Unfortunately I am VERY literal minded and now this idea happened. Premise is basically that Minato got distracted by the Shinigami he summoned to seal Kyuubi, and sealed the Death God inside Naruto instead, causing him to become the next god of death. Probably going to be a Harem, because that just seems to be the way God!Naruto fics go. Naruto: Primal Shinobi - Still in it's development stage, but its a minimal crossover with StarCraft II. Basically: what if Naruto fell into a Primal Zerg spawning pool and gained their ability to steal the essence of their foes? And was then allowed to run rampant around the Elemental Nations which is filled with interesting bloodlines? I am developing this, but having a bit of difficulty finding a way to keep this from rapidly becoming a God!Naruto situation. Welp I am back in classes and have more free time than I know what to do with. So writing! Kami's Reward is (don't hate me please) getting restarted again. BUT THERE IS A GOOD REASON THIS TIME! My laptop got stolen and I finally figured out what I needed to change and do better. So look for that soon. Someone suggested that I post some stuff about things I read/watch, and any rants I have about those fandoms so here goes: Things I Read/Watch: The Avengers Harry Potter Naruto Fairy Tail SAO (Sword Art Online) Star Wars Code Geass Accel World Challenges: Naruto - League of Legends: So this is an idea I've had bouncing around in my head for a while, but haven't had the time to sit down and actually write. Basically the idea is Naruto gets summoned by the Institute of War when they were trying to grab the Kyuubi. Naruto is then stuck there for some time before he can be sent home, and agrees to fight as a champion in the mean time. He is then sent home, and this is when the story starts and he has to explain where his new found experience comes from, and this changes events of the world. If you decide to write something for one of these, shoot me a message so I can take a look! SPOILER WARNING!!! Rants: Naruto - Ninjas who don't kill: Okay, I get that it was originally supposed to be for younger kids, but seriously they're NINJA's for fucks sake. They throw pointy objects at literally anything that startles them, sooner or later they are going to start killing. Yes, the whole "Don't start to enjoy it, or not care" angle I can appreciate, I'm not saying they should be devoid of emotions, or sadistic killers (except maybe Anko, she is already sadistic) but the way that the characters focus on how not to ever kill is ridiculous. Quite frankly any training program worth a damn in a village that has been training soldiers from childhood for at least 200 years should be able to recognize that these kids did not have the right mentality to become ninja. And yes I understand that they are trying to avoid wars, and Konoha is supposed to be 'different' but really they produced Itachi (who murdered his entire clan in cold blood) and these same kids basically said it's cool when they found out he was ordered to do it by their elders, and Kakashi who was slaughtering enemy combatants at the age of 10 or 11, and yet no one comments on Naruto's reluctance to kill? I don't buy it. Naruto - Technology: This is something that has been brought up in a couple of fics I have read as something that makes no sense in the Naruto universe. Thing is though...it does. What technology we have seen them possessing (mass produced cup-noodles, short-range radios, electrical poles and lights, etc.) universally falls into the category of things that need little to no infrastructure. They key possible exception being the petroleum for the Styrofoam, but they have metals so clearly they can maintain mines/oil drills etc. Mass produced goods can theoretically all be created at a single point, given raw materials are delivered to them, and clearly travel is possible. Mines are also a single point. However electrical poles, long range radios/phones, roads, even railways as seen in the anime at least, occupy MASSIVE amounts of terrain, all of which needs to be patrolled. And if they aren't patrolled they are vulnerable and in a cutthroat environment like the Shinobi nations, that is a vulnerability your opponents will exploit. Which means you can't rely on them, which means you aren't going to use them, which means building them is pointless. As far as cars and other such things, they all require relatively smooth terrain to operate on (read paved or at least very well maintained dirt roads), and while the same can be said of a wagon, a wagon is comparatively light and could be easily carried over damaged roads, which in the war times the Shinobi nations are constantly prepared for would be an almost certainty if they were relied on, as enemy ninja sabotaged enemy supply lines. Look at what the Germans did as they retreated across Europe during WWII, same principle but offensive since every side has a preponderance of effective stealth troops. |
