Summary: Uzumaki Naruto and Mami are the twin 16 year old children of Statesman Namikaze Minato and housewife/ former Kendo champion Namikaze-Uzumaki Kushina. Naruto is a great student and is looking for a future in politics like his father while Mami was a modal. However during their spare time they LOVE playing MMO's together. Their father bought both of them a NERVGear and a copy of Yggdrasill Online to occupy their time. Little did any of them the fate that awaited them.

Chapter 3: The First map piece.
Location: Plains Zone
Place: Broken Crown Valley
Time: 1900 Sunday October 18th 2078
Suguha used a quick draw slash to cut though a large plant monster. Sheathing her sword she turned to Naruto with a smile on her face, only to frown when She saw that Naruto was turned and looking at Mami who had just killed her own plant monster.
Suguha wasn't stupid. Or at least she didn't like to lie to herself. She was starting to get romantic feelings for Naruto, even though they had only known each other for a week at most. It was similar in a way she had romantic feelings for her brother. For a long time she had had 'feelings' for her own brother. A relationship that she knew would never come of anything since Kazuto didn't seem to have the emotional maturity to handle that kind of relationship. Kazuto- and to a lesser extent herself- had been abused by their grandfather in the name of securing the family legacy of Kendo users. In truth Kazuto had been quite good. Good enough to be Regional Champion as 13 and Under. In some ways Naruto reminded Suguha of Kazuto, but in others he was completely different. She wondered how they would get along if they ever met?
"So we stopping at the Inn or what?" asked Suguha puffing out her cheeks as she quickly unsheathed her sword and hit another plant monster.
"Yeah. Best to get some rest tonight and tackle the dungeon first thing in the morning when we're fresh," said Naruto as he vanished and reappeared behind another plant and did a triple slash.
The Trio arrived at the inn. It was a quaint little place that gave off a homely feel. It was styled like a large two floor log cabin with several rooms.
As they entered Naruto walked up to the Inn Keeper who was wiping out a mug. "What can I get for you son?" asked the Keeper.
"I'd like to rent a room for the night," said Naruto.
"Free of Charge. Your the first ones to come here," said the keeper.
Naruto looked at the inn keeper with a raised brow. That was... weird. "Okay can you show us to our room."
"Up the stairs, to the left. Room at the end of the hall," said The Keeper.
As Naruto spoke with The keeper Suguha and Mami walked around the Inn looking at the décor. It was nothing special. It was what you would expect from an everyday inn. Right down to the Axe and boar head that was hanging above the fireplace.
"Whoa. That's all kinds of freaky," said Suguha.
"No kidding. And it's not like the Razor boars we saw before," said Mami
"That's because that head belonged to Illfang's Vanguard General. Gould the Devourer," said a Random NPC.
"Gould?" asked Mami realizing that the NPC was a special kind. A Lore giver. (1)
"Nearly 100 years ago IllFang the Koblad Lord and his four Generals set out across the Plains Zone determined to conquer it and get out from under the Other Calamities. They ravaged the Plains and nearly brought us to our knees. Gould was particularly ruthless and destroyed all the farm lands in the south in his unending hunger. However a Samurai from the Rising Sun Zone came here and decapitated Gould In the valley and mounted his head on the Inn here. This was the beginning of the Fall of IllFang. Rumor has it that Illfang gave each of generals a piece of a map that would lead to his location,"
"Samurai?" asked Suguha as she touched her sword
The Lore giver chuckled. "Yep An honest to God Samurai. There's even a myth floating around the inn that Gould spirit won't allow anyone with Samurai blood to escape Broken Crown Alive. But then again that's just a tale that people tell around here.
Mami nodded and bowed to the Lore Giver. Thank you for the information sir," said Mami.
The Trio went to their room and prepared to sleep for the night. Unaware of the trap they had fallen into. Naruto was the first to awaken to the random teleportation that had occurred. Once he was up he barely managed to teleport, before a Boar human nearly cut his gut open with a swing of a crude one handed axe. Naruto quickly auto equipped a secondary dagger and used Assassination to take out the Boar-man. He turned in time to See Suguha in her night Kimono and Mami in her sleeping gown each killing their own boar-man.
"What the hell happened?" asked Naruto as he opened his Menu and saw that it was only a few minutes past midnight.
"No clue I was sleeping just like you guys," said Suguha as she finished equipping her regular gear.
"That Lore Giver... I wonder," said Mami.

Destroy the Spirit of Gould
"And it was the start of a quest," said Mami placing her face in her hands.
"What in the hell?" asked Naruto.
"The Inn... The Lore Keeper. It was all a trap," said Suguha shaking in rage.
"That seemed to be the logical conclusion. Surely the info brokers would have warned of a trapped inn," said Mami.
"Not if they didn't know about it," said Naruto as he pulled out a small notebook and wrote down this information.
"So what do we do?" asked Mami.
"We get busy and clear this fucker and escape," said Naruto pulling out his dagger.
"Right," said the girls.
For the next hour the trio took to the dungeon with a clearing room by room, floor by floor. The Enemies they encountered. Boarman wielded crude axes, swords and lances. For defenses they either used wooden buckler shields or towers with dried leather armor making them quite brittle. The group stopped in a safe zone to take a quick break. On the 4th floor
"I didn't think it would be this tough," panted Mami. As she took out an MP potion and drank it.
I know what you mean. We killed enough mobs to level up. Mami you leveled up twice," said Suguha making Mami blush.
"She's been our golden ticket the entire Dungon. Hell Suguha they've been targeting you snice we got here. Almost as if their extra aggroed by you or something," said Naruto.
"It's part of the lore," said Suguha. "Gould the Devourer was killed by a Samurai so naturally all Samurai would be treated differently,"
"Normally when it comes to Lore based quests there is an item that would help with Damage dealing," said Naruto. As he pulled up a map of the dungeon they had gotten on the second floor.
They studied the map. The entire Dungeon was compressed of seven floors. Over the hour they had cleared 4 of them. They studied the rooms routes to determine the best way to go. After the end of it all they found 2 routes. A long Route and a Short Route. After determining that the Short Route would lead to their death, they decided o go the long route which would take them though the last 2 floors and most likely the Damage dealing weapon.
Their path set the group moved though the dungeon with a caution and swiftness. Taking their time and ensuring that they never got swarmed by more then they could handle. When they arrived on the 6th floor they found a room that was empty except for a shrine that had a sword. It was a decent Katana inside of a orange sheath. Suguha picked it up and began to examine the katana Outside of normal damage parameters it would also deal an extra 5 percent to Boarman.
After another 20 minutes of clearing they found themselves before the boss door The Trio quickly began to shift and change their gear around to hopefully give them an edge in battle. Naruto switched from his dagger to a 17 inch wakizashi, and a chain mail armor. Mami switched to a magic vine wood wand.
Suguha pushed the door opened and looked around the room. Laying on the ground was a pile of bones. Naruto narrowed his eyes as the bones began to rattle and shake, before they rose and began to take form with Iron armor, large boar tusks and stood over them even Naruto at 10 feet tall. He picked up a rusty Axe and an Iron Buckler and began to glow with an Aura of the Dreadkind. (2)

Naruto, Mami, and Suguha were all use to fighting field bosses and dungeon bosses with 2 bars. This was a whole nother level.
Gould looked at the trio and his eyes landed on Suguha. He roared and swung his axe striking the ground. The ground tore apart as a shock-wave headed towards Suguha. Suguha's eyes widened in fear. Mami raised her wand and created a wall of earth blocking the shock wave.
"Accelorate!" yelled Naruto as he activated a speed boost and charged at Gould. Naruto appeared between his legs and began to slash his legs several times. Since Naruto attacked the legs it placed a small speed debuff on Gould. Gould glared down at Naruto and kicked him in the stomach sending him rolling across the ground and into a wall. Gould lowered his shoulder and charged at Naruto's prone figure.
"Barriar!" yelled Mami pointing at Naruto.
Gould hit the barrier and wall, but didn't damage Naruto all that much. Naruto jumped from the dust and drained a health potion. Suguha yelled and charged at Gould she jumped into the air and focused Mana into her blade.
"Head Splitter!" yelled Suguha slashing Gould in his head, destroying his helmet and revealing his pure skull.
Gould yelled as he backed away from Suguha. Naruto took out several Kunai and throw them. They all hit Gould as Naruto formed a hand sign making them explode. This sent him backwards on his feet. Mami raised her wand and unleashed a blast of lightning. Gould roared in pain and locked onto Mami.
"Assassination!" yelled Naruto vanishing from his place and cutting Gould across the back
"Cross Slash!" yelled Suguha unleashing two slashes that sent him flying.

"Damn this guy is tough," said Naruto as he raised his blade.
"We've almost dropped his health to the second bar," said Mami.
"No time to rest. Lets get the second round started before he has a chance to regenerate," said Suguha
"Alright then. Mami hit him with a Debuff. Suguha, follow my lead! Shadow Walk," said Naruto as he seemly vanished
"Blind!" yelled the blonde beauty.
Gould's eyes turned black indicating that the sight Debuff had been applied.
Suguha raised her katana. "Right behind you! Vacuum Slash!" yelled Suguha unleashing one of her few ranged attacks
Gould managed to catch Suguha with a backhanded strike sending her tumbling. Naruto jumped out of Gould's Shadow and used Assassination to deal as much damage as he could. Gould reached behind him and throw Naruto away. Naruto flipped in the air and landed lightly on Suguha's shoulder, before he launched off of her shoulder and vanished, before appearing right in front of Gould. Naruto stabbed Gould in the chest as Suguha stabbed him in the gut. Gould roared in pain as Mami waved her wand. And unleashed a blast of kinetic energy at Gould. Making him stumble. Gould focused on Mami and opened his mouth before unleashing a beam of pure dread at Mami.
Mami raised her hands in defense and was blown backwards. Naruto ran over to Mami and pulled out a crystal to heal her. Crystals were one of the few ways to heal a comrade in game and Suguha didn't have time to check on her as they looked at Gould's health.

"Naruto I can end this in one attack!" yelled Suguha.
"How?" asked Naruto.
"Mami give me the strongest Attack Buff you can," said Suguha.
"Are you sure?" asked Naruto.
"Positive," said Suguha. I'm going to use my strongest Skill, but it will take me 20 seconds to prepare.
"Mi-nee?" said Naruto.
"I got this," said Mami standing up on shaky legs. "Buy us some time Naruto Since I need 10 seconds to cast,"
Naruto nodded and charged at Gould with a combination of acceleration and Shadow Walk. He appeared in Gould's shadow and popped out hitting him with a Jaw shattering uppercut.
"All Things in life need a protector. All things in Life need a Hero. I bless thy with the Strength to protect those you love," chanted Mami as she moved her wand around in a pattern.
Suguha smiled as she felt a boost in her power as she put her hand on her sword. "Iaijutsu : Dance of the Moon," said Suguha as she varnished and reappeared behind Gould sheathing her sword.
Gould stopped moving before he turned into several death particles.

Once the message was received the Trio yelled together in joy at beating one of the strongest bosses in the Zone. As well as the fact that Naruto and Mami had both leveled up to Level 10 and Mami Level 9.
"Hey Naruto-kun do you see what I see?" asked Suguha.
Naruto nodded. Yeah I see it," said Naruto.
"What are you two seeing?" asked Mami.
Congratulations on Reaching Level 10, the Maximum level for Prestige 0. Do you wish to advance to Prestige Rank 1?
"What in the name of the gods is Prestige Rank 1?" asked Suguha.
Location: Yggdrasil, Town of Beginnings
Place: Starters Plaza
Time: 0800 Monday, October 19th 2078
A random player that oversaw the Town Hall where the 'Boss Map' was going to assemble yawned. He had been on Duty as several people who didn't want to risk there life on the front lines.
"Hey Benji!" yelled a girl walking up to him.
"Hey T6. You replacing me today?" asked Benji taking his large twohanded sword and putting his across his shoulders.
"Yeah. I didn't have much to do so I took Boss's shift. Besides I'm getting a bit board testing the morality system with Koko," said T6 with a smirk on her face. (3)
Before Benji could comment on her love life, a glow appeared behind them and made them turn to look at the Map and saw that a random piece of the Boss Map had appeared on the Zone Map Board.
"Hey Go tell the others! They need to know about this! They need to know that this game can be beaten!" yelled T6 and Benji took off to spread the news.
Next time
The map pieces have all been found and an Adventurer calls all who are willing to try to head to the great battlefield. Figure appear from our heroes past to change the way that they have to do things. Now the Player in charge of the Raid keeps a secret from those he leads In what they know as their first great step to freedom.
