Note: I honestly did not expect such a response to this story and I'm very happy and thankful for everyone. I actually wrote the first chapter from a place of depression, to be honest, and I just wanted to write something to clear my mind. I have been going through a lot lately and you guys made my week. I enjoyed reading the comments and was working on chapter two for you guys.
Title: The Hokage's Wife
Summary: When Sakura awakened, she found herself in another world as the Hokage's Wife–-a mere nuisance to him. Knowing that divorce was awaiting her due to the memories of herself in this world, she slept and ate all day while waiting for divorce. Unfortunately, things start to unravel faster than she expected.
He requested – more like ordered - that she have breakfast with him again the next morning. There was only them having breakfast this time, no outside influence at the table, just husband and wife in name only. She sat across from him at the glass table that probably costed a fortune. There was an awning overhead covered with vines and flowers which shaded them from the sun as they were on the sun deck of the mansion.
There was a heavy silence between them that seemed to stretch on for longer than it should. She could see his eyebrow twitch, expression slowly turning ugly. Her contented expression as she dug into her hearty breakfast, including her moans of pleasure at the deliciousness of her food was cause for his expression. However, his ocean blue orbs were glued to her choice of clothing which showed off more than he would like.
He never looked at her in a sexual way and hated her existence the most but he couldn't understand why everything was falling apart. The human part of him wanted nothing to do with her and the beastly part wanted to take her against the table in front of him and ravish her. She seemed like a completely new person to him, and he wondered if her previous actions were all an act to deceive him. This thought angered him, causing his eyes to turn red, at the thought of a mere weak girl deceiving him.
Sakura on the other hand had planned to give him as little attention as possible and enjoy the breakfast she didn't make. She could sense his personal ANBU guard surrounding them and briefly wondered if she should've changed her clothing. Looking up from her almost finished plate, her eyes landed on the blonde, who watched her like a predator with his red eyes.
She was startled for a moment and didn't allow her body to show that she was. The memories she was given weren't integrated into her own mind but it was like they were in a box for her to call on whenever she needed. She searched the metaphorical box, calling up memories to help aid her questions about Naruto.
From the memories or as far as the other Sakura knew Naruto, his eyes always flashed between blue or red. His personality from the academy was always cold, calculative, or violent. It was nothing like the Naruto she knew at all. She tried to call up any memories for why he was this way but the other Sakura didn't know. She realized that her counterpart hadn't seen Naruto in a battle since he was a genin because he and Sasuke were promoted quickly and she was the only one left behind.
"Sakura, you should dress more appropriately for breakfast," Naruto told her with an edge to his voice before dismissing his ANBU guard with a wave of his hand. He didn't want them to see her for some reason.
Wanting to see his bottom line she provoked him with knowledge the other Sakura knew that he didn't know she knew. "Do you really care, Naruto?" Sakura rolled her eyes, "At least someone will appreciate the view," She said, knowing his guards had seen her, "I know Hinata does whenever she sees you."
She could see him clench his fist that was on the table before his anger dissipated and he became calm. His eyes were still red, and his whiskers more pronounced but the smirk he wore stunned her. She noted he had control over his anger and was relieved.
"Are you jealous, Sakura?" Naruto asked, leaning forward with his mesmerizing yet terrifying red eyes, "You don't have to worry, she is just a friend who has an unfortunate crush."
Sakura folded her arms, raising an eyebrow. "So you know about her feelings then?" Sakura whistled, "Why don't you divorce me and marry her? I'm sure she would provide you with the love you need and maybe birth two kids for you." She tapped a finger on her chin in contemplation before jumping with excitement. "You could name the two children...Boruto and Himawari!"
Naruto threw his head back and laughed. Sakura who had never seen him laugh was surprised. When he calmed down, he laid his red eyes – which slowly went back to blue – on her. "Sakura, I never knew you loved stories and fantasies. Maybe you should be a writer, you'd be good at it."
This time it was her time to laugh because what she said had happened in her world. He married Hinata and had two kids from her so hearing him say that it's just a fantasy was funny to her, yet sad. "You know me so well, husband." She retorted with a smile, her sarcastic tone didn't go unknown to him.
"I have made a decision to test you," Naruto suddenly said, which made Sakura raise an eyebrow, "You never showed your prowess in all the years I have known you and deeply hid your skills from your Hokage and husband."
"What are you really saying?"
"I am saying that I want you to spar against our sensei tomorrow in the training grounds. If you are successful I will give you the rank of chunin."
Sakura was tempted by his proposal and she actually had no problem sparring with either of them as it would give her a better gauge on her teammate's strength in this world. She wasn't a pushover like her counterpart or her old self.
To remove the coined name of "Second Tsunade" from herself she created many of her own jutsu, her own fighting style had slightly changed, and she even had another summon contract that no one knew of but her. Sadly, the summoning contract she had for Katsuyu didn't transfer to this world along with her other one. She sadly had a lot of time to do these things because of how poor her marriage was and mostly because Sarada had grown up and could take care of herself.
"I will spar with sensei, however, there is no need to give me the rank of chunin," Sakura dabbed her mouth with a napkin, "I rather like being a genin as it adds a certain charm to the Hokage's Wife prestige, don't you think?"
Naruto chuckles at her response, knowing that it was a jab at him but he wasn't one to take shit laying down."You should've taken the life of a ninja seriously then, instead of chasing love and forgetting your own training. No one told you to display weakness."
Sakura nods her head. "You're right, and I can rectify that after we get divorced."
Naruto frowns at her words, his eyes flashing red for a moment. He didn't know why when she brought up the divorce it angered him but he had more pressing matters. "I will take you to meet up with our poisons expert later today to work on the poison. I hope you're as good as you say you are."
Sakura raised an eyebrow, wondering why all the men in her life underestimated her. But she couldn't blame him as the other Sakura was pitiful as long as he has known her, that was until she took over this weak body. With her vast medical knowledge and techniques she mastered in her old life she was able to use her chakra to slowly improve her body's muscles without actually exercising, and it was a much slower method than actually exercising, and required her to eat a lot to recover the nutrients and energy she needed. Plus, it aided her in improving her chakra reserves size.
Sakura's lips slowly formed a smile, her emerald green eyes burning with fervor. "And if I'm not as good…?"
The blue in his eyes vanished and was replaced by red. He grinned, showing his teeth which seemed to become canines. Her instincts were telling her that the man in front of her was very dangerous and she shouldn't take him likely.
"I hope you never find out, wife."

Sakura made her way to the local library after her breakfast with Naruto. She used a simple henge to traverse through the streets as she knew how her counterpart was treated. The village was similar to her village in her world but the houses and buildings were much fancier here and colorful.
She looked around the shopping district where the people were happy and chatting as if they didn't know their Hokage had an attempt on his life just days ago. She noticed that there were multiple items that either had Naruto's name and or face on it which further cemented his popularity in her mind. He wasn't even this popular when he became Hokage in her world. It was ironic that in this world she was treated like dirt by the villagers and Naruto was the village star boy despite being the host to the Kurama.
She looked up at the Hokage mountain, recalling her counterpart's memories from her academy days. There were only four faces on the mountain, and yet she still couldn't wrap her head around it, seeing it for the first time. The First Hokage was naturally Hashirama who had a long rule but the Second Hokage was the most shocking.
The second hokage was Madara Uchiha, and not Tobirama Senju. She was surprised that the village was still standing under his rule considering the kind of war he started in her world. The Third Hokage was Minato who was beloved among the village and now his son who was ruling as Hokage for 5 years already. Naruto was already 15 when he became Hokage, for some reason unknown to her, and his father stepped down from his position allowing Naruto to step in.
When she reached the library, she dropped her henge and walked in as herself. When the librarian saw her, her face became sour. Sakura ignored her and walked through the isles that she was very familiar with. She grabbed three books; History: Warring States Era, The Five Shinobi Nations, and The Great Winter War, and went to a table in the corner of the library. She dug a hand in her shirt and pulled out a bingo book she stole from Naruto.
She first went through the Warring States Era, comparing its history to hers, and noted that the history presented in the book, that she read so far, was the same as hers. However, since the book was 500 pages, she might have missed something so she planned to take it home to read. She moved onto the next book The Five Shinobi Nations, which was shorter than the previous book.
These countries are divided equally on an unknown continent to create balance in the Shinobi world. They are the Land of Earth, the Land of Lightning, the Land of Water, the Land of Iron, and the Land of Fire. These superpowers are the major players in the politics and trade between the shinobi nations. They are the most powerful of all nations and each has an extremely powerful shinobi village.
Sakura was starting to recall some memories from her counterpart and was intrigued at how much history has changed. There was no mention of the Land of Wind at all in the book so far and she wondered what happened to the village that was so well-known in her world.
The Land of Earth has Iwagakure, the Land of Lightning has Kumogakure, the Land of Water has Kirigakure, the Land of Iron has Tetsugakure, and the Land of Fire has Konohagakure. These five villages are the only ones to have a Kage as the village head.
Although the Five Great Shinobi Countries are equal enough in power and military strength to create a fairly stable balance of power, the Land of Fire is considered the most powerful and influential. Similarly, the Land of Fire's shinobi village, Konohagakure, is considered the most powerful of all shinobi villages, and Konoha's Hokages, both and present, has been considered to be the pinnacle of the shinobi world. This is further proven during the Great Winter War, when Naruto Uzumaki as the Fourth Hokage, wiped out Yukigakure, the village hidden in the Land of Snow in a single night by himself.
Sakura shivered. "He wiped out an entire village in a night.." Sakura was in disbelief and wondered if she should stop trying to reach his bottom line. Not even she would attempt something like that and at her level, she probably could...but with lots of effort.
She thought back at how his eyes would change red or how his teeth were like canines this morning. He only went through those changes when he was affected by the fox inside him, from what she knew of him in her world. However, it seemed he had control over it in this world. Sakura bit her lip, her mind racing at the thought that there was something much deeper, that she couldn't understand between the fox and Naruto. She searched her counterpart's memories and only found basic information about Naruto which she knew already. There was nothing other than that Naruto was the fox's host. Sakura sighed and went back to the book.
When she was finished she was already mentally tired from the information she gained. She sent a pulse of chakra through her feet that merged with the building itself. It's a technique that acts as a kind of sensory ability using her earth element. She could sense two familiar chakras near her but hidden from her sight. She was expecting Naruto to have her followed so she moved onto the next book.
The Great Winter War was a battle that has been going on since the reign of the Minato Namikaze between the Yukigakure and Konohagakure. Yukigakure declared war against Konohagakure because Naruto Uzumaki was accused of defiling their princess. Yukigakure attacked several villages under the banner of Konohagakure, killing women, men, and children.
Sakura blinked several times at the paragraph. The war was started because of Naruto, who was accused of having sex with their princess. She didn't know if to laugh or cry but somehow she didn't believe that this Naruto would do it. He had never touched the other Sakura not once but she couldn't really use herself as an example since he hated her.
The war went on for years with many attacks going back and forth between villages until the ascension of Naruto Uzumaki who became the Fourth Hokage and ended the war in one fell swoop. Naruto Uzumaki as the Fourth Hokage, wiped out Yukigakure in a single night by himself. Using his overwhelming strength he blew up the village, leaving nothing but a gaping hole.
"He blew up the village?!" Sakura was reeling from the thought and she knew that the only thing with such powers was the Bijuu Bomb which could level mountains. If he could use such power then...imagine now.
Some other information she found after going through the previous books was that although Tobirama Senju didn't become Hokage, he and his team died at the hands of the Gold and Silver brothers during the First Shinobi World War with the only survivor being Sarutobi Hiruzen. That meant that Danzo died during that time.
Hashirama died of an unknown illness surprisingly and his body was burnt by Madara who didn't want his body to be used. Madara appointed Minato as the Hokage before leaving the village for some unknown reason and his status wasn't known.
Lastly, was that Sunagakure was considered a major village in the past but was reduced to a bandit village after Gaara rebelled against the Kage. The village was ruled by Gaara himself, with his siblings as his generals. The bandit village was left alone because of how hard it was to actually get to the village and because of the large number of desert monsters under the control of Gaara himself.
Sakura looked for some more books to read that would give her more information. She was able to gather some valuable information so far but it was hardly enough for her. She didn't bother to find information on her parents as any information on them was removed by Minato when he was in power. She opened the bingo book next to see who was the #1 in the book and she wasn't surprised to see who it was after reading those books.
The bingo book was from Yukigakure and she suspected Naruto was the one who stole it. Naruto was the #1 in the book and was rated as "S+ Class Threat" with a 100 billion ryo bounty and it listed the reason he was #1 as he was the only in the top ten to kill over 3 million people in a single night. Quite a few names were from Konoha in the top ten, almost all of them she knew with the exception of Harune and Yuki. Harune was the Kage to the Land of Iron who is said the be the most powerful Kage after Naruto. Yuki is a missing-nin from Yukigakure who killed the previous King of the village.
Sakura sat there for while, processing all of the information she gained before she slipped the bingo book back into her shirt and checked out the books to read for later. When she got back home she found Naruto waiting for her. She glanced at the clock and realized she spent almost 5 hours in the library.
"Are you ready to take me to the poisons expert?" Sakura asks, not in the mood to test his bottom line after reading about him.
Naruto looked her up and down with a smile on his face. He walked up to her and she unconsciously stepped back, her back hitting the door. He trapped her against the door which briefly reminded her of a scene in the Icha Icha series. She could smell the scent of trees and earth from his body and she was trying so hard to not let his presence affect but she was failing badly He brought a hand to her chin and slipped his other arm around her waist.
"Hold on tightly, Sa-Ku-Ra," He whispered in her ear, and with a squeak forcing its way out of her mouth, they both vanished on the spot.
When they arrived she found herself in a lab. She quickly pulled herself away from Naruto after that instantaneous teleportation he did. She wanted to throw up but she kept it down and instead breathed heavily.
"You should've warned me." Sakura managed to get out.
Naruto grinned. "I told you to hold on tight."
"Hokage-sama."
Sakura turned around at the sound of a voice she knew all too well. Sakura was speechless as she watched the woman walked towards them in a lab coat and with her hair in a style Sakura knew all too well. She was gorgeous as well, even more so than Hinata, but she would never admit out loud that she was more gorgeous than herself.
"Sakura, meet our poisons expert, Ino Yamanaka who chooses to remain anonymous for some reason," Naruto said, looking at her as if waiting on something.
Sakura glanced at him, already understanding what he was looking for. Her counterpart and Ino were never friends and she had a strong dislike for Ino who was considered the Great Beauty of Konoha and would often throw insults at the woman who wouldn't throw back insults of her own.
Sakura inwardly smiled. "Ino-san," Sakura replied, looking at the surprised woman, "we already know about each other so no need for formalities. Please take care of me while we work together."
Ino was surprised at Sakura for being so cordial towards her and was a little suspicious. "Likewise, Sakura-san," She said before turning to Naruto, "and Hokage-sama, I wish to remain anonymous because it would be difficult for me to find a man if they find out I'm an expert at poisons."
Naruto laughs but doesn't offer a response.
Ino turns back to Sakura with narrowed eyes. "I heard you were the one who saved the Hokage from that deadly poison and even told them about the properties of the poison. I hope I can pick your mind while we work together."
Sakura could sense the hostility from the woman and wanted to laugh. She couldn't resist making a jab at the woman who was her best friend in her old world. "Maybe you can learn something from watching your betters, Ino-pig.."
Ino sputtered from disbelief. "What was that, Forehead?!"
Sakura smiled at the woman who wore an angry expression. "Ah, just like the old days."

In a village some miles away from Konoha, two figures stood in front of a trembling man. The man raised his head, revealing himself to be the Head of the Konoha hospital. Half of his body was frozen as he looked up at the powerful ninja in front of him.
"Sasori-sama, Yuki-sama, I'm sorry I have failed the mission! Please spare me!" He cried out.
"What should we do with him Sasori?" Yuki said, looking down at the trembling man. She was a woman who wore a pure white kimono with splashes of red decorating the garment. She had long white hair cascading down her back and red eyes that promised death. Her entire body was transparent, clearly showing her unearthly nature.
"Who saved the Hokage?" Sasori asked.
"It was his wife who came in and performed medical jutsu that I have never seen before!" He immediately surrendered the information, "I heard that she is going to make an antidote for your poison!"
"Wow, no one has ever been able to make an antidote for his poison," Yuki said out loud, smugly looking at Sasori before turning back to the man, "I thought the Hokages wife was nothing but a weak woman who he hates."
"I thought so too but could it have been a plan they both crea-" Before the man could say any more his throat was pierced by a metal tail. He gurgled, choking on his own blood as the tail retracted, leaving a gaping hole in his neck.
"So violent.." Yuki laughed hauntingly.
"We are going to kill that woman tonight," Sasori stated, leaving no room for argument and walking into the other room.
Yuki smirks, following the hunched man but instead of walking through the door, she walked through the wall. "I can get you into the residence but you have to make it quick."
"I thought you would want to kill the Hokage considering he destroyed your village," Sasori said as he began gathering items.
The temperature in the room dropped instantly, the walls getting covered in frost. "I do want to kill him but we need him weakened. If you can kill his wife and poison him again then I can kill him!" Yuki sneered.
Sasori looked at the ghostly woman who had killed his previous partner; Deidara. She was much more reliable than the man and she was dangerous as hell. He was going to kill that woman tonight because anyone capable of making an antidote for his poison was dangerous.
He was going to kill Sakura Uzumaki.

Sneak Peek for Chapter 3:
Sakura rolled off the bed, onto her belly as a rain of senbon filled with poison turned the bed into a pincushion. She brought her fist down on the edge of the bed, flipping the bed on its side before channeled chakra into her feet, dashing from behind the bed.
"The one time Naruto doesn't tell his ANBU to watch me I get attacked," Sakura muttered.
She cart-wheeled across the bedroom floor, dodging senbon as if Chiyo was controlling her. She panted her feet on the side of the wall, running across it horizontally with her eyes locked onto the hunched figure by her balcony.
Her hands flashed through hand signs. "Ninja Art: Chakra Skin" Her chakra spread across her skin rapidly like armor. She launches herself from the wall using her feet, flipping head first and landing on the carpeted floor.
She gathered excess chakra in her feet within seconds and dashed towards the man, the ground beneath her feet caving in from the force. The onslaught of senbon hit her head on, bouncing off of her chakra skin. She raised her fist, watching his tail shoot out towards her abdomen.
She made no effort to dodge, letting the tail slice through her chakra skin. She brought her chakra fist down on the puppet with great force.
BOOM!
