Hello, figured it's about time I finally sat down and wrote one of these... (It's November 19th, 2020, for reference)

And no, I'm not procrastinating on writing a math paper about the Jordan Canonical form... Not a chance of that being the case.

Well regardless, perhaps you've heard of me from Harmony Vamped, the fic that I wrote when I was... quite young. Hence its general state of affairs. Thought about recently continuing that, but... Well honestly, Harry Potter is just not something I'm interested in writing anymore. Perhaps I should, just for the sake of necroing something that ancient, hah. Ah well...

There is a bit more to not continuing it than that, however. It's largely just I've changed, it's been five years, and I'm now a university student, my interests, while surprisingly unchanged since then, are significantly changed, more so in focus. Harry Potter holds a dear place in my heart, but... All the long fics there are of genres I have interest in, I feel like I've read. What I wanted to do with Harmony Vamped... I don't think I could do nowadays, it just doesn't interest me, especially given how I wanted it to be a vampire story, because that apparently wasn't obvious from the title from the reviews I got back in the day. (Thank you for the reviews all the way back then, and sorry for probably disappointing you from not continuing) One day, I'll continue it, but it won't be soon...

I have some other fic ideas I've wanted to play around with, in truth. Not sure if I will actually write anything though. Had an idea for a Zero no Tsukaima (Familiar of Zero) fic, really've wanted to see something along the lines of Emperor of Zero... Megalomania is something that I love to see, but is something that never seems to be done in fics, tragically.

The other idea is a RWBY fic, something I've often wanted to read is a fic where Ruby is actually a prodigy amongst prodigies, however at the same time not having her be, well, morally dubious.

It's surprisingly hard to find when you think about it... Seems that often writers want Ruby to "Face the world as it is" and change to it, or be corrupted by it, just having her lose her... Hmm... Childness, perhaps. I was tempted to say innocence, but that's different. Basically, I want her to see the world as black and white, doing what is right, not due to some "noble" duty, or boredom, or for escape, but just because it is right, not being some sort of tragic hero, but just being... Selfless. Altruistic. At the end of it all, she may've gone from nothing to nothing, but if that is the price of righteousness, does it truly matter?

Ah, perhaps I'm still a sucker for romance... Just not that kind of romance. Love is still something that I, well, love. In particular, agape, unconditional love. "No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends." (John 15:13) Overlord, of all shows, made me learn of this line, and it's something that has stuck with me since. It's something I truly admire, and it is something that has, in many ways, changed my views on the world and on morals.

But anyways, those are two fics with their general idea that I've thought of writing recently, might do so, but not sure if I'll have time with my classes, but we'll see, I guess.
