Summary: Takes place the day after the last chapter.

After what was probably the longest sleepless night Dick had ever been through, he groaned as he realized had towork his way through school. Man, can't Gotham Academy take an off-day? I kinda have important love life stuff to deal with! Barbara noticed how tense he was and walked up to him.

"You okay? Ya seem kinda...off."

"Uh, yeah, yeah. I'm just...seeing a friend for the first time in a while. Kinda wanna get outta here."

School finally came to an end and Alfred was early for once. Man, 's all lookin' up now! Dick quickly got home and changed before heading down to the cave. Bruce forced him to go back upstairs and finish his schoolwork before he could do anything else, and Dick swore Bruce was having fun with him at this point.

Dick finally got to Zeta to the cave around 6, and to nobody's surprise, he found Arty and Wally making out on the couch when he got there. What, how'd she get here first? That chem assignment took forever! Probably got Wally to do her chem for her. Damn, that's cheating, he never does MY work for me...The Zeta tube announced Robin's arrival, and everyone ran over to greet Dick.

"Rob! About time!"

"Robin, my friend, it has been too long!"

"Hey Rob! How was Gotham?"

"Hey." Wow. Connor's excited. Dick greeted everyone and got to tease Wally and Arty a bit before turning to Zee, who had been more or less silent this whole time. Unbeknownst to either of them, they were both thinking the same thing as they stared at each other, both blushing. Oh boy. I really hope (s)he's not mad or anything. The team noticed this and all smirked as they started to leave.

"We'll leave you two alone for a bit." Both of them blushed even deeper before Dick looked to her.

"Uh, h-hi."

"Hi."

"C-can we go somewhere...private?"

"Y-yeah." Zatanna led Dick to her room before shutting the door. Oh god, I hope he's not mad. I-I mean...why shouldn't he be? I didn't exactly think about what he wanted when I kissed him. Clearly he doesn't like me back...I mean, he spent 2 weeks away, not even a call.

Dick took off his glasses and put them on her desk as Zatanna locked the door for privacy. He gulped as he stared at her...body. Oh man, I hope she's not mad. I mean, she has every right to be but...it wasn't my fault that Joker broke out and I was gone for 2 weeks! Then again...I should've at least called her. She probably thinks I'm trying to avoid her. B-but this is too important for a phone call! I need to explain. Dick opened his mouth to speak, but before he could, Zatanna blurted her own thoughts out.

"I-I'm sorry. A-a-about New Year's. I shouldn't have kissed you." Dick felt his heart drop as he heard that. Guess I was right. She doesn't like me. Well, there goes that dream. Dick sheepishly rubbed the back of his head, and Zatanna continued. "I m-mean, you clearly aren't interested in m-me, a-and that's okay. I-I just wanna be...friends again." Wait, what?!

"Wh-why d-did you think I w-wasn't interested?" Zatanna looked at him questioningly. He's not...is he?

"Y-you were gone for 2 weeks. No call or anything."

"Yeah...sorry about that. I, uh, I wanted to call, seriously, b-but I thought it would be better to have this talk, y'know, in person." Oh. How thoughtful. He's gonna break my heart right in front of me. Well, it's better than a phone call, I guess...Dick cleared his throat sheepishly. M-man, why is this so hard. She's standing right here! Just spit it out, Grayson! "I-I do like y-you, though, i-in that way, I mean. I...I always have." Zatanna's eyes widened a bit as she looked at him in shock. He-he does?! No, I've gotta be dreaming right now.

"Wh-why didn't you s-say anything?" Dick snorted a bit and looked down in sadness.

"I guess I was scared. I-I mean, wh-why would someone as amazing as you e-ever be interested in someone like me. 'S pretty ridiculous if you think abou-Hmph!" Dick was cut off by Zatanna grabbing his jacket and pulling him to her, smashing her lips onto him. Like on New Year's, he stood in awe for a second before kissing back, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her close to him. Her fingers entwined themselves in his hair, tugging gently while he moved one hand up to caress her own. They broke apart for air, staring at one another with reddened cheeks and love-struck looks in their eyes. Once they had gained enough air, Dick pulled her into another kiss, and Zee pulled him down to the bed so he was more or less on top of her. They stayed like this for almost a whole minute, occasionally breaking off for short breaths but going straight back in. Zee tugged on his hair, making him groan a bit, and she slipped her tongue into his mouth. After almost another whole minute of their tongues clashing, they two lovebirds broke off, panting for breath as they rested their heads together so their noses rubbed with one another. They smiled dorkily at one another with flashing eyes and very flushed cheeks before Dick realized the position they were in and blushed even more, getting off her and positioning himself next to her. "S-sorry." Zatanna giggled at his awkwardness and sat up with him. Okay, this should be easy now. C'mon, she just made-out with me! This next part should be a walk in the park! "S-so I know this i-is kinda outta order, b-but...d-do you wanna go out with m-me?" Zee flashed him a smile that made his insides do somersaults.

"I don't know." Dick nearly passed out at that comment. Wh-what?! Th-then what was all that fo-"I mean, your first kidnapping was pretty asterous. You sure you can top it?" Dick grinned as she smirked at him.

"Only one way to find out." They leaned in for another kiss but were interrupted by the PA system and Batman summoning the team to the monitor room. Dick and Zatanna both sighed. "Perfect timing." Zatanna giggled and he grabbed his sunglasses, putting them back over his eyes and walking out with Zatanna's fingers entwined with his own. Unbeknownst to one another, they were once again sharing the same thought.

This might just be the best moment of my life!
