Saiyan of Legend:

Ch. 8- Cooler's Revenge

Staring out over the collected band of fighters standing between him and vengeance for his family, Cooler found himself sorely unimpressed, and could hardly keep the sneer from his face with each and every new face the Frost demon burned into his memory.

From three-eyed freaks, to toadstool Namekians, Cooler could hardly believe that his father was struggling with such a pathetic gathering of misfits; it was inexcusable!

'The fool even has the gaul to try and order around my soldiers after his men were defeated…'

Such weakness could not be allowed.

But, the fiendish alien's attention shifted from the battered and broken shell that was his father, to each pair of dark eyes watching him with apprehension in their depths.

Saiyans, so easy to spot with their tense muscles and propensity for leaning into the balls of their feet when posed with a new enemy.

Even the boy, standing with his legs shoulder-width apart in an imitation of the Namekian's fighting stance, bore an uncanny enough resemblance to Bardock's son that Cooler could tell he was the child of the Super Saiyan despite his mannerisms.

And while seeing Vegeta was no great surprise, considering his brother's joy in keeping the prince under his thumb, it irked Cooler greatly to see so many other saiyans had survived Frieza's genocide.

'Pompous brat,' he hissed to himself, 'done in by his own oversight, and then leaving me to clean up his mess. Again.'

This time, Cooler let his lips twist just a fraction.

Yet, a small part of him allowed a flicker of sadistic delight to flash within the Frost Demon's cold heart, as the thought of facing off against the legendary warrior of the Saiyan race threaded its way through Cooler's mind.

Not only would he restore the honor of his family, but by snuffing out the Super Saiyan, the tyrannical lizard would cement himself as the undisputed power of the mortal universe!

'But first, I do suppose introductions are in order…'

For those who'd risked their lives on Planet Namek, watching this new foe's reveal was like finding themselves in the worst sort of nightmare, and poor Krillin nearly had a heart attack; listening to that horrible noise with every step the villain took down from the ship.

It was as though the monster walked through a sea of blood, crimson puddles squelching beneath his feet like echoes of impending doom.

Royal, purple skin seemed almost black under the cloudy night sky as ivory-white armor was shaded to an ashen gray.

Taller, and with muscles that stood out against Frieza's much sleeker and shinier design, the two couldn't have been more different…

But then you look into those hellish red eyes, and there was no mistaking their bonds of blood.

Only monsters could look down on you with such contempt; as though you were lower than dirt. A waste of space, unfit to breathe the same air as them, let alone stand in their presence.

But where Frieza's gaze was lit with a gleam of sadistic amusement, these gems were colder than ice, and it turned Krillin's stomach just to look upon them.

The grown man felt his knees shake as his tongue swelled. A phantom hand seemed to close around the former monk's throat and squeezed down on his windpipe until he was struggling just to keep himself standing.

Soon, it became too much for Krillin and he dropped to his knees.

"Ah! Hey, are you alright!?"

"Krillin, what's wrong!?"

"What happened!?"

As the others cried in alarm, Vegeta gave the other man a passing glance and immediately recognized the look of despair in his eyes.

It was the same feeling he'd had when the true gap between him and Frieza had been revealed back on Namek.

PTSD, Bulma had called it.

And it wasn't hard to figure out the cause, but that didn't stop the prince from sneering as he turned his harsh gaze back towards Frieza's brother.

'The fool should have never come if he couldn't handle himself,' he chastised while ignoring his own past moment of weakness.

But soon enough Krillin was joined on the ground by none other than Yamcha, whose eyes were nearly rolling back into his skull as he was held up by trembling arms.

Only Tien managed to keep himself standing as their latest foe finally finished his descent to Earth, though one could see the sweat trickle down the tri-clops neck as he too was blanketed by the hideous aura of Frieza's brother.

"Sir," Cabba drew Vegeta from his thoughts, "I don't understand; what's wrong with them?"

"Besides the fact that they're an inferior species, nothing. Your friends just know their place before the universe's most powerful being."

All eyes were on Cooler now as he answered before the prince, his face almost set in a mask of boredom as he went on speaking.

"Though with Vegeta as your Prince such a thing shouldn't come as any surprise; I heard he never was much for common sense."

The prince's fists tightened at the barb, and a snarl made its way to his lips as Vegeta glared at the cold-hearted lizard.

"Watch your tongue, bastard. My power is far beyond what your men's scouters remember!"

"And yet still no match for me," Cooler shrugged, "so I wouldn't posture if I were you; it won't be very good for your health."

"Says the coward who's always hiding in the shadows!"

Salza and his squad bristled at the slight to their master, and the trio each took a step forward as though to launch a combined assault, only to be stopped by Cooler's tail.

"But my lord," Dore gaped, "this monkey dared to insult your greatness! He must be punished!"

"And he will be, by me. I want the three of you to take care of the others; show them what real power looks like."

Cooler's eyes strayed to his father as he gave the order, a condescending smirk playing at the corners of his lips while the Frost Demon took in the sight of King Cold knee-deep in mud.

'Oh, how the mighty have fallen.'

King Cold looked up at his son as the younger tyrant stared down his nose at him, and felt a burning fury begin to form in his chest at the look he found in Cooler's eyes.

"What, boy, why do you dare to look upon me in such a way!? Speak, if you are of the mind!"

The small silence that followed was felt by all, a thick coat of anxiety and stomach-twisting tension falling upon each and every shoulder as Cooler just simply stared at his father before finally…

"I look upon you as you are; like garbage. Trash, to be swept away so that something new, something better can take its place. I look upon you, Father, as the past...and believe it is finally time to make room for the future."

Beady, crimson eyes dilated in horror with every word spoken and King Cold's icy heart beat painfully against his chest as the truth of what Cooler intended was made plain.

"You...Y-You wouldn't, you can't, I made you-ACK!"

The power that exploded from Frieza's brother nearly blinded all who looked upon him, as a tornado of malevolent red-and-black flames swirled around the Frost Demon, his tail whipping about like a wild snake.

"She carried me; gave birth to me. You are nothing but a sperm donor and a weakling. You are a disgrace to my family, and no one disgraces her and lives to tell about it!"

Krillin couldn't hold it in any longer, and soon the man was spewing his guts all over the forest floor while Yamcha finally passed out. Tien dropped to a single knee, and even Gohan found his legs shaking as Cooler's unimaginable rage seemed to crash over them all like a tidal wave.

Beside Goku, Caulifla could feel their enemy's power pressing down on her slender frame, and had to admit that it was far beyond that of Cold's. But that was before a new sensation surrounded the young woman.

It was warm, like the sun, and left Caulifla's entire body tingling in the most amazing way. Blinking rapidly, she searched quickly for the source, and was shocked to find that it came from Goku himself.

The Saiyan raised on Earth let his own gaze flicker over to her, and he gave a playful grin.

"You looked like your knees were about to start shaking," he teased, "figured I'd give you a hand."

Indeed, Caulifla could no longer feel any strain on her body, only that pleasant caress of Goku's aura. But as she began to blush and worked her lips into a snippy retort, the pair's attention was drawn back to Cooler and his father.

"You think you can talk that way to me!? Stupid boy, you forget your place! What do you think my empire will do to you, and your pathetic little band of fighters, when they hear about your treason!?"

The tyrant's eldest son simply tilted his head, and swept his gaze over the scattered bodies that made up King Cold's invasion force.

"If any of them are still alive, perhaps we could ask them, hmm? Otherwise I doubt they'll care too much about you joining them in oblivion."

Cold's brow wrinkled in misunderstanding as he shakily returned to his feet.

"Wh-What are you talking about?"

"Just that while you were off sipping wine and adopting new 'pets', I was busy pulling the empire out from under your lazy, self-important ass."

Cooler stretched his arms out and smiled, "All that remains of your old regime is lying dead or dying around us; the Planet Trade now belongs to me, and me alone."

A cold sweat prickled at the back of the King's neck, and for a moment he felt all the strength leave his body, forcing him to lean on his knees.

But as he sucked cool, night air into his nose Cooler's father allowed that frigid breeze to soothe the rawness of his throat and ease his mind; he could still win this.

Pushing himself to his full height, the founder of the Planet Trade puffed out his chest and dug deep within for every last scrap of power he had left. The scuffle he'd just lost was short, leaving him ample energy to unleash upon his traitorous son.

Because while it was true King Cold never found himself in combat often, he knew that neither did Cooler.

'My power has always been superior, to both of them, even as I am now defeating that spiteful worm should pose little problem.'

Cooler simply eyed his father with that bored expression returned to his face, arms now crossed over the Frost demon's chest as he stared down the only opposition to his take over of the Planet Trade.

"You think you're so clever, don't you? Biding your time like the snake that you are; but you overestimate yourself my boy. There is a reason I am King!"

Everyone watched then, as King Cold's power multiplied and his muscles began to inflate with all that latent strength, until Goku's memory matched him side-by-side with Frieza in his own Full-Power form.

"This is...insane," Tien choked out, "Goku was this what you had to face back on Namek!?"

"No; this is worse. I never would have stood a chance against Frieza if he was this powerful at the time, even as a Super Saiyan."

"But you can beat his father now, right?" Kale's quiet voice carried through the air.

The Saiyan from Earth nodded, but there was still a stern mask over his face, "King Cold, definitely...it's his son I'm not so sure about."

Piccolo eyed the two lizard-like aliens, keeping his body tense as he pointed out that maybe they wouldn't have to worry about that.

As if to agree, King Cold finished powering up and immediately went on the attack!

"Now, let's see how you handle this, brat!"

"Salza," Cooler instructed as he leaped into the air, "you and the others stand by while I deal with this nuisance. You'll have your chance in a moment."

"Yes, my lord."

King Cold's teeth gnashed as he came in with his claws ready to tear the younger Frost Demon to shreds.

"Don't get cocky, the fight's not even started yet!"

"And yet, it's already over."

As his father took a swipe at him, Cooler pushed himself further into the air before vanishing from sight. King Cold whipped his head back-and-forth, desperate to find his opponent, before a flicker of color caught the tyrant's attention.

"Got you!"

A single 'Death Beam' shot from Cold's pointer finger, streaking across the sky like a laser, only to miss as its target disappeared again.

"Hold still, damn you!"

What followed was a humiliating game of cat-and-mouse; King Cold trying and failing to nail his son with a rapid series of 'Death Beams'. Before finally, Cooler seemed satisfied with how much energy his father had expended for the effort.

Turning on a dime, the usurper launched himself like a comet towards King Cold, weaving in-between the older Frost Demon's barrage before…

"ACK!"

Gliding by his father's hand, Cooler drove his knee into the alien lizard's stomach before smashing him with a double hammer-fist, sending the tyrant dropping like a rock with a sense of infuriating dejavu.

Only, Cooler wasn't finished.

Watching his father crash against the earth below, the villain's gaze was cold and devoid of feeling, even as he raised his hand and stared down his finger like a scope.

'No one disgraces my family; not even you.'

King Cold wasn't even given time to salvage himself from the mud this time, and with a bloody cough as his heart was pierced by a lance of vibrant red energy, the founder of the Planet Trade was given a one-way ticket to Hell.

"Long live the king," Salza snickered as he eyed the dead heap that had once been the fearsome King Cold.

As Cooler descended from the sky Goku could feel the change in the air; this was it.

There was nothing left to put off what was coming, no more distractions and no more warm-ups. The real fight was about to begin. Finding the well of power deep within, Goku called it forth and let the energy flood every inch of his system, never once breaking eye contact with that cold, menacing gaze.

"Tien, I want you to get Krillin and Yamcha out of here, they aren't in any shape to fight and I'm worried these guys might be too much for you."

The tri-clops frowned, looking between a shaken Krillin, catatonic Yamcha and Goku, before shaking his head.

"I can't do that; Krillin can escape with Yamcha, but I'm staying. Live or die, this is my home too and there's no way I'm walking away when it needs me the most."

"Tien be reasonable!"

Vegeta's scoff drew their attention just as Cooler landed back on the ground.

"What Kakarot seems incapable of saying is that you're just going to get in our way if you hang around. This is a fight for true warriors, not wannabes, so why don't you run along now with your tail between your legs like a good boy and leave the work to those who can handle it?"

"What was that!? I dare you to say it again Vegeta; I'm not the same person your partner fought when you came to Earth. This time I'll-"

"It really doesn't matter," Cooler interrupted, "you can stay or you can go but the outcome will be the same. After I kill the Super Saiyan I'm going to turn this planet, and everyone on it, into dust."

The villain's grin was cruel as he continued speaking.

"So really, Super Saiyan, I'd let the fool stay. Better to die fighting than cowering in a hole, don't you think?"

Goku's glare was heavy, and his hair began to sway as he built up an aura of white around himself.

"No one's dying today except for you and your men, Cooler. I gave your father the chance to turn around and leave us in peace; you won't get the same offer. If it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get!"

The new overlord of the Planet Trade simply spread his arms and gave a mocking bow as his eyes gleamed with a lust for battle.

"That's good, I was hoping you'd say that. Now come, Super Saiyan, show me the power you used to destroy my brother."

Black pools shimmered before turning a molten amber, and dark pupils glared hatefully at their foe as Goku's hair now moved like onyx flames.

"You wanna see what I've got? Then I won't disappoint you!"

In a burst of orange-and-black aura Goku rushed Cooler like a rocket, smashing his fist into the tyrant's face before an uppercut sent him into the sky.

With the saiyan following close behind, that left Salza and his men to turn their full attention on Goku's friends.

"It looks like we'll get a chance to have a little fun after all. Dore, Neiz; Vegeta is mine. Pick off the others at your leisure, but I'm the one who's going to make that monkey pay for insulting Lord Cooler."

The Prince of all Saiyans just scoffed, giving a cocky smirk as he stepped forward ready for battle.

"Fine by me; you remind me of a certain red coward I disposed of, so this'll be fun. Cabba, Kale, I want you both focused on the skinny one with a frog face; leave big, dumb and green to the others."

"Sir!"

"Yes, Sir!"

Piccolo eyed that last member of the Armoured Squad and sucked his teeth as he felt the alien's power.

"Gohan be careful; I can't look after you this time. If you don't think you can handle it, help Krillin escape with Yamcha."

The boy just shook his head as he noticed the former monk slinging their friend over his shoulder.

"No way," he mirrored his mentor's stance before calling on the power within, "I'm not leaving you to fight him alone!"

"I really wish you guys would stop leaving me out of the discussion," Tien hissed as he too got ready to fight.

Piccolo gnashed his teeth, keeping his eyes locked on their enemies as they too began to power up.

"Then prove to me now that you're more than moral support, because here they come!"

Seconds later, auras clashed in a rainbow of colors and limbs were flying as the Z-warriors stood once more between their world and certain destruction.

Kale and Cabba didn't waste any time when their gangly, frog-like enemy came rushing at them. Immediately the two pushed off the ground, and backtracked into the trees where they zigzagged between trunks in an effort to confuse their opponent.

Unfortunately, Niez was fitted with a scouter, and the Planet Trade member easily locked on to his targets and kept pace with them.

"Run all you want, you little brats, you'll never get away from me!"

"We'll see about that," Cabba shouted right before letting loose a barrage of energy blasts.

But Cooler's soldier simply twisted and whirled around each and every bright, yellow ball of ki sent his way, laughing maniacally.

"Ya know, the more you run, the more I'm gonna make your deaths as painful as possible! So just hold still ya dirty monkeys, and let me kill you!"

"Who are you calling dirty!"

Kale's eyes were hard like coal as she stopped, and then propelled herself forward with an angry curl to her lip. A thrust of the girl's palm sent an energy beam shooting through the air, and she twisted like a screw to fly around her enemy's counter shot after he deflected it.

Niez had hoped to push his foe's buttons with that last remark, but the villain's eyes were wide with disbelief as he was quickly pressed between a rock and a hard place with how furiously the saiyan female retaliated.

'Since when could a monkey move this fast!'

Only from training under Salza was Niez able to duck and dodge Kale's attacks, but even still the alien enforcer quickly found his body bruising under each punch to the ribs or knee that smashed against his forearms.

And things only grew more intense when Cabba joined the fight.

Seeing that there would be no way to out maneuver their enemy, and bolstered by his fellow saiyan's rushing attack, the young man circled around Niez and came flying in with an energetic battle cry.

At the same time, Tien was learning that even a double Kaio-Ken wasn't enough to keep pace with his and Piccolo's opponent.

"Argh!"

The green giant's knee came in like a train, ramming against Tien's stomach and sending him flying through the air before being set upon by Gohan.

"Masenko-ha!"

A burst of yellow energy shot from the boy's palms like a comet, but when he saw his foe grinning, Goku's son knew the attack wouldn't have any effect through a direct assault.

'Only one thing to do then…'

Pulling his hands apart, Gohan's blast was split down the middle right before reaching Dore, and any smug confidence Cooler's soldier felt was swept away when those beams circled behind him to smash into his back!

"Dam it," Dore hissed in pain as he felt his armor cracking and falling to pieces.

Fury burned in the alien warrior's eyes as he stared down the young boy, and a snarl rippled through the villain's nose right before he dashed forward with the intent to slaughter his pint-sized enemy….

"Hrgh!"

"Where do you think you're going!"

Only to be stopped by a green hand with claws wrapping around his ankle. A quick look revealed that it was the Namekian warrior; his arm stretching across the sky to halt Dore's charge.

"Namek filth! Let go!"

"Not gonna happen; guys, now!"

Confused, Cooler's soldier was only alerted by the beeping of his scouter that something was very wrong. Whipping head around, Dore gaped as his eyes landed on Gohan and Tien charging up a new set of attacks.

"Special Beam Cannon!"

"Dodon Ray!"

Focusing his energy and letting it cover his body, the green giant managed to stave off each attack's most brutal moment of impact. But it came at the cost of Dore's uniform, leaving him in the spandex shorts and boots while stinging cuts and bruises covered almost every inch of the alien's muscled form.

Spitting out a mouthful of blood, Dore tightened his fists and called forth every last drop of power he had left.

"Ha! You think that pathetic attempt is going to be enough to stop me!? I am Dore, lieutenant of the most feared military force in the whole galaxy, nothing you puny weaklings do could ever hope to put me down!"

An aura of blue energy swallowed the villain like a flame before spiraling around him similar to a tornado.

Piccolo just stared at the other green alien while his fellow Z-warriors came to float beside him.

"Feh," the Namekian scoffed, "I've heard that one before. Why don't you stop your posturing then, and fight me like a man rather than blabbing like a child!"

The air rippled as each fighter's power rose, before Piccolo and his fellow defenders of the Earth rushed their shared foe, all three of the hero's minds imagining that one thing they were trying so hard to protect.

"Looks like you and your freaks may not be as powerful as Cooler thought; I can feel their energy levels dropping like a rock."

Salza offered the saiyan a taunting grin in spite of Vegeta's own mockery, and simply shrugged as he offered a retort.

"I'll admit this planet has stronger defenses than I'd imagined, but Nezu and Dore aren't the leaders of the Armored Squad for a reason you fool."

Caulifla scoffed beside her fellow warrior at those words.

"Big talk from such a little weakling. Hey, you can handle this loser by yourself right? I wanna go give Goku a hand-"

"Not a chance," the prince countered quickly, "you'll only get in Kakarot's way if you go up there alone."

Sharp, feminine eyes sparked with aggravation and Caulifla's pretty face twisted into a sneer.

"How would you know; maybe having me help him'll see Cooler sent home packing faster!"

A scornful chuckle brought both saiyan's attention back to Salza, his eyes lit with malicious mirth as he combed a hand through neatly-trimmed blonde hair.

"You could all attempt to take on my Lord, and it would make no difference. His power is limitless, he's never been defeated; he is...invincible!"

Vegeta simply sent back his own condescending smirk as he crossed his arms over the chest plate strapped to the warrior's torso.

"Funny, I notice you didn't have much to say for yourself in that little speech. What's the matter, not feeling as confident against a saiyan elite as you'd like to make me think?"

"Don't flatter yourself, monkey boy. I just wanted you and this puny slag to know the true depth of my Lord's power before I send you to oblivion, since neither of you will live long enough to see it in person!"

The leader of Cooler's Armored Squad rushed both saiyans with a battle cry, his gloved hand stretching out to fire a shot of yellow energy.

"Pathetic!"

Vegeta swatted the attack away, but his coal-black eyes were already shifting up to catch the posh warrior as he vanished and reappeared in the air.

Another series of shots came raining down at Caulifla and her fellow saiyan, but both warriors split up, gliding over the forest floor before Universe 6's lethal beauty rushed Salza with a gaze full of excitement.

"Gonna have to do better than that!"

A bone-breaking punch missed its mark as Salza parried and slid into Caulifla's guard to drive his elbow into her sternum.

The spiked tips of the girl's hair tingled as she ducked her enemy's counter-attack, right before every muscle coiled with power when Caulifla twisted into a low side-kick.

"Too slow," Salza taunted as he vanished, coming back into sight a few feet away from his opponent with a blade of purple energy flaring to life around the villain's hand.

But just as he was about to jump back into the fight, the blonde's scouter went off and Salza turned his head to see Vegeta behind him!

"What about me?"

"AAAAH!"

Scorching yellow energy came shooting out of both palms, enveloping Salza in a wave of blinding light as he screamed in pain.

When he could no longer feel his enemy beneath his fingertips, Vegeta cut power from the attack and watched as nothing but empty air greeted him after the space was clear.

"Hmph, look at that, all talk and no action."

"Funny; I was just about to say the same about you!"

The Prince of Saiyans eyes widened, before he felt a heated agony slicing through his stomach and hot breath on the back of his neck.

"Vegeta!"

Caulifla floated, dumbfounded, as she saw Cooler's underling standing behind her fellow warrior with his energy blade sticking out of the prince's middle!

"So smart," Salza mocked as he pulled the ki weapon free, "yet you couldn't catch on that I used an afterimage after escaping the slag's pathetic little kick."

Vegeta cursed his lack of foresight as he felt the enemy's palm coming to rest against the center of his back, but a quick drop in the saiyan's energy flow saw him falling back to the earth just before Salza could blast him.

"Don't get cocky!"

Reaching up to snag the villain's ankles, Vegeta squeezed with all his strength and took a single step forward.

"Argh!"

"Girl! Get him now!"

Amber eyes shot away from glaring at the grinning male saiyan, and opened wide when they caught sight of Caulifla charging up a brilliant crimson ball of energy in her stretched palm.

"Eat this! 'Crush Cannon'!"

"No!"

Salza barely had time to cross his arms before he was bombarded with a seemingly endless barrage of ki shots.

Searing pain wracked the blue alien's entire body, even as he tried to call forth the energy to shield himself from his foe's onslaught. Concentration wouldn't come however, and purple blood dripped down Salza's lip as he bit into the flesh in anger.

'How! How did these insolent monkeys get the drop on me!? Th-This shouldn't be possible!'

Over and over Salza experienced the sharp, swift sting of Caulifla's energy attacks before she finally decided he'd had enough. Cutting off the red rain, the two saiyans waited until the smoke settled before Vegeta let go of his prisoner.

The captain of Cooler's Armored Squad fell to his knees in an instant, keeping his face off the ground by pushing all ten fingers into the mud.

"Wow, now that looked like it hurt; does the little blue baby need help getting up~"

A snarl spread across Salza's face as he lifted his head, amber eyes bloodshot with fury as the villain glared hatefully at Caulifla.

The pretty saiyan warrior was leaning onto the balls of her feet, fists planted against both hips as she gave a cheeky grin to the battered enforcer.

"You bitch! Don't think just because you got a lucky shot, that this fight is over!"

He pushed himself to shaky feet, armor falling apart and clattering to the floor as rivers of purple blood oozed across Salza's body.

"I've barely gotten started-Ahack!"

In all his years of service to Cooler, the blonde commander never once imagined he'd know what it felt like to stare death in the face. Yet, as Vegeta wrapped his arm around Salza's neck and rammed a single fist through the villain's lower-back, there was no doubt in the villain's mind that he was about to die...and it terrified him.

"That's too bad; because I'm finished playing with you."

Salza tried to plead through the glob of spit and blood filling his lungs, but he couldn't manage more than a pathetic gurgle before Vegeta tore apart the villain's insides with a powerful ki blast.

Assured in his victory, the saiyan prince dropped Salza's lifeless corpse into a heap on the ground before grunting and curling in on himself.

"Damn it all, that bastard's lucky I didn't decide to just tear him apart!"

"Feh, well if you would have just stayed back and let me handle him that wouldn't have happened dummy!"

A vein pulsed against Vegeta's forehead as he sneered at Caulifla.

"Watch your mouth, you little witch! Don't think that just because Kakarot wants to get into your pants, that it gives you the right to speak to the Prince of all Saiyans any way you please! I'll send you to oblivion just like that fool without thinking twice about it!"

There was a lull between them then, filled with the sound of fighting from all around. Caulifla could sense her crush's energy multiply through use of the 'Kaio-Ken' while Cabba and Kale were finishing off their own opponent.

A soft, pink tone filled the Universe 6 cutie's cheeks a moment later though, and Caulifla scratched the back of her head as she giggled.

"Y-You really think Goku's that into me?"

Vegeta nearly face-planted into the mud.

"Wha-How would I know that!?"

"But you just said-"

"Ragh!" The prince's face was a mask of grit teeth and twitching eyes as he face-palmed himself.

"Enough of this! Ask the clown himself after we've killed Frieza's brother, you idiot!"

Caulifla went to snap back at her fellow warrior, but then they both felt a malicious power drape itself over the Earth, sending shivers down their spines as Caulifla's heart nearly stopped.

Because such a terrible blanket of evil could only mean one thing…

'Goku's in trouble!'
