Summary: Suggestion from SunkissAngel. Sorta inspired by this one other fic I read, but I tried to make it distinctive as well. I know someone suggested something before this user did, but I was already writing something similar to what this user asked, so please don't get mad. The other suggestion chapters are coming up. Takes place around September of this year (2012), so 9 months after Auld Acquaintance. Wally/Zatanna and Dick/Artemis friendship fluff

Wally and Zatanna watched on as Dick and Artemis danced together. The team had been sent to Belgium on an undercover mission after getting word that Ra's Al Ghul was going to try something, and they had to go undercover at a ball. Connor and Kaldur had danced with their respective girlfriends but had also swapped, meaning Connor danced a bit with Raquel and Kaldur with M'gann. However, Dick (wearing his glasses with his hair in it's "Robin" form so as to not be recognized) and Arty had not danced with their romantic partners for the whole thing. Wally and Zatanna were beyond confused and slightly pissed off at this. They had tried dancing with one another to balance it out, but they had since then gotten bored and broken it off, both longing more for their significant other. Zee and Arty were practically sisters, but she still felt a bit of rage boil inside her as Dick danced with her. Wally felt exactly the same about his own best friend.
"Okay, what the hell is going on?" Zatanna was glaring at the pair when Arty laughed at something Dick said. It was quite jarring seeing them dance together, since Dick was almost a head shorter than her, but they were making it work, and Zatanna was slightly furious.
"I know, right? Ever since Dick revealed his ID to the others, they've been chilling with each other way more than normal. I get that they go to the same school and they know each other outside the masks, but holy crap! Last I checked, YOU were dating Dickie, not my girlfriend!"
"Yeah, what's up with them? You don't think..." Zee and Wally both shuddered at the thought that their lovers were having an affair with one another, but Zatanna also felt a slight pang of sorrow at the possibility. Arty was more like Dick in some ways than she was, plus Zee had always been a bit uneasy about what she could offer Dick as his girlfriend. She sometimes expressed the fact that Dick could do way better than her, being a billionaire and all, which was completely false, but Zee was very self-conscious. Dick, of course, denied these claims, saying that she was the only one for him, but what if that was a lie? Zatanna tried her best to push these emotions down as she looked to Wally, who was seething even more than she was. "Okay, us staring at them won't change anything, so...what do we do?"
"Dance? Maybe we get them to feel jealous and come back to us?" Zatanna nodded before taking his hand. Wally was a few inches taller than her, so it was rather weird. They were good friends, having spent time together since they were dating each other's best friends, but they still weren't all that close to each other when compared to the others. Zatanna felt awkward dancing with her boyfriend's best friend, and Wally felt just about the same. He thought Zatanna was fun to be around and argue about magic with, but she was not at all his type, plus she was dating his best friend and was best friends with his own girlfriend. Long story short, the two felt extremely uncomfortable, but their need to know what was happening between Dick and Arty outweighed their awkwardness.
Dick and Artemis eventually broke off, ready to regroup with the others, when they saw their own lovers dancing. Dick felt somewhat annoyed that Zee was dancing with Wally, but he caught himself. I mean, I DID just spend the past half hour dancing with Arty...but that was for a mission! The pair walked up to the others, who broke off as soon as they saw them. Zee glared at Dick, and Wally did his best to glare at Arty. The two were incredibly confused, and so Artemis asked what was up.
"Why were you both dancing together for like 30 minutes nonstop?" Dick looked confused at his girlfriend's remark.
"Uh...for the mission?"
"Yeah, but you could have danced with Zee, and Arty with me." Dick and Artemis snickered a bit as Wally said that. Wow. They're jealous? Heh, that's...not what I expected. Artemis, smirking wildly, lightly shoved Dick towards Zatanna.
"You can have him. I'd rather not date someone almost a foot shorter and 2 years younger than me."
"Har har har. I'm not that much shorter than you." Zatanna still looked unsure, so Dick continued. "You really think we'd cheat on you both with each other? Arty's like my sister, who just happens to be dating my best friend and is practically my girlfriend's sister! Long story short, us dating would not only be violating a shit ton of rules in the best friend handbook, it would be borderline incest! Plus, no offense Wally, but if I dated Arty, I might have to blow my brains out after a few weeks." Artemis scoffed, not losing her smirk.
"And if I dated bird-brain here, I'd basically be committing public appearance suicide. No offense, Zee, you two are perfect together." Zatanna smiled a bit at their assurance, but Wally still looked confused.
"So why were you two dancing for so long?" Artemis facepalmed and explained the situation to him.
"Okay, here's the gist. I can dance with Dick here because if we dance with each other, we won't be as focused on dancing. We spent the past half hour monitoring for League ninjas. If we had danced with you, we would have been too...distracted to notice that the guards at every entrance are assassins and have barricaded the room." Wally and Zatanna looked to each other in understanding at this point. Dick added on to Artemis's point.
"AND we wouldn't have been able to figure out they had an inactive bomb that they could trigger at any point in case their plan goes wrong. We gotta tell the others." The four ran to inform the others, and at that point, Zatanna uttered a spell to suit everyone up, and they got to work taking down League warriors. Dick disarmed the bomb as the team made relatively short work of the ninjas.
The team boarded the Bioship after making sure everything had been taken care of, and Dick sat next to a slightly pouty Zatanna, kissing her on the cheek to try and make her feel better. She smiled a tiny bit, but he could tell she was a little grumpy. "We didn't get to dance."
"Yeah...sorry. I'll make it up to you later?" Zee smiled a bit and they sat in silence for a while as the others conversed. "Did you really think I'd cheat on you with anyone, let alone Arty?"
"I don't know...maybe?"
"Zee, you're perfect. I couldn't find a better girlfriend if I tried. Trust me, I'm not leaving you for anyone. Now or ever." Zatanna smiled and brought their lips together. They parted after a bit and looked over to see Artemis in Wally's lap, making out quite profusely. They both snickered a bit and Dick couldn't resist himself. "Hey Spitfire, keep that to your own room! None of us wanna see it!" Wally and Arty both broke off and glared at the pair as they, along with everyone else, laughed at them.
I feel like I don't say this enough, but I wanna just thank everyone who reads and supports this book. It's gotten past 8k views, which is just mind-blowing for me, and 15 follows with 17 favorites. Words cannot express how important and significant this is to me, so I seriously wanna say thank you all for the support. More than anything else, reviews are seriously a delight for me to read. It's become kind of a morning tradition for me to wake up and check if anyone has left a comment on this book, cuz I love hearing any thoughts you may have, good or bad. I know my writing isn't the best, but nonetheless, thank you guys for sticking with this book. I seriously didn't expect my first ever story to get this much support, so thanks and hopefully this book can continue on for a good while.
