~Chapter Summary~ Where in the power couple find and save another Demon. Izumi gets a brother.

~A/N~ So here's chapter four. Sorry, it took so long.

Chapter Start!

Ryukyu sat quietly at a cafe. Her eyes seemingly focused on her laptop. In truth, her full attention was on the building next door. She had been asked to check out the place as someone claimed to had seen a demon in chains in one of the windows.

"Almost," She whispered as she continued typing away at her laptop.

"I've reached the floor in question," Gang Orca's voice echoed in her ear.

"None of the renters have a child on the list," Ryukyu said biting her thumb. "I don't like this," she added.

"Nor do I," Gang Orca replied.

"Wait for backup," Ryukyu said about to close her laptop.

"Wait," Gang Orca spoke quietly. "I see something,"

~With Orca~

Gang Orca kept himself hidden the best he could against the wall. Not an easy thing to do when you were as large as him. He had just managed to see him. A small boy with deep purple skin and hair. He had poked his head out of an apartment.

"What's happening?" Ryukyu's voice asked.

"I see him," Gang Orca whispered. "Room 408," He added.

"408... 408... Empty... that apartment doesn't have a renter," Ryukyu said.

"GET BACK IN HERE!" a voice shouted from behind the demon boy.

"I'm going in," Gang Orca said as he rounded the corner.

"You have probable cause. You can breach. I'm ready to jump in at a moment's notice," Ryukyu replied.

"Good. I don't know if this will turn violent or not," Gang Orca replied as he reached the now closed door of Apartment 408.

~Inside the Apartment~

"What have I told you about leaving your room," A man growled as he threw a young boy onto a couch. The boy didn't respond. He couldn't respond. His mouth had been muzzled by the man. His Captor. "If I didn't think I could get a good price for you I'd just kill ya," The Captor took a large step towards the now crying boy.

It was then when the world exploded. The door shattered as a massive man stepped into the apartment. A humanoid whale. Crimson eyes burning in rage.

"You are under arrest," The whaleman growled.

"Not if I kill you!" The Captor shouted running at the hero. It didn't end well. The fight was over faster than it started. The hero thrust an open palm forward hitting the captor in the chest. That was all it took. The captor fell to the floor out cold.

"Anyone else here?" The Hero asked while cuffing the unconscious captor. The hero looked towards the boy after not getting a response. "Oh,"

"What's happening?" Ryukyu asked.

"Breach successful. One captor engaged and neutralized. Situation under control," Gang Orca replied.

"On my way," Ryukyu spoke.

"Are you ok?" Gang Orca asked looking at the boy. The boy didn't respond.

"Gang Orca, Back up is here," Ryukyu's voice called out.

"Hold on," Gang Orca said his eyes not leaving the boy. "We're here to help," The boy still didn't move. His eyes kept darting between the hero and the door. Kugo stared for a few more seconds before a thought came to him.

"You remind me of my daughter," Kugo spoke. That got the boy's attention. "Her horns curve around her head like a ram. Yours are more like a bull's just more upturned," The boy's focus was entirely on the hero now.

"Would you like to meet her?" Kugo asked. "I bet you two would get along wonderfully," The damn broke at that point. The boy ran into Gang Orca's embrace as tears streamed down his face.

"It's ok. I got you," Kugo spoke softly and he stroked the boy's hair.

"We good?" Ryukyu asked from the door.

"We're good," Gang Orca replied as he stood.

"He looks like a purple Izumi," Ryuko said as she stepped up to the two. The boy didn't react. He had already passed out in Kugo's arms.

"Let's get him checked up and get that trash to the station," Ryuko said. With a nod from Kugo the two left.

~An Hour Later: At the Hospital~

"Sure I can't kill the guy instead?" Ryuko asked with a growl as she paced.

"Positive. As much as I'd love to end him too. We're heroes," Kugo replied his eyes following Ryuko.

"That monster wired the boy's mouth shut!" Ryuko shouted losing her cool for the tenth time since they learned the condition of the boy.

"Ryuko," Kugo said grabbing his lover's hand.

"I know... It... It just makes me so mad," Ryuko said stepping closer to Kugo letting him pull her into his arms.

"I know it does," Kugo replied holding Ryuko close.

"I'm not interrupting am I?" The two heroes glanced up to see a massive red-skinned man with upwards pointing horns.

"No, how can we help you?" Ryuko asked standning.

"I'm Detective Nisshoku and I've been assigned to help with the boy," The detective answered.

"Were you able to find out who he is?" Kugo asked.

"Yes and we've arrested his parents," Nisshoku replied.

"Arrested... so they sold the boy to his captor?" Kugo clarified.

"Correct. The moment the kidnapper woke up he sold out the parents in an attempt to make a deal. Too bad for him we weren't looking to make a deal," Nisshoku laughed lightly.

"What's going to happen to him now?" Ryuko asked.

"Most likely he'll go into the foster program," Nisshoku answered. Ryuko looked towards Kugo who looked to be deep in thought.

"I know what you're thinking," Ryuko said.

"We have space," Kugo stated.

"You want to take the boy in?" Nisshoku asked surprised.

"On that topic we kind of got side-tracked. What's the boy's name?" Ryuko asked.

"Right," Nisshoku laughed. "Shinso Hitoshi, eight years old, quirk: Brainwashing,"

"That's a powerful quirk," Kugo said.

"I really hope you two don't make a habit out of finding and adopting demonic-looking children," Recovery girl's voice spoke as the door to Hitoshi's room opened.

"How is he?" Ryuko asked quickly.

"He'll be right as rain. Whoever wired his mouth shut did a good job so it was easy to remove and fix. It worries me how clean it was done. The captor must have taken the boy to an actual doctor to have it done," Recovery Girl explained.

"It was probably done by the boy's father. The man was a dentist," Nisshoku stated.

"What kind of monster would wire their own child's mouth shut?" Kugo asked.

"One that deserves to spend the rest of his life behind bars," Ryuko growled.

"Probably where he'll remain," Nisshoku replied.

"Is he awake?" Kugo asked.

"Not at the moment. He'll be out for a few hours. You two should either eat or get cleaned up quickly. I think it will be best if you are in there when he wakes," Recovery Girl stated.

"Think I should get Izumi?" Ryuko asked tabbing her chin.

"A good idea. Perhaps seeing another "demon" would comfort him," Kugo replied with air quotes.

"You stay here then. I'll go get her and be back as soon as I can," Ryuko said not waiting for Kugo to reply before she took off. Kugo smiled softly his eyes on his lover's form as she left.

"Try not to stare too much sonny," Recovery Girl poked Kugo's side with her cane.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Kugo coughed trying to look innocent.

"Just wait in the room and stay quiet. Let him sleep while he can," Recovery Girl ordered.

"Yes ma'am," Kugo bowed lightly before heading into the room.

~Kugo Homestead~

Izumi smiled lightly as she slept in her little protective cocoon. Her wings wrapped around her hiding her away from the sun. Her eyes snapped open feeling a hand gently touch her wing.

"Izumi," the voice of her mother called softly.

"Momma," Izumi smiled as her wings opened revealing the smiling face of Ryuko. "Momma!" Izumi shouted jumping into Ryuko's open arms.

"How was your nap?" Ryuko asked.

"Good," Izumi smiled lightly. "Grandma said you wouldn't be home for a lot longer. Did something happen?"

"Yeah and now we need your help," Ryuko said.

"My help?" Izumi asked confused. "What can I do?"

"Daddy and I saved a little boy from a bad man," Izumi smiled brightly. Her parents were awesome. "This little boy has purple skin and horns," Ryuko added causing Izumi's eyes to go wide.

"HE'S LIKE ME!" Izumi shouted almost flying out of Ryuko's arms.

"Yes, a lot like you. We hope seeing someone like him will help keep him calm when he wakes up," Ryuko explained. Izumi barely waited for Ryuko to finish talking before she started to free herself from her mother's arms.

"I gotta get dressed," Izumi said quickly as she all but tore her pajamas off and ran to her closet. "Momma, where's my dress with the purple flowers on it?"

"You want to wear that one?" Ryuko asked.

"He's purple so I wanna wear purple for him," Izumi replied.

"It's hanging up in the laundry room. I washed it last night," Ryuko answered. "I'll grab it you get the rest of your clothes on," Izumi obeyed and continued to change.

~Hospital Room~

Hitoshi slowly opened his eyes. He couldn't remember where he was. The last thing he could remember was the door to his Captor's Hideout shattering. "Take it easy. You're safe at the hospital," Hitoshi's head snapped to the side to see a massive man sitting out of reach.

Kugo stood slowly making sure the boy could follow him so he wouldn't frighten the still groggy boy. "We've removed the muzzle, mask, and wires. You should be able to talk now. But drink first. Your throat is probably pretty dry," Kugo explained as he offered a cup and straw for the boy to drink.

Hitoshi's hand moved to his mouth. The whaleman wasn't lying. His mouth wasn't wired shut, the mask was gone, the muzzle removed. Hitoshi slowly looked at the hero in awe. He was actually free?

A soft knock came to the door as Hitoshi finally took the water from Kugo. "Come in,"

"Oh you're awake," Ryuko said as she slipped in.

"Just woke up," Kugo replied.

"Thank-" Hitoshi started to say before coughing.

"It's ok. Take it easy," Ryuko said giving Hitoshi a kind smile. "If you're up for it our daughter is just outside. She'd love to meet you,"

"Yes," Hitoshi nodded rapidly. If she really looked like him then maybe he wouldn't be alone.

"Izumi," Ryuko called out. "You can come,"

Hitoshi's eyes widened as the girl stepped in. Pitch black skin, glowing green eyes, curled ram horns, large bat wings, and clawed hands and feet. She wore a stark white dress with purple flowers decorating it. Hitoshi couldn't speak. To him, a literal angel had walked into the room.

"Hi," Izumi said happily.

"H... Hi," Hitoshi replied slowly still staring at the girl.

"Momma was right. You do look like me," Izumi giggled happily. She never thought she'd see another 'Demon' in her life.

"I'm not the only one," Hitoshi said softly. "I'm not alone?" Izumi moved closer to Hitoshi seeing him starting to tear up.

"You'll never be alone again," Izumi said pulling Hitoshi into a hug.

"Looks like we have a son," Ryuko whispered to Kugo.

"That it does," Kugo replied a smile on his face. Life just kept getting better.
