Chapter Six: Dinner, Death and a Nightmare

~Notes~ Hey all. I hope you enjoy chapter six.

Chapter Start!

Todoroki Enji stepped through the front door of his house. As the door closed he dropped his head to avoid a flying kick. "Still too slow," Enji laughed as he caught his would-be attacker.

"I'll get you one day pops," Enji's oldest son, Touya, growled as Enji held him for a few seconds before releasing him.

"Of that, I have no doubt," Enji smiled as he clapped his son's shoulder. "Your flames grow in power each passing year. Pretty soon yours will be stronger than mine," Touya smiled at the praise. Enji often wondered what would've happened had his son not going through a physical metamorphosis when he was six. Before then he kept hurting himself with his flames. His body was simply too weak to handle them. Then his body changed. His skin took a deep blue shade becoming almost completely resistant to his fires. On top of that, his eyes started to glow the same burning blue as his fire.

"You ok old man?" Touya asked seeing his father had zoned out.

"I'm fine," Enji said banishing the unneeded thoughts. They didn't matter.

"Daddy!" Enji felt his heart melt slightly.

"Yumi-chan!" Enji shouted running past his oldest to see his second.

"Wrapped around her finger," Touya mumbled under his breath as he followed.

"I heard that," Touya only laughed in response as Enji yelled back all the while giving Fuyumi a large hug.

"But is he wrong?" Natsuo, the third child, asked from his spot on the couch.

"Not even a little," Shoko, the youngest, replied not looking up from her tablet. Unlike the other two Shoko had gone through the same change as her elder brother. Where he became blue she was divided. Her right arm and leg had turned deathly pale while her left arm and leg and turned a deep crimson mimicking her quirk and hair. Half Cold, Half Hot.

"Now now. Enough games. Get cleaned up we have guests coming over tonight," Enji said releasing Fuyumi from his hug.

"Guests?" All four kids asked.

"The Sakamata Family," Enji answered.

"And they are?" Natsuo asked.

"Gang Orca, Ryukyu, and their three kids," Rei said entering the room.

"How old are they?" Fuyumi asked.

"All Shoko's age," Rei answered.

"Oh cool Shoko can finally get some friends," Natsuo joked.

"I have friends. They just live in other countries," Shoko shot back pointing at her tablet.

"Whatever," Natsuo rolled his eyes.

"Go get cleaned up," Enji reiterated.

"Yes dad," the four replied.

~Hour Later~

"Now remember. Best behavior," Ryuko said looking at the three kids following her.

"You say that to all of us... But I feel like that was aimed at me," Rumi laughed out.

"Because it was," Hitoshi said with a smirk.

"Shut up," Rumi shot back.

"Kids," Kugo said calmly as they reached their destination.

"As I was saying. Best behavior. Endeavor is being very kind in allowing us to meet with him on his off time," Ryuko said giving all three of her kids a stern stare.

"We promise," all three replied.

"Good," Ryuko said as they got out of the car.

~Todoroki Household~

"Sakamata-san, It's a pleasure to meet you," Rei said with a slight bow as Kugo walked up.

"The pleasure is mine Todoroki-san," Kugo replied.

"It's going to be a very confusing night if we keep up pretenses. Enji and Rei are fine," Enji said offering a hand to Kugo.

"Kugo and Ryuko are fine for us then as well," Ryuko smiled as she watched Kugo and Enji shake.

"Uh..." Ryuko looked at Rei seeing the men nearly glaring at each other.

"Oh don't worry. Enji always does this," Rei laughed.

"Ow... ok you win damn," Enji laughed pulling his hand back.

"Good to hear," Kugo laughed.

"The fu-" Ryuko coughed quickly. "What was that?"

"You mean you trying to cover up your curse or the men having a little test of strength?" Rei asked with a knowing smirk.

"Oh, you're a smart ass," Ryuko laughed. "I like you,"

"And these must be your hellions," Enji glanced past Kugo.

"Yup. Kids," Kugo turned letting Enji and Rei see them properly.

"Sakamata Hitoshi," Hitoshi bowed.

"Sakamata Rumi," Rumi gave a half bow.

"Midoriya Izumi," Izumi gave a full bow.

"Come inside. You can meet our little monsters," Rei smiled letting the family enter.

~Hours Later~

After dinner was eaten and the children were excused to play. The parents sat and discussed. "I think I could help you," Enji said rubbing his chin. "Well, Rei could help you. Not so much myself,"

"You lead your children's exercises?" Ryuko asked.

"I used to study physical therapy and personal fitness," Rei replied. "So I know what the body needs to stay in top shape and how to work it best to not cause harm,"

"And you're ok taking in three more for this?" Kugo asked.

"Oh, that's not an issue. As a stay-at-home mom, I need things to occupy myself. This will be fun," Rei replied with a smirk.

"We'd greatly appreciate it," Kugo said.

"Then we can start Monday. Have them come over after school," Rei stated.

"Thank you," Ryuko said.

"Mom!" a shout gained the parent's attention.

"Did something happen?" Rei asked seeing Natsuo run in.

"Midoriya-san picked up Shoko and is flying around," Natsuo said.

"Izumi!" Kugo shouted as the four parents got up.

"She wanted to fly!" Izumi shouted as the parents stepped outside to see Izumi and Shoko up in the air.

"That doesn't mean you just do it!" Ryuko shouted. "Now get down here,"

"Yes Momma," Izumi replied lowering to the ground.

"If you wanted to try something like that you should ask us first," Kugo said as the girls touched down.

"I asked her too. Don't get too mad at her," Shoko said with a bow.

"That does sound accurate," Rei said with a sigh.

"Just ask us next time," Enji said trying not to laugh.

"It is getting late. Perhaps we should head home," Ryuko said looking at her husband.

"Quiet. Kids time to head home," Kugo said.

"Yes dad," the three kids replied.

~Toshinori Home~

A young man laid in his bed tossing slightly. His sleep was plagued with bad memories. Sweat started to soak his clothes as he tossed and turned. "No," He cried quietly as he rolled. "I didn't mean to," he called out to the darkness.

"It wasn't my fault," He gripped his sheets.

"MOM!" Tenko screamed as he shot up from his bed.

"Tenko!" The door to his room slammed open as Toshinori ran in.

"Sorry," Tenko replied wiping sweat from his brow.

"Never apologize for having a nightmare son," Toshinori said sitting down on the edge of his son's bed. Placing a hand on his son's back to try and calm him.

"I hate that I keep having that nightmare," Tenko said solemnly.

"You lived through a very traumatic event. It doesn't matter how long ago it was," Toshinori said rubbing small circles on Tenko's back.

"I know dad... It's just," Tenko looked at his hands. "If I didn't have this quirk,"

"None of that," Toshinori said quickly. "Don't forget this quirk," He grabbed his son's hands. "Has saved lives,"

"It ended lives too," Tenko replied sadly.

"It doesn't make you a bad person," Toshinori said. "You were four years old, abused, and having a mental breakdown. The fact that you regained control before you hurt your sister is a gift,"

"I just wish this stupid nightmare would stop," Tenko growled.

"Son," Toshinori spoke softly. "These hands," Toshinori lifted Tenko's hands. "Have saved more lives than mine have,"

Tenko smiled slightly. "Thanks, Dad," Tenko sighed. He wasn't sure why that line always seemed to help the most.

"I love you, son," Toshinori said hugging Tenko.

"I love you too dad," Tenko replied.

"Now try to get some sleep. Seems like you didn't wake your sister or she'd be in here with me," Toshinori looked towards the door just as some locks of black hair moved away.

"Goodnight Dad," Tenko said as Toshinori reached the door.

"Sleep well my boy," Toshinori smiled.

~Unknown Location~

"Doctor," A weak voice spoke.

"Save your energy, my old friend," the doctor replied as he desperately tried to save his friend and master.

"It's too late," All For One coughed. "I won't make it,"

"Sensei," Ujiko said sorrowfully.

"Inform Jack and the Seven of Ten. Japan is theirs," All For One said as his eyes slowly closed and his life slipped away.

"Farewell my friend," Doctor Ujiko said quietly.
