Their peaceful moment was broken by a knock on the door. Piper groaned, refusing to let go. "What?"
"Piper?"
Piper pushed herself off of Zankou fixing herself up quickly. "One second." Zankou flamed out, letting her know he'd be in the underworld. Giving herself one last glance in the mirror, she yanked the door open. "Paige, what's up?"
"W-what are you doing here?" Her youngest sister poked her head in, searching for anything out of the ordinary. "Allison is alone out here."
"I know Paige, I was just looking for some papers." Grabbing some random ones on the table, she walked out of the room. "What's up? I thought you had work?"
"I did-do." Taking a seat on the barstool, she sighed. "I don't know what to do with the seer. She's driving me insane!"
"Talk to the elders." Piper replied. "Tell them they should find another white lighter for her." Seeing the thoughtful look on Paige's face, she leaned forward on the bar. "What's on your mind?"
"It's what you said last time. What if the seer was given to me, so she can spy on us?" Paige whispered. "Maybe they want to use her again to take Zankou down once more."
Piper had already thought of this. It was one of the reasons she wanted the seer out of the house. "If that's their plan it won't work. Zankou wants to kill the woman on sight, I don't think he'd let her in his bed anytime soon."
"Then maybe to spy on us?" Paige wondered.
"If that's the case then it's a good thing she's out of the manor." Piper grinned. "Phoebe already set a cloaking spell on the manor and club. They have no eyes or ears in either place. So be careful what you say and do outside of them."
"Where is Zankou?" Allison glanced at Piper with the biggest doe eyes.
Paige frowned. "Zankou? He was here?"
Piper sighed. "He came to update me on the happenings. Was here for a moment and then left."
"He left?" Allison asked.
Piper saw the tears begin to form in her eyes. "Oh, sweetie don't cry. He will be back." Seeing that wasn't helping, she glanced at Paige. "A little help?"
"Allison, why don't we go shopping. We still need to buy you clothes." Paige held her hand out for the child, frowning when she refused.
Allison crossed her arms, plotting down on the barstool. "Zankou going?"
"He's busy doing…stuff." Paige mumbled. "He can't go."
"Then I don't want to go either."
Piper hid her laughter behind her hand. "Someone has a crush."
"Oh, not her." Paige groaned. "Is everyone destined to fall for a demon?" Paige yelped at the slap she got on the arm. "What?!"
"She doesn't know about that yet." Piper hissed.
Paige flinched. "Right sorry."
"Are you going to call Zankou back?" Allison said in the most grown-up voice she could muster. "I will hold my breath."
Piper shared a look his Paige, laughing with Allison took in a deep breath, and held it. "I'll go get him."
Paige rolled her eyes. "Hurry up, I have to get back to work."
Piper walked back into the office, only to groan and walk back out. "Paige you are my phone." She gave the youngest a pointed look.
Paige pulled a face only to gasp. "Right!" Giving Allison her apple juice, she jogging towards the room. "Just get you there?"
"Yeah, I am sure Zankou will be okay with bringing me back." Piper took her hand, taking in a deep breath. To her surprise, they arrived in Zankou's chambers. "How did you know to shimmer here?"
Paige shrugged. "I don't know, it felt as if something was guiding me."
"Weir-"
Both sisters jumped at the sound of a loud thud and someone yelling. Running towards the entrance of the room they popped their heads out. Zankou was in the hallway, holding some demon against the wall. His hand wrapped around the demon's throat, feet dangling below.
"Why don't you repeat those words in front of me." He growled.
The lower demon shook his head violently. "Forgive me Zankou, I wasn't thinking when I spoke."
"You want to join Malik simply because I have joined sides with the charmed sisters. That is your choice." Zankou leaned closer, growling in the demon's ear. "But if you so much as touch any of the sisters, I will personally take pleasure in skinning you alive."
"I-I didn't mean what I said. I swear!" He cried. "P-please Zankou. Forgive me." His hands clawing Zankou's wrist, begging for his life.
Zankou studied the demon in front of him. "I don't believe you." With that he squeezed his throat, letting go only after hearing a snap. "Such pests." Stepping over the body, he froze at the two females staring at him wide-eyed. "What in the hell are you two doing here?!"
Paige grabbed her sister's arm, pushing her towards the angry demon. "Her idea. I am just the ride." She shimmered out of there before either could say anything.
Piper gapped at her cowardly sister. "And she vanquishes demons for a living." Turning back towards Zankou, she flinched at the angry look he held. "I missed you."
"Piper that's not going to work." Zankou grabbed her by the arm, dragging her into the room. "Do you understand the danger you are putting yourself in?"
Piper sighed. "Yes, I know, but I needed to talk to you."
"Then call me! I can't have y-" Zankou stopped mid yell, taking in a deep breath. Piper wasn't one of his demons. She wasn't someone he could just yell and order. He didn't want to either. "Forgive me. But you need to understand. Although I have the respect of most of my men, they are still demons and you are still a charmed one."
"I know." Placing her hand on his chest, she slid it up and around his neck. "I need you to come back to PH3."
"Your club? Why?"
"I have a child that refuses to breathe until she sees you." Piper leaned her head on his chest.
Zankou wrapped his arms around her waist, frowning down at her. "Am I supposed to know what that means?"
"It means Allison has threatened to not breathe until she sees you again." Piper mumbled, the rumble of Zankou's chuckle vibrating under her. "I need you to make her breath again."
Taking in a deep breath, he exhaled slowly. "Alright, I got nothing more to do anything here anyway."
Piper hummed. "What was that back there?"
"Nothing important." Holding her close, he flamed them out and back into the PH3 office. "Any particular reason why she requested to see me?"
Piper chuckled. "I think she might have a small crush on you."
Giving her an annoyed look, he opened the door allowing her to walk out first. The second the child laid eyes on him, her cheeks turned bright red. Walking over to her, he took a seat beside her. "You breathing yet?" She nodded. "You wanted me, well here I am."
Allison didn't say anything, she simply looped her arm into his and continued her coloring.
Paige rolled her eyes, grabbing her bag. "What is going on with this world." Waving bye to Piper and Allison, she left for her already late meeting.
Piper walked around the bar, grabbing a beer and handing it to Zankou. "Question, can you even get drunk?"
"No." He took a swing of the beer. "But believe me, sometimes I wish I could."
"So, no matter the amount of liquor?" Piper asked.
Zankou shook his head. "No. The same goes for any drugs. No effect at all."
"Hmm, lucky you." Glancing at Allison, she smiled at seeing her still clutching his arm. "Any progress with Malik?"
"I have a set-in motion a plan that will draw him out," Zankou said. "I need him out in the open."
"And you think he will attack in the manor?" Piper asked.
Zankou nodded. "Maybe not right away, but in the end it's where he will aim for. He knows what the deal between us means. So, trying to go after you fi-six is becoming a priority for him."
Piper shivered. "We always knew a storm had to come in order to get the peace we wanted."
"It will end just as quickly as it will start." Zankou growled. "Malik may be strong, but he doesn't have the smarts to beat me in the end."
"Zankou, he stabbed you with a knife." Piper pointed out.
"Lucky shot."
"You were stabbed?" Allison's low voice was heard.
Zankou glanced down at the girl, having completely forgotten she was there. One of the many reasons he probably wouldn't be a good father. He'd lose the child. "That was a long time ago, I'm fine now."
"C-can I see?" She whispered.
Zankou shook his head. "Let's not. It's just healing."
"Allison, why don't you start packing up." Piper gave her a small smile. "We have to get back home."
"Okay." Gathering her books and colors, she ran over to her bag. "I need to use the restroom."
"Go ahead, there is one in the office."
Zankou waited until the girl was out of sight, before pulling Piper into a kiss. "What are you doing tonight?"
"Attending the club." She hummed. "Why?"
"I need to see you tonight." He whispered. "Can you make time?"
Piper frowned. "Phoebe will be hereafter 11 pm, she can cover for a while."
"That works."
"What's the problem?"
"Nothing major." He grinned.
